Insomnia Cookies

I recently visited the Insomnia Cookies location near Wayne State for a pickup order, having checked the menu online beforehand. As is typical for Insomnia, the cookies were warm, delicious, and exactly the late-night treat I was craving. The speed and quality of the product itself are consistently excellent. However, the in-store experience was significantly confusing due to a discrepancy between the online and physical menus. I intended to purchase the 9-pack of cookies, which is clearly listed as an option on the website and external ordering platforms. Upon arriving at the counter, I found that the 9-pack was not displayed on the physical in-store menu board. I was told by the staff that I would need to choose either the 6-pack or the 12-pack. This forced me to upgrade to the 12-pack, resulting in an unnecessary extra purchase when I only wanted nine cookies. While the extra cookies are certainly not a bad thing, it's frustrating to be compelled to spend more than intended for a package size that should have been available based on the brand's standard offerings. **If you know exactly what you want, like the 9-pack, be aware that you might not see it on the menu board when you go inside. To avoid this unexpected upsize, it's best to place your full order and pay for it online for pickup before heading to the store.

We came here because of the vegan cookies but we tried a variety. We ordered a chocolate chunk, a chocolate chunk vegan and a Reese peanut butter cup cookie as well. The two chocolate chunk cookies were simply incredible. The peanut butter cup one was a crumbly mess so I couldn't give Insomnia the 5/5 I thought it deserved. We'll be back for more at some point. Great cookies. Service was also fantastic. 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

On January 2nd we placed a delivery order directly on the Insomnia website. We waited 45 minutes for the driver to pull up and pull off. We have video of the incident happening. When I called and spoke with the manager his response was he can just refund the order. No explanation! No apology! I will be contacting corporate to discuss the inconvenience of this situation.

Definitely beats Crumbl! The establishment was located near Wayne state...they kept everything clean clear and organized. The staff was really helpful, friendly and nice. The cookies themselves were flavorful and creative. Always love coming here when in the area and will be back soon. Highly recommend to all.

I’ve heard only good things about Insomnia Cookies so I decided to give it a try on my lunch break today. And let’s just say, it’s a good thing that I stay a good jump from here. These cookies are so good! Placed my order online because I know parking downtown is a pain. Was greeted with a smile and my order was ready upon arrival. I got the 6 pack and though it’s pricey, it’s worth it for a good treat every now and then. I tried a couple cookies in the car and had to stop myself from devouring them all. I received them warm and they were still soft later in the day when I finished them off lol but these are some darn good cookies! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My very 1st time ordering from here was great.. ordered today and wow what a let down.. had the kids over my house and we were all disappointed.. some cookies looked extra small and they tasted reheated.. todays batch definitely wasn't fresh.. they were stale.. hard and a little cold.. I thought I found my new cookie spot

First time coming here, if you are into sweets , this is a nice late night spot to get sweets from. Made to order , and they also have ice cream! Try it, you wont be disappointed

Cookies are good, but I just paid $22 for a 6 pack plus 1 extra cookies, ordered in the app for pickup, but when I got back to my dorm room after picking it up and opened the box, I found only 4 cookies, and was missing the peanut butter chip cookie, the chocolate chunk rookie, and the chocolate chunk blonde that were also in my order. Normally you do such a great job. What happened to make it so that I am missing 3 of my 7 items?

I'm going to give away my age here by saying this, but I remember the first time I had Insomnia Cookies-back when they first opened up at MSU. It was incredible then...so imagine my delight to learn that there was a franchise here in the city, just a little bit away from home for me yet again? To say I was happy would be an understatement! These fine folks have done an excellent job every single time I've ordered from them, and I have made some exceedingly large orders here (occasionally I'm nice and bring cookies in for my colleagues.) The cookies are always warm, fresh, and taste delicious. They do not miss. I love to bake, and I have to say that they easily put just about any cookie I've ever made to shame. They get it right every single time. The shop is clean and the service is swift; the delivery is top notch. I absolutely recommend this branch of Insomnia Cookies for your sugary, dopamine fix.

What cookies hot and fresh early morning after a long night of partying!!! Yes I will take these right now. The ladies were still full of energy at the break of dawn the crowd that was in the restaurant was bubbly and probably a little under the influence. I happened to be getting my daughter settled in on the campus saw the lights on and walked across the street yes indeed insomnia cookies for the win.

Clean place service was amazing and quick and baby my Cookies was so fresh and warm I love them to pieces and will always double back.

Good freshly baked cookies at any time of the day. A great variety to choose from but very over priced.

These are the best cookies ever and should you decide to get a scoop of ice cream on top, you'll be floating on air when you finish it. Sure these are like a million calories, but, treat yourself! They have an app with rewards, too! This is an in and out type of place so be prepared to grab your treats and go. The service is pretty fast also, so they won't take up all of your day.

