Insomnia Cookies

I live in the neighborhood and this is my go to Insomnia Cookies location. I walk here often and I can honestly say I have never once had a bad experience at this store. Tonight I was helped by Taneka, who is a team lead, and her customer service was exceptional. Warm, welcoming, professional, honest, and genuinely kind. You can tell when someone sets the standard for a store and she absolutely does. She took the time to give real recommendations, was honest about what flavors she personally does and does not like, and made the entire interaction feel human and easy instead of rushed or transactional. I was honestly surprised to see this location sitting at a 4.1 rating because that does not reflect the consistent quality of service I have personally experienced here over time. This store deserves much higher. Every employee I have encountered here has been friendly and respectful, and Taneka in particular is a standout. This is a great neighborhood spot, and I will continue to come back. If you want warm cookies and people who actually treat you like a person instead of just another order number, this is the location. Five stars, easily!

Taneka was amazing. when i tell you snickerdoodle was so amazing. the cookies and cream was a second amazing choice. i love the Confetti cookie. Def will be back and just for her and the vibe!!!

Visited the Navy Yard location and was treated with so much care and patience. I wanted to try some of the ice cream flavors and I was also unsure of which cookies I was going to choose. Imani exhibited great customer service and was very knowledgeable about the items. She went above and beyond to help me.

We ordered through the app and had an issue with the DoorDash driver. When we called the store, the manager Ray Howard was absolutely fantastic and handled the entire situation. She was very professional, very understanding, and very accommodating. It's hard to find that kind of customer service nowadays.

The worst customer service experience I’ve had at an insomnia location and I’m a frequent customer. Firstly, there was only one person working the register and preparing orders. I waited at least 15 minutes before it was my time to order. However, the employee simply left to go into the back. And I get it - she had other things to do - but a “one moment ma’am, I apologize for the continued wait” would have made a considerable difference in my experience. When she did return, there was still no communication; instead, she prepared delivery orders on the counter in front of me. After waiting an additional 5 minutes, I was finally acknowledged and allowed to place my order. And of course, I didn’t get any of the cheeky banter she had with the white customers before me. Just all around unpleasant and I’ll be sticking to the VA location.

I ordered cookies through UberEats and my cookies never got delivered. UberEats told me that I needed to call Insomnia directly which I did. They said that they went through a 3rd party company and that he said that the delivery person delivered them and put them in the lobby. The individual did not. Now my kids are without cookies and I'm out of $26.

I came around closing time for some cookies and ice cream and the staff there was awesome very kind and great customer service. 10/10 Recommend.

I love insomnia cookie!! This location was good and the woman who helped us was extremely nice aswell. Oh yeah and of course the cookies was hitting!!

Decided to try this place out, and will not be doing so again. For starters, an entire cookie was missing. We ordered a 6-pack and only five cookies arrive. We didn't call to complain because we were already over it given how the rest of the cookies were. For the price, we thought these cookies would be a decent size for the price and two were comically small and one was burnt. Next time we'll give Crumbl a try. This was a huge miss.

I enjoy insomnia cookies and will probably go into one wherever I am lol. Coming from U-Haul with my daughter we stumbled across the Insomnia Navy Yard location. My sister lives down the street so I knew one was near but never the exact location. We went in around 11-11:30 in the morning and it was empty. The shop was clean and only had one employee in the front. My daughter ordered what she always gets (cookies n cream) and I got some for my son as well. I always get the oatmeal chocolate chip and walnut cookie or oatmeal raisin. Today I got both. I ordered the classic box that comes with 5 classic cookies and 1 deluxe. I wanted to try the cookies and cream as well. So in total I bought 5 cookies n cream, 1 oatmeal chocolate chip and walnut cookie, and 1 oatmeal raisin. I inquired about the brand of Ice cream they used and learned that insomnia has its own brand and the ones that have cookies actually use insomnia cookies. The cashier, Imani offered me to try the flavor Caramellionaire which includes their Salted Caramel Cookie. It was delicious! She told me a lot of people like to combine it with the cookie dough Ice cream. As a lover of ice cream I was sold! Went home and mixed them, the combination is AMAZING!! I didn't particularly care for the cookies n cream cookie. It was way too sweet for me. The kids, of course, loved it! As mentioned before, the other cookies are my go to and they did not disappoint. I did have to heat up the oatmeal chocolate chip walnut one to soften it up. I would definitely come back to this location

Stopped by after the Nats game. Watched them beat the Dodgers lol. The cookies here are very delicious and they are affordable. It's a cute shop. Service is fast and the employee taking our order was very helpful.

Variety of cookies. I was craving fresh chocolate chip and my wife wanted something with wal nuts. My cookie was pretty good. Loved the amount of chocolate. Wish it had been softer. My wife said the same thing about her cookie. They stay open late. It isn't cheap but not much in DC is these days. I can't say I would never go back but not sure I am excited to go back.

Went for the grand opening. Cookies were a 10/10 A bit overpriced tho. I ordered a chocolate chunk cookie which had to be baked. Waited about 20 mins for it to get ready. During the wait I noticed a roach in this brand new establishment y'all. I still ate the cookies tho.

Absolute joke of a franchise. I live in the area and have for a while and since they've opened, I've yet to see them go a single business day without being understaffed. There can be no line at all and it will still take years before anyone even takes your order. You'll wait decades, only to find that they're out of everything and you have to wait another 20 minutes for a new batch to finish baking. The employees won't even acknowledges it or even apologize for the inconvenience. DON'T go lol go to ColdStone next door!!

The cookies are never fresh and warm. They always taste as if they've been sitting there for hours. Defeats the whole purpose of insomnia cookies.

Really had hope for this place when they closed down unexpectedly and re opened but still stale cookies. Flavor is good but hard and stale unfortunately

Precious and D 'Aja was patient with me and listened. They got my order right and now ima enjoy these cookies like it's the end of the world!!

Had a little mixup with my order, but the customer service was excellent and saved the day! I really appreciated the assistance I got from Precious and would definitely order from this location again.

These cookies are not worth the price, these are basically subway cookies with the price jacked up. The Service was horrible the employee ignored the customers. The ambiance was ok!

The cookies here are sooooo bomb. They are so soft and good my favorite is the confetti deluxe, and the snickerdoodle every week I have to get me some. The staff here are very nice too. Definitely recommended
