The Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Formerly Monkey Board, the Ingenue is on top of the Troubador Hotel, offering one of the best impressions of a Las Vegas rooftop to be found in New Orleans. Featuring artist Gabe Flores’ bright, graffiti-style artwork and expansive views of the city from the 17th floor, the cocktails match the new decor: colorful and over-the-top. Bar bites include a few flatbreads — vegetable, fig and prosciutto, and shrimp and arugula — as well as crawfish bread, interestingly, wings, and funnel sticks for something sweet." - Clair Lorell

How to Throw a Perfect Bachelorette Party in New Orleans

"Hop on the streetcar to the Central Business District for a stop at Ingenue at the top of Troubadour Hotel for one of their specialty cocktails with kitschy names like the 'Masked Mambeaux.'"

The view is great, the food is good, the drinks are really tasty, but the service is slow, the severs are not attentive, and the experience felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. The servers marked us as “no show” on our reservation online, which affects our ability to make reservations in the future at places that use the Open Table app. But we were there. And they wouldn’t split the check which I know is an arbitrary decision made by either the staff serving us or the manager and it’s ridiculous. We should be able to split the Bill in half at least. I’m pretty underwhelmed by the whole experience even though my friends and I made the best of it and wish the staff had made it feel more welcoming. If the management changes in the future, it has potential. The view and flavors were really nice so I would try them again one more time, but probably not make a reservation on a Tuesday and just come.

A most racist establishment and I am so disappointed in them! Over the weekend my friends and I came to New Orleans to celebrate a wedding. I planned to go to Ingenue with all of them (20-30 people) since they have a large rooftop. I connected with their events manager months before to ensure there were no private events that would impact us going to ingenue. Up until the week before, it was confirmed that there were no private events and we were able to drink and dine at the rooftop. My friends show up around 7pm and were denied service. To the words of the bartender, “We just had two shootings here last week and I’m not serving this group of we don’t have security, fire me if you want.” He literally closed the bar and denied us service! For context, all of my friends are black. We were forced to leave and go elsewhere. With this behavior it is clear that we were wrongly profiled and this is absolutely not the place to give your business to.

We went here on a Sunday night. We missed our reservation time but we're told we were welcomed to have a seat at the bar. It was full but not over crowded. We had a blast! Our bartenders were wonderful and professional. Our drinks were great and definitely not watered down. We left there feeling good. Maybe a little too good but we had a room at the Troubadour so we didn't worry about driving. The people were friendly and the mood light. It was a great night. We love this bar.

Google
Great place to enjoy some amazing views, people watching and city scapes! Definitely try and get up here for sunset! Even on a warm night the cool breezes up on the roof keep you nice and cool. The drinks are great and delicious bar snacks (the hummus was 100!) Note that they add 20% gratuity to their checks but shouldn’t that be what we are tipping anyways??

Paula Castillo

Google
I loved this rooftop!... The view of the city is amazing!... I haven't tried any food, but the cocktails are absolutely delicious!.... One of my favorite places in town!

DS, D.

Google
Yeah …gratuity is automatically added to the bill so it explains why the waiter showed up when he felt like it..& people always wonder why some rather not tip..that behavior is unacceptable and can definitely lead to the loss of patrons. Any who, the one drink that I did have was okay..nothing special. There’s no food so either eat before or don’t go if you need food when you drink alcohol. It’s a very spacious place even with a crowd so that’s a plus. There isn’t a certain age group that patronize the business…I saw young adolescents, my age group, and elders.

Google
Easy to find with GPS. Parking across the street was $8 for 2hrs on a Saturday evening. Friendly and straight forward staff. $11 for two specialty beers. $14 for pretzels with beer cheese & spicy asian wings. The wrap around seating areas offered plenty of options from picnic table to comfy couches. Go for the views & enjoy simple pub fare at a modest price for the location.

Google
Avoid at all costs. Service was horrendous and the bar barely had any drinks. Service was very slow and the drinks they did have took forever to receive.. as an example and I just ordered a Jameson near..neat... took over 10 min. Only good thing about this place are the skyline views of the city.

