18 Best Wine Bars in San Francisco - Eater SF

"Sure, this small Italian restaurant and wine bar is a popular gathering place for the Cole Valley neighborhood — but it’s also a worthy destination for a causal date or afternoon outing regardless of where you live. Grab a table on the sidewalk or in the low-ceilinged dining room to peruse the list of about 30 Italian wines by the glass. Food options include pinsetta, pasta, and salads, and there are another 100 or so wines by the bottle to explore with a specific focus on selections from Piedmont and Sicily." - Lauren Saria, Eater Staff

My boyfriend and I stumbled on InoVino on a Friday evening. They have limited seating but we luckily didn’t need reservations to snag a table and got a spot of their outdoor patio. Our server was friendly, timely, and had recommendations for wine and food. We each got a glass of wine and shared one of their meat and cheese boards. I would be interested to try it again, but explore more of their food options. It was a fun way to kickoff the weekend 😋

Google
A hidden gem. The owner has curated a truly unique collection of wine, which is perfectly enhanced by the warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Their recommendations are always on point and the option for a 3oz pour makes it easy to try multiple new wines throughout the night—we always find a bottle or two to take home.

Google
InoVino is a disaster. The food is overpriced, and the service is appalling. It doesn’t even compete with the other Italian restaurant in the neighborhood, Bambino’s, which is significantly better. The food is nothing to write home about, the meatballs were bland, the pasta undercooked, the insalata has no depth. Portions were laughably small for the absurd prices they charge. There was at least a 25 min gap between our appetizers and entrees and the pinsa was served lukewarm. After receiving our bill, we noticed the “SF Mandates Employee Benefits” junk fee of 5% which is not required by law. We rightly deducted this from the tip, leaving a more than generous total of 17% for the quality of the service and restaurant. Apparently, that wasn’t enough for our server, who decided to confront us, yelling why we left a “10% tip”. Even if you do remove the fee portion, I’m not sure how he arrived upon this number. We calmly explained to him that we subtracted the tip based on the fee he charged us following which he again screamed at us to leave the restaurant and never come back again. Having a difference of opinion is ok, but screaming at your patrons and the toxic behavior which is evident from the replies the owner leaves on others’ reviews, makes me worried for others who visit this despicable restaurant. We’re certainly not missing out on being barred from this substandard place. I’m sure the owner’s inevitable unhinged reply will only reinforce what a dumpster fire this place truly is. Attached are images of our receipt and the food.

Google
Came here for happy hour and it was an absolute delight. They had great Mediterranean and Italian appetizers and an amazing wine collection. I have lived in this area for 7 years and never tried it. It’s always bustling, but seemed like a really high end and cozy restaurant, but truly it is homey and approachable.

Google
Sat down and it took them 15 minutes to even bring us a menu. In fact the only reason they brought us a menu is because we asked for one. After ordering, food took an incredibly long time to come. They gave us focaccia instead of sourdough which we asked for. The gnocchi was under seasoned. The rigatoni was over salted considering the guanciale which adds a lot of salt. The yakitori was overcooked by lamb and beef standards. To top it off, after asking for the rigatoni to have no cheese on top, it came with cheese! What a way to end it. The positives were that the pasta was cooked to a nice al dente and the bresaola was very good. Wines by the glass were reasonable. Appreciated the 3oz option for opportunity to try a few different wines.

Google
Great neighborhood spot in Cole Valley! Some of the best charcuterie boards in the city. The staff is always very welcoming when we come in and willing to give suggestions on their selection of Italian wines

Google
I came at 4:45 for the happy hour which lasted until 5. When we sat down and asked if we could have the happy hour menu they said it was too late. When we said that it wasnt 5 pm, the waitress laughed and left. I then ordered a small wine and was charged double for the big glass. Waitress was quite rude and standoffish. I dont think i would come back here.

