Very tasty food, good portion sizes, and fast service. Thoroughly enjoyed the naan as well, which was both crispy AND soft. The chicken in our dishes was good quality breast meat (you know how heinous it is when restaurants skrimp and throw in crummy meat) and the spicing of all dishes, including the naan, was lovely.

Although I’m sad café colucci is gone, I’m so happy it’s replaced by such a delicious and welcoming Indian restaurant! The atmosphere inside is warm and beautifully decorated. Everything is really nice and clean. The food was amazing as well! The aloo tikki was delicious as an appetizer. Not a big deal but the menu said 4 and we only got 3 for our portion which was still more than enough. The main dishes were tasty as well, the chana masala was well seasoned and fresh, it paired beautifully with the garlic naan. The coconut curry chicken was also really rich and tasty as well. Very comforting on a colder night. The service was wonderful, very attentive. So glad to have this place nearby, and looking forward to going back soon and trying more.

The BEST samosas I’ve had in the Bay Area! They hit all the right notes—perfect spicing, texture, and density. Just as impressive as these yum-triangles was their generosity: they donated them to our fundraising event to help save the dogs of Contra Costa County. I’ll write more after I return to try more dishes…and I absolutely will be back soon. Can’t wait!

I'm so excited for a new and GOOD restaurant in this part of Oakland. So far I've had the lamb saag, mint chicken kebab, aloo gobi, regular and garlic naan, and the mango lassi. Everything has been fresh, generously portioned, and extremely tasty. The lunch bowl (I think it's only available for in person orders) is a great deal in particular, its easily enough for two meals for less that $20, and if you stick to the vegetarian option it's under $15. The decor is cute, very bright and cheerful. The small staff have all been friendly and the chef clearly knows how to handle a kitchen. The owner owns other restaurants in the bay area so I'm hoping that experience will help make this place a success.

I’ve been loving our new go to Indian restaurant that moved into the space where Cafe Colucci used to be. Great, friendly service. Attentive, yet relaxed. I’ve come several times with large groups and they’ve so graciously accommodated us, individual checks and all. Excellent food. Reasonably priced. Sweet cheerful colorful space, yet cozy and chill. And even when the room is full it’s easy to have a relaxed conversation. Highly recommended!

Awesome to have a quick, clean, and tasty Indian restaurant in town. Pani puri, malai kofta, and garlic naan were all great. This is quick and easy North Indian fare. Service is exceptional and while busy, I didn’t have to wait for a table for 1. If you are looking for Indian food in Berkeley, this is a solid choice.

Ordered pickup - chicken vindaloo (spicy), rice and garlic naan. Was excited and started with dipping the naan in curry sauce, sauce was a bit thin/watery and was not spicy but was still optimistic. Once I really dug into the dish itself it was primarily large chunks potato and not much chicken. The chicken that was in the curry was stringy dry white meat. I understand potatoes are a significant component to vindaloo but when paying $16 for a to 2 cup to go bowl of curry I’d hope for either a thicker curry sauce or a better chicken to potato ratio for the price. While the staff were nice for my pickup o would not order from here again given the quality of food.

The food here is incredible, with a varied menu that has some welcomed surprises. The food was piping hot, clearly freshly made to order, and rich with spices. The music and the twinkling lanterns and umbrellas on the ceiling set the right vibe. Not to mention the service came with a smile. This is a great casual or date night spot, just make sure you come with an appetite so you can try everything! We had: chana daal, veg pakoda, aloo gobi, paneer naan, and they were all great.

After ordering the curries and having paid for them, I was told that they had run out of onions so the bhindi madala could not be made with onions. I agreed to go ahead with the order anyway. Which indian restaurant runs out of onions though? The bhindi was extremely stringy and we had to spit out every mouthful and discard the sabzi. They had used very matured okra intentionally or unintentionally. Please check every okra by snapping off the ends before cutting. While cutting, if you hear crunching sounds, the okra has over matured. These are basic know how's while cooking okra that a good cook should be aware of. The vegetable korma was okay, but had broccoli in it, a strange vegetable to add into kormas. And the naan was rubbery and chewy. Overall a waste of $65.

