The carne asada and pupusas were delicious! Some of the best I've had in a while. Service was good, too, interacted just the right amount. Will def go back. Gave low rating for atmosphere because it looks more like a cantina, the space was tight, and the music was a bit sad for Saturday night dinner.

What a great and pleasant surprise. The papusas and tortillas are made fresh and come out stove top heated. My son-in-law loved the papusa and like me, devoured the beef soup. Being Italian, excuse me, central Italian, I adore home style cooking made with care and attention. Our waitress came by three times to make sure we were happy. I enjoyed a nice Mexican beer and the restroom was impeccably clean. Most Americans don't understand good food unless they've traveled and not on the beaten path. They judge food by its cost and superficial aesthetics and not by the intrinsic principles behind fine cooking; keeping things clean, simple, fresh and made with pride. The aesthetics then follow. Stop by this place and your culinary world experience will continue growing. BRAVO INES!!!

Gets busy during lunch, fresh food and very nice staff

The pupusas are a little higher in price than other places around here but their pupusas are also bigger than other places around the DMV so it works out. Service is not so great if I would to base my rating just on that than they would only get 2 stars and that's being nice, the ladies working there could use some general knowledge on how to treat the customers with a little more kindness and professionalism

Food is alright but they charge you differently than what’s on the menu and service is extremely slow. When the bill came, there was an item that was more than what showed on their new updated menu. The waitress first said it was taxes included and then when I pointed out how taxes were charged twice she then changed her explanation and said it was because of the new prices even though it was a new menu. Would appreciate if they let customers know what they’re ordering is more than what shows on their menu. Food is not good enough to deal with the service. I would pass.

Truly a local place( my Spanish not so much). The tacos were authentic, which was the tastes I was looking for. It's a small location, with about 3- 5 tables, might have been more seating was tight. I got my food to go. It was delicious 😋

Wow Great food— do not replace cooks— you got it right!! Girl serving was professional and straight to the point with smile… great service… I recommend this place for a nice healthy breakfast..

Tasty chips and salsa, order was taken quickly and food came out within 15 minutes. It was fairly busy inside. Ordered the Tacos de Lengua and Pupusa Revueleta and both were incredible. This is my first time trying cow tongue and would definitely try it again. If you're over in Fairfax, definitely give this place a shot. They also serve beer!

Places that say they are authentic, usually are not in my experience. While I don't know if Ines boast of being authentic, but they are. This place is amazing, and it's minutes from my workplace. The wait is long but worth it. I like that they don't pre-prepare dishes, they make your food fresh. They have ample seating although the place is a storefront. When I go there for lunch they always have a lot of patrons, a sign that the food is authentic.

I thought I found a decent chimichanga at Ines', but this is definitely not the case. I usually order the chimichanga filled with steak, and while it's not deep-fried, the generous size and the queso sauce all over made up for it; however, on recent visits, the chimichanga was barely pan-fried, and the filling was just not flavorful or that great in quality. The steak had a funny flavor to it, and there was hardly any queso on the chimichanga. Staff are friendly, but they were more on the slower and inattentive end; they do cater more towards the regulars. I love this place! Have been coming here for many years and athough it change names and owners it is still a great corner to come and enjoy fresh and authentic food. Today I went back and had the mixed parrilla, pupusas revueltas and a great time with friends. Highly recommended

I ordered a torta to go, watched 4-5 people place orders and given food both to go and dine before me. I had to ask twice how my food is and they just said it's next. The second time I looked at the stove and they JUST put the bread for my torta on. I'm usually patient but that was just ridiculous and they didn't seem to care.

Great place for authentic el Salvadoran food. One of my favorite places when you want something that doesn't seem "Americanized". Service is great and the place is clean with a working man feel to it. Give it a try.