Robert Kaestner

Google
SF Eater recommends this place. I do not know why. Small selection of wines by the glass and an offbeatcselection as well. While that may sometimes be good, we tasted 5 wines and none were very good. Thexservice was poor too. Tinned seafood is pricey. Best part of visit was the meat charcuterie. Not recommended, especially in a town full of good wine.

Yelp
InoVino made such a great impression on us when we popped in here after this year's Bay to Breakers, that when my partner asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday this year, InoVino was an easy choice. Unlike on race day, this time we came correct, with a reservation, and dressed the part for a night on the town. We were welcomed in by the staff and seated at our table. What we ordered: *Robiola 2 Latti cheese *Smoked oysters (2 orders) *Pesto pasta *Gnocchi All the food was absolutely delicious. The cheese is one of the best soft cheeses I've had. And I could eat that pesto pasta for three meals a day. I wish we had had dessert, but we were too satiated at that point. Next time. We've had their tiramisu before, and it is amazing. As far as the vino, I am entirely unfamiliar with Italian wines, but the staff is happy to make suggestions and let you taste until you find something you're happy with. After trying a few different wines, my partner and I settled on a couple of reds that we liked. As always, when we're enjoying a restaurant, we take our time. We were there for hours, and the staff never rushed us. We left very full and very happy. This is SUCH a sweet, romantic little spot, absolutely perfect for date night or an intimate celebration. I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday celebration here. Thank you for a lovely evening, InoVino!

Yelp
What a fantastic neighborhood spot in downtown San Francisco! I recently came here on a Sunday evening with some work colleagues and we split a little bit of everything - they were out of prosciutto, which we originally wanted to order a pizza with it - but everything we did try was remarkable! The brussel sprouts with truffle? I will never want to make brussel sprouts the same again! I also thoroughly enjoyed fried squash blossoms and the gnocchi. Service was absolutely excellent and I cannot wait to visit again when I am back in the Bay Area!

Yelp
Fun little wine bar This place is a great neighborhood spot. Great wine selection, friendly service. They were full when we arrived but the server found us a table within 15 minutes. We started off with the gnocchi which was packed with truffle flavor. Their pizza has a great quantity of toppings with a nice crispy and roasty flavor. Diavola had a nice spicy kick, but the salsiccia e broccolini was my fav. The amatricinia pasta was al dente in a flavorful sauce. The atmosphere is cozy and not too loud.

Yelp
Previous review had way to much Bay to Breakers comments. This one is more about the place. Another fantastic experience at Inovino. We arrived minutes before our reservation time and were promptly seated. We both started with the Ribolla Gialla Proseco for drinks and the tinned fish smoked oysters along with the Robiola 2 Latti cheese. We have had this cheese before and it is rememberable, hence, we had it again. Next up the Fusliil Al Pesto Genovese. My partner went with the Moscato wine while I hung out with the Sangiovese. The oysters were so good we did them again along with the Gnocchi Al Porcini e Spinaci. Again, we have had this before and here we are again. The wine selection changes here a lot so what you get tonight may not be here next month. The service is quick and friendly. Inside seats about 24 with an extra 4 at the bar. Outside there are about 14 seats. Dress accordingly for outside 'cause it does get cold. I think lots of neighborhood peoples converge on this spot. See people popping in just for a glass of wine and others for dinner. We had reservations as did others. Not so sure if was necessary but why chance it. Stellar place.

Yelp
Amazing wine bar in Cole Valley! Outdoor and indoor seating. Every time I drink wine & eat charcuterie, it brings me back to Spain & Italy where life moves more slowly. Excellent service, and good food & drinks. They have happy hour EVERY DAY (3-5 pm), I was there Saturday shocked that they had HH on a weekend. And it's 25% off EVERYTHING. Food & drinks 5/5: - single cheese charcuterie ($9 HH): nuts, side of jam, bread & cheese, simple & delicious - glass of red wine ($9.75 HH) - olives ($3.75) - side of prosciutto

Yelp
Stopped in after work for birthday celebrations with friends. As many times as I've been by over the years I hadn't been in. We got seated right away and it's really cute inside. It's cozy and intimate and has outdoor seating as well. Eric was our server and helpful with questions, friendly, and even brought out a bday dessert! We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and a cheese board. Everything was great and looked and tasted wonderful. Can't wait to come back and would love to try more of the food.

