The Hst staff goes behind and above to answer questions and make sure your order is exactly how you like it. For example, I don’t like soggy cookies, anytime I request fresh yet hardened cookies, they provide that. They’d staff is so funny and warm!

I went to insomnia cookies on H st and everything was amazing, the customer service from Sean was great and he helped with all the questions we had about everything, tasted flavors of ice creams to match with our cookies…. I will definitely be back for the cookies and great customer service.

Huge shoutout to Lauren and Lashana for going above and beyond to help me get something special delivered. They jumped in with zero hesitation, handled everything flawlessly, and made sure it was put together perfectly. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and exceptional service!

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at an ice cream shop. The attendant working tonight 10/19/2025 around 7:15pm was extremely rude and unkind (wish i got her name). When I politely asked to sample a few flavors before purchasing, she refused to offer more than one and was mean when showing where to dispose the tasting spoon. I rarely ever leave one-star reviews, but this rating reflects the poor customer service rather than the product itself (because I couldn't try it).

My first time having insomnia cookies and they were really good. I got the snickerdoodle and the white chocolate macadamia one, and both were still warm and soft. Sean was the person who helped me today, and he was very nice.

I was Not impressed the cookie was super small to be $4. Can go to subway and get 3 cookies for the right amount and quality. It was for my daughter but she gonna have to raise funds to buy that

I LOVE Insomnia Cookies!! Every time I come the people are kind and make me smile. Today, I went to the location on H Street and the worker Sean was GREAT! He was so kind to me and my friend when I brought her to get a free cookie for her birthday. If there are more people like Sean I will always come back to Insomnia Cookies!

Tiera was absolutely amazing! Always nice to walk in to an establishment to a friendly, welcoming smile! Employee of the month?!

The cookies here and always delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions! Will certainly return! The place is big enough to place your order, get a small stretch in and get out lol.

Insomnia cookies is becoming to be one of my favorites saturday, night treats. I purchased a monster chocolate chip & a oatmeal chocolate chip. The oatmeal cookie was warm & gooey. That was made today i also purchased the monster chocolate chip cookie was made yesterday. Please don't let that discourage you from getting the leftover cookie. It just means that it was made yesterday and they are not warm when you purchase them. Also they're a dollar less then the original price so that's a good thing. If you decide to get a leftover cookie no worries they are still delicious. Highly recommend

Cookies: the cookies are always delicious and I don't even mind waiting a few minutes for the fresh ones! 5/5 Customer Service: the associates are normally great, however Annette's customer service skills can greatly be improved on especially when someone is spending $21+ for four cookies. 2/5

I've been to the Georgetown location before, so I had high expectations--and the H Street spot did not disappoint. Just like the other one, this location offers a great variety of cookies, and I especially love that they have vegan options. To compare, I tried both the regular chocolate chip and the vegan chocolate chip cookies, and honestly, they were both incredibly delicious. Perfect texture, rich flavor--can't even tell the difference with the vegan one! Definitely a solid go-to for a late-night sweet fix.

C IS for Yummy Cookie, that's good enough for me We had dinner reservation to a Christmas Pop Up...and luck for us we almost walked by this famed cookie house. We just had to go in. My friend and I love sweet treats, there was NO way we could walk by without sampling these delicious cookies. There were so many choices and a wide array of cookie flavors. When you walk in you are embraced by the warm and inviting intoxicating aroma of cookies wafting in the air. The price is on par with that of other gourmet cookies in the DC Area. They are well made, pure deliciousness and worth every dollar. I only wish they had more locations...made one closer to my house. They would surely compete for my love and dollars should they open one in Bethesda. I maybe little bit of a cookie monster, so I delight at the thought of more gourmet cookie in close proximately to my house. This is worth the journey and the extra calories.

every time I visit this location, the only inconsistency is the actual cookies!! The temperature , softness and texture of the cookies are never the same from cook to cook. Last night I was told by a female employee after questioning if the cookies were undercooked by just LOOKING AT THEM she replied, "you never been here when i bake they're soft they're done" Just for me to go home and see they were actually UNDERCOOKED 2/10

Whoever answers the phone is disrespectful. He hung up on us while waiting for our food for OVER an hour. I'm still waiting, and they want to hang up on me..........

