We tried this place for the weekend lunch buffet. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated. Our server explain the buffet and got or drinks. The buffet was very clean and well organized. They had a large selection of Indian and Asian foods on the buffet. We tried a little of everything on the buffet and everything was hot and delicious. Our favorite being the goat curry, but all the other dishes like Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo were just incredibly cooked to perfection. Everything was so freshly prepared. Our server was attentive, friendly and very helpful. The server kept our drinks full and dishes cleared. The restaurant and buffet were very clean. This will become a favorite stop for us.

Google
I don’t give too many places 5 stars but this one deserves it. Customer service was fine but the food was amazing! We did takeout and I had to driver 15 minutes home. My husband said he loved it. It was a Sunday afternoon at a busy time when we went. It took them about 30 minutes so my daughter and I went next door to Goodwill to shop while we waited. We definitely be back.

Google
I order spicy Butter chicken, I was expecting chicken breast, but was made with the dark chicken, and not spicy at all… I order butter naan and was hard to eat the texture was weird the only think was ok was the rice im very disappointment (price Vs food quality)

Pauls Davis

Google
The quality of food has come down considerably. Butter chicken is not made well. But the service is excellent. They could do better with some good interiors and ambience.

Our whole family loves India Garden. Food is so delicious and they are wonderful people. My kids love coming here and talking with the owner and are always made to feel welcome!

Google
The chef personally attended to us and boy he was very friendly. We told him we were vegetarian so he made a special dish and it was great. Looks like the management changed a few months back. I overheard another customer appreciating a non-veg dish. I would strongly recommend this place if you haven't tried it yet. You will give them a five star rating as well.

Google
The chicken tikka masala is to die for! I've been here more than a half dozen times and is always clean. I wish it was busier, this place deserves the crowd. Great masala and curry. Their rice is fantastic, always soft and fluffy and moist. They have homemade soda and yogurt drinks too! The service is more than friendly and the food is always great. Update, they have a new menu that is even easier to read and looks amazing! They added Kerala Parotta, which is a croissant like naan bread, that is so buttery and flakey and pulls apart in strings... So amazing, and perfect to dip into your curry's. I tried the goat saag, and the lamb vindaloo, and both are fantastic. Goat tastes a little like brisket, the way it pulls apart, while lamb tasted a little like beef. Both amazing, and with a bit of spice it's perfect to get soaked up into their fluffy rice

Google
India Garden is AMAZING✨ I absolutely love their food. Especially their Butter Chicken, Basmati Rice, and Garlic Naan! I can’t handle spicy food but I LOVE this place! They have a range of options for spiciness, which is so appreciate! I always leave there with a smile on my face. The staff are great. I 100% recommend!

Yelp
They have very nice service and if you have a party, they've got a room towards the back that's gonna be exquisite! And they bring really good service and delightfully good food. The way you actually order it you were in India and the food is very tasty! It's a delicious place to order from and take home, or sit inside and eat in a pleasant atmosphere with lots of accommodations to bring you what you want and a peaceful atmosphere!

Yelp
What do you think of when it comes to Indian food? Hot? Spicy? Mind-blowing flavors? If you guessed hot, you were correct. But hot as in the temperature inside the establishment. I think it was no less than 80 degrees in there. They had an AC unit which was running but that thing was not going to cool the entire restaurant. There was no way. Service. Wow. Mediocre at best. The food comes out rather quickly and the seating is good. The decor does not fit the establishment's roots. I think they need to go back to the drawing board and make it feel like I am on foreign land when stepping inside and trying out Indian food. I ordered the lamb masala with buttered naan and lollipop chicken. The lamb was cooked beautifully, the curry was also very tasteful. Rice was good as expected. I mostly mixed everything with the rice. Now, for the lollipop chicken. They need to take that thing off the menu or re-create it. There were more crispy parts than chicken itself. Unseasoned as well. I ordered a lime soda and it was decent. I think if you ordered here to go, your experience will be a lot different. Customer service was sub-par. With only 1 waitress, the restaurant was not even busy but yet it took me 8 minutes to cash out. Staff need to be more attentive to their customers. Would I try the food here again? Yes. But only if they fix or get a bigger air conditioning unit.