Yelp
Wine bar with a homey vibe and fantastic Italian food! Highly recommend InoVino! Ambiance & Service: The inside is small but well-spaced, giving it a rustic, wholesome feel. The service was excellent--attentive and relaxed! Food & Drink: - Orange Wine: We shared a bottle of their natural orange wine, which was wonderfully tart and not too sweet! - Cheese/Salami Board: They made us a delicious board with prosciutto and pecorino. The bread was soft and fluffy! - Rigatoni all' Amatriciana: This pasta was incredible! The sauce was savory and slightly spicy, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. TL;DR: Perfect wine bar for a relaxed happy hour or dinner. We loved the Orange Wine, Cheese/Salami Board, and Rigatoni!

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot. The staff here are a joy, they know their wine, really help you find a great glass or bottle to enjoy. The staff's energy is evident how they work the room and outside tables. The food compliments the wine, simple, savory and just a gem in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Feels like a European wine bar. Good HH deal. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good charcuterie with a great selection of cheese and meats. You can select which ones you want and create your own board. pasta or flatbreads also available for a larger meal.

Noah D.

Yelp
Very charming and cute hole in the wall Italian spot! We were immediately greeted by a kind and attentive server who was from Italy and made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. We ordered delicious spreads of meats and cheese, nuts, and the amazing picked cauliflower, carrots, onions, and bell peppers with whole star anise in the mix. While the meat and cheese board was out an order of stuffed squash blossoms came which was the perfect accompaniment with a side of tasty marinara. Next was a lamb ragout, porcini and black truffle gnocchi, and a spinach/ricotta pasta dish. We were ELATED. We capped the evening off with a delicious serving of tiramisu which was plenty to split among three (especially after tasing a considerable portion of the menu ) Great food, easy street parking, attentive servers , broad wine selection and terrific food! Will be back!

Yelp
After living in Cole Valley on and off for 20 plus years for years I have promoting this neighborhood place for friends as a destination in Cole valley for their wonderful wine list and food. However my most two recent interactions with the service manager has put such a bad taste in my mouth. I am not entirely sure why this person is in charge of front of the house with such appalling attitude and rudeness. Always a bit snippy, never friendly and most recently just outright rude. Recently when I asked if there was a table available even though there were several empty tables his response was no. And when I asked "is there a wait list" his response was "not that I know of". Just plain rude. Being that I still want to support this location business I asked how I would find out if there would be tables available and his response was "come back and check if you want to later". Ino Vino you disappointed me so much after years of being a regular customer. Just another sign of how our lovely neighborhood is changing for the worse.

Yelp
Cozy date night spot with delicious Italian wines and choice cheese and meat plates. We shared the truffle gnocchi which was exquisite-- service was wonderful. Inside seating is close and intimate but the overall vibe reminds you why you love little nooks in SF.

Yelp
InoVino is the neighborhood place for us in Cole Valley! They have an amazing wine list, a primarily Italian wines with something for every taste - light, refreshing, full bodied, or sparkling. Their food menu has also been revamped over the past couple of years - delicious cheese, plates, skewers, excellent pastas, and other snacks whether you want a full meal or just something to go with your wine. The service is always wonderful no matter who is on staff and it's easy to make friends with tables nearby. We've met a number of people in the neighborhood that we stay in touch with as the atmosphere just encourages sharing and good times.

