Inga's Alpine Tavern

If you’re in Denver, you should definitely check out this dive bar. It has all the right vibes. We dropped in here late after a show at red rocks, and we’re glad that we did. The drinks were great, but the service was even better. They made it feel like a Cheers environment, even though we were first timers. The menu was surprisingly good as well and they serve food past 1 AM which was nice.

Definitely full on Tavern vibes, with locals and all. You can tell people come here religiously, server/bartender (he did it all so he might have been the owner not sure) knew peoples first names. Was shocked how huge the pretzel and sausage were.. it’s a meal or a sharing appetizer lol. Sausage was A1 delicious. Mustard sauce was good but strong, a dash of honey and a pinch of brown sugar in it would do wonders (wink wink). Overall pleasant experience will go back.

Went on a Sunday night. Cute and cozy place. No event or live entertainment during my visit, but this is often available. Service was great. Atmosphere was friendly. Food choices for gluten free or vegetarian are limited. My dining partner enjoyed their pizza. I was disappointed that they do not offer gluten free, or better yet, cauliflower crust pizza. (Newsflash: people who want gluten free usually need gluten free due to allergies and health reasons, not due to a fad or trend). I had the veggie tacos which were amazing. The cauliflower was perfectly charred and the taste was not boring. I cannot eat nuts so substituted the cashew sauce with avocado and tzatziki sauce. I will return just for this. Full bar (no gluten free beer though), with creatively crafted choices, limited wine menu, ciders, kombuchas, and spiked seltzers offered.

Overall, it is a very solid local tavern. The atmosphere seems very chill and cozy. I love their selection of beers, board games, and weekly events. I ordered their food to-go and it was fantastic. Their wings were big and saucy. The pizza was really tasty. I may come back to try in person 👍

I went here with my family, we’ve been coming here since I was a little kid and this place has gone down the drain, the food sucks,fries suck, beer sucks. My burger was pink after I was told no pink, my son’s truffle fries had the smallest amount of actual dressing. I never got a burger back, the owner was here the whole time and didn’t do anything about this. This place has turned bad for the worse, any Denver natives that used to come, do not come again

We came here mid-Day on a Saturday for lunch. It was basically empty so we chose to sit outside in the son and enjoy the rock and roll they were playing on the speakers. The atmosphere is really cool. Would be great for Apre ski- big bar, games, ski decorations, dim lighting and bar staff decked out in skate gear. The outdoor area was dialed. We sat at a table kind of perched up above the rest of the patio and were basking in the sun our entire meal. Stand up and we could see the mountains. The beers were cold from the tap, but I probably wouldn’t get the tangerine IPA again because it was more tangerine than it was IPA. The food was comfort style - Zataar bread was like cheesy breadsticks from a pizza joint with a Nepalese twist. 7.5/10 Chicken tacos were solid, not the best I’ve ever had but flavorful and enough food for lunch. 7.5/10 My girl got the elote bowl which we both thought was delicious and a solid vegetarian option. 9/10 Spent $60 total including tips. Cheers, will be back for more on a busier night with our friends. Could also see it being a solid spot to watch the Avs games.

Such a vibe! Great food choices and attentive staff. Will be returning. 4 stars because I just wish there was a bit more meat on the sandwiches, but the flavor profile was excellent.

Located right on Leetsdale this location is easy to miss with all the traffic and conglomeration of buildings, but what a lively, most Excellent neighborhood bar!! The atmosphere is warm, lots of T.V's with different sports events going on, good drinks, good food, and the friendliest folks in town working there. The decor, walls, tables, and chairs are all nostalgic and remind you of "another" place far away. I had a pepperoni pizza that was to me the best thing to eat in the area. Stop by for a drink and snack. You will not be disappointed.

Great spot to get a drink. Very Colorado dive type bar with a great dirty martini. I had the Greek bread that was okay but I don't think you come here for the food. The bartenders were nice.

