DIRT!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The cookies were good but didn't have any premium only classic! I've been to several locations and this is the only 4 star review. 💚💯💯

Just yum! Cookies are always fresh and hot, packaged carefully and perfectly. What I love most is that they feel and taste like home baked cookies from Grandmas kitchen :) The staff is always so super nice! Thank you!!!

So let me start off by saying that the quality of the cookies is incredible. I’ve had all of their permanent deluxe cookies and they are always great quality. My deduction of a star comes from this particular location. The most recent time I went in there (12/3/22) the girl working behind the counter was clearly high as a kite. The location also did not have their seasonal/limited edition cookies even though they advertised having them online and IN THE STORE. I highly recommend their deluxe chocolate chunk, deluxe salted caramel, and deluxe confetti. All amazing. Soft and gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside. Will still go back even though the location itself irritated me.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! The white boy employee with glasses gave us this for a pint. $11. DONT COME HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

This review is specifically about the delivery experience and the quality of the cookies. The order was left on my porch on my doormat, in front of a loveseat that I have on the porch. It would have made more sense to place the box on the seat rather than leave it on the ground where bugs and animals could get to it. Luckily, I also have a camera that notified me of their arrival because the delivery driver did not ring the doorbell, nor did she think to knock either. When we opened the box, the cookies were smashed into one melted pile of undercooked cookies and brownies on one side of the box. My son, who ordered these cookies as a surprise for his dad on Father’s Day, was so disappointed in the condition of this order, and the quality of this product. He feels like this was such a waste of his nearly $40 spent, which included a generous tip. Insomnia Cookies is lucky they were open today instead of Crumbl because we would have spent less for higher quality cookies and service at Crumbl in East Lansing.

The cookies are not even soft especially since I just spent $20 for five cookies and one brownie I am extremely disappointed. so is my daughter I thought it would be a fun thing to get fancy cookies. Lame. Overrated and over priced! Won't let me add pics but they're so hard. Look nothing like advertised.

Every time I have gotten insomnia cookies, the cookies have tasted delicious. However, I would not recommend ordering delivery from this location. The last time I ordered, the cookies were 15 minutes late, and this most recent order, 25 minutes late even though I ordered an hour ahead. The cookies were not warm by this time either.

First time here & it was late night. My cookies were fresh and chewy. I got Red Velvet, snickerdoodle, salted caramel, peanut butter & vegan birthday cake. A half dozen was a great choice for first timers. Customer service was nice as well.

Insomnia Cookies is currently running a promotion where 2023 graduates can get a 6 pack of classic cookies with a purchase of $5 or more through June 18th, 2023. I ordered a customizable loaded brownie with cream cheese frosting and cookie dough bites. It was very filling! I would like to try the brookie version next time. My favorite cookie from the pack was the snickerdoodle one. The cookies are served warm. It's hard to eat just one LOL. There isn't any indoor seating, but there are a few outdoor tables. There is also free 15 minute parking in the lot directly across the street if you're wanting to pick some up quick to take home!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This was my first time visiting this location and i was having a hard time ordering,the cashier had zero patience when my friends and I were ordering, and handed us with passive aggressiveness, the salted caramel cookie was undercooked. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Do not recommend, first time trying this place and last time. Wrong deluxe cookie, I received a chocolate chip that was completely hard and burnt, The ice cream was not good, The place was clean looking and the people were friendly and nice. Maybe I went on the wrong day but it was not a place I would go back too.

Not the biggest cookie fan in general but, I was craving something sweet after dinner. First time trying the cookies and they didn't disappoint. I have tried different flavors and they are all pretty good. I do think they are a bit pricey but it doesn't bother me. If you try to go in the evening, some flavors might be sold out. I never really had an issue with the quality of the cookie as other people suggest. Must try spot specially if you are near MSU!

We ordered a cookie cake for 8:00PM and when we get there, the girl proceeds to tell us it won't be ready for another 40 minutes (bare in mind, they weren't even busy). The girl clearly had no idea about our order and now we have to wait for an order that should've been ready. No discount, no offers to make it up to us, nothing. Just a blank look saying "sorry" They were lazy and obviously didn't care. crumble cookie is just better. Their service is faster and staff are efficient. Don't waste your time. Update: we went to go get it, still wasn't ready and all we got was sass from another worker. No compensation because they had 25 DoorDash orders and one worker was sitting on his phone in the back.