Best Cookies in the area!!! My favorite is the AdMo store as the staff is great, friendly and knowledgeable. The cookies are always warm and not over baked. The management is terrific and work with you if you have delivery issues....I had one once and when I called regarding a wrong delivery drop-off, "D" was very understanding and accommodating and got a fresh delivery back out within the 20 mins. My favorite is the Triple Chocolate Chunk YUUUUUMMMMM!​

Been to this location a few times and never was disappointed. They have a solid reputation for delicious cookies and cookie ice cream Combos. The service here is also quite good and willing to explain the choices. Wish it was more seating so you could eat inside but for a quick grab and go it's perfect.

Insomnia cookie is always a MUST. Best cookies hands down and I don't l think anyone could change my mind. Not a lot of parking, but there was street parking right out front and in the side street. Kind employees that greeted me in and out of the door + quick service.

Had a sweet tooth after visiting a nearby restaurant and decided to grab a cookie. Oh my a ooeey gooey chocolate chip cookie is what I received. I was extremely pleased and my sweet tooth was totally satisfied! Insomnia never disappoints‼

I do not recommend this location Worst customer service employee have a real nasty attitude and they do not honor the time they say they are supposed to be open drove 35 minutes arrived at 11:25pm supposed to be open until 1am

Awful experience! Picked up cookies for a birthday. They were packed sloppily and the employee was rude. Customer service is lacking. Cookies were ok, except for the limited edition, peach cobbler cookie, which was delicious.

Excellent as always. always fresh and tasty just like I like it. Service is sometimes lack luster but it's to be expected.

Insomniac cookies has been very dear to my heart for almost a decade! Very happy that this business is further expanding in the DMV. This location is open amid the ongoing pandemic. However, only 2 customers are allowed to enter at a time. I stopped by during an evening of insomniac craving and got half a dozen of my favorite chocolate chunk and they all hit the spot! As usual, I received a moist and soft delight of sweetness and would be happy to stop by in the future. The staff was very friendly and also took precaution by wearing a mask and gloves. *Quick tip: the parking is free on H street corridor during the covid-19 pandemic

Insomnia is a good place for late night cookies and ice cream. The cookies are pretty good although their quality has certainly deteriorated over the years. The worst think about insomnia is the customer service. Every insomnia I've been to feels like the Wild West and this location isn't any exception. People working there aren't terribly friendly but whatever, it's just a cookie.

I don't give 5 stars often, but when I do you know I mean business. Cookies were warm and chewy .... The manager was nice and even threw in some free cookies because they were about to close. I highly recommend and I will be back!

Insomnia Cookies are life. Each cookie tastes amazing, but my absolute favorite was the salted Caramel! I have had an additional batch since the first time I went. I will frequent the soot each time I am near. You will not be disappointed if you decide to buy sweets from this location. The cookies are worth the drive and the prices are very affordable for the size of the cookies.

I used to be obsessed with Insomnia back in college and was excited to return to one of their locations after being deprived of their yummy cookies for five years. I was delighted to find that they now have a handful of vegan cookie options! What a time to be alive! I opted for the vegan birthday cake cookie and went on my way. Overall, it was a solid cookie, but nothing special and not as melt-in-your-mouth as my college nostalgia led me to believe. It was slightly warm but not ooey and gooey like I remembered. It was generally a little greasy as well. My husband got a regular sugar cookie and agreed with my overall sentiment. For a chain cookie shop, Insomnia is still yummy but if you're looking for the epitome of cookies, there are probably some local bakeries that are better suited for your needs. But bonus points for having vegan options!!

