This place has only been open 3 months. I have a go-to Indian place but it's closed on Mondays so we decided to try it out. We got there at 1pm on a Monday holiday and it was empty. In fact, we were the only people there the entire time, although a few folks came in to pick up orders.
I'm knocking off half a star (sorry it has to be a whole star) because we waited a long time for our food. At least 45 minutes. I was happy catching up with my friend, so I honestly didn't care, but the 1 year old was not as pleased ;-) However, they made up for it in spades by: 1) bringing out some pakora on the house 2) when it was clear the kiddo was hungry they asked if she could have some mango lassi and brought that out for her 3) it seemed that they cooked everything to-order and 4) it was AMAZING. Plus, they are still new and very small and I never expect perfection from new restaurants. The host/server was so kind and accommodating, he was attentive but was not overbearing.
The food came out sizzling (literally) and it was beautiful to look at. I ordered the veggie tikka masala and it was delicious and filling--I had enough left to bring some home. My friend ordered a bunch of food, of which I tried a bite of palak paneer and enjoyed it. Everything looked so well-prepared. I was impressed. I also drank a bunch of the lassi because you can't feed 16 ounces of sugary beverage to a 12 month old and I thought it was great--thick, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness, very filling and refreshing. When we packed up leftovers the server took the leftover rice away and brought us a fresh bowl to pack up with our food--I was a little sad to waste the rice we already had, but I recognize that this was considered good service.
I wish they had lunch specials so I could get a little less food and save a little money, but I would 100% go here again.