We have gotten cookies from Insomnia several times. The cookies are tasty and arrive somewhat warm. Most recently,however, the cookies that were delivered looked like they should have been rejects-- the cookies were of various sizes (some just half as big as others) and a number were badly shaped (ie nowhere near round). Quality control was lacking which doesn't seem acceptable for the price of the cookies. Still, the white chocolate macadamia were yummy.

Great cookies but I have an issue with delivery. Even though they ask for a room number, they just leave the cookies outside the building when they deliver it! And no notification for the student when it gets there so anyone can take it. This should be noted on their website. I most likely won't order again.

I specifically asked for fresh cookies b/c I like them soft. The worker stated she just baked them. These cookies were way overdone and hard as a ROCK! I would have waited 10 minutes or would have preferred honestly if they didn't have any at the time. Completely disappointing since I drove 20 minutes and parking is not ideal in East Lansing. It makes it extremely difficult when you can't get ahold of anyone then LIE again in emails-whoever trained these ppl skipped the moral and integrity section on purpose. They do not care about their customers or own up to ANY type of accountability when inconveniencing people. They have misinformation in-store and customer service emails-what a JOKE of a company-does anyone know anything anymore or is everyone a straight-up liar?!

Stopped in to order 4 dozen cookies. When I told the scruffy guy behind the counter that, he said it would be 30-45 minutes. Had he stopped there he would have made a sale. Instead he lectured me about how busy he is and how things work around there. When I called him out for his attitude he got very apologetic and told me it's because he's used to dealing with college kids. I'm not sure how being rude to your largest customer base was supposed to make me feel better. He lost a big sale today and more in the future.

Way understaffed and really bad service. Staff was very stressed and rude. Had to leave without our online order with no way to cancel after a 45 minute wait. Out $25 dollars.

my orders are wrong more often than not. the East Lansing location is terrible. then they don't want to fix their mistakes. it's too bad I keep trying because the cookies are good. but I'm done. thank god we got a crumble now.

My boyfriend convinced me to try insomnia cookies for the first time ever a couple weeks ago and the cookies were great but the prices felt super high. I also wasn't crazy about the brownie/cookie dough bites on the brownie and will probably stick to cookies if we order again in the future. My favorite cookies were the mint chocolate and salted caramel ones.

I love cookies so when I was visiting I decided to stop by. I got the classic chocolate chip cookie and to be honest it was alright. Now worth the price. It tastes like store bought cookie dough you can put into the oven and make. Also it was a small cookie. I also got the ice cream cookie combo which was really good. The ice cream nicely melted with the warm cookie. I also got the regular mint chocolate chip ice cream which had a huge scoop and okay. Overall the place was nice just not worth the price.

I never heard of Insomnia cookies until I saw it today. I thought it would be similar to another cookie shop but the cookies are regular size. The smell of the cookies hit me as soon as the door opened. I walked right in and someone came quickly from the back to take my order. They were patient with me as I figured out what I wanted. I wanted to try the two featured flavors, berry hibiscus and lemon poppy seed but they were out of the berry hibiscus. The lemon poppy seed was bigger than the other classic cookies I chose. All of the cookies I ordered are in one of the attached pictures. They were soft and warm. The flavors were right on. They were all out of ice cream so I didn't get to try it. I would try it again.

Cookies looked good at first but after breaking one apart they were so raw I had to put them back in the oven. Yikes

They have the most amazing cookies! It's worth the wait ordering from the app and waiting for the pickup or delivery. I love the deluxe cookies

Went by 6/30 at around 12:20am after I got off work and they were closed!! Apple Maps says they close at 1 and on the app it says they are open!!! Really upset about this :(

Uh... it's 5:41pm.. did no one decide to show up to work today? There's no we are closed for the day sign, nothing.

I've never had insomnia a cookies and was completely dissatisfied with my experience. First, I was given 15 minute wait for my cookies (I can wait) BUT then they dropped all the cookies and it was an additional 10 minutes!! Then my cookies were not cookies all the way like at all!!! So sad );

Been waiting for 90 mins for their delivery! Terrible service ! They have their own deliveries through grubhub! A complete waste of time ! Why isn't here a 0 star option

There cookies are hit or miss. I'd say if you want fresh cookies don't pay in advance so they have to make u a fresh batch. My last order of insomnia cookies was so hard I could barely bite into it . Today i placed my order and prepaid, then called to ensure that couokie order wouod be a fresh batch. The female that answered the phone states she would not be making another batch of cookies as the ones intended for me were made at 6pm when she started her shift. Mind you, it was 740 at the time I ordered. She stated they had been kept in the warmer and were fresh. As suspected the cookies were stale and hard as the last time . Now I know not to order unless I'm buying a fresh batch. I just paid 17$ for some rocks.

