One of the best flat whites I've ever had. I don't exaggerate
You know a place is confident in delivering the very best when they don't have a menu and only go by a few questions. No fancy branding, no frills, well off the beaten track. You take a seat and need only ask and you'll get it made for you, pronto, with great care
I first got a flat white because I think it's a good way to judge a specialty coffee place. They give you some water on the side, which is always appreciated. The drink itself was phenomenal. Fruity, not bitter, and with perfectly foamed milk
I then got a cortado and a small biscuit. Each drink had only one shot, but it's a large one, they said. I asked after feeling the nice heady high of a fuerte shot first thing in the morning
The beans are local, and the entire operation is clearly a labor of love. They have the latest equipment and know how best to use it. It'll bring a tear to any coffee nerd's eyes.
You can get here by bus pretty easily if you want, but an Uber here is worth the few bucks
As a bonus, the prices are a bargain especially for the quality. 125 pesos (about 6.50 USD) for the three things I got
Support this place if you can! It deserves it
I dropped by for the nighttime cocktail operation too, and it is similar in the vibe. The owner and proprietor chatted me up for a good long while and explained the cocktails he makes as well as the one beer he had, and it was a great experience. Again, a bargain for the quality, attention, care, and overall attention to detail
