Ingrassia & Sons Italian Deli - Review - Wedgewood-Houston - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Ingrassia & Sons opens on the heels of All'antico Vinaio, and we welcome the friendly Italian sandwich competition. The chef worked at NYC fine dining spot Eleven Madison Park, so we’re expecting great things from the bread and pastries. The deli bakes two signature loaves every day that are used for sandwiches like The Godson with Italian cured meats, cheeses, and a triple threat of parm (chicken, eggplant, and meatball). We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Absolutely wonderful experience! I stopped into Ingrassia & Sons for lunch today, and it was such a special experience from the moment I walked in. The owner, John, personally came over to introduce himself and welcome me — and I noticed he did the same for every guest who came through the door. That warmth and hospitality made it feel like a true Italian experience. I ordered the chef’s special of the day — a rosemary ham sandwich — and it was absolutely incredible. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the balsamic onions? Stop it right now — they were amazing! Every bite was full of flavor and care. The food was outstanding, the service was kind and attentive, and the whole atmosphere just felt genuine and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back soon!

An absolute gem worth seeking out. From the warm welcome to the nostalgic jukebox and curated dry goods, every detail adds to the charm. I tried the chef’s special, a rosemary ham sandwich, and it was outstanding. Perfectly matched flavors, and the balsamic onions took it over the top. Service was kind and attentive, and the whole space feels effortlessly inviting. Can’t wait to return for the gelato and baked goods.

John, Pam and Jack have a truly delicious hit on their hands here in Nashville! We had the Godson and Porchetta sandwiches, both perfect, thanks in part of the in house baked bread. The Americanos were excellent as well. Looking forward to getting back there very soon. Highly recommended!

Google
Amazing service, atmosphere, food, and drinks. The Porchetta was great and the only place in Nash you can get a pork belly/should roast sandwiches. The eggplant sandwich is also great. Eggplant ain’t easy to cook well and they crush it. Ingrassia & Sons is easily one of the top sandwich spots in Nashville. They also had The Boss on the stereo 😎

The sandwiches here were on the pricy side, but worth every penny. We had the meatball sub and the chicken cutlet with prosciutto. It was also fun to explore the shop while we waited. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! I ordered the Sneaky Turkey and it was incredible! The coffee is on-point (Americano), service delightful, store gorgeous, and owner (John) friendly and outgoing. Do yourself a favor and srop by!

This place is LEGIT! As an Italian who moved from Chicago I dream of delis like this place and it hit the mark! We got the Italian turkey with pesto and the focaccia was so crispy, the sandwich made fresh right in front of us. You have to try this place!

Google
So delicious!! We got the sneaky turkey and the chicken cutlet and they were both amazing! The pesto on the turkey is fresh and flavorful and the tomato caper jam on the chicken cutlet is actually perfect!! I also got the tiramisu cold brew which was such a treat! The vibes inside are great - free jukebox!! So much fun! We met John today who was so kind and taught me how to select songs out of his own record collection on the jukebox! Just great vibes all around!! Can’t wait to go back again soon!

Yelp
Very cute and clean deli. The owner was out in the middle of the shop helping us pick out the best items and make sure we had everything we needed. Every was fresh and you can tell the bread was homemade with pure ingredients. Defiantly worth a stop if you are in the Nashville area!

