Has something for everyone: a playground for the kids. A trail for the adults. Picnic tables for those who want to relax. The trail seemingly does not have much tree cover as a heads up.

Not Just a Park – A Place Where Memories Take Root! Independence park isn’t just where kids swing under open skies or teens snap high school photos; it’s where families come alive. It’s the laughter echoing from the football fields, the serenity of a hilltop trail, and the joy of discovering fresh treasures at the Saturday farmers’ market. Whether you're seeking connection or quiet, this park delivers. From festive Halloween trick-or-treating to moments of reflection under a canopy of trees, it’s a place that feels like home—for everyone. It’s not just a visit. It’s an experience that touches your heart and leaves you yearning to return. Come feel the magic ✨️ for yourself.

I highly recommend Independence Park as a venue for events like the Autism Fair hosted by Autism Moms of Houston. The fair was an incredible experience—well-organized, inclusive, and full of valuable resources for families and individuals affected by autism. The park provided a spacious, accessible, and welcoming environment that made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. There were a wide variety of booths featuring vendors, support services, and community organizations offering helpful information, products, and tools tailored to the autism community. It was heartwarming to see so many families connecting, sharing experiences, and accessing much-needed support. Overall, Independence Park served as the perfect backdrop for this meaningful event, and I would definitely recommend it for future community fairs, especially those focused on inclusion, awareness, and support.

The park has been through renovations recently and they have done wonders. There is ample of parking, restrooms, park benches. The park is clean and well maintained. Caters to various activities for all age groups- kids play ground to covered / shaded areas for games like basketball. There is also a dog park next to it. Has good number of trees and the lawn was well maintained green. A good relaxing place to just stroll around.

We had been to see the 4th July fireworks. They had made very good arrangements for visitors to come hassle free and enjoy the fireworks. Excellent traffic management and security by Pearland Police department and City of Pearland

I have to admit that I've been spoiled by the John Hargrove and Clear Creek trails which might not be a fair comparison to a park. The park has nice amenities like a playground, a stage/amphitheatre, tennis courts, basketball pavilion and a large dog park. All in all it's pleasant but I like my wildlife and relief features of the trails. Oh, the Christmas/Holiday decorations were a nice touch. Enjoy.

Plenty parking spots, separate areas for large/medium and small size dogs. Lots of room for several dogs in both areas... my Husky loves it. We miss a water pond... that's the only reason I don't give it a 5 starts
