We've been going to the festival for over 20 years. It started in downtown Indio, moved to the park location, back to downtown, and finally back to the park. They struggled with the footprint (layout) of the games, stages, kiddy rides, vendors, and such. But this time, I believe they hit a home run. It was very well spaced and organized. The field is level, and we didn't trip in any holes. Which means mobility scooters can navigate on it. They added camel rides, and they had a horse show. A few suggestions for the organizers. Bring back the multiple stages of music and shows. Reinstall the previous hand washing stations outside the restrooms. The sanitizer makes your hands sticky, and it's impossible to enjoy the food like that. Almost forgot to mention that there was a big-time celebrity there. Overall, we give it 2 ThumsUp 👍🏻👍🏻 (I know the "b" is missing)

Tamale festival is always great! This year, it's in a different area, Miles Park, and it's smaller. Tamales were good, but drinks stopped at 6 pm.

Enjoy coming to this location always welcoming friendly people. Easy to find parking if you come early. You have 13 tamale vendors to choose from and tamale prices range from $5 to $6 each.

We love the tamale festival!! We come out every year and are never disappointed! Lots of unique vendors, live entertainment and of course every type of tamale you can think of!! Entrance and parking are free if you can find it!!!

Fun and interesting atmosphere, but hot with very little shade options. Tamales are super expensive (as much as $6 each). Don't need to go again.

The shop The Original Tamal was bad! So disappointing. I bought 1/2 dozen frozen to take back to nebraska with me. I bought them because they were rated high. Stood in line half hour. Tamales were mostly cornmeal with a thin line of dry meat. Meat (chicken and pork) flavor was good, just needed more sauce. Would not recommend or buy these again.

The tamales were good but lines were long, about 45minutes for ones winning best tamales. Also, there was not enough places to sit, they need to put more tables and chairs. As we are seniors, standing and trying to eat was not good. Also the shuttle was a blessing but needs to be closer to entrance for people with children and seniors, it was about half mile to entrance. Or maybe put in another entrance at opposite end.