Yelp
Hours nor correct on Yelp. Closed at 10 pm on a weekday. It is on the 17th floor of the hotel. Front desk sent us up but it was completely dark. Took a few photos and left.
google avatar

Robert K.

Yelp
An usual bar to say the least The staff do not serve the tables but are friendly when you go to the bar and order drinks. The 17th floor view is the reason to come here. Open windows provide an excellent rooftop view. Bathrooms are present without having to go downstairs. The lounge is clean.

Yelp
We came here during our last trip to New Orleans. They have happy hour 4 - 6 pm when we came. Services was good and the view is spectacular. Just very pricey! We had intended on having an appetizer but after we had one drink and saw the prices, we left. The drinks were fairly small compared to most New Orleans places. Definitely a special occasion type of restaurant, it was just not for us on this trip. Not sure that I would go back.
google avatar

JiHae L.

Yelp
Came here as it is the rooftop of the Troubadour Hotel which is where I was staying at while visiting NOLA. I had to make a visit once during the week. They have happy hour from 4-6pm. Opened from 4-10:30pm on Mondays through Fridays and 4-11pm during the weekends. Went on a Thursday night after happy hour was done and it wasn't that crowded. So, not sure why the area in the back wasn't cleared off with all the glasses and waters left behind from the happy hour crowd. That was my one complaint. Other then that I liked the rooftop and service was alright by the bar. Plenty of seating too. The person playing the music really liked Drake and Wayne as that was on rotation all through the night.

Yelp
The only thing I really liked was the view. When you walk in the hotel, there are no signs as to where you need to go. You can only use one elevator to get there but it wasn't made clear so we had to ask the front desk. When we go to the rooftop, the hostess sat us by the bar right near the door. There was a garden looking patio with couches. We asked if we could sit in there and we were told they were reserved. No one came in after us as it was not too far out from closing and there were still plenty of couches available. Mind you, we also had a reservation. The waitress walked by several times and on concentrated on other tables. I had to flag her down to get her to wait on us. Even after taking our order, it took a while to get 2 glasses of wine with very little customers in the bar. Someone else delivered our drinks and then someone else our check and the original waitress walked by plenty of times without stopping to check on us. I understand that rooftop restaurants tend to be higher priced due to the ambiance but this place lacked that so it was just overpriced. Music playing was good.

Foua Y.

Yelp
It's just okay. I came here on a Friday evening. It was pretty dead and the ambiance wasn't lively at all. When asked about drink specials the bartender told me to just scan the code. Which just pulled up a very limited drink menu with no specials. I got a Margarita and old fashion. Both drinks cost us about $35, tip was already included, which is insane for something so basic. I'd say skip this place. The view is mediocre, as well as the drinks, and music.

Yelp
This place is so FUN!!! And I respect how they're keeping their staff and customers safe during the pandemic! All my time in NOLA and I hadn't heard of this place but saw it recommended on the Tulane Parent Page for outdoor seating. (It's rooftop actually). It was literally pouring rain when we arrived so we called to ask if we should even bother coming up and they told us it's a RETRACTABLE roof! It's very cool to watch, opens like blinds with very large windows and amazing views. Warning vegetarians: their ONLY option is French fries. Very limited menu. But very nice drinks, specifically the frozen ones! (Mai tai my fave) The table ordered crab cakes and sliders. You're really not coming here for the food. This is a fun fun vibe for drinks and unbeatable atmosphere. And you order with your cell phone so very limited interaction with staff. They're taking temps and contact tracing info at the door too. This place will be my first go-to when in town. Def check out the hotel as well.