Yelp
Wow big changes here! Another management change Red solo cups instead of glassware Very informal and tables have thin plastic table cloths Food is not same quality as a year ago or even 7 years ago Malai kofta and garlic naan had no salt and very bland We ordered butter chicken no spice but it came spicy for my daughter Server was nice but he kept forgetting everything and served us the ticket then told us he forgot to add the mango lassie It was a comical lunch Only 1 toilet now Back room had trash on the floor Doubt we will ever return

Yelp
I only order through DoorDash so I can't speak to the actual restaurant (service/staff), but their lamb biryani is by far the best I've had since moving back to Dallas fm SF. Every time I order it's exceptional! I prefer their butter naan to the garlic bc they don't use any fresh garlic (just uncooked garlic powder which is bitter IMO). I just add my own chopped/smashed garlic at home.

Yelp
The service and atmosphere were great! However the food was the reason for the 4 stars. It honestly may be that I'm used to my spot in Richardson but the spices were different. I may come back to give it a go because of the service and atmosphere. I will say that I'm going to order something different before I decide to return a third time or not.
google avatar

Douglas M.

Yelp
Only vegetarian selection was rice and dal. Onion pakora. Bread. Lots of meat. Many kinds of animals on buffet. Won't return.
google avatar

Yelp
Only had delivery but continue to be impressed! Perfect sauces, the lamb saag is amazing.

Yelp
This is a good place. I came after 5 years. Management has changed. A/C was not working but it's okay The new owner Gigi was nice We ordered chicken Chicken Chettinad' Food was super delicious. Highly recommended

Elle B.

Yelp
Although yelp shows that the restaurant is closed today, it's not closed. The food is really good and fresh. My favorites are chicken Hakka noodles, lamb and the chicken biryani. The breads are also delicious. Try it. It's delicious

Yelp
The restaurant was empty when we arrived and I discovered why....the a/c was non existent and the few fans that were installed just moved hot air around, even the hostess was constantly fanning herself with a menu. Talking of which, they looked outdated and kids colored pictures would have worked better. The food arrived and it had been prepared for some time and it was not too bad....I would have preferred it without the pain in the ass flies that were buzzing around the table. We finished what we could and left. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Spent around 85$ here on Saturday for my pickup order. We got an order of butter chicken , lamb vindaloo, samosas, tondoori chicken, and mixed meat platter with two orders of naan. I was a little disappointed by it all. The rice was a relatively small portion. The samosas had way too much filling and not enough dough. The filling had chunks of potato and whole peas which is different than what I'm used to. The tandoori chicken was over cooked and flavorless. The butter chicken saucewas good but the chicken was over cooked and rough . The lamb was cooked well in the vindaloo but the sauce lacked flavor. The naan was also a little too thin. My fiancé and I absolutely LOVE Indian food. Since moving here we have yet to find anywhere that holds water to what we're used to so the search for a Indian place we'll frequently continues

Yelp
I've been curious about India Garden for a while now and I'm so glad I ordered it tonight. I ordered the Palak Paneer, Masala Dosa and Garlic Naan via UberEats. When it arrived, it was packaged nicely and securely. The palak paneer was a little sweet and more creamy than what I am used to, but it was still very good. The masala dosa came with Sambar and a coconut chutney (spicy! But yum!) and the garlic naan was great too. I'm so happy I finally took a chance on India Garden.

Yelp
They sell uncooked bread ! Very low quality food !not good for health ! I will never recommend this restaurant! This restaurant is harmful for health of peoples !

