What an incredible experience we had! We thought we must be in the wrong place when the taxi dropped us off outside a rambling old art college. We wandered through a courtyard into the school, and finally found a check- in area where we were greeted with smiles, a lovely aperitif of sparkling wine and rose water, and a few divine canapés. Eventually we were led down another hall and seated in what looks like a dolled up school cafeteria, which it probably is. Here we were served a cold soup, then a fish dish with a glorious baked potato topped with unusual flavours and textures. We finished with a lovely dessert. Everything here is served with heart, from a team of immigrant trainees who try very hard, and succeed at winning your heart. A note- very little English was spoken, but we didn’t care- smiles and an appetite are all that’s needed for a beautiful, unique and heart-warming evening you’ll remember forever.