Yelp
What a great rooftop bar. Great views and the drinks and food were decent. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks good - strong and handcrafted. It's a nice place for girls night or even a day date. The spinach dip wasn't fresh or tasty :(

Yelp
Monkey Board is the rooftop bar at the Troubadour. Happy hour is 4 to 6 nightly and a very nice selection of drinks are available for $6 each. Everything we had was tasty and a decent pour (not "my bar at home during Covid pours" but still good!). The view is of buildings and the very top of the Superdome but it's in a city, what else do you want? The sunset made everything glow which was cool (in the winter you get a sunset with your happy hour)! It's definitely "3 seasons" with large windows that I assume are open in warmer weather. In colder weather they have heaters which is a nice touch. The staff was friendly and responsive. We have been making our list of things to see and do while here and they happily looked it over, giving us suggestions of where to go and where to avoid, which was very cool of them! It was most crowded around 5 and emptied out around 6. They stay open until 11, so not sure what the later night crowd looks like. They also have a pop up kitchen that is staffed by different restaurants each day (Check their website for who). We got tasty empanadas from Krewe du Crave. Check this place out, I think you'll be happy you did!

Yelp
I'm glad I tried out this bar. The waitress was sweet and polite and helped me out with Finding something to order. The drinks were good and strong and the service was excellent. Follow me on TikTok "taneeshanthecity"

Yelp
Diamond member with Hilton- Talk about wasted space for something with great potential! Sub sub par service from staff that clearly doesn't want to be here! 15 patrons in line at 7pm on a Saturday... good time to take lunch break 1 of 2 bartenders??? WTF! Can we please get Jon taffer up in here! #barrescue

Hannah M.

Yelp
Service was good but I cannot believe I paid $15 for a margarita that didn't even fill half the glass. Love the ambiance but just not worth it.
google avatar

Tessa D.

Yelp
This is a great spot to start a night out. The natural light is amazing! I recommend making a reservation online to secure a table or else you'll be standing. Their happy hour is full of yummy drinks- I usually stick to the margaritas but their mai Thais are a nice sweet treat. Love this place!
google avatar

Courtnie L.

Yelp
The only reason they get a 4 star is because we have to go downstairs to get certain food items. Like why wouldn't fries be offered by the bar. Fries are a staple any where you do!!!!! The drinks were super good. The bartender was really nice and was able to make some good suggestions. The music was ok. I feel like there was a DJ sitting next to us, however, I think he just made a playlist. It was a pretty chill place definitely recommend for a pre-game.
google avatar

Jolene G.

Yelp
I had a nice time here with a group of friends. I hadn't been in a long time but I was happy to see the improvements on this rooftop bar. The whole space is now covered. There are fans to keep you cool. And there's more seating than what was originally available! We had our little corner and enjoyed drinks. The bartenders seem like they might need additional help to meet the demands of the crowd. Great time overall!
google avatar

Yelp
If you are looking for a rooftop bar in NOLA, this is it! The music, drinks, and the view are a combination that can't be touched. I ordered the Jazz Dad-quiri and a few other cocktails. I highly recommend this rooftop bar.

Yelp
WOW, what can I say about this place? Dangerous and Negligent... We went to the rooftop bar for NYE and paid $100 per person to get seating. As you can tell by the pictures, the bar did not have enough seating to accommodate us. We paid for 8 spots and they could only seat 6 of us. Thankfully, one person was not able to make it and they refused to refund the money. The place was packed and oversold. While most NOLA establishments require facemasks and COVID vaccination cards, this place required neither. They also advertised a champagne toast at midnight and failed to do serve that. For $800 a table we expected a little better service. They really needed better systems from greeting and informing guests about the night to a staff member who could accommodate large drink orders and ice for champagne. The real tragedy was the aftermath. I tested positive for COVID 2 days later. Within the next three days, everyone in our party tested positive as well. My special needs daughter tested positive and ended up in the hospital for a couple of days with respiratory issues. I called Monkey Board to inform them of the incident and the manager said he would send it to corporate and I would receive a call. One week later I called for the second time and got the run-around. I finally gave up. AVOID this place at all costs. They are more interested in your money than your health. With so many great places to spend your NYE in NOLA, I'd pick a place that was better organized and ready for a safe celebration..

