Bay Area Icon MC Hammer Will Shill Cheetos During the Super Bowl | Eater SF

"I learned that Michael Mina’s long-anticipated Indie Superette will occupy 700 of an 11,700-square-foot space at Fillmore and Filbert Streets, sharing the block with a 3,650-square-foot Shake Shack and a 6,583-square-foot Rumble Fitness; the building owner says a small bodega like Indie would only be feasible at below-market rents and would effectively be subsidized by rents paid by Shake Shack and Rumble, and given Mina’s empire of some 40 or so restaurants worldwide, he’s hardly a struggling small business that needs help to survive." - Eve Batey

Indifresh is a wonderful and comfortable place for Indians, especially for anyone who misses the authentic grocery shopping experience back home. The moment you walk in, you notice how well-organized and familiar everything feels. I was genuinely impressed to find almost every grocery item that I typically rely on in India, from fresh produce to spices, snacks, and ready-to-cook essentials. It truly makes weekly shopping much easier and more nostalgic.During my recent visit, I also explored their cooked food section. I tried the Vegetable Biryani, Corn Samosa, and Baby Corn appetizer. While these items were decent and tasted fine, I would describe them as average compared to the flavorful dishes I’m used to. However, two items really surprised me in a good way. The Eggplant Fry was outstanding, perfectly seasoned, and full of authentic taste. It reminded me of home-style cooking. The Methi Chaman was another dish that stood out creamy, flavorful, and very well balanced.Overall, Indifresh is an excellent spot for groceries and offers a comfortable environment for Indian families. While not every food item impressed me, the standout dishes definitely make the visit worthwhile. I will continue shopping here for both groceries and occasional meals.🥰🥰

A good place for finding most of the basic Indian spices and such. Rates are reasonable, the shop is clean and people are helpful. Usually it’s easy to find parking but during festivals it’s a little hard to find a parking spot quickly. The Halal Meat shop is very clean and has so far maintained the quality of meat and poultry. The snacks and food counter has a lot of variety although it’s primarily focused on Southern Indian type of food and taste. The pastries are very good but the sweets definitely need to improve in quality, like and variety.

This establishment is a fantastic one-stop shop for diverse culinary needs. Their inventory is impressively comprehensive, ranging from fresh bakery items and a vast selection of spices to frozen foods and organic options. The addition of a food court serving authentic South Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes makes it a perfect destination for both grocery shopping and a delicious meal. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality, variety, and great flavors under one roof! Good job👍

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Indi Fresh. I visited the restaurant section this evening for a few garlic naan and other entrees but the staff refused to sell naan to me unless I also purchased a curry. When I explained that I only needed the naan, the person at the counter denied my request again. I even tried asking other staff members behind the counter, but they all gave me the same answer: 'no curry, no naan.' This is completely absurd. If an item is listed on your menu, you should be able to sell it. I have never experienced such a bizarre and frustrating rule at any other Indian restaurant or grocery store. I won’t be coming back.

I was looking for red lentils and found plenty at indifresh supermarket. I also noticed fresh produce at reasonable prices. Large beefsteak tomatoes were 99 cents/lb. They have a good selection of Indian and American vegetables. There was a huge selection of Indian spices and frozen and ready to heat foods. Great store!

We ordered food for my mom’s 75th birthday and honestly the food was the star. We should have trusted their recommendation for not ordering more than what they recommend as we had so much leftover. I drove from Marietta to this location, and they did not disappoint anyone at the part.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding the masala tea in your catering section. The masala mix used in the tea seems unusual and the taste is quite different from the actual masal tea. It also feels like an alternative to regular milk may be used, which further affects the flavor. Unfortunately, this combination doesn’t make the tea enjoyable. I hope the team can review the ingredients and prepare to improve the taste.

We have been frequent customers of this restaurant and have generally enjoyed the food in the past. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have been disappointing. Earlier this month, we ordered the boneless goat biryani and found it to have very little meat and a bland flavor. We ended up discarding almost half of it. Recently again we tried the butter chicken, which is usually one of their signature dishes, but it was also underwhelming — the meat was hard and chewy. We’ve always appreciated the convenience of this restaurant’s location and used to enjoy their food, but the recent decline in quality is making us consider other options.

Yelp
IndiFresh Supermarket is an Indian grocery store which also has an Indian Restaurant. It's a one-stop for fresh groceries, produce, halal meat and a nice food court inside which caters bakery, pasteries, cakes, sweets, pickles, tiffins, biryanis and many more. They do have some sitting area. They have fresh Chappatties too. The place is maintained clean and neat. Lot of free parking in and around the store. Most of them are reasonablely priced. I would definetely recommond this palce to anyone to try if you are in the area.

Yelp
Was visiting cummings and wanted to pick few things . Stopped by Indifresh - about 6 pm in the evening ! Wooooo.. parking was almost unavailable.. there was crazy rush .. I thought this place must be famous or good . Went in and saw that most of them were in queue for the food and found less people buying groceries . I didn't get any grocery here but my friends living here said it's average .. stood in line and got some snacks .... Hmmmmmm.. for the hype , it tasted average .. overall an average experience ..

Yelp
This is best place for fresh groceries and a nice food court inside which caters bakery, pastries, cakes, sweets, pickles, tiffins, biryanis and many more. I really like chicken 65- hakka noddle. Must visit for Indian groceries and street food.