Jamie W and I were having such a gay old time at the White Horse that we didn't know where the time went. We just knew we were peckish and thinking something within walking distance would be desirable given how sloshy we were feeling. We had not had Indian food in ages, so this looked to be the convenient place to detox and enjoy some curry over rice at the same time. From what we could tell, it's a nicely decorated family-run place with decorative silk fabrics and umbrellas covering the ceiling (Photo 4). The menu was quite robust with pretty much all the dishes we expected in an Indian restaurant. We gravitated toward our favorites, the $18 Lamb Curry (Photo 9) and the $15 Bindi Masala (Photo 7). Neither dish disappointed as the thick gravy was rampant in both. The okra brought welcome texture to the tomato-based masala, while the boneless lamb pieces brought a hearty meatiness to the curry. The $2 plate of Basmati Rice nicely absorbed the sauces (Photo 10), but the real standout was the $5 Garlic Naan with a liberal coating of minced garlic (Photo 8). We've also got to try their Tandoori Chicken and Veggie Korma next time. We just love creamy curry. Was craving Indian food and Indian Rasoi came to the rescue! Food was excellent, but service was a bit on the slow side, even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. Ordered two veg samosas, chicken tikka masala, channa saag, garlic naan, rice, and mango pickle because we were feeling adventurous lol. The chicken tikka masala was DELICIOUS -- delightfully creamy, savory, and fragrant. The channa saag was good, but not that memorable. The mango pickle isn't for the faint of heart; it is extremely pungent and the texture can be off-putting (the raw mango is not chewy; it is actually quite hard). Would definitely recommend ordering rice and naan for two entries; one will likely not cut it. Overall, a solid Indian joint on Telegraph -- great for a cozy date night or dinner with friends!

***3.5 Stars*** Indian Rasoi has quickly become my go-to Indian food spot for workday lunches. I'm pretty boring when it comes to quickish Indian food and usually stick the standard chicken tikka masala. It's honestly the only thing that I've had here, but it tastes better and better each time that I come back to get it. This is a no frills down home Indian restaurant. The décor is actually really fun though! I love the colorful umbrellas on the ceiling and personalized artwork. This is not a huge place. There's maybe about 7 or 8 tables in total, but it had a very inviting atmosphere and it doesn't feel cramped. Although the staff is nice, service is always hit and miss. I feel like the majority of the time, it's always slow even when I'm the only person there. There seems to always be two gentlemen running the show. I think that one of them cooks the food fresh and the other handles the to-go and dine in clients. Maybe a bit short staffed?! I appreciate that they are cooking everything fresh. For that reason, I can understand the long waits for service and food sometimes. But once the food hits my table, my senses start to activate. The smells emanating from this place are so wonderful. The tikka masala is always so creamy and well seasoned. The only thing that I don't like is that their spicy isn't very spicy at all. I'm sure they've toned it down for the common crowds, but even I was taken aback by how mild their spicy is. Either way, the flavors are what's most important. They know how to do flavor right. I also love their fluffy and buttery naan. It's the perfect lunch for when I'm craving Indian food in the neighborhood. They have such reasonably priced lunch specials! You can get a tasty entrée with rice, naan, and a small salad for under $20. In this day and age, this is definitely considered a good deal. I still need to make my way around their menu and break away from the typical chicken tikka masala. I will eventually. But until then, I'll keep enjoying my yummy tikka masala lunches here.

The food was good here. But I have had better. The naan was particularly good because it had a crisp to it. We got there somewhat late but the service was still good. And the place had a lively decor with colorful umbrellas on the ceiling.

All the meat chunks in the curries were was too big, causing them to be tough and flavorless. Rice and Biryani were severely mushy. Garlic Naan was too crispy and not fluffy, lots of garlic but needs some butter.

Been craving Indian for a while and figured this spot near Berkeley would be fun to try. It was fairly empty during lunch on Friday. While the server seemed friendly enough, he was multitasking with kitchen prep so we had to wait a bit to be seated, give our order, and even pay the bill. They do have lunch specials where you get rice, naan, chicken/veggie/lamb dish (12 oz), and veggies. It's a good deal considering that the dish by itself is 16 oz. We ended up with orders of chicken tikka masala, veggie korma, and lamb in the coconut curry. While we asked for mild, it was a bit spicer than we expected and that kind of made it hard to enjoy the meal. They did offer us some yogurt to help us out. The veggie korma also didn't quite have the same sweet, creamy flavor from other places. The chicken in the tikka masala was decent though as it wasn't too dry like most places that use chicken breast.