Yelp
Aside from the food being a bit lukewarm, this place has a wonderful ambiance, very attentive staff and a great selection of delicious wines! I would recommend treating this like a wine bar and not a restaurant. If you do decide to order food, I would avoid the Rigatoni All' Amatriciana--it was disappointing for complete lack of flavor. Instead, I would pair the Butter & Sage Pasta with your wine if you want a light yummy snack.

Yelp
This is a local favorite for my wife and I. Their happy hour is great. Always new interesting wines to try. The margarita pizza is not your typical margarita pizza. It's thicker and rectangular. But still delicious. We usually get the herbed almonds. I like the pickled vegetables too. All are on the happy hour menu. The service is VERY nice. The place is tiny inside, but romantic. It's a great date spot. For dinner I recommend the gnocchi. It's pretty epic. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I came during one of their happy hours and it did not disappoint. As an aside, the hours of operation for their happy hour are very generous. The owner was very friendly and despite being one of two people in there when I visited, he was open to make conversation with anyone interested. I came to finish off my work but unfortunately they do not have wifi. This wasn't a huge issue though because the ambiance more than made up for it. The interior is moody, warm, and transports you out of San Francisco. A book would have made a perfect pairing, not a computer, for the setting. The food and wine were also amazing. The pizza I ordered was light and delicious with the beer crust on a pizza I've ever had. The crowd started to pick up right before their break so depending on the vibe you're looking for, I'd recommend going in the early afternoon for quiet and closer to closing for a lively environment.

Yelp
Nice little wine shop in the Cole Valley neighborhood. Came here on a Friday for happy hour, we got a couple glasses of wine, the squash blossoms and a margherita pizza. It was all tasty and the wine was good! Would definitely come back here. Good service too :)

Yelp
Mi Piace di morire. Love this place, I came for a friends' birthday. The owner is so passionate about his food. Lovely Atmosphere! The orange wine e delicioso!

Yelp
Quiet, lovely, and intimate space. Live close to this and see many locals also go here. Food is slightly on the pricier side but it is a wine bar, that's to be expected. Staff are always willing to answer any questions about the wine. They welcome you to try the wine too.

Yelp
Was very excited to try this place out due to the great reviews but I was underwhelmed. I would give it a 3.5/5. Ambiance - cure and romantic, dimly lit. However it is so small inside and the tables are placed very close together, making it tough to hear each other. It was also incredibly hot and stuffy when we went during the winter. Service - friendly and warm staff Food - we got the persimmon salad which was delicious; the broccolini was fresh and tasty, the red sauce pasta was good but nothing to rave about, and i personally would skip the pizzas (which were more like large fluffy flatbreads). Food was decent, but nothing special. Wine - i tried three different wines that were all recommended (a pinot noir, blend, and cab) but unfortunately didn't love any of them. That being said, it's nice that they do half pours of their wines which means you can try more!

Yelp
A gem find in Cole valley! If you can make it to happy hour, everyday from 3-5pm, it's so worth it! The happy hour menu has discounted appetizers, glasses of wine, mixed drinks, and pizzas. The servers are so friendly here and there's lots of seating outside to enjoy the nice weather. We order the San Daniele & Burrata Pinsette pizza -- it was so fresh and had a really nice rustic crunch. Pro tip: go early as it gets quite busy!

Lisa B.

Yelp
My husband and I used to like this restaurant, but I just walked in to see a woman with her little dog on her lap eating off of her charcuterie board. First of all - what is wrong with this woman that she would think this was ok? I do not want to be the one to eat off of a wooden charcuterie board after someone's dog has licked it clean. Second of all - what is wrong with the employees that no one asked her to stop letting her dog do this?!! I cannot believe how rude some people are. Really sad because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but we will never eat here again.

