Google
Love going here when I'm in Cville, really just for the vibe. Vast selection of spices and teas in bulk so you can stock up and try different dishes /brews. They always have some type of sale going on. People who work here are pretty chill too.

Google
I enjoy their seasoning/spice selection. They also started selling a new product called alka-sol spring water - I love it. Looking forward to them restocking more.

Google
They have a decent assortment of bulk dry goods and herbs here. They have some local produce. They are owned by Frontier Co-op, however, and the cost of goods here is really astronomical. Especially any shelved goods. Some bulk goods and vegetables here are reasonable. I wouldn't shop here for anything else. I want to support local... but I don't support this kind of greed anywhere. Be it Whole Foods or Frontier.

Google
Great selection of excellent health remedies, helpful staff

Google
Always interesting to go here. I love their selection of fermented foods and dairy alternative yogurts. Also a HUGE vitamin and homeopathic section. It was great

Google
Excellent choice for those interested in supporting local businesses. A little bit spendy for some items but for a small store they have an amazing selection & a variety of items on sale. Definitely worth checking out & I will be returning.

Google
Love integral yoga natural foods! I have gotten spices and bulk items, my favorite soap and lip balm, jewelry, incense, and seeds for my gardens. I worked there years ago too making juices and smoothies. Always enjoy shopping there.

Google
This is one of my staple stops in town. One of the best selections of healthy food and great selection of supplements/herbs too. Reasonable prices for a health food store and the books, crystals and gifts up front are always interesting and fun. They also have the best smoothies in town, like hands down, best smoothies. Great bulk section and produce too.. It's hard not to Love IY.

Yelp
They have an interesting selection of herbs and natural remedies. Most all the foods are way overpriced. I bought a vegan noodles packet which was a ready to heat and serve with flavoring. It was over $8 and tasted like it was so old. The girl isnt very knowledgeable about which remedies, or teas are beneficial. She just points and the guy at the register is plain rude. I think they dont like to work there. Maybe it is the high prices of Charlottesville that makes them so unwilling to be courteous? I continue to shop on line from other resources and may not visit there again.

Yelp
Integral Yoga is my favorite little grocery store in Cville, it's my go to for divine fresh produce. They offer a beautiful selection of local and organic dairy products/ breads/ produce (mushrooms, apples and more) It is a vegetarian grocery so if you're looking for meat there are other options around! I'd highly recommend checking it out if you're passing through town and enjoy seeing local hubs.

Yelp
I enjoy IY for its support of local agriculture and for its commitment to organic products. They have a good, if not fully "complete" bulk section, where I can find spices that aren't available in the Whole Foods bulk section. If you're buying bulk to try to use less plastic, you want to bring your own bags though, because IY offers plastic bags, which I really don't understand. Of course, because of the nature of the store, things are more expensive than what you find in Kroger, Harris Teeter, etc, but you know that going in, so it's not too worrisome. I usually go in for the bulk section, where, besides spices, I also purchase oats, nuts, rice and beans. They have a pretty good selection of toiletries/vitamins/and that sort of thing. Usually healthy, organic, "free-from" etc. Again, if you're looking to eliminate some single use plastic from your life, they sell a couple shampoo bars that are reasonable and salt rock deodorant (which I recommend trying if you haven't yet, lasts so long its very affordable, and it doesn't irritate me like many other natural deodorants do). When I'm in there for something else, I often buy some produce, too, but I find there are other places around town where I can find local produce a bit cheaper. But I like what they're doing, sourcing from local farmers and producers and selling in a sort of co-op style, so I don't begrduge spending a little more if I'm there and in need of something they've got. The person at the register is always kind, if not overly friendly, but I'm there to do some grocery shopping, and usually have my son in tow, so I'm not looking for long conversations. Overall, worth a look, and though I'm not in every week, it is a fairly regular stop for me.