I really wanted to like this restaurant because of all the stellar reviews that have come before me. But I honestly don't think this place deserves close to 5 stars. It may have been some of the most subpar Indian food I've ever had. The restaurant's decor is warm and inviting, and the service is okay. For appetizers, we ordered the Bhel Puri, which was my favorite thing of the night, but still not amazing. We also got the vegetable samosas, which were also just okay. I ordered the Chicken Daal for my main course, just to try something new, but I wish I stuck with the Chicken Tikka Kabob. We saw that dish come out on a sizzling platter, so maybe that would've been better? The chicken was extremely dry and flavorless and the lentils weren't cooked all the way through. I tried my friend's Chicken Tikka Masala dish and it was also extremely dry, though the flavor was alright. Definitely would opt for another restaurant in Berkeley if you are craving Indian food.

Solid Indian place in Oakland! Service was very accommodating and lots of variety of the menu. As appetizers, we tried the Tandoori Chicken ($16) and Bhel Puri ($9). I really enjoyed the Bhel Puri with all the textures and tamarind sauce. For an entree, we did family style and had the Chicken Coconut Curry ($17), Shahi Paneer ($16), Lamb Korma ($18), and another chicken one. My favorites were the Shahi Paneer and Chicken Coconut Curry because they were super flavorful. There was definitely a good amount of spice to all of them because we were just continuously ordering more rice to survive the heat. The garlic naan was also good, but it was pretty thin and I prefer the fluffier ones. Overall, I'd come here again since there are so many options but it was a bit on the pricier side for me.

The owner greeted me with a bright and warm smile . Service is amazing. The beautiful dining room and ambiance transports you to Mumbai. Food was excellent. I will be returning. I stumbled across this place will walking to the auto repair shop. It's a lovely hidden jewel.

What a treat to find! I ordered off what looked, at first. To be a limited lunch menu (only three options?) only to discover that I could select any of the dishes from the veggie, chicken, or lamb categories to be made into a lunch bowl. Friendly staff were very attentive and gave me a big jog of water with my meal, although the food was nicely - not overly - spicy. Can't wait to go back to try dinner sometime.

I've been looking through the windows for more than a month now, in anticipation of the restaurant that would occupy the old Cafe Colucci place. Indian Rasoi is finally open, and I'm glad to say that the service, ambiance, and food were all something to celebrate! I had lunch at Indian Rasoi today, and they had a lovely lunch special with salad, rice, and naan. You could pick between one of their many veggie, chicken, or lamb dishes. My lunch partner and I ordered samosas and mango lassis on the side to start. The samosas were delicious, with a nicely-spiced potato flavor, soft inside, and the exterior was good-not oily. It was served with generous sides of green and tamarind chutney. The lassis were on the thinner side and not too sweet. The lunch special itself mainly came on one large plate/bowl with the rice and salad, with the naan on the side. The salad was a very small serving of cold spiced carrots and cucumber-delicious and refreshing. For entrees, I ordered aloo gobi and my partner ordered the shahi paneer. We ordered our spice level "American Spicy." The paneer and creamy sauce were to die for! Such a well-seasoned sauce with a depth of flavor, and the paneer was solid. My partner ate the whole entree, sopping up the sauce with his naan. He also said the naan was very good-fluffy and crunchy. I took home half of my aloo gobi entree, simply because it was a lot of food for me, and I love leftovers. The aloo gobi was really excellent! The cauliflower and potatoes were spiced all the way through and the texture was perfect for me. It's so difficult to find a good aloo gobi around these parts, so when I do, I'm thrilled! "American spicy" was a perfect spice level, though we might go back and try "Indian spicy." The space itself is beautifully designed, with rich and colorful sari fabric and Indian parasols draped along the ceiling, with more contemporary type Indian art and photography on the walls. It's a gorgeous space-very Instagrammable ;) Finally, the service was very friendly! You could tell that they were excited to be open and to have us as customers. Very good vibes! I live within walking distance, and I am so happy Indian Rasoi is in the neighborhood. It will definitely be a staple restaurant for me and my family. I very highly recommend this restaurant, and I hope the good word gets out! *Update: I had dinner at the restaurant a couple of days later (delicious!), and I told them my son was home sick and was asking for soup. They made a delicious dal soup with chicken for him!