Yelp
Sad location, sad decor, and poor service. The attraction is the all-you-can-eat buffet. I was reminded of a place we used to frequent in Dubai that also had a buffet and was very popular with Indian and Pakistani workers. The difference is that place charged $2.95 (back in 2003) and had fewer flies. As an added "feature," I never received my 10% off yelp check-in bonus despite showing it to our waitress and manager several times.

Megan M.

Yelp
They have a buffet on the weekends that's great! All of their entrees are good. Great service and great food. 100% recommend

Bowie R.

Yelp
Great food and service!! Mgmt is very helpful with the menu and suggestions. Every order is well provided and plentiful

Yelp
I've been eating here a number of years as I live close by. The food has remained consistent, vegetarian dish are very flavorful while the chicken and seafood ones tend to be under seasoned. I suspect that the chef is a vegetarian and not tasting the dishes containing meat. My only real complaint, however, is the decor. It used to be so lovely, with saffron colored walls, Indian art, real tablecloths, etc (see photos). Now it's sterile and uninviting, with whitewashed walls and paper on the tables. Feels more like a cheap diner than an Indian restaurant. I'm ordering takeout from now on, as I don't enjoy sitting in there knowing how nice it used to be.

Jo A.

Yelp
Bad chicken shahi korma ordered takeout could not eat it just bad chicken. Had to toss this won't order from this place again first and last time
google avatar

Bud L.

Yelp
Good, great food. Terrible interior, it looks like a modern American restaurant. I will only order to go food

Celena B.

Yelp
Amazing butter chicken!!! Mouthwatering! The nan bread variety just makes the experience even better. I still dream about the food, it's that good. Costs you an arm and leg but totally worth it.

Jabeen L.

Yelp
Tasteless with very few options in the Buffet They had dry chicken 65 and cold pakoras Went there today for lunch. There was one chicken curry and there was PORK curry....never seen that in a buffet! For vegetable options there was yuca, cabbage sabji, mix vegetable curry that was watery and that was it! Naan was dry and hard to eat 1 desert only. The price is $20 a person for this meager buffet. I cannot understand how they have a 4 star rating....
google avatar

Ramatoulie R.

Yelp
ordered Butter chicken and garlic naan for dinner tonight. I made the mistake of ordering the spicy version of the butter chicken. It was delicious but my mouth was on fire the whole time Next time I would probably get the mild version but it was still very good! The garlic naan was delicious as well. Fresh garlic and the naan was nicely toasted.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Ordered on Uber. Specifically noted NO COCONUT MILK because of food allergies. Nope who cares. And the goat curry was mostly bones. DISGUSTING and inconsiderate. Never again.
google avatar

Judy S.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with friends. They frequent here often and have been telling me how good it is. Well I was not disappointed. The food was delish! I had Chicken Tiki Marsela and they had Chicken Shahi Karma with garlic Nan. So so good. Didn't seem like alot of food but I'm taking home left overs. Very filling. The Naan is the bomb! I would go there again. Sorry I didn't take a pic before I ate all the food.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. I went in on a date with my husband this Sunday afternoon, and the food was delicious. The serving size is more than enough for leftovers. What really sold me though was this: I complimented the owner on how pretty their copper side bowls were and asked where he got them. He said "You can buy them from and Indian bazaar in Plano, but I can just give you some if you want." And sent me home with bowls! Didn't ask me to buy some from him, just gave them to me as a gift. I'm so grateful.

Yelp
Wonderful, love the spices you can talk the food is made with love you have to try it
google avatar

Vikas N.

Yelp
The ambiance is lacking, the food is bland and uninspiring, and they have beef curry. What Indian restaurant serves that? Don't waste your money.
google avatar

Bobbi S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our dinners of Chicken Shahi Korma and Butter Chicken. The former had a great, burn-your-tongue kick of heat to it with excellent flavors & the latter, true to its traditional roots, was creamy with perfect seasonings and all dark meat, which I totally appreciated. Garlic naan was chock filled with garlic. Portions were large, satisfying and, although it's not exactly around the corner, (21 miles away), we hope to dine here again.
google avatar

Jackie W.

