Yelp
We were craving Indian food and found this place on Yelp. Street parking is easy around the restaurant. The owner was very friendly. It wasn't crowded, so it was easy to get a table. It seems like they do a lot of to-go business. We ordered the chicken tikka-masala and the chicken korma. You can choose your spice level. I mixed the korma and masala sauces together, which I know is unconventional, but the creamy nuttiness of the korma went really well with the sweet tomato tiki-masala. Yummm! They were also tasty separately, especially the tikka-masala, which I would dry OME back for.
We also ordered the garlic naan which was okay. The naan was a little dry and there wasn't enough garlic incorporated in it.
Although we were the only customers in the restaurant, we had to wait a lot. It took a while to get our food, but at least we knew it was freshly made. But, after we got our food, and had finished eating, it took a long time before anyone came to check on us. We finally were able to get a box for our leftovers, but then no one could be found to get the check and again to pay the bill. Even though the owner and server were very friendly and welcoming, they were socializing in the next room not realizing we were ready to box up, pay and leave. Nonetheless, get yourself a great meal whether eat in or take out as it is nice to have some good Indian food on this stretch of Ventura Blvd. to support