We had super delicious lunch specials, call mother, lamb, korma, and the chicken paneer. We got a friend takeout to go, which was the chicken tikka lunch special. You can choose from a variety of different dishes for the lunch specials, as long as they are, lame, chicken, or vegetable entrees. My husband ordered naan with lamb, which was tasty. We got an order of papadum that was crispy and fresh. And we both got straming hot, unsweetened chai so we could add our own sweetener. Service: friendly and fast/efficient Flavors: fresh, homemade-tasting, and attuned to our spice levels Price: lunch specials very reasoable This is so much better and fresher than a lunch buffet. Highly recommend!

I have been here 5 times since they opened. While the place is small and unassuming - the food is delicious. Some standouts are the mushroom makhani, mint chicken kabob, sag paneer and pani puri. Our family is Indian and we really love this place.

This was our second time for lunch. The food is very tasty. Surprised that they were not that busy. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. There was a bit of a language barrier, but we worked through it.

I had read all the reviews of this place and was excited to try it.What a shocker I have travelled widely and had the pleasure of eating some of the the best Indian food in the world-including the famous Balti Mile in B'ham UK(where Tom Cruise ate).This Vindaloo was not a a Vindaloo-in fact it wasn't even a real curry.It was like a terrible chicken stew loaded with garlic.The worst curry I've eaten in 50 years of eating curry.As far as I'm concerned the place should be closed for serving such slop.

I was here a couple of weeks ago for the lunch bowl. I ordered the lamb karma, it was quite good. The meal was quite filling, plenty of rice and lamb with a crisp salad on the side. The lunch dish also comes with naan. I'll have to come back and try the chicken tikka lunch bowl.

I came here on sunday around 430pm because i was craving for Indian food. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I ordered chicken tikka masala and my fiance got a coconut chicken curry. We also ordered garlic naan. Wow it did not disappoint me at all. The food is super delicious and big portion as well. Garlic naan is bomb we had to order another one. Overall i'm happy i chose a right decision to come here. Service is great and i love the vibe here. We also ordered hot chai and it's bomb. We will definitely come back to try the other dishes on the menu! Highly recommended!!

We've been twice now for dinner and lunch. It has the same feel as the space always had under it's prior iteration (beautiful decor surrounding small tight tables with cloth napkins and an occasional need to get up and find the wait staff). Though the menu is similar to every other Indian restaurant​in the area, the food here is a bit unique. I like the change. Warning: even "medium spicy" is pretty hot!

We made our first visit to Rasoi this evening and found the food to be absolutely first class. My girlfriend much enjoyed the Lamb Tikka Marsala with a rich flavor and a dish full of character; my choice was the Chicken Saag with spinach and a long time favorite of mine......maybe a little dry on this occasion and still most enjoyable. We both agree that their dishes lean to the spicy side and more spicy than was described to us.... Something to be aware of when ordering! Service is very polite and friendly if a little slow. The ambiance is notably warm and we loved the beautiful ceiling, as others have already mentioned. Altogether most enjoyable and we plan to return

Great new Indian place gave me a free sample of their vegan mango lassi. They have regular too and both are delicious. Very nice owner & I hope he is able to open a full there in the long run for some interesting cocktails too. We ordered a bunch of take away and it is all delicious. The samosas and lassi are a whole meal for me right now so I will know more about the other dishes when I get to the leftovers. I did try them quickly & everything was great so I highly recommend you go in and welcome our new restaurant! And don't worry, Café Colucci just moved to San Pablo.

I am ridiculously excited that there's good Indian food in walking distance of my house. I've had the aloo gobi, mint chicken kebab and garlic naan for dinner and they were all good. Mild does include some chili pepper so make sure to order without hot peppers at all if you're sensitive. Only minus for me was the garlic naan in my to-go dinner order was a bit burned on the underside, but still good to eat and they didn't skimp on the garlic. I went for lunch today and the naan I got with the lunch bowl special was perfectly cooked and incredibly fresh and tender. The lunch bowl itself, the lamb saag, was also tasty with good sized chunks of lamb that could be cut with a spoon. Comes with rice and a spoonful of cucumber and carrot salad and the naan. I also tried the Thums Up cola for fun, not as sweet as Pepsi or Coke but a nice soda to cut the richness of the curry. They gave me my own carafe of chilled water which I appreciated, and they asked if I wanted ice or a straw when they checked in after my food came. The decor is pretty too, bright colors and Indian prints, and they have a good setup for picking up to go orders so you're not standing right next to diners while you wait. Music wasn't too loud in the dining area, it was a mix of Indian instrumental music and I think NPR while I was theee for lunch Apparently the owner has been in the restaurant business in the Bay Area for something like 25 years so I'm hoping they can make this place a success. I'd love to see it as busy as the Ethiopian spot it replaced!