Stopped by after having dinner while visiting and the 2 stars is for the service. The cookies were delicious and get 4 stars but the lady working was not friendly at all...she seemed annoyed to be taking our order. Customer service goes a long way and we always treat others like we would want to be treated. Maybe we were too dressed up? We just came from a steak house.

I love a good chocolate chip cookie - especially one with big, warm, chunks! Yum! I blame my cousins for the visits that I will be making (but shouldn't make) to Insomnia. I visited on a Saturday night, after dinner - had a bit of a sweet tooth. I was amazed! I can imagine during the day that Insomnia can get a little busy, but on a Saturday evening, especially on busy H Street, I was surprised that there weren't more patrons. Anyway, service was great, the cookies were warm and tasted fresh. The runner-up for me is the S'mores. Goodness! Picture the marshmallows and gooey chocolate chunks. That cookie was nothing short of delicious. I can't rave enough about Insomnia, and I have to thank my cousins (and fellow Yelpers) for putting me on!

This place was recommended by a girlfriend who wanted to make a stop by after we were at Smith commons. This place is pretty typical ice cream and cookie place. I'm not a big fan of cookies but I ordered 4 chocolate chip cookies. Two of them I ate while in the store and it was so tasty and melted right in my mouth. I was very happy and would go back again! Don't come here if you trying to count calories My friends were having the cookies with ice cream and it looked good!!

Another yummy location! The cashier was very friendly as well. I stumbled upon this location while going to Kitchen cray. Of course I had to do a pickup. This time I purchase a few different items. The chocolate covered strawberry cookie was delicious. I purchased the red velvet, chocolate chip, m&m and double chocolate chip cookie. Love insomnia cookies!

The staff in here is always nice and smiling. The cookies are AMAZING!!! I have only been there late in the evening... It's called Insomnia for a reason. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they do not have other milk options besides dairy. I'd like my cookies with milk too, but without the extra trip to the bathroom. *Taps mic* "Can we get some Almond Milk, please?!" Tip: If you want cookie options, go before the clubs and lounges let out. The cookies go quick after the drunks are done partying.

I love that they've made it through the pandemic. The kids and I decided to drive by on a whim to see if they were still open and grabbed a prime parking spot at 10pm. We walked in to an empty lobby, grabbed 4 cookiewiches and by the time one of us had ordered, there was a line 5 deep behind us. The cookies were hot and fresh, the ice cream selections were as great as ever and not icy and hard so I presume they're still doing a pretty brisk business. I love Insomnia and HIGHLY recommend them for the late night snack craving. I got the salted caramel ice cream with the walnut chocolate chunk cookie and it hit the sugar and salt cravings right on the head!!! So, are they healthy? No. Is it a place to go sit down and relax? Absolutely not --you grab your food and stand outside or take it home. Is the service amazing? Nah, but they're not rude. Do they take credit cards? Yes Apple/GooglePay? No. Should you UberEats/DoorDash this? Totally-- my cookie and ice cream made it all the way home to upper NW as I wanted to share with my hubby. The service is good enough that I would trust them not to make it and have it sitting.

I was super excited to see this business as I was leaving a party across the street. Managed to j-walk safely to get closer to this PHENOMENON!! O. M. G. Where do I start? Well, I had to calm down and remember this was just a pitstop before hitting another venue. LOL I was a good girl and just ordered 1 chocolate cookie that was warm, soft and MELTED IN MY MOUTH!! Sooooooo good! One of my friends ordered a box of Snicker Doodles to share and they were gone within seconds lol We saw people coming in getting ice cream sandwiches and all other kinds of delicious cookie/ice cream creations that made me drool lol I will definitely make it back to try one of those sandwiches!! In a nutshell, Insomnia Cookies SWEEEEEEET!! The fact that they will DELIVER TO MY HOUSE and stay open until 3AM is SICK. I need to hit the gym harder now lol A MUST VISIT, all of you homemade / fresh cookie lovers!!!