Yelp
Great pasta and pizza. The ambiance is cozy and charming here. I love the open concept of the kitchen and watching them cook. Indoor and outdoor seating. We got the rigatoni with red sauce and the salsiccia and broccolini pizza. Well priced for serving size. We walked in no reservation on a Saturday night @ 730. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I am very happy InoVino is within walking distance from my house. I have been there several times now over the last few years (both for wine and for a full meal) and have always had a positive experience. They have an extensive wine list and delicious, authentic Italian food (my favorites so far have been the charcuterie board and the Rigatoni all'Amatriciana). The interior is cozy and they have outdoor seating as well. Prices are reasonable (considering SF pricing).

Yelp
Great neighborhood place. The food is unassuming, but very tasty. The pizza slap w/ pesto drizzle!! Great service as well. Good on a summer day to sit outside and sip some vino.

Yelp
This wine bar is Cole Valley personified: local, charming, practical. My friend and I stopped by on a Sunday evening at 5:15 (barely missed the happy hour, which is everyday from 3-5pm) and were seated within 5 minutes even though the restaurant was quite packed with groups and couples. I ordered a 3oz pull of rose ($6!) and the portion was very sizeable (was pleasantly surprised--haven't yet gotten wine this inexpensive in SF at a non-happy hour price). We also shared the squash blossoms appetizer, which kind of just tasted like pizza but was still good. Ambiance of this place was amazing; will definitely be back to try their pastas!

Yelp
My low score review is about the service and the environment! I think we didn't receive a good service because our waiter, even though he was Italian like me, he was very disconnected and didn't take care of me and my friends very well (he never checked on us if everything was ok, he didn't serve us water when we didn't have it...)! Speaking about the environment, the restaurant was too loud! It's very small inside, but the music and the voices of people made us very uncomfortable. Fortunately our baby slept the entire dinner! I can't say anything bad about the food because it was good! We tried burrata with crostini, fiori di zucca (my least favorite because they lack of filling), gnocchetti alla sorrentina, girelle all'amatriciana, maccheroni with lamb, Pinsa with San Daniele prosciutto! Every dish was very good, but not big portion compared to the price! We also ordered the tiramisù to celebrate my husband birthday and it was just ok! One thing I found unfair and made me mad is that they counted the stroller as a 6 person! Unbelievable not because of the 20% tip, but my baby is an infant and she didn't consume anything! You can't say that she was occupying a seat like an adult! Even though the food and the wine we ordered was good, I don't think I wanna come back.

Yelp
Came here on Saturday at about 6 pm and got seated immediately. Good: I really liked the octopus dish since it was super unique - it really tasted like mozzarella cheese and had such a unique texture that I just found it super fun to eat and the tomato sauce it came with was very tasty too. The ambiance here is really date-like and unique, though it is on the smaller side so there isn't a lot of seating. The okay: The lamb pasta where was pretty good and had a really chewy noodle which I really liked. The lamb itself wasn't the best I've had. Bad: I thought that the pizza here was a bit blander in terms of taste and we had the stracciatella pizza which was quite unique but didn't really translate to the taste.

Laura C.

Yelp
Amazing and kind service, and great snacky foods that pair well with their wines. Perfect spot for yapping with some friends

Ari R.

Yelp
Really good wine selection including sparkling which is what I always order. I was impressed. Ordered the gnocchi which was excellent. The meatballs were just ok but still tasty. The artichokes passed by our table and they looked amazing and I will order those next time.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Service and vibe are nice but don't expect much from the food. $18 burrata that's significantly worse than what I can get at whole foods. Ravioli ok, nothing spectacular. I've been a few times and I really want to like it

Kevin W.

Yelp
Came in right before closing because my fiancee was craving Italian and something other than hospital food (we were at UCSF). The server and chef were nice enough to accommodate a takeout order and it def hit the spot!
google avatar

Mathew H.

Yelp
Food and wine were mid. Service was sparse, at best. If you order "a glass" of wine, they'll charge you the max amount, without clarifying. I thought I was ordering an $11 glass, but I was charged $22 for what tasted like Trader Joe's boxed wine.