I love this place! It's so great to have a local Indian restaurant with amazing food and great prices! The decor here is really cute, colorful and vibrant. I've only ordered takeout but the service and friendliness was on point! My order (both times.... I really need to branch out and try a variety of dishes...I feel so basic. lol) Anyway so it's: veggie samosas - crispy and delicious! Mint and tamarind chutneys are both on point tikka masala (medium heat level) - super delicious. I could just drink this sauce. Spice level is perfect! Nice heat and doesn't take away from the flavor Garlic naan was perfect for dipping in the tikka masala sauce And rice of course The owner is so nice and you can tell he really cares about the service and customers and if you haven't come here yet please try it. You won't regret it :)

We came here for lunch and sat outside. The fare is pretty typical but executed well. The veggie pakora, vindaloo, and tikka masala were all really good. They also have proper chai. I liked the format of the lunch bowl, which was really filling. The service was also good and friendly. Came back a week later and had another good experience. Ingredients are good quality and fresh. Definitely recommend.

It was sad when Cafe Colucci left, but I am thrilled that Indian Rasoi took over the space. The food overall is great and the co-owners are super friendly. There are fun tapestries and art on the walls and ceiling and they have been playing Kirtan (call and response) sounding music each time I have gone (at least 5 times so far) which I love. The sauce for the chicken tikka masala is some of the best, if not the best, I have had...and I have eaten a lot of Indian food! Overall this place is cute, friendly, and my new go-to place for Indian food!

Definitely some of the best Indian food that my wife and I have enjoyed in the East Bay. They put a lot of thought into using spices and quality ingredients to add flavor (as opposed to simply drowning a dish in ghee, like many restaurants). As a result, the curries taste rich but don't feel too heavy. I do think some items are much better than others. When we went here the first time, we loved the eggplant dish but weren't huge fans of the goat curry. On our second visit, we ordered the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori lamb - both were phenomenal. Looking forward to coming back.

Really good food at a reasonable price for a casual dinner. Waiter was friendly and service was prompt. The chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were standouts.

The food was really delicious and so fresh! There was a little mix up in getting our online order through Yelp/Grubhub but they were really quick to fix the issue and got us our food really quickly! We didn't eat there but I loved the decor with the colorful cloths everywhere! We will definitely be coming back!

Tried this restaurant out on its opening day. It's right around the corner from where we live, where the Ethiopian restaurant Cafe Colucci was for decades. Service was extremely friendly and atmosphere is low key. Food is superior! Among the best Indian restaurants we've been to. All the sauces were delicious. We especially loved the Saag Paneer and the fish curry. It's difficult to keep fish tender, and this was very tender and delicate. The chunks of chicken breast in a chicken dish were a little too big and tough, but that might have been a one off. We'll be going there often!

DELICIOUS saag paneer! While I've only eaten saag paneer in the US and UK, I have eaten it at many restaurants over many years, and this was the BEST I've ever had. Really nice folks running the restaurant who were happy to talk about spice levels for each dish. I was the weak link in our spicy group, so the waiter immediately brought some raita to the table, which made it all work for me!

I researched this restaurant and found almost all very good reviews except for 2 and one was especially harsh by someone who had been around the world and I, I, I..I can't find my baby. I have not been to India but I did spend a year in Singapore where at that time 25% of the population was Indian. I ate a lot of Indian foods there and came to love the Indian street foods. So, I'm not a complete novice when it comes to Indian flavors. I had dinner tonight (1/11/2025) at Indian Rasoi and it was marvelous. The Baingan Bharta was beautiful and smoky, which was a pleasant surprise. I also had the garlic naan. The naan was lighter than what I am used to, but I found that very much to my liking. I had other items from the menu and they were quite good. The service was good and the environment was charming. A very nice space to share with a date. Ignore the extreme reviews, I say, for this place and find out for yourself. BTW, on the way into the restaurant I was stopped by a person walking by who wanted to tell me how good the food here is. The indicators all point one direction, my friends. FYI, I gave 4 stars only because I reserve that last star for exceptionally awesome experiences. Isn't that how it should be??