My family and I have been going to this place for at least 3 years now. This place has great friendly staff and follows COVID regulations. Also their food is authentic and delicious but I would not want it any other way! The culture just within this restaurant is amazing. I usually get the Plato Típico Salvadoreño which comes with refried beans, steak, avocado, queso fresco, tortillas, and fried plantains. The steak is well seasoned and it is one of everything I could ask for. I especially love the fresh avocado and queso fresco on the side. The handmade tortillas on the side pair extremely well with the beans and rice and you get a little sweet at the end with the fried plantains! Since we are ordering out more, I got a variety of tacos on a whim and they were stunning and expectedly delicious. I would recommend this as a snack or even for taco tuesdays! Especially supporting small local businesses!

First time coming here and I already knew how good the food was going to be the MOMENT I walked through the door. The space is clean and we'll kept, and the staff are so polite. The drinks came out fast. My friend got the margarita and he loved it. I'm allergic to alcohol (I know ) so I got the mangonada without alcohol. I was really happy that they would be able to make it for me without alcohol because other places usually won't customize it for me. I got the revuelta, queso, and frijoles y queso pupusas along with the platanos. I'm literally so disappointed in myself because I wasn't able to finish all of that there it was SO good I was coaching myself on how to get more bites in. I had to get the rest to go but I know for sure it's going to be soooo good when I heat it up again. The sauces they gave us were also so good! I drowned my leftovers in the sauces before packing them up. 100% would recommend! I'd go back solely for the mangonada!

Was craving some authentic street tacos, and decided to give Ines a try. Was not disappointed! I got the Plato Especial de tacos which comes with a chorizo, chicken and steak taco. All three were good with the steak definitely being my fav. I will say, my dining companion also ordered the Plato, but tried to customize the tacos.... this did not work out well as neither of us speak Spanish. So he did get the correct tacos in the end but not the Plato which included rice, beans and salad. We did get the queso as well, which I would say skip or get the queso fundido instead which is more authentic. A real plus for me was also that their hot sauces are actually spicy! Love me some hot sauce but find them lacking at a lot of places having some real heat behind them. Not the case here!

Very good restaurant! I ordered from Ines Place through Uber Eats and everything was well packed. I ordered two pupusas and the three taco plate. Most of the meal was a delicious treat! The cheese and loroco pupusas were extremely tasty but the cabbage it came with wasn't as flavorful as others I've had. The taco plate was a great value and tasty, but the beef was fairly dry. This isn't enough to deter me from ordering again! I'll definitely order more from here because the overall value and taste was great.

This place SLAPS. THAT IS ALL- no photos cuz I ate everything. Ordered the lengua, al pastor, and asada tacos. Also got the chicharon con yuca appetizer and the queso pupusas.

3.5 stars for take out. Tasty food. I enjoyed the tongue and tripa tacos. I really liked how beefy the tongue taco was. Just like a soft roast beef. The tripa was exceptionally clean. I usually like to e tripa a little more crispy but the clean taste and great seasonings made up for it. I also got the triple palette with steak, chorizo, and plantains. The steak was the star of that show. Finally, the Marisco soup was full of delicious seafood but I would have enjoyed it with some créma. The horchata was just okay. Overall good food they use Uber eats for pick up and it was quick and efficient.