Yelp
delicious drinks. slightly weird vibe -the view is not as great as advertised. But , the drinks were exceptionally prepared.
google avatar

Kara P.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. We had a large party here for my sister's wedding a couple weeks ago. I had the carne asada tacos for $12. They were very tasty and filling. My Mom had the chicken sliders, she enjoyed the flavor of the strawberry spiced BBQ sauce that was on them but the sliders were pretty small and at one point she questioned if her chicken was done all the way. The fries that accompanied them were hot and crispy. My husband had the burger. He finished it but didn't have a glowing review. They do temper checks for all guests entering and it is a nice rooftop atmosphere, but doesn't provide a super great view of Nola or anything.
google avatar

Lexi T.

Yelp
The one star goes out to the ambiance, view & really nice staff! The lack of 4 stars is for this TWELVE DOLLAR cocktail that was served in the same cup I got my water in. Def killed the vibe if you're going up here for a cute experience/drink pictures with the view. Can't even blame it on covid, because they were serving wine in normal glasses. Aside from this good joke of a drink, they automatically add 20% gratuity to a table of 3..... and no one told us....and no one took our order... you text it in. Be prepared for this ~experience~ if you will.
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
I went up for a drink after deciding that we would stay in tonight, but was a bit disappointed in my decision. They had a nice little seating area, but it wasn't cleared and full of trash. I picked up the containers of empty food and cups and took them to the trash and went up to the counter to order a drink. They had one on the menu that stated bartender's choice. I inquired about it so I could place my order for it, and was told that they didn't have one tonight. Why is it on the menu if it wasn't an option? I actually felt a bit unwelcome at this point, so I just took a couple of photos with my husband after he got my drink and headed back to our room. It is a nice looking spot, but we won't be back.
google avatar

Lindsey B.

Yelp
This place is pretty neat. I was not expecting it to be so trendy and cool in New Orleans. I kind of felt like we were out of town being up here. It has great views along with tasty cocktails. I will definitely try to come back soon.
google avatar

Felecia V.

Yelp
Wow! Surprised by some of the reviews. Maybe I went on a good night. LOL. This rooftop bar has a really nice vibe. The scenery is gorgeous. You can see some of New Orleans' most beautiful buildings and views. The music was excellent. Nothing too hype, nothing too boring. All of it was current. The staff were friendly. We did wait a while for our drinks to come out, but my friend received his food fast. He enjoyed his burger. We both ordered "The Doctor's Orders" (drink) and were pleasantly surprised. Sort of tastes like a spruced up beer but much better with lime flavoring. It's not that strong though. The overall atmosphere is great. I love the side areas which are partly enclosed. There are small sofas in there. Just makes for a great spot to really relax and drink.
google avatar

Teneha B.

Yelp
I had to see what the hype was about and I did. The place: Rooftop of the Troubadour Hotel you will find this little gem. The set up is fantastic. Love the canopied seating area in the rear. Perfect for relaxing & running it up with friends. The bar is centrally locates and easily accessed. There was a DJ that appeared at the 10 o'clock hour & this was an added delight. The service: NEEDS attention & revamping. We sat for about 15 minutes before the manager himself took our drink & food order. This was troubling to me. The drinks: Love the expansive, eclectic drink menu. Many concoctions to try for different tastes. The ingredients are listed so you know what you're getting. The food: It was fair. We ordered a shrimp roll to nosh on and well... I wasn't impressed. I would love to see a revamped food menu. I understand it's not the typical menu, but I don't find it to give a good variety. The view: OMGOSH!!!! amazing is the view. What's not to love. You're able to see the city from a different vantage point. And the night time view is THE BEST, I love my city!!!! All in all, I will visit again, the view alone is a draw; but I'll hope for better service & food menu.

Yelp
So glad we found this rooftop! Gorgeous venue with a bar and Dj upstairs. Also couches and sections were available to lounge. The only downside was the DJ was a bit off. Weird transitions between uptempo and slow songs. And also why are we playing slow songs after midnight? Before 1 it's hip hop and then I hear after is house. I left in between but I wouldn't make this the last stop of your night.
google avatar

Adrian H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Dj was playing good music. Drinks were amazing. I like this rooftop bar a lot more now than when it was Monkey Board.
google avatar

Farrah A.