Yelp
What a gem of a find ! David and Max front of the house are so warm and friendly and on top of it - absolutely no snobby pretense. The food is excellent thanks to Francisco and Carlos. They serve your vino in quality stemware per the varietal you are drinking even during happy hour. Everything is so clean and sparkling thanks to Roco. I especially like InoVino for the high quality worldly wines and the small intimate atmosphere that equals the neighborhood. I will definitely be back. Ps. To the owner Kari V - I tried to find a link on Yelp to contact you privately direct, but there was none. Please do your amazing stuff a service and update your website and Google with the proper happy hour times and anything else that needs to be adjusted - this will help your staff stay focused on their customers rather than dealing with frustrated customers which could lead to unfortunate reviews. Easy fix.

Steven L.

Yelp
While the food may be above average and the wine list as well came here on Monday 8/05/24 at 4 pm and they were closed. The website and yelp report the hours as happy hour being between 3 and 5. Someone was in the restaurant but refused to come out when a group of individuals were clearly waiting. It took 25 minutes for someone to come out to say they open at 5. Would love to get advanced warning. Walked down the street to Cole valley tavern where they are open at the stated time.

Matthew N.

Yelp
Open hours don't start at 3 like their menu says. They start at 5. Just letting y'all know. Strange since it says that their happy hour is supposed to be from 3-5. Happens I guess but it's a bit frustrating.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place, it's a nice, fairly fancy, fairly affordable place to like bring your parents when you're coming up to the city. Honestly it just feels like going to Italy for an evening, I always love going to this place. The food never disappoints.

Diadora W.

Yelp
The food portion was smaller than expected, especially considering the price. The service and interior was nice but I wouldn't say it was worth it.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for a new favorite happy hour spot since my previous one in my former neighborhood (barvale) closed, and I can confidently say Ino Vino in my new neighborhood of Cole Valley is the spot! Ino Vino is an Italian style wine bar with cute bistro style seating out front. Their happy hour is every day until 6pm, and features $7 glasses of wine and a variety of affordable bar bites. We arrived on a Friday around 4:30pm and were able to get seated right away out front. We got the red wine, and rosé to start with and their happy hour cheese plate + olives. The outdoor ambiance is very lovely and friendly, and we felt we had been transported to Europe. Also inside was very cute as well. The wines came out in these gorgeous glasses (each unique to the wine), which added to the experience even more. You could tell the wine list was very well tailored. Our cheese plate came out and we were also so impressed by the presentation, esp for a $5 dish. It was served with delicious focaccia, honey and apples. The olives were very unique as well, with what tasted to be orange zest and anise. We were so loving our experience and the prices, we actually ordered 2 more wine glasses- a sparkling wine and a white wine from the happy hour menu (backwards I know). These were also delicious in great glasses. We were very happy we got there when we did as the line for a table began around 4:50 and continued to increase from there. When our meal wrapped up the check (before tip) was $42- for 4 glasses of wine and 2 appetizers. Very reasonable for SF! Such an awesome spot. I will certainly be back on the regular!

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner outside at Ino Vino. The waiter was very attentive even though he was the only person serving all the tables and was very busy. They have an excellent wine selection and the food is delicious. Just a great neighborhood restaurant!

Yelp
Came couple times for happy hour. Decent happy hour food/drink and reasonable price. Outside seating on sidewalk. SF can get windy. Half the seatings get heat lamp.

Yelp
Happy hour here's great (and available on weekends!!), I was impressed with the food, service, and ambiance. The inside's pretty small but doesn't feel cramped, and the wall is decorated with rows and rows of wine bottles. Ideal place for date night, or just to catch up with a friend. Our group of 4 ordered the cheese platter, margherita pizza, brussel sprouts, and wine. The cheese platter comes with soft+hard cheese, apple slices, bread, honey, and nuts - really great. Pizza and brussel sprouts were prepared well and flavors were good. I don't drink, but I've heard their wine is good too. Definitely a new favorite spot in Cole!