I love inez place i have been coming in for years their food is soo delicious. However today they really upset me. I checked my bill to see how much my friends portion was and i saw the prices were different then the whats on the menu. I went up to my waiter and asked her why that was and she then told me that the prices went up and i told her well thats not what the menu says and thats false advertising and they could get introuble for that. The waitress then proceeded in telling me that they are waiting for their new menus that reflect the new prices and i told her that in that case they should be charging the menu prices until the new menu comes or atleast make the customer aware prior to ordering about the price difference. I asked her if we could speak to inez or if anything could be done and she proceeded to tell me she just working there its not her problem its out of her control and i told her that as a paying customer its not my problem either. We are being lied to about the prices and we arent atleast being made aware of it. She then changed the story and said well thats the price with tax and i called her out on the lie because there was taxes charged at the end of the bill. She then went back to her prior excuse that the prices went up and they havent received their new menus yet and she showed me on the menu how they have to use labels to write the new price in marker and i told her then until they get the new menu they should do that on all the menu items because its only done on a few items. At the end nothing was done for me i had no choice but to pay and i left. Sure enough i didnt leave a tip because that is wrong. Please pay attention to the receipt and make sure they arent over charging you. It seems they have been doing this in the past with others as well. It wasnt a big difference but at the end its about the principal, they are charging people more then the menu prices and not even telling them . Especially with inflation now every penny counts. On the menu the tacos said $3.50 but i was charged $4 also my meal was $11.95 and they charged me $12.95 . The orchata said $3.50 but they charged me $3.75 and at the end of the receipt they charged $4.48 in taxes

Hidden gem. Legit. If it were not for my fellow Yelper's, I would have never thought to check this place out if we were craving some pupusas but so glad we did. The food was hearty, heavy at times but don't forget to eat the pickled veggies and/or side salad with your meal! The meat was so tender and flavorful and cheese was so on point. There were a lot of people coming in to carry out. I was super impressed with how fast they took the order, how fast the food was prepared, and how happy the people were to be carrying out such deliciousness. Will be back to try more things and/or get more things. I actually wouldn't mind getting a large pupusa order for catering... may have to try that soon.

Ines has authentic tacos at a great price! It's hard to locate Ines as it's in a small shopping center along the road so be careful as to not miss it. This little hole in the wall has a great menu with something for every patron to enjoy. They have mask requirements and socially distanced seating however the restaurant is so small that I honestly have just taken their food to go. Reasonably priced items and I love the authentic Tripe, Soft Tendon & Lengua Tacos. They give a reasonable portion of meat, lettuce, onions & side sauces for each of the tacos. I've also tried the Nachos and they are quite large and the nacho cheese is pretty okay! I will definitely be back again to order tacos & apps to go!

A friend recommended this place and I also saw her review on here and let me say, too hyped. The tacos were really good! I got the lengua and it was juicy! But the pupusa was okayyyy. I've had better. It was a little too burnt for my liking and not enough cheese. If you go, stick with the tacos.

We came in doing the busy lunch hour. There was only one server, thus, she was extremely busy. But she was so lovely. I'm just knocking down 1 star because they need more personnel, at least, during crazy busy hours. Inés is a Mexican restaurant that also serve some Salvadorian cuisine. For lunch, I ordered the three tacos platter, you can combine any of the tacos. I ordered chicken, chorizo, and al pastor. Warning! The chorizo is really spicy. The platter also comes with refried beans, rice, and a little side salad. It was a very filling meal and affordable. As an appetizer, our table ordered a Salvadorian dish that consisted of sweet fried plantains, and cream. It was so delicious. It's a small, hole in a wall in a sort of inconspicuous plaza, but they sure can serve some really good tacos. 4 stars.

Overall food, service and ambiance is ehhhh.... 3/10 not sure what the fuzz is about this place super expensive for no reason and food wasn't that great on top of it. Won't be coming back when there are other places that have better quality food for a cheaper price.

I have been a client of Ines place for several years. The food is good consistently. Management, servers, and kitchen personnel are consistent. The pupusas and soups are exceptional. Prices are reasonable and drinks are good. Great for pick-up orders or eat-in.

ANOTHA ONE!!! Another hole in the wall that was introduced to me by my sister! Now, please understand I don't mean that it a rude way. It's an authentic Mexican/El Salvadorivan place..... and that's when you KNOW the food is about to HITTT. I am not a taco girl myself. My boyfriend and his family LOVE Mexican food. I think it has something to do with the fact that eat, and have been eating, authentic latino food literally my entire life. So my first choice is never: "oh, yes, Mexican food!"--buuut my sister said "let's go here! It's really good and really cheap!" So, you know I had to oblige. Right in the center of Fairfax City, down the street from the court house, it's this little place with about 8-10 tables. I got the Chorizo Tacos. And they were about $2.60 each! This filled me up pretty good, but I've also been dieting so that might also be why. I also asked for slices of avocado to moisten it up a little and for me, that made it perfect. Other than the fact that they did NOT tell me the avocado was gonna be an extra 3 bucks, it's was an awesome establishment to dine at. Go forth and enjoy food, yelpers!