Yelp
Go for this rooftop patio bar's views of the city, photo opps with fun custom light signs, friendly service, and light bites. I wasn't a fan of the plastic cups for the wine - I get it, it's the Big Easy - but glass would be lovely. Happy hour offers $6 select cocktails + red/white wine and $4 Miller Lite. To access the joint, head inside the Troubadour Hotel and take the elevator to the 17th floor. Have your ID on ya - they card right at the door!
google avatar

Yuki I.

Yelp
Cute little rooftop bar. It was a breezy, warm night and it felt really nice. But the views weren't all that impressive. I probably wouldn't come back, as there are better rooftop views and bars around Nola!
google avatar

Becky K.

Yelp
Rooftop bar/restaurant on top the Troubadour Hotel. The bar is open daily with a DJ playing Tuesday through Sunday. There is bar seating and a variety of table and couch seating. Tip: If you move from the bar to other seating you must close out your tab and open a new one with the table waitress. The drink menu is small but they have some good choices. My favorite was the "I love you Honeybear" which was a vodka drink with a honey flavor. They also offer beer and wine. The food selection is extremely small. I had the pork sandwich which was ok. The giant pretzel with cheese sauce however was delicious. Lastly, the views of the New Orleans skyline are amazing.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Monkey Board is a rooftop bar located on the 17th floor of Troubadour Hotel in Central Business District. It has a stunning cityspace view of New Orleans. There is bar seating as well as picnic tables and chairs and comfy outdoor furniture seating. You could reserve a private cabana. It's a great place to socialize with friends or celebrate a birthday or engagement. While enjoying the breathtaking views of the cityscape and watching the sunset, I enjoyed a Razz-A-Pazz, which consisted of Ciroc Black Raspberry, Lemon, Simple Syrup, Club Soda, and Berry Drizzle. It was served in a clear glass over rocks and with paper straw. Monkey charms are added upon request.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
Don't waste your time if you actually like food. Ok if you're going for a cheaply made drink and a decent view, but you will consider jumping as you realize there are some many other great places in NOL and you just wasted your time and money. I had the chicken sliders and an old fashion. Figured because I was staying on the 15th floor that going to the 17th wouldn't be bad for a snack. The drink tasted like Jack and maple syrup but did have an orange peel ‍. The fries were warm only because the grease they were soaking in was still dripping off them. The chicken sliders were a sloppy mess with some cheap dressing thrown in grocery store yeast rolls. The servers and bartenders were pleasant but not professional. The entire place appeared to be run by high schoolers. In the future I will go for the walk. Note: don't jump. I travel continuously and eat out all the time. I knew better and just felt dumber for actually following through with my own laziness for not going somewhere else.
google avatar

Nathalie A.

Yelp
The weather is just perfect for enjoying some drinks, food and a great conversation with friends or loved one at a rooftop bar. I'm a fan of feeling the evening breeze and this is one of my fav spots to do so. The place is clean,Safe and colorful. I give it 4 stars since the food menu lacked options.
google avatar

Emilie K.

Yelp
The SLOWEST and over all sub par service. Drinks were thin. Not much taste to the sazerac and my Mai tai tasted like watered down orange juice. Meh. I would not intentionally return.
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
This place is a super chill rooftop place to hang out with your friends! Sometimes they are booked with reservations and sometimes you can walk in and snag a spot. I would definitely call ahead to see what your options are! We walked in and I talked to the host and told her we would be a party of 10 but we weren't staying long so she was able to fit us in! We came for the happy hour drinks and sunset views and they did not disappoint! Super vibey and cheap drinks for happy hour! Love taking my friends here when they visit.

