We thought we'd try dinner here tonight. Sadly we wished we hadn't. We arrived around 8.15pm and noticed they closed at 9pm, & asked if we could still dine in, which was welcomed. The staff were friendly and we were supplied with water to the table, without asking, along with the menus, which was appreciated.
When our meals weren't delivered around 8.50pm, we went and checked with the staff member to ask them if they'd prefer us to make it takeaway, as we knew they closed soon. They concurred that this was preferable. We then received our beer and mango lassi, as we further waited.
The mango lasso was absolutely spot on and delicious, unfortunately this can't be said about the food we ordered:
A. Butter Chicken - which, whilst the spice flavour was good and the chicken was super tender, it was super super sickly sweet. So sweet, I could only eat the chicken chunks.
B. Nachos - whilst there was a generous serving of beef, it too was also weirdly sweet. There wasn't a lot of topping and further, for nachos, not enough tortilla chips.
C. Beef Fajitas - I'm sad I didn't think to take a photo of this, they say a picture says a thousand words, and I think it would've been enough explanation! Fajitas to most people includes avibrant dish of capsicum, onion, meat, along with appropriate accompaniments including tortilla to wrap it up in.
The 'fajita' supplied was a slab (again generous), of the sweet beef with cheese melted on top and little bit of onion. The accompanied tortilla was literally, one tortilla cut up in indiscriminate pieces.
What was worse was that when we tried to break the meat & cheese apart to eat it, it was congealed together.
Perhaps we've missed the point here of this restaurant being a blend of Indian and Mexican, however all 3 meals were average and missed the mark at all levels.
I like to leave positive reviews but I simply can't for the food here. Again the staff were lovely and the mango lassi was one of the best I've had, but I'm sorry to say, that's all I'd go back for...