I was craving Mexican so I got delivery from this place and I wanted it to be authentic. I liked the food overall but I would have to say I prefer margaritas Grill over this place. I tried the queso and it was really good and a decent serving size. I also tried the guacamole and it was also a good serving size and really fresh! Way better than other guacamole. The chips were a little bit greasy but they were OK. The beans and rice were decent but honestly I like the seasoned Mexican rice and this rice was just plain with some sparse peppers in it. I tried the chimichanga with chicken which was absolutely huge and I could only eat half of it. The chicken was kind of dry and just not that good but the chimichanga otherwise tasted delicious. It would've been better vegetarian I guess with just beans. I also tried cheese pupusa. I really liked it and I could tell that it was authentic and handmade. The only thing I didn't like is that this restaurant hardly gives you any sour cream even though they say they give a serving of it with the chimichanga. I'm not sure if I'll order here again but maybe I will try tacos next time.

2 starts for food and service was lacking. Seems like waitresses were more interested in serving up their Male clientele than a single female. Not very welcoming and the owner should retrain their waitresses to provide excellent customer service to everyone! But I guess from my experience it's typical of the wait staff to not be as welcoming to their female counterparts.

This place goes crazy. Highly recommend. We got tacos + fajitas + chicharron y yuca. All of it was 10/10. Service was very good, too.

The tacos were authentic and delicious, the torta was juicy and tender but my all time favorite thing was the Papusa was to die for!!! I would give my whole soul for that papusa. I put it in my mouth and went to heaven and back. Will be ordering everyday until I die! I would like these papusas to be served at my funeral one day. 10/10 best things I have ever put in my mouth

This is definitely a hole in the wall no frills restaurant. I've only had the tacos here so can't speak for the other food. The tacos are your Mexican street style tacos, which I'm a fan of when I want a change from the crunchy tacos of Taco Bell. The like the variety of meats you can choose from and they are all a great price for what you get. My favorites are the pastor and the lengua tacos. I can get full off of about 4-5 tacos. However, I agree with all the other reviews that this place is extremely slow. I don't recommend this place if you are in a hurry. I'll probably be back to try the other food when I'm not limited on time.

Great local find serving Mexican and Salvadoran food. The queso pupusa and shrimp quesadillas were delicious! The chicken taco was okay. The gordita was pretty good and crispy. The chips are very crisp and salsa is good. Pretty good service and nice staff. You will definitely walk out smelling like a whole meal.

I did not like the BISTEAK A LA MEXICANA. It was terrible. Five pieces of spicy fatty beef that you can't chew, poor rice, poor refried beans, and inedible terrible bread for $20. My friends liked the two kinds of soup we bought though.

Can you go wrong here? No. This is where pre-covid I met with friends who wanted to treat me to eating out but who I know also can't really afford to spend a lot. Because you get SUCH GOOD FOOD for really excellent prices. And it's genuinely a restaurant where I choose to spend my own money. The sopa de res is hands down a favorite of mine. I accept no other restaurant's version of this soup. It is perfection. Pupusas are good. Maybe not my favorite but consistently good. Torta Cubana is not a cubano sandwich (which I crave) but it's excellent. I actually order this with some frequency which is a surprise since it was in no way the sandwich I hoped for based on name alone but I do like it a good deal. And the tacos are generally great. Simple. Perfect. Just great. Every time I bring people here they rave about the food and the good prices. One friend ordered himself six dishes, was thrilled with every one of them, and even more thrilled when the check came. I'm surprised I never reviewed this place before. It's got one of the best food quality to price ratios of anywhere I know locally. I have the sopa de res in my fridge right now!

