New Restaurant Openings in the San Francisco Bay Area - Eater SF
"India’s Chaat House is a new snack-centric Indian restaurant that opened just off of Valencia at the end of November. It’s from the Lotus Family of Restaurants, which also owns several restaurants and a couple of groceries in Marin. India’s Chaat House restaurant is on one side, and Indian Spices and Groceries is just next door, so you can sit down for tandoori chicken and pani puri first, then stock up on spices and snacks." - Becky Duffett
Classic chaat favorites with great service. The restaurant opened recently. Service was smooth, timely and the people were super friendly. The gentleman behind the counter even offered my children a free mango lassi; this gesture meant a lot. We tried the veg momos (amongst a plethora of other dishes), will definitely be back to work our way through the entire menu.

I’m gonna be very honest about my experience here. I haven’t had much good Indian food in the city, but let
Me tell you. Every dish here definitely hit the spot. The service was amazing and the food came out at the most perfect time. They let my service dog come too. Their chai is amazing. If you are in the city, craving Indian food this is a must try.

Excellent food for a fair price. Great service. Clean and welcoming restaurant. Beautiful presentation of food. Everything we ordered was top notch. The mango lassi was amazingly good. Will definitely be returning to try more dishes.

Best Indian food I've had in SF! Glad we didn't hesitate going here because of the low review count (they opened a couple months ago).
We had the samosa chole, aloo tikki, bhindi masala, garlic naan, and salted lassi. Everything we had was excellent! The person behind the counter was also great and super friendly. Highly recommended!

I’ve been a regular customer of the grocery store next door and waited patiently to have this Chaat restaurant to open. Especially love having good chaat down the street from my house. My favorite dish is the lamb sheesh kebab and I often get the Wai Wai noodles on cold days. I’m excited to share this little gem of a restaurant with friends and family. What makes this place even more special is the hospitality of the owner and staff and the fact that it is spotlessly clean.

SF has mostly mediocre Indian food, but this place is the exception. Really really great, authentic food. Some standouts include Chole Batura, Sev Puri, Bhindi Masala, and Paneer Tikka - all really well made.