Yelp
The food at India Garden was amazing! We had the samosa chaat and butter chicken and it was phenomenal. Our 1.5 year old definitely gave it 5 stars! The service was wonderful too, they were exceptionally kind about said 1.5 year old not being their most cleanly customer.
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
Owner is very friendly and helpful. The food is incredible. My personal favorite is the mutter paneer, but I haven't had anything bad.
google avatar

Cuong N.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday for the buffet. Read on yelp. That's it was decent...ummm not so much. Buffet was very limited options with about 3 proteins 1/2 of which was empty and which they did not keep refilling...had a shrimp dish that wasn't de-veined so u can feel the grit and dirt that was in the shrimp. Terrible experience...would not return

Yelp
Not coming back to this place ever again even if it's the last place to eat indian food. We arrived for lunch on a very slow Saturday afternoon. There was just one other customer and the whole place was empty (looking back understandably so). There was a gentleman who seemed to be the owner of the place who did not care to talk to us. We let them know we are looking to dine in and looking for table for two. He seated us to the table right next where he was standing. Next up, no greeting no talk what so ever - just handed us the menus and immediately came to take the order. We ordered Malai kofta and baingan bharta and a bread basket. Since we were not planning to eating the rice right there, we asked if they could pack it Togo for us. To which, the owner promptly replied but "we have a shortage of Togo containers, I'll still give you some rice". Really!?? I would really like to ask him what does he mean by that because th menu clearly states that the entree comes with rice and is included in the price. So if they can charge for the rice, then why can we not get it Togo? Weirdest thing I've heard by far at an Indian restaurant. We got our food and we started eating. Food - Malai kofta was good and the bread basket was great - which was the only saving grace and the reason this place even received 1 star. The baingan bharta was a joke to the least. We only eat the first serving with salt so we could even eat it. The most surprising part was how the non-indian customers arriving after us were treated. There was an American family who arrived right after us and were seated right behind me. They were asked for water multiple times while the owner walked right past me 4 times but NEVER CARED to ask for water or how the food was. Pretty discriminatory behavior for your Indian customers? Definitely never returning to this location since the owner doesn't appreciate business. I will also get much food and service elsewhere

Yelp
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place! The service is always top notch, everyone is polite and attentive throughout our visits. Perfect for a sit down dinner or to take home. We've ordered both in store and takeout and the quality DOES NOT waver at all. If you're looking for something new and delicious this is definitely the spot! Chicken Lollipops- Fresh, crispy, and juicy Butter Chicken- Sweet, smooth, and creamy (from butter and tomato) Chicken Curry- Earthy, mild spice, creamy (from coconut milk) Garlic Naan- Thin and fluffy Kheer- Sweet rice pudding

Yelp
Our second time here & it's perfect for our Valentines dinner. The food is Authentic! Very good, good size servings. Intimate, romantic setting. Thank you

Uyvonnie F.

Yelp
Love the food! The owner has catered several lunches for my staff. Food is always fresh and flavorful. I tried the tofu for the first time and it was delicious! I always imagined that tofu would have no flavor but I was proven wrong! My favorite has always been the curry shrimp and Naan!!!
google avatar

Joanie S.

Yelp
This used to be a favorite of mine. I'm wondering if there is new ownership. The last 2 times I've ordered food I've been disappointed. It's just not the same.
google avatar

Eric W.

Yelp
Food is not good! Everything over cooked. Very sub par! Will not be back. I will stick with Trader Joe's Indian out of the freezer which is phenomenal compared.

Thomas P.

Yelp
Great butter chicken here. Delicious food that is to die for, and then reincarnated and then to die for... Just repeat that a few million times here. Just kidding! It's an amazing local place that offers traditional food at an affordable price. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to try Indian food.
google avatar

Angie B.