We were pleasantly surprised by this place! Probably the best authentic street tacos we've had in NoVA. The papusas and plantains were also amazing. We'll definitely return.

Except for messing up the order I love this place. Once my flautas had no chicken in half of them so as long as you check your order you will be happy ha.

This is our best find of the past several months. Amid a slew of Mexican restaurants in Fairfax, this stands out with their Mexican and Salvadoran specialties. It started out with amazing salsa. We got a pork and cheese pupusa to share and yum! I ordered the Plato Tipico Salvadoreno (typical Salvadoran plate). It was lots of food with steak, chorizo, flavorful rice and beans and avovado, cottage-cheese like product and plantains. I loved everything! My husband got chicken smothered in onions and it was also amazing! Can't say enough good our this place!

Delicious! We've gotten delivery from Ines Place twice. The portions are huge and the food is amazing. I personally love taco plate (comes with 3 tacos [chicken, chorizo, and beef], rice, and toppings) and the pupusas

Wow! Might I dare say that this place has by far the best Mexican tacos and Sopas in all of Northern Va? Hole in the wall this place is indeed. I've been driving past this restaurant for years, and if it weren't for Yelp, I probably wouldn't have stopped by. Ines Place serves both Mexican and Salvadorian cuisines. Get the tacos! They have lengua, carnitas, asada, el pastor... I mean the list goes on! Oh and the sopas?! My goodness, the beef in the soup is oh so tender and literally melts in your mouth. While you're at it, go ahead and get a large Michelada to go with your meal. It's 1 liter aka about three beers to be exact. I ordered the horchata which was alright in my opinion. I personally like my horchatas with lots of cinnamon but that's a user preference. The service is wonderful. Our waitress was extremely sweet and hospitable. All in all this place is a hidden gem in the heart of Fairfax. I hope to see their Yelp review count go up within the next few months because this place certainly deserves it and does not disappoint.

Two weeks, two visits to Ines Place. You know it's good when you hit up a joint back-to-back. This time, with past experience in hand, I ordered one one papusa and four tacos (carne asada, chorizo, al pastor, and lengua). Out of all four, I'd probably rank in this order: 1) Carne Asada - I have a bias for beef, but their asada is well seasoned and as solid as can be. I think they use this same meat in the quesadilla (to be discussed below). 2) Al Pastor - You really can't go wrong with a pastor, after all, you get blessings and prayers. Try it, you won't regret it; but if you hate it, it's okay, He'll forgive you. 3) Chorizo - This one was interesting. It's grounded chorizo sausage that's pan-fried to a crisp. If you like that crisp sausage texture that's a little oily, this is for you. Overall, I liked it, but it might not be for everyone. 4) Lengua - I really want to love the lengua, it's such a unique part of meat that is often underappreciated. However, it's lacking in depth of flavor. You really have to pound that hot sauce to get some taste out of each bite. Okay, quesadilla time. If all else fails, order that quesadilla. Filled with much carne asada, cheese, guac (no extra ~$2 for chipotle guac) and other assorted toppings that may or may not complete the picture depending on your quesadilla tendencies. Yet, once again, it fails to deliver 5 stars. Why you may ask? Because I tried to order a Torta and their retort was "no." And I subsequently bemoaned, "nooooooooooooooo..........." out loud to voice my displeasure. Oh well, there's much to indulge in and satisfy your Mexican and Salvadorian culinary lusts. Indulge and be merry.

I had never heard of Ine's or stopped in the strip mall off Main Street in Fairfax until this weekend, but after eating there I would be happy to do so again. The restaurant has a mom and pop feel and and the staff--and other patrons--were welcoming. We ordered nachos, a chimichanga, and a variety of tacos. The nachos had a lot of chicken and steak along with melted cheese among other toppings, and were a good value for the money. The chimichanga was fried as it should be, unlike the ones at some other restaurants that are baked. It was also huge and quite filling. The tacos were soft shelled with corn tortillas, a chorizo being quite and flavorful and spicy.

