Inima

"In her small restaurant with an uncluttered interior (previously home to Cromagnon), young Moldavian-born chef Oxana Cretu (who originally came to Bordeaux as an au pair) gives free rein to her culinary imagination with a surprise menu. A perfectionist with a passion for food, she concocts dishes replete with Japanese influences: dauphine potatoes with buckwheat, black garlic and soy; matured trout with mashed macadamia nuts. Her dessert of meringue with strawberries from the Lot, Namelaka cream, lemon marmalade and jasmine sorbet is an unqualified success." - Michelin Inspector

Simply amazing food. Every dish was a triumph. Pace was slow. 30 mins from sitting down to amuse bouch (which was generous). 4 hours in total. But the food is fabulous.

Cozy ambiance, nice dishes and services. But expect to have your dinner of 7 courses in 3.5hrs which we don't recommend this restaurant. We waited for 2hrs for the 1st plate and then 45 mins for each presented later in the menu which definitely disrupted our experience. The restaurant wasn't too occupied but they prefer to serve the plates at the same time, to optimize the cost I guess. We noticed that our main dishes were served at the same time with at least 2 table which came 30mins and 1h after us. At this point, we find it is not faire because we have to deposit and even be charged if we don't present. But if the restaurant takes advantage to optimize their cost, we have no compensation.

Amazing experience dining here. We treated ourselves to an evening at Inima during our visit to Bordeaux, and it was, by far, the best meal we had in Bordeaux. Fresh and whimsical flavor profiles, beautiful presentations, and surprisingly reasonable prices compared to what you’d pay in the US for the same experience. Our wine pairing was also the best set of wines we tasted during our trip and really elevated the dishes themselves. The unexpected opportunity to meet Oxana was another highlight. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

An excellent address. The food was excellent and the service great. The quality exceeded the price. Definitely recommend.