I work graves at a hospital , so unless I pack a lunch , food options are SUPER limited. I have ordered from Inga's a couple times now and each time the food is amazing ! I love the different options and the quality of food ! This is my go to place for when I do order out for my work meals Oh ! And this last time I ordered the meatballs for a co-worker and she can NOT stop talking about them

Inga's Alpine Tavern is aptly named. When you walk in, you definitely get those cozy mountain basement vibes. The ambiance is fitting for a neighborhood, locals-only watering hole. I want to like this place more than I do. I've been here a few times since the kitchen is open fairly late (by Denver standards) and it's a nice place to chill and watch a game. But $6 Coors Banquets and $8 canned beers? This isn't a high end cocktail bar, this is more of a dive. Too steep for the quality of what you're getting. In terms of food, y'all should know by now I'm a wing lover. I even have a chicken wing tattooed on me. KIDDING, but maybe I should...$15 for an order of wings is pretty standard with inflation, so that I don't necessarily care about. But these wings are tiny with a lowercase t. There's not much meat on them, and the flavors leave you wanting more. They do load up on the carrots and celery...but that shouldn't be the most exciting part about a chicken wing adventure. Maybe their wings aren't all that and I should expand my horizons to other menu items. They do have great pictures on their website, but I've never personally seen food that resembles it in person. Like I said, a super cozy neighborhood spot. I've just been let down with the food options a few times. Honestly it won't completely deter me from coming back, I just feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick here!

First the good, the dolma is good. The pretzel appetizer is w the cheese and mustard is as expected. Love the Fry's Fries. Street (chicken) tacos are always fresh and a house favorite. Now the bad, the cheesesteak was a complete letdown, especially for $16. They put it on a mini-roll (5.5"), and it's meh taste wise. The frustration is they advertise a full sized sandwich but deliver a mini one. Sell the mini for $7-$8 alone and it is more reasonable. The other frustrating thing is all of the sides are fried, minus adding a (+$5) side salad. Even veggies sticks would be a good side to offer. We sometimes order a full salad to find veggies on the menu, Caesar & Spring salad are both tasty.

Fun place, kind of a retro / artistic sports bar vibe. Decent cocktails. A few things could be cleaned up, including fixing hand soap dispensers in RR's (one of my pet peeves). And they were out of a few cocktail ingredients. Other than that, good service, atmosphere and drinks.

Love trying new to me places. And this place didn't disappoint. Went with a friend to get a bite to eat and play trivia. Atmosphere and venue were a lot of fun. Waitstaff was very attentive, prompt, efficient and fun as well. Spent more time there than expected. Will definitely be back. Oh, food was good too. I had the mushroom swiss burger with barbacoa fries (substituted for $3 more). Burger wad good and plentiful. Friend had green chili burger with queso fries. We started with the dip sampler and wow that was right on point. Great mix of flavors.

This place was delicious! We had a couple of drinks, the Colorado schnitzel, and some wings. Food was pretty good. PB&J mule was really good, but they did run out of peanut butter before we could order a second one. We also tried the watermelon mint and the blood orange mules and they were also pretty good, but the PB&J is where it's at. The food and drinks were 5/5. However. We ordered the Colorado schnitzel and asked for poutine fries on the side. We said we didn't mind an up charge but the waitress said she didn't know if they could do it, and they didn't. Which is fine, but when we got the check it had poutine fries added to it... Also, another minor issue was that on the menu the Colorado schnitzel says it comes with slaw OR sauerkraut AND fries. We didn't get the sauerkraut and when we asked our waitress told us you can only get one of the sides. Clearly this isn't true and in pictures I see that people get both sides.

Great food and selection, the service was excellent and the staff are super nice. The patio area is cute and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great bar. Philly Cheesestake stuffed with lots of meat (but hardly any cheese). Still good. Hector the bartender is friendly, fast and spot on. Maybe a locals spot, but they never made me feel that way.

