Bad Bunny-Approved Burgers — And More D.C. Restaurant Openings to Know in December | Eater DC

"The upscale steakhouse born in Northern Virginia expanded to D.C. in early December, taking over the old Nama Ko space on upper 14th Street NW; dinner ($80) includes starters like wok-charred asparagus and luxe egg-yolk-topped steak tartare, plus mains (warm soups, chilled noodles, or fried rice) served with the restaurant’s starring American wagyu cuts, which will change with availability from the Midwest ranches it sources from." - Tierney Plumb

D.C. Finally Gets an Uber-Upscale Korean Barbecue Place | Eater DC

"Marbled cuts of American wagyu now sizzle on sleek marble tabletops in an expansive, elegant room at the northern tip of the U Street NW corridor, where trained servers handle the grilling so I can focus on the show and the artfully arranged panchan—kimchi, pickled veggies, and sweet-spicy ssamjang—hugging the grill’s glossy edges. Dinner centers on an $80 prix fixe (with lunch only on weekends) that starts with a seasonal welcome bite—currently a warm pumpkin porridge that shifts to New Year’s rice cakes—followed by one shared side per two (think wok-charred asparagus or mushrooms with garlic chips) and one shared appetizer per two (like egg-yolk-topped steak tartare or a thick scallion pancake with shrimp and greens under panko). Mains span warm soups, chilled noodles, or fried rice, paired with Midwest-sourced wagyu served in traditional order from leanest to richest—tri-tip, hanger, shortrib (galbi), and marinated zabuton—with cool fermented panchan to reset the palate between bites. Conceived as a special-occasion spot, hospitality is meticulous and intentional, bolstered by tight supplier relationships for better control of quality and aging, and beef whose characteristics are said to be closest to Hanwoo (Korean beef). The cool, minimalist design favors brass, walnut, granite, and marble, highlighted by a panoramic inlaid mother-of-pearl serpentine pine behind the bar—repurposed from the owner’s late grandmother’s armoire—while a larger 14th Street bar program leans into Korean-made gin and ingredients like jujube and yuzu. Not AYCE and decidedly less-is-more, it aims to elevate Korean steakhouse traditions and energize the neighborhood." - Evan Caplan

The Most Exciting D.C. Restaurant Openings to Look Forward to This Fall | Eater DC

"The upscale steakhouse born in Northern Virginia expands to D.C. inside the former Nama Ko space on 14th Street NW; while the Vienna original offers a la carte seafood like steamed mussels and salmon sashimi, those desiring a full experience can opt for prix fixe lunch and dinner options." - Tierney Plumb

Google
hands down one of the best Korean steakhouses i’ve ever been to. the quality of the meat was unreal, fresh, and grilled to perfection. our server Sean was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the night memorable. he walked us through the menu like a pro, nailed every recommendation, and timed everything flawlessly without ever feeling rushed. you can tell he really cares about the guest experience. can’t wait to come back!

Lovely new Korean steakhouse spot on 14th street. We went with the prix fixe menu, which came with multiple cuts of meat, great sides, and dessert. My favorite was the seafood soup! Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. And the service was truly remarkable. Can’t wait to go back!

A great place for drinks and a small bite or a full meal. Fantastic food and atmosphere. The staff was all very friendly and the bartender Ian went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. I am celiac and they were very accommodating. I will be going back in the future!

We came here for an early anniversary dinner and I could not be more pleased. I love Korean BBQ, but this was another level in terms of quality of beef cuts. We did the prix fixe dinner and the beef was truly melt in your mouth. I selected the corn cheese and added on the ssam to make lettuce wraps. The passion 5 was incredibly tart and delicious- I want to come back to the bar just for this drink! Our server Sean was awesome- the restaurant was new and he was great explaining everything and highlighted what I could and couldn’t have with my shellfish allergy. My partner and I can’t wait to come back for our next celebrations

Google
Really legit. The best Korean food in the District. We’ve been to the Tyson’s location, so we had a high bar, but this location is just as great and SO much more convenient for us. We did the lunch pre fixe and everything was just SO tasty! We chose the jjampong and the doenjang jiggae as our savory meals. Both were so good and so flavorful! I was surprised how large the jjampong was. Also the kimchi was really legit here too. The meat was all so tender and cooked perfectly (we request medium rare). We also added the ssam side for lettuce leaves to wrap the meat in. Finished with an iced americano! Note that dessert is an option between a drink or fruit, not both. Can’t ask for more. I was totally full and really happy about having a new great Korean restaurant in the area. I would come here just for the jjampong if I didn’t want to go for the whole bbq meats thing.

Great service and great food. We started with the oysters. The cheesy corn was light and fresh. The Jjamppong was hearty and comforting. The meats were melt-in-your-mouth tender, though I wasn't a fan of the Galbi flavor. The rice dessert was a perfect take on rice pudding. Highly recommend the prix fixe menu.

The interior was very beautiful and the food was amazing! The service was also very good. I have never been to this kind of fancy and elaborate Korean bbq restaurant! 👍

Google
A truly fail-proof Korean steakhouse — one of the best you can find in the U.S. In the DC area, it’s rare to find a Korean restaurant you can confidently recommend to anyone, which makes Ingle Korean Steakhouse especially refreshing and something to be proud of. The quality of the meat is outstanding, making it a place you can take anyone without hesitation. What sets Ingle apart is not just the food, but the space. Sitting at the bar, the beautiful mother-of-pearl artwork immediately draws your attention, perfectly blending traditional Korean aesthetics with modern sophistication. Unlike the Vienna location, this location also offers private dining rooms, making it an excellent choice for intimate gatherings and private events. Most of all, you can feel the owner’s thoughtfulness and dedication in every detail — from the cuisine to the atmosphere. Ingle is more than a Korean steakhouse; it’s a restaurant I’m genuinely proud to introduce in the U.S.

Yelp
I came here for a solo meal and got jjampong (small size) and corn cheese. It was really delicious and I am so excited that DC has a great jjampong place now!! The server was attentive and kind and side dishes were all delicious too.