Yelp
FINALLY - Wedgewood Houston has a decent lunch spot, and man is it addictive. It feels like a new Italian deli has been popping up every month this summer but Ingrassias really rises to the top of the pack for me with flavors that just punch through. The hype is very much well-deserved here. I've come a handful of times at this point and tried quite a bit of the menu. Hot take: the vegetarian sandwiches are some of the best items here and must not be slept on. The caponata sandwich has been my favorite: a perfect balance of acidic and just a bit sweet, layered with roasted and marinated veggies (eggplant, tomato, onions, and pine nuts) , fresh mozzarella, peppery arugula, and the most delightful surprise: potato chips for a sneaky for a sneaky crunch in every bite, hefted between some delicious, pillowy focaccia. I always get the eggplant sandwich with melted mozzarella, as almost a less heavy but just as flavorful take on an eggplant parm. I've also loved the chicken cutlet sandwich: crispy, salty thin & breaded chicken cutlet with tangy tomato sauce and the fixings! Dessert is also heavenly here. I simply cannot leave without at least the almond toffee crunch cookie but all the baked goods I've tried have been next level: creamy tiramisu, perfect olive oil cake. My only regret thus far is not having tried their homemade gelato, since it looks so good. I have yet to try the take-home deli items: classic pre-made Italian salads and ravioli in the freezer-case. There's a cute little market inside with classic Italian specialty items and a few cute knick knacks (like dog charcuterie! So adorable!) Casual seating inside, ideal for a quick lunch or one-or two people: a long shared table and some high-chair type seating against the windows. I've typically taken my sandwiches here to go. Most sandwiches run $16-18 and a half sandwich is pretty much a meal to me (get them with the delightful pesto-flavored potato chips sold in the store!) Parking is a slough in this area because of all of the construction, but I've managed to find street parking a couple blocks away on each visit just fine. Ingrassia's is already in my regular rotation, and I can't wait to keep working my way through the menu!

Yelp
This is a nice Italian Deli. The menu includes sandwiches, salads, coffee, and pastries. I tried The Godson Sandwich which is their version of an Italian sub. I made it spicy for an extra $2. The sandwich was tasty and appropriately messy. The bread was a bit hard but it was good. The sandwich was solid and almost worth the $20 I paid for it. The deli also sells olive oils and other Italian sundries. The owner, John, is friendly. The restaurant is clean and there is 1 long table and a counter to eat your food. You order the end of the deli and they call your number when your food is ready.

Yelp
Had a longer lunch break today and stopped into Ingrassia & Sons, the new Italian deli in WeHo. The space itself is stunning and beautifully designed with a classy market feel and nostalgic touches from history. With an open floor plan, you can see fully into the kitchen and shop around the deli market aisles. You head up to the register to order and are given a number they call out when it's ready. There is limited seating, but it's cozy and I chatted with a few people nearby. My sandwich was absolute perfection. Quality, flavor, and portion were all spot on. I had the Sneaky Turkey sandwich on focaccia, and it was hands down the best focaccia I've ever had in my life - salty, olive oily, and baked just right. It was packed with turkey, pesto, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, and stracciatella and I savored every bite and while I thought I'd save half for later, couldn't resist eating the whole thing! Parking in WeHo is always a bit tricky with all the construction, but I lucked out with a free street spot right out front. There's also a paid lot conveniently located behind the store. I'll definitely be back, my lunch outing felt like a true NYC vibe and I loved it.

Yelp
Is The Godson ($18) ordered spicy with Calabrian chili, cherry peppers and hot soppressata (extra $2) worth the $20 plus tip? Absolutely not. The bread was dry. And there should be about 6 oz more meat in there. But are they a nice addition to the 'hood & will I try a couple more things there? Absolutely.

Yelp
This Italian Deli is wonderful. The chicken cutlet is my favorite and not to be missed. Best focaccia in all of Nashville too. In fact, everything I had was top notch delicious. The market is also great and has things you will not find in your grocery stores. (and don't get me started on the Jukebox!) Food, Service, Vibe are all perfect.