We found this place on Google Maps (we were craving Indian food). Solid place! Can only speak for vegetarian options. Matar paneer was really good; we loved how flavorful it was. The blend of spices with the tomato-onion curry worked really well. Malai kofta was also good. The dumplings for the malai kofta were not gummy. They were soft/melts-in-your-mouth texture (we've had issues with other Indian restaurants where malai kofta dumplings were super gummy). We got bhel puri as an appetizer - would highly recommend this dish. If you're looking for spicy Indian food, this place leans on the "milder" side. Service was great, the restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. We loved the decor. Would come back again!

Went for a lunch date with my husband. We got chicken tikka masala rice bowls and paneer pakoda as an appetizer - all of it was delicious. Lunch portions are large and very affordable for Indian food. Staff is very welcoming and we loved the decor on the ceiling.

My wife and I had driven past Indian Rasoi in the past, and vowed to each other to dine there. Monday night, I decided on a whim to take my wife there after picking her up from work. We went in just before the dinner rush, so we had our choice of seating. The hostess was warm and welcoming. The decor was bright, with unique accents like mini-parasols hanging upside down and open on the ceiling, and antique lanterns as light fixtures. We ordered the lamb tikka masala, chicken curry, saag and naan bread. The food is some of the best Indian fare we've had in the Bay Area. It is all very affordable as well. We will be return customers, we love Indian Rasoi!

This new Indian restaurant was very, very nice. I took two young vegans here and they truly enjoyed themselves. The place is very nicely decorated. The food was good and I do believe they don't use MSG, which is a big relief for me. My only complaint is that they are a bit stingy with the naan, my favorite part!. The servers were very pleasant. No beer or wine license here yet.

It almost feels like I went to a different restaurant from the others who have reviewed this place. I was excited to try a new place with the great reviews but man, it was the worst Indian food I have ever had! The food look good and generous portions but really lacked flavor. So very bland! It was really hard to tell that we were eating Indian food as it lacked all the spices. I hope they do better going forward.

We were excited to try this new neighborhood spot since we LOVE Indian food and don't have a good place within walking distance. We ordered take-out, and picked it up to bring home. The service was quick and friendly. The garlic naan was very garlicky and yummy. While the food appeared to be well-spiced and full of veggies, the flavor was surprisingly bland. We were thinking of giving it a second chance, but then my husband found a long (veeery long) hair in the food. Now I'm not so sure we'll be back.

I ordered takeout from here and I got the lamb vindaloo, dal mahkni and garlic naan. The curries were pretty bland and not medium spicy like what I ordered. The dal was watered down and not as good as other restaurants I have been to. And the naan was warm but not was soft and fluffy as other naans I have had. I won't be ordering from here again and if you're an Indian food lover like myself, you wouldnt either.

Service is really good very nice guy! I ordered the chicken biriyani, I asked for spicy but it was a bit too overwhelming and I can take spicy, the rice wasn't as separated as I prefer. The ingredients were all fresh but I didn't love the way it was spiced with the flavors. I don't know if I'll return

My wife & I went to Indian Rasoi this afternoon for lunch. We ordered Bhel Puri, Chhole Bature, plain lassi & hot chai. Everything was excellent. I hope they will the maintain the food quality, use good oil for frying & other things, maintain cleanliness in the entire restaurant including the rest room. If they maintain all the above, this will be a fantastic restaurant for years to come & it will be a successful business in Oakland/Berkeley Area. Nivedita did a good job of serving us. Vikram & Jayaseelan (Co-Owners) have good attitude to run the restaurant business. Good restaurants are hard to come by. This will be an exception. We wish them continued success:-)

Great tasting food, cheap prices, would recommend the Baingan Bharta, and the Chicken Tikka Masala.

Love it. Best Indian restaurant I've ever tried in the East Bay. The heat is a little mild, but that's probably just as well.

The food of this place is really good, it deserves 5 stars. Indian food is my favorite, and I was really impressed by the flavor of all the things we tried.

So glad to have this restaurant in the neighborhood! Highly recommend the veggie korma with coconut cream (best vegan korma I've ever had) - I choose mild spice level and grab the garlic naan to go with it. The veggie samosas are delicious, perfect crunch on the outside and steamy potatoes on the inside.

This is my new favorite Indian restaurant in the East Bay! I've been a few times now and everything I've had has been flavorful, well cooked, and well balanced. My favorites so far are the chana saag, coconut chicken curry, and lamb biryani. The staff is also very kind and helpful. Would highly recommend!
