Shout out to Carlina and Sivonny!! Best cookies and ice cream dessert! 10/5 stars!

To the lady cashier checking me out at around 9pm, I hope you sincerely lose your job. First of all, when we walk in there’s no one there. The lady comes from this man’s car outside then walks to the cash register to take my order. She was incredibly rude, she seemed bothered that I interrupted whatever she was doing in that car. She had rung up my order incorrectly and when she prompted whether it was correct, I told her no and she went off on me claiming that’s not what I said and she had cited it back to me. She even prompted the customers behind me to chime in what they think? Completely taken aback from the whole situation, that I changed my mind and left. Unacceptable behavior!

Absolutely unacceptable. Saturday I had two separate orders from this location delivered to the wrong address—both times to the exact same incorrect place—despite my address being 100% accurate in the UberEats app. This clearly isn’t a one-off mistake; it’s a pattern of carelessness. I called the shop and was told I’d be issued a refund. That was days ago. No email confirmation. No update. And most importantly—no refund in my account. Just radio silence. I’m beyond frustrated. I paid for food I never received twice and wasted time chasing after it. Do better.

terrible! the lady was so rude. i ordered two different things and when she got it mixed up, i kindly reminded her of what i ordered and she gave me disrespect. didn’t microwave my cookies and was also rude to other employee. never coming back. it was a disappointment because all the other insomnia locations i went to were great. i ordered a cookie with ice cream and she forget my second cookie. when i reminded her, she gave me a tiny cookie that was half the size of the one on the bottom. don’t waste your time here. go to any other location

Kiara is the best for real. Keep her at all cost. She was very personable in the way she connected with me and my friend. She helped us pick some selections based off what we was had a taste for.

Carlena is an absolute rockstar at Insomnia Cookies! I've had the pleasure of interacting with her on multiple occasions, And she made sure my cookie cravings were satisfied. She always, has a smile on her face and makes you feel like you're the only customer in the store. Even during busy hours, she manages to keep the lines moving and gets orders out quickly! Her customer service skills make her a joy to interact with. If you're looking for a great cookie experience, Carlena's your girl!

They serve raw cookies. The staff are disgusting and they never change their gloves.

I hopped in here after grabbing dinner and theirs cookies were warm and waiting on me. I didn't know they had a vegan birthday cake cookie and it was soooooo yummy. I stopped by the Penn Quarter location that same week. Based on this new obsession, I think it's time to grab a dozen Insomnia cookies

Ice-cream is my favorite food and the moment I walked in you can smell fresh baked cookie dough . I go the classic cookie'wich which is 2 scoops of ice-cream with 2 cookies. I got the caramellionare ice-cream with chocolate chunk & snickerdoodle cookies. You can mix & match flavors. The service was good, however they don't make the cookie'wich for you, you have to assemble yourself and the chocolate chunk was 20% smaller than the snickerdoodle. The cookies were nice, warm and soft but when the ice-cream hits it of course it became harder. I eventually made it into an ice-cream crumble bowl as it melts before you can eat through the self assembled sandwich. The ambiance was clean, bright and modern.

The standard sized cookies are pretty generic. Mine wasn't warm or anything just a regular cookie for $3 or whatever. The deluxe was tasty - much bigger, fresher, gooey. Will stick to deluxe going forward. The line wasn't that long but it moves pretty slowly, I guess everyone was getting cookie ice cream things but still

Now I know why they don't display their cookies......, they are quite small for the price. I was there on January 24, 2025. I was unimpressed with the size and quality of the cookie I ordered.

Got some cookies after having dinner across the street--they weren't the worse cookies but they weren't the best cookies, either. I wish they were a tad bit bigger and made clear that the deluxe cookies were not just about the ingredients but also the size. They are open late which is nice.

The worst!! Not attentive or friendly. The store wasn't even busy, as I was the only customer in the store. As soon as I arrived there was no one at the front to greet me. Until I had to signal I was there and still stood there for about 5 mins waiting for someone to come to the front. Than after placing the order they tell me they don't take cash and disappeared off to the back again after I processed my transaction on key pad with no one at the front. The rep forgets I never got my cookies or my receipt.... as if I am standing there for sake of it. The reps says oh I'm sorry... and hands me overly heated melted chocolate cookies. When I proceeded to ask to sample two the ice cream she says you can only sample one or the other... It was like they didn't want to be bothered or they were ditzy I don't know but I won't be going back there again. Client engagement and service sucks at an all time high at this store.

The best place to get sweets late night. The restaurant is very new and clean. The staff has been nice to me the times I've been here. I appreciate an Insomnia cookies in Shaw

This store has a family cookie shop vibe, the daytime staff was excellent, it was a young guy with glasses & an older woman DiDi who look to be management , they had bright smiles, good humor , and shorty in the back kept bringing out fresh cookies pan after pan !! Customer service was excellent, cookies melted in my mouth & I will definitely be returning!!!

First off the cookie I was given was the smallest runt cookie I've gotten from insomnia, it seems the workers here don't bother to make consistent quality batches. Second the young lady working that night was very comfortable complaining about others out loud to other customers. Her word choice and approach to resolving grievances she had with customers was immature to say the least and blatantly unprofessional. She managed to throw in a flash of a smile at the end of her sentences which I appreciate but she did not give a good image of insomnia cookies and I will not be returning to this location again

This is the 2nd time in a two day period that I've gone to this location and they don't have mini chocolate chip cookies. It is 7:00 pm. The young lady at the register told me to come back tomorrow, that's the same thing she said last time. This is ridiculous, this is my 3rd poor experience here. I'm done with this bootleg store.

YUM! I got a peanut butter cookie and a white chocolate and macadamia nut cookie I was not disappointed at all. The price was good, size was good, taste, texture, and temperature of the cookie was perfection.

Let me start of by saying I have been a valued member of the Insomnia Cookie gang for YEARS! I would say I've been to ALL the locations in MD & DC just so you know I have credentials lol. I went to the Insomnia Cookie 1924 8th St NW Suite 115, Washington, DC 20001 location last Sunday and my experience here was TOP TIER! I came after 11PM so I was expecting stellar customer service especially since that location is surrounded by a lot of DC night clubs and bars. I was blown away by the customer service and personalism of Jabri and his colleague. They were so personable, hospitable, and welcoming. My friend and I felt like family. This became more that a late-night cookie run, It became an experience. CRUMBL cookies have been pushing for then #1 spot in my life but this experience last Sunday pushed them wayyyy back to second place. Thank Jabri and team for a great time and amazing Insomnia cookies!