Yelp
We needed pasta and were pleasantly surprised by this joint. Pasta was amazing wine selection was off the rocks. Prosciutto pizza was delightful. Atmosphere atmosphere atmosphere! This reminded me of traditional Sicilian food that my grandmother would make. Minus the pizza, she didn't make that. Lol.

Yelp
This place is an absolute neighborhood gem! The only reason I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it is inconsistent during Happy Hour. In late July, I went with two friends and had the best dry sparkling rose and spritz - appetizers were all wonderful. Today, the sparkling rose on the happy hour menu was $12. I really don't mind paying more because "it's organic and bio-dynamic", but I felt I was drinking a grapefuit juice. The crostini with burrata were not good because the burrata was cold and not at ambiant temperature. I think the staff was not the same as usual and the overall menu was completely off. It's such a great place... I hope it comes back to where it was back during the Summer.

Yelp
It was one of the boys birthdays and he arranged for a pre-dinner happy hour at InoVino. He was the first one there, so luckily was able to order a bunch of things from the HH menu. I was the second to arrive on Friday, March 23rd around 6pm. He was already sitting at the tiny bar in front of the kitchen. Happy Hour: Monday to Friday 4pm to 6pm and Saturday to Sunday 3pm to 6pm *2014 Chianti Rufina, Bascianp, Toscana ($7) *2014 Primitivo Poggio Basso, Pugilia ($7) x3 *Chicken Liver Pate on Bruschetta ($7) *Grana Padano Cheese, Honey, Walnut Bread ($5) *Pizzetta Salame & Parmigiano ($8) *Pizzetta Margherita ($7) I got the the glass of primitivo. I tried the chianti first, so I liked my glass a lot more. I'm into more full bodied cabs, so it was more my style. The liver pate was delish! My favorite food item we ordered. And there was a good amount of liver on each piece of bread. The margherita pizza was also tasty. I like a thinner crust, so this was definitely more my style. Not super thin as it retained a chew. Good amount of cheese and basil sauce too. I didn't try the grana padano as I'm more of a soft cheese girl. And everyone seemed to enjoy the salami pizza. *Burrata: distefano burrata, balsamico, crostini ($10) *2013 Madego, Cabernet Blend, La Capuccina, Veneto ($47) After HH was over, we ordered a bottle of wine. I asked our server what she would recommend and she suggested the madego. I should have mentioned I had the primitivo beforehand as I found this bottle very light after drinking the HH glass. The burrata was good though. Nice and creamy. Definitely more up my alley in terms of cheese. A fun neighborhood wine bar. Very tiny as it was packed when I got here. And there's only one restroom! Get here early if you want to guarantee yourself a seat!

Yelp
This place is unreal. So delicious, amazing service. You can't go wrong with their menu, their pastas are cooked so well. The servers are also very knowledgeable about their menu and what's in season. Probably my favorite Italian place so far.

Yelp
We went here to celebrate a family event. After seeing great Yelp reviews we were excited to try this place. Found the ambience to be very poor. Cheap uncomfortable metal chairs and flimsy tables all crowded in a small space no bigger than 14'x12'. Regarding the Food - The menu has exactly 4 pasta items and 4 pizza items and some bread appetizers. 90% of the items are vegetarian. The problems with the food is a) The portions are super small (as compared to standard American restaurants), b) Taste of the food is a low end of mediocre and here's the kicker c) Dishes are priced upwards of 19$ for a super tiny portion. I ordered a lamb pasta dish and I got an overload of salt. Regarding drinks, a glass of cheapest red wine will cost you 18$. The cheapest wine bottle is upwards of 40$. Wine caused a headache in 3 of the family members which typically happens with poor quality wines. Overall this place is attempting to sell itself as an exclusive Italian wine bar for purists but unfortunately it's nothing but a waste of your time & money.
