Ine - Review - Highland Park - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Ine is a Japanese fusion spot in Highland Park that looks designed for date nights, with candlelit tables, an intimate dining room full of two-tops, and shareable small plates like uni-topped sweet potatoes, miso ratatouille, and unagi tartlets. During the day, they operate as a casual cafe serving bentos, salmon bagels, and matcha drinks." - Cathy Park

I recently visited Ine, and I was really impressed with the overall experience. The restaurant offers a creative fusion style that blends Japanese flavors with modern touches, and each dish was fresh, well seasoned, and beautifully presented. I especially liked how the menu has a good mix of classic items and unique twists. The atmosphere at Ine is warm and stylish, making it a comfortable place for both casual dinners and special nights out. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to offer good recommendations. Overall, Ine delivers great food, a nice vibe, and excellent service. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality fusion Japanese cuisine.

Just checked out this new Japanese sushi bistro and it’s honestly such a good spot. The vibe is super modern with a moody bar feel—perfect place to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy some good food. The seafood handrolls were super fresh, and the tempura was perfectly crispy without being greasy. You can really taste the quality in everything they serve. The staff was also really friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to. If you’re into sushi or just want a cool spot to hang out, this one’s worth checking out. 🥢✨

INE was such a beautiful surprise. The interior feels so cozy and thoughtfully designed — warm lighting, minimal details, and a very calm atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special :) Every dish was incredibly fresh and well-balanced. You can really taste the quality and intention behind each plate. I’ve struggled to find Japanese-inspired spots in LA that I truly love, but this one immediately became a favorite. It’s the perfect place for a relaxed dinner, date night, or catching up with friends over good food and natural wine. I’m definitely coming back. INE is such a gem in Highland Park 🤍

New favorite Japanese fusion spot! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Must try the sweet potato uni and crispy rice! Chef Terry’s attention to detail definitely doesn’t go unnoticed from the quality of ingredients, the presentation of each dish, interior of the store, friendly staff, and so much more. Highly recommend :)

The staff were super friendly, and the food was amazing. Hard to believe the place just opened because everything tasted so good. The crispy rice roll and the uni sweet potato purée were insanely good. I’ll definitely be back!!

I visited Ine on their very first day of opening, and I was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked in. Despite it being their grand opening, everything felt smooth, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. The restaurant offers a modern fusion take on Japanese flavors, and each dish tasted incredibly fresh, balanced, and beautifully plated. You could really tell they put a lot of care into every detail. The atmosphere at Ine is warm, stylish, and inviting—perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. Even on day one, the staff were attentive, friendly, and excited to share recommendations. Their service felt natural, not rushed, and made the whole experience even better! I can already tell this is going to become a popular spot. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality, creative Japanese fusion cuisine. Must Must give it a try! :)

Yelp
Japanese with a twist and an emphasis on the details. You're welcomed by a vaporwave background and video projection that just instantly relaxes you. Aesop in the bathroom? Pure. Class. This restaurant offers elevated takes on sushiya and izakaya favorites. Each dish is intentionally presented and has delicate, rich flavors. The Ine ramen was a big hit with deep notes of dashi and sea bream. The sashimi is served carpaccio style, with small capers to break up the fish flavor. Great technique. The tempura was a showstopper. None of the nori was soggy - great crisp and smoky flavors. The server went out of her way to make me a hot matcha tea. We felt welcomed and well looked after and we will definitely be back with our friends and family.

Yelp
I got so excited when I heard they have dessert now!Just wowww! The first bite left my jaw on the floor! The sweetness and citrus are perfectly balanced. Not only is it so adorable, but one of the tastiest desserts I've tried! You can genuinely taste the love it's made with! INE never disappoints!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem on their opening day. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We tried the crispy rice (really a tiny handroll, not the usual cripy rice you expect) and the bento boxes which were so flavorful and the components were unexpected. Service was attentive and warm. So many great options on the menu it was hard to decide. Excited to come back for dinner and add this to the regular rotation.

Yelp
Celebrated a friend's birthday here and had a lovely time. The staff were kind/attentive and provided great recommendations. Very nice space and we loved the noodles, sashimi, and ravioli. Great new spot and looking forward to coming back in the future!

Yelp
Ine was soooooo good! All of the food was delicious but especially the hand rolls and raw dishes. The tempura was some of the best wed ever had! My one complaint is that the restaurant has a very strong, soapy smell. I'm not sure if this is a cleaning supply or some kind of air freshener smell. I also would have loved if the food was coursed a little better. It felt like everything came out super quickly which a lot of the dishes coming out at once. In my opinion it was distracting and took away from the smell and tase of the food, which was so amazing. Service was superior as well!