Went to see a play on H st. and have heard so much about Insomnia Cookies so I figured I would venture in. They had ice cream cookie sandwiches and regular cookies. I went with the 6 cookie deal and got one of each. The cookies I selected were: Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Raisin White Chocolate Macadamia Peanut Butter Chip Classic with M&M's Snicker doodle They were good but nothing amazing. My favorites were the chocolate chunk and the white chocolate macadamia.

The only time I ever come to Insomnia cookies is after a long night of drinking. So as far as I'm concerned, the warm cookies always taste amazing. At this particular location, the cashiers have always been nice, and a few times they've even given me some free broken cookies! I highly recommend ordering a six pack with friends and enjoying these on your walk home after a night of drinking. The Mint Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Chocolate Chip all taste delicious.

The selling point of Insomnia Cookies is the fact they deliver 24/7. Sometimes you crave a warm cookie at 4am (I know from personal experience). Outside of that, Insomnia Cookies definitely hits a rare craving, but it is not the best cookie experience in DC. They sell their cookies in this new H Street NE storefront, but they are often not warm and pretty small. If you go for an ice cream sandwich the price tag is steep (over $6 for two small cookies and a little bit of ice cream). They do have a fun ice cream- the Cookie Monster. It tastes like cookies and cream but comes in a bright blue color that WILL stain your mouth. Tell your friends to order it so they spend the rest of the evening being made fun of. Hehe.

Question 1: WHY is Insomnia so delicious? Ugh these cookies are just angels from heaven in food form. I will stand in any kind, any where, for almost any amount of time. This location is hit or miss with the wait times but the staff is always so friendly. Special shout-out to Imani!! Last night she was running the store practically by herself because someone quit on the job. She handled it like a queen, very friendly and provided everybody with an explanation. I mean honestly, we were going to wait regardless since the cookies are just amazing. I always get a sugar, snicker doodles, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. Did I forget to say that I do NOT like cookies? Lol insomnia is so good that i eat then any. crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect amount of sugar and crunch. If there's an insomnia in your area, please make sure to get something. I PROMISE you will not be disappointed.

Insomnia Cookies is one of my favorite cookie spots in DC. I recently did a review of Union Kitchen and their ooey gooey cookie and why they was my favorite cookie in DC. But Insimnia is my favorite cookie SPOT in DC. Let me tell you why..... Anytime you go to Insomnia Cookies, you are guaranteed to get soft warm cookies on the spot! And they're open until 3 am every day! Every had a midnight sweet tooth?!... Then hit up insomnia! Now in addition to their warm, soft cookies, they have a variety of ice cream to go with them. My personal favorite is Bourbon on the Rocks! (They rotate their ice creams, so if you can ever catch Bourbon on the Rocks, you're in for a special treat)! That ice cream flavor alone is enough for me to make a trip there. I normally opt for the cookiewich which is a custom ice cream sandwich made with 2 fresh cookies. I always have them to separate it so that the cold ice cream doesn't make my cookies cold prematurely and I can experience my entire cookiewich without my cookies cooling! The only my downside is that they're a bit in the pricey side and sometimes they can be a little stingy with the ice cream, but it's still a solid spot IMO! Other than that, there not much to see. All of the stores are extremely small, though they do have seating for 2 or 3 people. The staff is usually pretty cool. this place is one of my favorites! If you've ever had a sweet tooth late at night or are looking for some fresh warm cookies, Insomnia is your place!

I never understand why businesses employ lazy people!! This location is constantly locking the door before closing time. They always close early....never abiding by the posted time!

My favorite late night treat. I recommend going to the one on h street. Im not sure about other locations but they serve their cookies warm. I always get the salted caramel but i tried their snickerdoodle and it was amazing. If you love cookies this is the spot!