Yelp
Monkey Board gets two opposable thumbs up from me. see what I did there. The ambiance of the location was really nice. We set up for the bachelor festivities on their famed rooftop bar. It was a pretty chilly night so I didn't understand why this place was chosen. Then they proceeded to ignite these large propane tanks that emitted heat in all directions then I could instantly see the attraction. Imagine being on a rooftop knowing it's cold outside but you can't feel it. The view from the roof was amazing as well, you could see practically all of downtown New Orleans from here. We even captured a peak at the vaunted Mercedes Benz Superdome. That place is definitely on my bucket list after seeing it up close and in person. Gives you a certain chill because of its rustic exterior design and simplistic look. Now for the reason you guys were here!! The FOOD was pretty good and some items were better than others. It was typical bar food you can expect but with a little twist. Why make bad food and just make it bar food, NOLA says I'll see you meal and give it a bayou kick in the pants. Their sliders and wings are second to none in my opinion. The wings came with what I can only describe as a bang bang sauce because they were tossed in a type of Asian bayou zing blend that tasted nothing like anywhere else I've ever eaten. The pretzels were really salty and I didn't appreciate that but that's only one bad item. The servers were really attentive to us and made sure the drinks kept flowing. If that's not hospitality then I don't know what is. We drank more than our fair share on that rooftop. It was a great idea in hindsight because little did we know our night and weekend were just getting started!
google avatar

Alayna T.

Yelp
One reason I selected the Troubadour for my New Orleans stay was access to the rooftop bar (Monkey Board). Not sure why this place has such a bad rap. I had a wonderful experience, simply situated at the bar drinking perfectly crafted margaritas amongst the best views of New Orleans. Bar service was excellent. I observed the bartender or may be I should call him a mixologist, handcrafting each cocktail with love. The pop up restaurant featuring authentic Indian cuisine which was most delicious. The vibe was unpretentious yet fun, hip , and chic. The DJ added an extra punch to the ambiance of the night.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Oh my goodness where do I start. For starters the remodel on this building is absolutely horrible. Absolutely I repeat absolutely horrible the night we went there they offered us ceviche or Cheetos that was the entire menu i included photos of the menu an absolute joke of a restaurant. I have never once been to a restaurant that was this hilarious, I felt like I was an episode of Pranked
google avatar

Kaushik N.

Yelp
One word: Breathtaking!! This place is beyond amazing! The view is just sincere, relaxing, and just beautiful overlooking downtown New Orleans! When you exit the elevators to the too floor, you enter a world of paradise! True definition of serenity why you enjoy the many bites and drinks the lounge has to offer! This place is the place to be on a Friday and Saturday night! The Troubadour itself is a great hotel as well!

Yelp
We had a party of 9 - we were quickly seated and had plenty of space! Very cute vibe and aesthetic. Our waitress was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the drinks. She made sure we were taken care of, and even comped my friends drink because she did not like it (she ordered another that the waitress recommended and LOVED it!) We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Anisha A.

Yelp
Cutest rooftop bar in NOLA! Perfect for a girls evening/ night. The happy hour prices are great ($6 cocktails) and the appetizers were delicious. Our server was amazing, and the atmosphere was really cute!! Loved this place and lots of cute spots to take pictures! Drinks were VERY strong, so worth the $6. The salsa was super tasty, and so was the spinach artichoke dip. We also got the cheese dip which was good, but the other two were better.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
The monkey board has great aesthetic and class. I can tell that New Orleans has opened back up because it was packed and not too many people had on a mask, plus it was standing room only. The only complaints that I have is that one of the bartenders was touching the ice with his hands as he was putting ice in the glasses while making all the drinks that need ice. The reason I speak of this is because he was cleaning the counter, and he also went to the back to get some more liquor and not once did I see him wash his hands. My next complaints is I purchased one drink, and I was a party of 2. Just to let you know they do charge you gratuity. I don't like to be forced to tip. When I am not forced to tip, trust and believe I will always leave a better tip. Other then the ice and being forced to tip the vibe was cool. The view was also amazing and the parking wasn't much either it was just $6.25 for 2hrs.