My husband and I tried this place by accident and we are happy we did! Delicious cookies very moist and warm! Definitely coming back!

Yummy special treat. They have window seating with high stools only. But you can window watch people. There's a public bathroom. So good when you go in. Cookies were warm and fresh. Ice cream was ok. Not many choices. The birthday cake ice cream was dangerously good. Macadamia nut cookies were awesome

Traveled from Charlotte to lansing cookies, didn't realize it was cash only. We turned around to leave and the employee stopped us and said he wanted to put for our cookies and we just gave him the money instead. My two toddlers are very happy! Thank you!!

They don't wash their hands or wear gloves. They have protective walls and shields, and even paperless...but when it comes to packing their product...they dont care about protecting the consumer at all. They rather you leave and simply washing hands.

Alright, I'm fair. I'm really fair. But this place earns a 5 stars. The girl working behind the counter, yeah, the blonde one, she was cool. Really cute too. I left her a tip. I figured because the line was out the door, I wasn't going to get my cookie warm, or the ice cream would start to melt before I received it. But no. The cookie was warm asf, the ice cream hadn't melted yet, and I got it in less than a minute. I was thoroughly impressed. I would really like to see if Insomnia could get more people behind the counter, maybe adding two registers. I think it would help the business. Just a thought. But the cookies, definitely a hands down good treat for the family or a great date-stop before going across the street to Pinball Pete's. Hands down clapping.

I had never heard of Insomnia Cookies before I came to East Lansing, so I was completely unaware that they are a franchise. Husband's co-worker is a big fan of these, and repeatedly recommended to him to check it out. We finally got our chance recently, and I enjoyed them, but I wasn't all that crazy about them either. Don't get me wrong, they were good cookies. They tasted great, though a bit too sweet for us (especially the S'mores deluxe cookie, but the Snickerdoodle was better). I liked that their novelty is a simple one - served fresh and warm out of the oven, and they deliver to all the starving college students and patrons alike until 3am! However, that's pretty much where the brand has its point of difference. For two cookies, we spent around $5 after taxes, and they weren't even that big (probably about 3"-4" in diameter). It's not like that they use inventive techniques or special ingredients to warrant the price, so I didn't think it was really worth it. Also, not like it pertains to me, but what about the gluten sensitive individuals? It would be such a huge bummer if you were at a party and everybody was munching away, and you couldn't just because they didn't offer it. I'd still come here if I were in the area for an occasion treat, but it's not something I'd come out of my way for. Next time, we'd probably stick with 1 cookie and split it. Oh, and don't forget to enter your name for a free box of cookies!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Every time I have the chance I grab a cookie. It's delicious and warm which is just perfect. Unfortunately sometimes it's hard to get a cookie because of the location and how hard it is to park. But if you do get the chance go for it all the way. Also the prices are great and the service is fast. Next time I will be for sure trying there ice cream and other delicious treats.

Uummm.. cookies delivered? Best idea ever!! I wish there were more stores so when I was at a friends house we could get them deliver to, but I love when I have a late night sweet tooth and I don't have to go out! Every one that delivers as well is always super nice!

This is the worst location to ever order cookies from! If you expecting cookies to be delivered on time don't....they were back up for deliveries for 2+ hours yet failed to notify me! So I was patiently waiting for an order that never came. I had to PHYSICALLY go into their store to find out what was wrong because they don't answer the phone (come to find out that this location doesn't even have a phone). Never order from here.

Where has Insomnia cookies been all my life?! The snickerdoodle and chocolate chunk are the best. Not too sweet or rich - which is perfect!! We ordered a box to go and they're still good the next couple of days after. Will dock one star cause they're pricey for cookies but amazing nonetheless!

Insomnia Cookies makes the best desserts in the East Lansing area! The employees are friendly and kind. The best part is that they are open until 3AM for late-night cravings, and also offer delivery. The company also has an app that everyone should download because you can get rewards points for every purchase and earn free cookies! My favorite item is the cookiewich, which is two delicious cookies with ice cream in the middle. It's the perfect mix of warm and cold!

Delicious. I am all for the original chocolate chip cookies. They do such a great job here and have wonderful delivery services for late night munchies. The cookies can be expensive, but if you look for deals or buy in bulk it makes a lot more sense.