Cookies with ice cream always a plus. Nice new spot with really late hours. Parking is poor along H Street but plenty of people hanging out in area. Cookies were average nothing special about them other than that they said soft even with the ice cream inside I've cream flavors were basic The idea of the spot is great and we will definitely be going back we had 3 cookies with Ice cream and it was about $18 total

Great idea and even better location. Located in the middle of the action. Plenty of late night dining and bars open in the area. Insomnia is a tiny spot with big flavors and unique approach to late night snacking/dessert. After a night out (or in)a cookie, brownie, or two of each can be just what the doctor ordered. They offer AMAZING warm cookie ice cream sandwiches, warm cookies to enjoy alone and warm gooey brownies straight from the oven. This place is always humming and there are several reasons why. The cookies are incredible and the customer service is great. If you get lucky enough to secure a spot in front like we did each time even better! Enjoy your sweet treat on the go. I am very disappointed. The time is 12:40am. My online order was placed at 12:30am. The lady at the desk seem defensive when I open their doors. "Hello, My name is Donta. I have an online order" , I said. "Oh. We closed. And you made your order right when we getting ready to close. We have no more brownies", she said. The young lady handed me a pint of ice cream. I stood there in disbelief. I paid ten dollars for ice creams.

Ok. Nothing spectacular, but their brownie got the job done when we wanted something sweet.

Good time here just wished there were more options. Being an out of town-Er, I've heard of this with hype but...let down. The two dudes working here were fun and I had poked fun back at them. It was hella rainy but no big deal. Seems to be popping down on this street at that late an hour. Get milk.

Picked up a box of six regular chocolate cookies and was extremely disappointed. The cookies were hard with very little chocolate chips. First time cookies were not good.

Great cookies, especially the chocolate peanut butter cup. Good ice cream too, and I love the way they section the pieces for quick assembly. Would be five stars, but like other reviewers have said, the customer service is rough. You never feel welcome and the attendants are prickly, but the cookies are good enough to tough it out. If the quality is right, I don't mind dealing with a jerk or two. Hence four stars.

An accurate review would be negative stars. While following the proper protocols to place an order, during a time where absolutely no one was in the store or waiting outside for pickup, it still took 30 minutes to receive an order of 4 cookies. While waiting outside for my order, I observed two clothes and 'on the clock' employees sitting on scooters, with deliveries sitting in the baskets, rolling up marijuana joints. After calling twice, and having to walk inside the store, I was met with an attitude with the cashier sitting in the rear of the store. This is absolutely ridiculous of how poor and inconsiderate customer service has been.

Well after polishing some sushi and tots, we opted to take a little walk and look for yet more food and hopefully dessert. Almost missing it by blinking we came across this joint sandwiched in between or inside the building front. Walking inside there are just a couple of small seats - meant more to be a carry out than a dine-in which makes senses they are only cookies. The workers were funny, butched us only to get repopped by her while throwing away our trash- never been more proud and honestly in the interest of full disclosure I had no idea what was going on or what the butch was until it was explained to me. What a weenie. I mistakenly thought we were getting multiple for the road to have later or next day only to look like a fat ass. Oh well. Old habits. I ordered a big chocolate chunk cookie with Reese's cup chunks in it and a small milk. Cookie was gone so fast I made her head spin. I love warm cookies Apart from the cookie sandwiches which I would really recommend Bc I wanted one but couldn't fit it - it's basic bakery cookies with some twists and milk. I don't hate it- not knocking it but it was just kind of kind of meh. Guys working put it over the top, well she did when she repopped them.

Hmmmm. I was super excited to try out this new cookie place. It was just ok. I didn't even finish my cookie. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a chocolate chip cookie with walnuts or pecans, but that's a personal preference. Not much I have to save about this one

The cookies are delicious and served fresh out of th oven. I give this place a 4, and that star reduction is only due to the selection of cookies being inconsistent and unavailable, on about 4/7 of the nights I've visited. That always hurts my sugar feign feelings

Best overpriced cookies in DC!!! Pro tip: Eat them while warm! They also have ice cream..