Yelp
I love love love Monkey board Bar. Its one of my favorite rooftop bars in the city. The atmosphere is nice, they play mild techno music in the background which is ok for the vibe. The do sell food along with drinks which is nice and their food is always delicious. We had Frozen Sangrias and a Hurricane which was pretty good but it tasted more sweet than strong which I didnt like therefore I needed 2 drinks. But overall I would still recommend and come back to this place a million times because the staff, the vibe and the view is so nice
google avatar

Yelp
This place gets 4 stars, not because the food is so amazing, but because the view is awesome. Set on a roof top in New Orleans, it's the perfect place to take in the sunset while enjoying drinks and snacks with friends. Yes the bar service is slow. Yes you get your expensive mediocre drinks in disposable plastic cups, but trust me, this is the place to take in drinks with friends while watching the sunset. Besides, it's the perfect place to take a break from the cacophony of the French Quarter.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and I really enjoy the views. It's a cool rooftop bar inside of the Troubadour hotel. I really like coming on Fridays because there's a DJ and it's just a great way to relax after the work week. But beware, Fridays and Saturdays could get pretty crowded. I tried to go one Saturday and there was a wait list. I wasn't a huge fan of that, but I guess it's become a really popular spot in the city. And also beware of some of their prices. Their menu doesn't really have a variety, but it's okay for bar food I guess. But they have a pretty wide selection of drinks at the bar, you may just have to ask for certain drinks.

Yelp
Food/Drinks-4 Ambience-4.5 Service-5 Me and my friends decided to go out for drinks, and we picked the PERFECT night to go out. At first, we thought it was going to be a bust because the crowd was a little bit older than we expected. But, I'm so glad we stayed! They gave everyone a choice of a free drink, and we got a free beer because there was a Coor's representative there! The drinks were good and strong, despite it being free! I also had my signature drink--a mojito, of course! (A little bit overpriced, if I might add.) It's such a cute little place to hang, and the DJ was doing a good job as well. Turns out that all the people that were around our age were hanging out on the other side next to the DJ. Service was good, and I knocked a star down because the chicken looked unappetizing and the pretzels were overpriced. I'll definitely be back for another good time!

Yelp
Came here for a break from the French Quarter on a trip to NOLA and am glad I did! The views were very nice and they offer a variety of relaxing seating options. We arrived around 4 pm after a late brunch and caught a few cocktails and a warm breeze. I had the frozen drink of the day which seemed like a concoction of something citrus with hints of pineapple maybe? Nevertheless it was really good. The waitress was friendly and very attentive, the crowd was mixed and they had a high turnover so we had the chance to do a lot of people watching. On one side we saw a game of heads up and on the other side a group of girls celebrating a 21st birthday. No one was rowdy but the vibe was definitely lively. My only regret was coming too full from brunch to try the birthday cake dessert!

Yelp
Ingenue Lounge is the old Monkey Board Bar on the 17th floor of the Troubadour Hilton Hotel. It was disappointing  to learn that the bar is now under new management and the old staff is all gone. We stayed here one year ago and really enjoyed the drinks at the Monkey Board bar. It was a vibrant place with a great drink menu.  It was always crowded, even on a weekday and during Happy Hour. Well, we wanted to use our food/beverage credit for staying at the hotel, just as we did last year. First of all, no one was in the lounge at 6:30 PM on Thursday.  A few people came later, but still not many people when we left around 8:30 PM. While it was more crowded today, Saturday, there was also a DJ playing extremely loud music. It was impossible to carry on a conversation. The drink menu is limited and some listed were not available. I ordered the cocktail with  peanut butter and was told by the bar tender that they could not offer it because no kitchen to heat one of the ingredients. Then I ordered tequila and mango cocktail. The bartender filled the Old Fashion glass of my cocktail with so much ice that there's barely any room for the liquid. It was obvious that there were still liquid left in the shaker, but he stopped pouring because there was no more room for the liquid. Pretty pricey cocktail at $16! You get more for your money on cocktails at Commander's Palace!  The lounge was also very cold. There were 1-2 inch gaps between the windows. Definitely don't recommend this place, nor will we be returning to this place.