I got the brownie and ice cream...delectable. going to sleep wit a smile on my face. The brownie was warm and the ice cream wasn't melted. Ayyyyeeee

Love the chocolate chunk cookies. Simple place with small stools for eating ice cream. The service is prompt and accomodating.

On an evening out with the boys, what else are you supposed to do but get some cookies? We ordered a half dozen, I got the macadamia nut and it was excellent. The place was very busy but the staff moved through everyone quickly. The location seems perfect to stay busy at all hours of the day. It's a very inviting and playful looking spot on the inside. But none of that would matter if the sugar wasn't tickling your tastebuds. The cookies are amazing and I always thought Crumbl made the best, but this might be a very worthy challenger.

Cookies are always fresh!!! I would definitely recommend ordering from this location! And the service is always on time

In the world of gourmet cookies, Insomnia's price is decent, I love that they serve the cookies warm and that they are open late night is a plus. However I tried two times and both times I felt something was missing in the taste. Sweet but not the cookie sweet I was hoping for. It's not a place I will go out of my way for if I want cookies however If you like warm, gooey cookies I encourage you to give them a try.

Love these cookies better than Crumble! One person in the group is gluten free and no Almond flour, and they had a cookie for her. She ate the whole cookie before we left the store! They were warm and amazing. I liked they were open late.

Well let's start with these cookies are amazing they lived up to all the hype behind them lol hot fresh soft homemade cookies my only issue is I wish all the cookies where labeled so I knew what was what could not tell the difference between the vegan chocolate chip cookies and the regular chocolate chip cookies lol however all in all these cookies are the best cookies I've ever had in Michigan you will not be disappointed that's a promise run don't walk to this location get some of these yummy in my tummy cookie's asap also they have different kinds of milk I'm lactose intolerant so know for but feel free to try those to

My order was up when they say it was gonna be up.and To me that's huge. And also they have the freshest tasting ice cream and their cookies are always warm!

Order online for easy in/out! They do not take cash so have your card ready if you are ordering inside. The snickerdoodle brings me life! I also enjoy the peanut butter chip Im not a huge chocolate fan so the triple chocolate chip is just ok but my neighbor said it was "Bussin', Bussin'!" LOL. These cookies are served warm. I can only eat one and they keep very well in the wax paper (extra charge but worth it to keep my cookies from getting stale. Customer service was pretty good. It was not busy at 6:45pm. Shop was impeccably clean. I have no complaints.

Where should I start??? Yesterday, 8/2/22, was my 2nd visit to Insomnia Cookies. When you walk into the building the delicious aroma entangles you and even if you wanted to walk out you could not! The cookies are really delicious. I was eating one of the chocolate chip cookies and trying to figure out what made it so good. The chocolate chips morsels are very good! My husband also enjoys them. Of the ones I've actually eaten I think the peanut butter and the oatmeal tie for 1st place!!! I encourage anyone who has not had them to try them!!!

We loved the Triple Chocolate Deluxe cookie. It was large, warm and gooey. It was perfect to share with my wife. The wait staff was very friendly and patient. We will definitely visit the next time we are at Wayne State.

Great cookies but the customer service was not the best. I walked in and was not greeted. The girl had ice cream in her hand. I thought she would of spoke after getting the lid off the ice cream. She never spoke instead she said "I need someone to come here and help with this." I do not know if she was referring to me as "this" or just helping at the counter. I understand the people working are most likely college students but it is not that hard to speak. You should not be working with people if you can't speak.

Service is great! But their vegan cookies are not worth the price, don't get me wrong the cookie was sweet and soft but not crave worthy. Their attempt at a vegan cookie is admirable because I have had my share of horrible vegan cookies and I don't mind paying more for vegan anything however these cookies are just too pricey in my humble opinion.

Great cookies and wonderful staff. The variety of cookies and Ice cream are wonderful. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating!

I finally got a friend to visit and he decided to try their cookie bites. They were about half gone by the time he got home. I warned him that their cookies are good.

Cookies were terrible at this location. They were stale and gave me heartburn. I have been to many of these locations throughout the US and was really disappointed here

The cookies are very expensive, (at approximately $2 EACH) it is not that I cannot afford the experience(which was average at best); however for the type of hype surrounding the brand I expected a little more pizzazz- less than 100 ft away (at 7/11) I can get the same thing with a price tag of 2/$1. I am aware that Location is dictating the upcharge (gentrification at its best)

I was told Insomnia Cookies won't accommodate people with peanut allergies. Before I decided to listen to hearsay, I wrote them. The response I received back was they do not accommodate people with peanut allergies, I should avoid going. I find this very interesting considering they have vegan and gluten free options. Although I am not allergic to peanuts, many of my family members are. Because of their stand on peanuts, we have decided not to patronize this company. My email has been shared on social media.

Cookies were sooo good! They were fresh, hot & quick service! Such a cute spot, def will be back many times!