Stopped on in here on Sunday with my wife for the first time seeking to have a few beers and lunch due to the excellent yelp reviews we saw about the food, but we were quite disappointed all around with the experience. The first issue was that there was hardly anywhere to sit, even though the restaurant was only 25% full, since they don't seem to believe in bussing the tables when customers leave. They had all the doors wide open on a cooler day so we could not sit inside (most had not been bussed anyway) and we just had to sit outside in the sun to try and keep warm and comfortable. We were greeted in a timely manner by a very kind gentleman who appeared to also be the inside bartender and the only server in the whole place. Our initial only drink order we got to put in was actually put in very timely fashion and we were asked about putting in for some food too. We put in the food order (Pork Tenderloin Schinzel and a pizza) and both came out fairly quickly, but the food runner ding-dong did not think to give us any silverware or plates to eat it with, so needless to say it sat there for a very long time and got quite cold while we waited for the only server (also bartender) to come back out and check on us and bring us some silverware. I even got up to look for some silverware myself so we could get eating but could not locate it. I washed my hands before the meal and there were not paper towels in the restroom, so I had to shake them off and let them airdry. We never got a check back one as our drinks were totally empty to get a 2nd round of beers, which is just fine, because by then we had enough of ridiculousness of this place already. They seem to have a lack of management or serious training issues or any restaurant experience. I have worked in way too many restaurants and saw all the employees leave the patio with empty hands every time. You should see full hands in, full hands out in a better run establishment. I must say to food quality was decent, but it was served to us ice cold because of the unnecessary silverware issue. The extra server that showed up at 3pm sharp for her shift also did not feel the need to start bussing the restaurant, and got busy helping other customers instead, but seemed to be ignoring us, we seemed to belong to the bartender. All the same tables were still not bussed by the time we left.

Inga's was recommended when we searched for happy hour on the patio with budget friendly cocktails and decent food. It could have been so great, but we will not return. The biggest disappointment was the service, or lack there of from Hector. We had to go inside to the bar to order our food and at least two rounds of drinks and water. He came outside once said and literally said "did I forget to bring your round or did you already drink it?" Uh...guess! We went inside to pay our tab as he was clearly never coming back and we were done smelling cigarette smoke of other patio patrons (not sure if the patio is smoke free or not) only to find the beverages that we thought were $3 on the happy hour menu were actually $7 and we were never told such. The green chili burger is subpar, the Caesar wrap was fine, the only highlight of the visit was the truffle fries and we did get some sun on the patio.

Ordered off the new menu and The winter salad was amazing. And of course the wings are always great. Thank you chef Danny

Well I really wanted to like this place but I was underwhelmed. We waited for half an hour for our food to appear and then it was cold. The fries were soggy and unsalted. The wrap was good. My husband had the fish and said it was well seasoned but over cooked.

Fun patio, cool vibe, amazing wings. Somehow I had never had the wings but I think it's all I should get now. Crispy texture and the classic wing sauce has a nice herbal and smoky flavor. I asked and they brine the wings, season and bake them, then fry them. Some of the best wings in town.

Stopped in due to being early for an appointment, and boy am I glad I did. The alpine look was very cool, excellent food, and good service all added up to an excellent experience. Had a couple of appetizers (empanadas, and bread) and both were excellent. Pacifico was doing a promotion and my dod got the royal treatment. The gals decked him out in a new bandana, gave him a food bowl with collar and leash. Then the had him model with a couple of beers. Everyone was very friendly and loved the dog. Very good experience and I will be back the next time I am in the area. Can't wait to try more of the food!

I came here midday on a Saturday... the service at the bar was atrocious. I was treated like they didn't even want to serve me. I have no idea why. I was polite and didn't complain. I'll just stick to places in Cherry Creek and other nicer areas.

Shout out Taylor, let's go broncos. French fries are solid too. Great for watching a game.

I got stuck in Denver due to flight delays. I needed food at 1 am. The food was delivered by DoorDash and was scrumptious. It's not easy to find tasty food at 1 am. Bonus points for waffle fries.

Went to Ingas for lunch the other day, I had their Chicken Steert Tacos. They were great. The waitress that served me was great. I never had to ask for water or another beer. She was on top of it! Her name is Gina.

Great goto neighborhood plane to grab some good bar food & drinks. Service is always good too.

Inga's ignites...!!! ....Fantastic Food, Fun, & Flavors.... Just love the green chili soup and everything else too ..... Live music all the time ...And most importantly... look for Dudley...and be sure to buy him a drink !!!

Food was amazing! Service from Taylor even better! Definitely coming back. I highly recommend the Caprese salad and shrimp skewers. Taylor was on top of happy hour :)

Found this place through DoorDash while staying at a nearby hotel - the pizza was outstanding! It was such a peasant surprise. I'd love to go back and see what the atmosphere of the restaurant is!