Yelp
Do not get the Goat Curry. I have gotten the Chicken Curry - very delicious and always plenty of meat. But the Goat Curry - was practically ALL BONE. 98% was all bone. Don't bother. Most of it was just sauce and the pieces of meat that were there were the size of my thumbnail. And no, most of the bone pieces did not have any pieces of meat. I was given rice, sauce, and bones. Sauce was tasty at least.
google avatar

Christy S.

Yelp
MMM MMM MMMMMM!! Delicious! The food had wonderful flavors. Personally im a huge fan of indian food and am also picky about it, but this place exceeded my expectations! The flavors brought me to flavor town, the spices were very warming and strong, its like the food gives you a big hug! Definitely and under appreciated gem!
google avatar

Toni W.

Yelp
Hugely disappointed. I said I would not come here again years ago but my son really wanted Indian food. He was hugely disappointed as well. We were told no papadam because they could not get them from India. Hmm??? You don't hand make them? Samosa doughy no crisp to outside, inside filling ok. The meat platter was dry and lacking, especially the Seekh kabob. It was burnt and looked like cat excrement. Moving past that we tried it and it was horribly dry, tough, and inedible. When ask for another offering because it was inedible we were given two small pieces that were slightly better in that I could bite a piece off like jerky. Still not edible. The Butter Chicken was fair but lacking. Will not go here again, even if I am craving Indian food.
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Best Indian food I've ever had. Came here with my partner since we live close by and wanted to try it. The first thing I noticed was how good the food smelled. My mouth was watering the second we walked in. The second thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. Everything was spotless and the whole place just looked really welcoming. We decided to try the vegetable samosas as an appetizer. They were so flaky and the potatoes were perfect. Then we got the butter chicken and the paneer tikka masala with some garlic naan. All of it was heavenly. The naan was to die for, and the butter chicken was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The paneer tikka masala was my favorite, but there wasn't a single thing I didn't like. The server even brought us a complimentary rice pudding for dessert and it was amazing! I am so glad we decided to try this place - after we ate, we were already talking about which day of the week we were going to start coming here from now on. EAT HERE! Or at least order some food to go. You'll be glad you did.
google avatar

Arnetha G.

Yelp
Omgosh the food is amazing. Love this place. Our first time here. I'm a fan of Indian food and I've tried several places. We ordered Veggie Samosas, Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Saag, & Garlic Naan. There are spice levels so we had the Chicken Vindaloo spicy and the Chicken Saag mild. Both were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and assertive. The chef came out twice to check on us. We will be back for sure.

Ashmy A.

Yelp
Best authentic Indian food. Loved every bit of it. Happened to get some food for to go. I felt that all the food tasted really yummy and flavorful. Lot of varieties to choose from. The front staffs were really friendly and courteous and diligently followed the social distancing and made sure the orders were right! Appreciate them! Thanks for making our evening dinner a delicious one.

Ron K.

Yelp
The food is always amazing no matter what I get. It's a little pricey so it's a treat when I go. The staff is always nice and attentive. I recommend them 100%

the food was to die for, the service was pretty good and the ambiance is very peaceful.

Yelp
What a find. We ordered Garlic Naan, Dal Makhni, pumpkin Masala, Meat platter with sampling's of Tandooris, Masala seasonings and all were outstanding. Excellent, friendly service. We will be back.

Yelp
This is my 2nd visit since restaurants fully opened. As always, the food tasted great and the service was on point. Prices are very reasonable. Always my go to spot for Indian food.

Yelp
This restaurant is tucked away in a corner but it's absolutely DELICIOUS! The prices are wonderful for the large amounts of food. I ordered the vegetable platter, butter chicken, and vegetable samosas and it was all FRESH and piping HOT! The samosas are huge and steamy filled with perfectly spiced potatoes, peas, other fillings. The veggie platter was crispy and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quick take out that packs a punch! You will be full and satisfied by the end of your meal!