Yelp
They've been open a week and I have already been twice. The first time I had the Eggplant sandwich on housemade Focaccia (Delicious!) and I kept thinking about it all week, so I just HAD to go back. I ordered it again to take home for our late lunch/early dinner, along with the Sneaky Italian Turkey sandwich, and OMG! SO GOOD!! Oh - and some Lemon Curd Cheesecake!!! and a really good latte! side note: The eggplant sandwich was wrapped so well it was still warm over an hour later when I finally got home with the goods :) They also have a nice selection of primo Italian groceries, a deli case with beautiful salads and veggies, pastries, gelato and I am sure I am forgetting something. The owner was helping expedite the busy lunchtime orders and walking around making sure everyone was happy and taken care of. The look is clean and crisp with a mix of old school charm and up to date flair. What a welcome addition to our Nashville Food Scene! May Ingrassia & Sons Live Long and Prosper!!

Yelp
The sandwiches are tasty but the portions are small for the price. There is a similar type of restaurant in Germantown that is less expensive with larger portions.

Yelp
Amazinggggg sandwiches! Wowww. Very very fresh and doesn't get better. They will close if ingredients run out but that's how it is with fresh places like this one. Highly recommend the Chicken Cutlet sandwich!

Yelp
BEST SANDWICH SHOP IN NASHVILLE HANDS DOWN Their "turkey sandwich" is one of the best I've had in my life, period. I was transported back to Italy. I'm not a sandwich person, but that was incredible They make their own bread AND brine their own turkey! It was crispy, layered, and full of flavor! The owner is the best and greets you every time you walk in. The coffee is amazing too and so is the tiramisu. It's small and cozy, great for lunch spot. They also make everything very quickly. Such a great addition to WeHo, will definitely be back

Yelp
This charming little deli and market is my new obsession. The focaccia is chewy, crispy and salty in all the right places. We had the turkey sandwich and the godson and both were mouth watering delicious. The pastries are to die for and if that's not enough, there's an entire deli case of salads and meats to take home. Loved all their retail items as well...will definitely be going back asap! So grateful for a much needed Italian deli in Nashville!

Yelp
Been anxiously anticipating the opening for this deli only to be left disappointed. They literally have enough items to make a handful of sandwiches and then they close down the whole store when they run out @ 1:00pm. It's also a market with shelves full of items, but clearly they are only sandwich focused and allow that to determine their hours. With this piss poor business model, not sure how long they will last. Weho peeps will not take to this well. Good luck, definitely lost our business.

Yelp
Great deli style restaurant and great food. It reminds me of a modern NY deli and the owner is always there with a smile.

Yelp
Our expectations were exceeded! The food was amazing and the customer service was equally as great. The owners were so kind and helpful. So happy to have a family owned spot like this in our neighborhood. We wait to come back!

Yelp
We are so excited this deli is open in the neighborhood! The space is so beautiful, the staff is so welcoming, and the food is beyond delicious. Our group got the Italian tuna, the ingrassia eggplant, the prosciutto, and the pulled pork, also the Caesar salad and the olive oil cake. Everything exceeded our expectations! Bonus points that they have a market, which is such an appreciated addition to the neighborhood. I have already studied the menu to plan for my next visit. Can't wait to eat there again!

Yelp
Unhelpful and un accommodating. I've been so excited to visit this place, but went today and left hungry and disappointed by terrible customer service. There was not a single vegetarian option, (the menu has one vegetarian sandwich that was sold out and when I asked what else they could make was told 'nothing'). I'd happily pay full price for a sandwich that comes with meat to make vegetarian but 'they don't do that'. What terrible business. My husband ordered one of their regular menu items and asked to remove peppers. They refused and said "he could pick them off." This is a sandwich shop not a 5 course meal, it's very common for people to have dietary restrictions or requests, it's not complicated to omit an item from a sandwich, confused by the terrible customer service and lack of interest in helping the customer have a sandwich they would enjoy. I wish I could recommend... but I can not.

Yelp
What a fabulous addition to the Nashville food scene! We went for lunch today and had a sneaky turkey sandwich and a prosciutto sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh focaccia and a sesame roll made onsite. Next time I want to try the eggplant sandwich which I watched being made and it looked mouth watering. Make sure to try the pistachio croissant and the olive oil cake too....they were superb.