My wife and I stopped by and had Fried Pickles and a Mexican Pizza. Let me tell you that the food was delicious! Another big plus was that we had one of the best servers that we've had. You really do not have that anymore. We were there when it was busy. I can tell you she was on it, and always made sure that we had everything we needed. Her name is Gina! A+ service.

Came for live music Friday night & had an amazing time - had an ever-evolving group of 6-12 on the patio, our server Peter made sure we had an AMAZING time - was so organized with everyone being buzzed/moving around & was super attentive makin sure we had fresh drinks & anything else we needed - thanks Peter!!!!

Great! Food, Service, atmosphere. I have many great bands playing. They serve my favorite drink station 26 Tangerine cream. How to give a shout out to Taylor ! Badass! Waiter! Very nice very professional !

As a person who goes to have a good time, you are not promised a safe time. They do not care about the well being of their patrons. You are not safe here. Be prepared to defend yourself because after warning the bartenders of a hostile environment they do nothing. And if you call the police to protect yourself after an attack (I was assaulted) you will be 86d from the bar with no explication. They do not protect your safety or wellbeing and you are not safe here. Be ware.

I love Ingas. the food here is amazing, and Carissa is my favorite! I look forward to laughs with her, worlds greatest soft pretzel and pickle shots! proud to have you guys as my home bar.

Mediocre food I couldn't finish after waiting half an hour for it. My husband and I came in to what appeared to be a dead restaurant which had only 20 people inside with two at the bar drinking, five people outside finishing up and another two of those doing work and having finished their food. Why might you ask I know this? Because I was sitting trapped waiting for my food for 30 minutes for my food. The waitress was ok but then instead of keeping us updated with where our food was she made sure not to make eye contact and stock the bar w her coworker instead. I had to stop her while she was running by to ask her to check on our food. Will not be coming back.

Man. Had such a fab time here. Amazing decor, amazing live music. Amazing clientele. Such a great spot!

My friends and I went to see the Colorado Mambo Orchestra at Inga's. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a little slow. Seating outside on the patio was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed the entertainment!

Love this place! PETER was absolutely amazing! He helped us celebrate our friends birthday and facilitated an incredible environment!

The chicken wings were really good. The schnitzels were good. The cocktails were bad. Got the Swedish Fish drink and it tasted really watered down. Asked for a cranberry and vodka to replace it and that was way too strong. To their credit, they didn't charge for the Swedish Fish but honestly that was the right thing to do. The service was extremely lacking. Server just stared at us when we said the drink was watery. The place itself is very small, eclectic. I like the atmosphere as just a little place for locals.

This place is super cute and eclectic. The green chili fries were very good. Trivia night was fun. Would come back.

All of the bartenders here are really great at their job! Ian, however, is probably the best and most attractive bartender of them all. He is so handsome and stylish. Furthermore, the holsters he wears around his shoulders are actually REALLY cool. 5 stars.

Went on a first date here for drinks and a pretzel. Fabulous place for a first date. The drinks were yummy and I would go again.

Decent mules, awesome empanadas, mediocre burgers, terrible Philly cheesesteak. services was really good, but the menus were disgusting...all of them needed to be wiped down with a clean towel. probably won't go back.

I'm new to Denver and always drive past this place! First time and it def won't be the last. My roommate and I ordered the bacon wrapped corn dog, Philly cheesesteak with the house salad, and split the Fry's fries. The service was friendly and great. The food came out super quick and everything was 12/10 SLAPPIN'. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Inga's is an all-time favorite! The fries are always superb and the beers are always cold. Nicole always takes great care of us and the Blood Orange Kolsch is a phenomenal beer. Highly recommend!

I'm a very picky person and I have nothing but good thing to say about Ingas. My Green Chili burger and fries were Amazing. Very authentic and and the green chili was the best! I also tried the fish from the fish and chips and the fish just melts in your mouth. We also had wings and cheese curds and it was sooo good! Now the drinks... We tried a lot of different ones and we were so satisfied with every single one! Our waiter was perfect, we were very impressed with the whole experience! We'll definitely be back and recommend it 100%! Ian was our waiter 9:10 pm we need more waiters like him!!!

This place has always been one of my go-tos. Been coming here for years, and everything is always fire. The bartender Taylor was super great and made us feel at home. Love this place.