When you're busting your butt studying in the library, what do you do? Call Insomnia! Yes, Insomnia cookies make the warmest and bestest cookies any college student could ask for. It's like coming home and mom's baked some treats for you to engulf. You can easily place an order online, or walk to them (next to Taco Bell) and they will get you your cookie! Yes, it sounds weird to want cookies, but if you're craving something sweet and something open late to just quench your cravings for something...they should be your dessert dial! I have not been there in about 2 years, but when I drive past, I can't help my drool a little. :)

Oh Insomnia Cookies...how I love to skive off of work and walk over to Stucchi's on State St. and partake of a delicious, gooey, scrumptious cookie treat. My faves: S'more - pure sugar high, you will be vibrating but blissful. M-n-M - yep, the familiar candy in buttery dough Peanut Butter cup - I usually hate peanut cookies, but these are grand I must stop writing now, am getting a craving.

I've never really understood or gotten 'into' the whole cupcake craze.. but cookies, now that I can get behind! Quite frankly, I am surprised there is not more stores/franchises specializing in cookies (besides Mrs Fields) because, well.. Because cookies, that's why. Right in the middle of campus on Grand River, Isomnia is open until 3am every day. I have a feeling they cater to plenty of drunk/non drunk people's mad midnight cravings. Cookies are a reasonable $1.35 each, $2.50 for the beefier 'specialty' cookies. We have ordered quite the sampling on our visit (for reporting back to Yelp purposes, of course). White Chocolate chip macademia, chocolate chunk, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin and chocolate mint chip. Favorites were the chocolate/mint variety, oatmeal raisin and peanut butter. The cookies are kept in a warmer box so that each cookie can be enjoyed in its glorious gooey glory. Insomnia has good cookies, late hours and delivers on campus. Pretty perfect if you ask me!

I'd give them an extra point for not being the typical trendy ice cream shop. But they aren't even that good. The cookies, average-sized ones, are no better than the ones you can find in Meijer, but you'll pay about $1 per. The brownies suck. I'm a major cookie freak, and I left this place feeling ripped off. Interesting concept, but it doesn't work.

$5.00 for 2 cookies is bonkers! I wasn't really paying attention to the price until staff rang-up our order. The cookies (s'mor and triple chunk) were OK, but the price is too much.

Cookies taste good & are warm. We walked in therefore I can't vouch for delivery. I think it's a great idea which obviously caters to college towns (they started @ U Penn) & should probably think of semi-cheaper prices in order to bring in more broke college student business;) I was disappointed that they don't have cups for you to pour your milk into if you want to dip your cookies :/

Very tasty cookies --- warm and soft inside, crispy edges --- YUM! But at a dollar a cookie --- I felt very ripped off. The cookie was the size of flat golf ball --- does that make sense? Well, you get the size, right? Customer service is lacking --- the guy behind the counter was pretty annoyed when we were still deciding on what cookie to order. I didn't quite get it --- it wasn't like he had a line out the door. Won't be going back ...

Can a cookie be too gooey? I don't think so. I got a peanut butter chocolate cookie here and devoured it. It really needed a cup of coffee?

Having lots and lots of problems. They don't seem to be getting the addresses correct. We have had cookies delivered to our home 3 times over the past few months. Two of those times they were delivered to a home with NO LIGHTS on well after midnight. Cookies arrived again today, our address but we didn't order them. LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH THE SYSTEM. This time I kept the cookies. I've been on hold trying to reach "customer service" well over 25 minutes. Perhaps this is why the cookies cost so much!!

I went on December 2nd, and they were having a sale on some of their cookies where it was buy 4, get 2 free. I bought the chocolate chunk cookies for that deal. They were excellent. They are conveniently located right across the MSU campus, because they know students stay up late to study, and will need a study break. I will definitely go there again. I just wish they had a location closer to where I work so I could go there after I get done working the night shift.

Great cookies but the milk is way overpriced. Shouldn't be $3.30 for a small bottle of milk.

I cancelled my online order and then they cancelled my roommates order, so we neither of us got cookies that night. Not worth the 1.5 hour wait.

Cookies took much longer than anticipated to arrive due to heavy order volume and low staff. However, customer service was wonderful in setting the situation right. The cookies were delicious and the delivery driver very polite. A bad situation turned good

Definitely the best cure for 2am sweets cravings! Open until 3am and ALWAYS fresh despite the time of day. Good prices too!