Today I had the worse experience at this place. Been a regular customer ordering almost every day, one of th owner approach me and told me if I don't like how the food take more then an hour I should ge the f..... out of her place. As a owner of business you should apologize for the inconvenience instead insult a customer. If you act like that with the people who keep your business operating you should close it, or learn a little bit about customer service. She no only lost one customer today, she lost more then that because I personal been recommended this place , no anymore. I don't want to imaging how she treat her employees after she treat my self as a customer. HORRIBLE OWNER. Hoy tube la peor experience que se pueda tener en un restaurante. Una de las dueñas se acercó no para disculparse porque la comida a tardado más de una hora aveces , ella se acercó solo para decirme que si no me parecía bien me podía largar de su restaurante. Como dueña de un negocio debería aprender a cómo tratar a sus clientes si es que le importa seguir abierto , porque recuerde que los clientes le mantienen su negocio funcionando. Al menos esté regular cliente no lo tendrá más Y tampoco ninguna recomendación a este lugar, lo siento por las chicas que trabajan allí por que si así trata a un customer no quiero imaginar cómo debe tratar a sus empleados.

Great mom and pop place. The location is small, I've eaten there a few times, but mostly only order to go. Their sopa de res (beef soup) is one of the best I've had in the area. Best of all, all their food tastes home made. Props to the cook making the beef soup

What a hidden gem. We drove past this place for years until someone recommended it. Now it's our go-to Mexican spot. Ines serves the best pupusas in the area... hands down. All of the food is consistently delicious, the staff is friendly and it's a great value. Stop driving by and give Ines' a try. You'll keep going back, too.

This place will make you wait and wait and wait for your order. Went here to pickup dinner was told it would be 25 min no problem. 45 mins later asking for my order and was told it would be 5 more mins. Customer after me got there order before I did. Not going back

Honestly, I don't even know where to start. I would definitely give them a 0 star rating if I could. I went to go get some tacos today for me and my coworkers. The tacos were good but in one of my tacos there was a roach!!!!! I lost my entire appetite, I even threw up because it looked the roach fell out of my taco. It was just a terrible experience. I will NEVER EVER go to this place again and I told my coworkers, friends and family to never come here!!! I also attached the picture of the roach I found.

The papusas were good, I got 2 mixed and 1 loroco. The restaurant is small but it wasn't busy. The service was slow but I expect it from any papusa restaurant.

Yum! We love this place. No attitude, just great food cheap. Good service, too. And you can watch telenovellas! Dinner tonight for my family.

Not worth it! Thought given the close proximity to the courthouse this would be a great little place to get some authentic food. Got to the restaurant at 11:30am so safe to say we were the only ones there besides a couple. I ordered 3 tacos with beans and rice and my friend got a chicken quesadilla. From the time we got there we didn't get our food until I told them we were leaving at 12:10. Take in account at 11:50 I had to ask them to put our food in to go plates as it was taking so long. But wait it gets worst! After waiting 40 mins the orders weren't complete and the food was bland! You could tell the chicken in my friends quesadilla wasn't even seasoned. They didn't even put sour cream or avocado in my friends plates. My beans were watered down and bland while the carne in my tacos was over cooked. Safe to say we won't be going back.

A great little hole in the wall place that serves good El Salvadorian food. They cook up Papusas, Tacos Al Pastor, and a great variety of hearty meat dishes fresh off the grill.

If I could give zero stars, I would... Came to this place craving authentic Latin American food and this was not the place. Ordered the carne asada & the steak they use is a cheap cut while charging $16.95. Also ordered a pupusa which was overpriced & greasy. All in all this place was overpriced & lacked in flavor.