Yelp
It was a delight to make a chance find of Integral Yoga near the beginning of learning about our home town. I was drawn by the wide selection of heritage apples and pears last fall. It is special to know that local Pink Lady and Albemarle Pippens will be a winter staple in the produce department. I was a long-time member of the California Rare Fruit Growers in Palo Alto and fondly remember grafting many of the available varieties onto trees in my yard. It is a gift to have a greengrocer that offers something more diverse than the bland generic selections found in supermarkets, even 'fancy' ones.

Yelp
Best tasting fresh Ginger. LOVE their selection of spices, and our parrot loves their nuts, and Turkish Figs. Have found their Trail mixes to be fresh as well. Teas and more teas, can spend much time selecting an array of teas for sleep, health, and get up and go teas. Just enjoyed a great convo with an employee as store was not busy at the time. Wish her the best in continuing her education. My go to store in C'Ville, ever needs one.

Yelp
Integral Yoga Natural Foods is like your local, small, concentrated Wegmans/Whole Foods when you ain't near a Wegmans/Whole Foods. They always have fresh local produce alongside all the snacks and food prep you could need for your special hipster diet. And with this of course, comes some outrageous prices for some products. But those are only a select few that are outrageous. And if all that grocery shopping already has your energy drained, there is a juice/smoothie bar in the back. You can get a little rewards stamp card where if you buy 10 (I think) you get one drink free. They also have a nice inventory of "organic" home/body products which is pretty neat if you're into those things. If you're a student, you can get 10% off your purchase. Cool.

Yelp
I am a strong fan of shopping local, and I don't think the quality has decreased at IYNF. Upon my request, they have consistently stocked my favorite vegetables (kabocha squash). IY also has amazingly tasty small white japanese turnips, purple sweet potatoes, multi-colored carrots (I prefer white or purple ones), and occasionally white beets. They carry local mushrooms like oysters and shitake and lions mane. Although the broccoli tends to cost twice as much as a grocery store option, it is always fresh-looking. In other sections, they now carry allulose, a 3-calorie alternative to stevia and erythritol that seems to dissolve in tea better. They also have specialty moisturizers, and I absolutely love the large lip balm ($2). What the previous critic deemed a poor selection gives me the opposite reaction. I don't depend upon IY as a 1-stop shop. They are a specialty shop, and they do a better job at it than Rebecca's, in my opinion. Employees always ask me if I would like some help (i.e. advice). They listen to my own suggestions, since I experiment heavily now with odd food. AND they were the first local shop I found to enact face masks and large checkout shields to protect their employees. Insisting that I place my entire basket on the checkout belt may not protect them, but it shows me they are going above and beyond to try. Considering that Food Lion and Krogers implemented protections for the employees much later, I feel grateful. Infected employees (even with a common cold) can transmit to customers, too.

Yelp
I make sure I stop by Integral yoga every time i stopped by Cafe 88 or when i dropped of donation for twice is nice. Really love the variety of herbal homeopathy and teas. Staffs also friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
It's one of the few places where I know I can get local items. Local produce Local Tempeh and Tofu Local Kimchee and fermeted foods Local Pickles Just those odd little local things that spice up whatever dish you're making next. Once a year everything (including the bins) goes on sale. And I love the bins. They are more laid back and less commercial than Whole Foods. It's just a please to shop there and maybe grab a juice to power up for more adventures.

Yelp
This is a weekly stop for me through my search for sustainable food purchases within the city. They have a pretty good supply of local food, when in season, as well as a great cheese counter and bulk section. They are truly a vegetarian grocer and you will not find a smidgen of animal there. You will find a wide array of diary items, but NO EGGS. I seem to always forget this and have to stop somewhere else. Sporting a bike rake, it is easily accessible by multiple modes of transportation, there is a bus stop adjacent, sidewalk and bike lane on Preston Avenue. Although prices can be high, I enjoy supporting this local grocery store that takes the time to source food that is more transparent than other grocery stores.

Yelp
Small, local grocery store with a good amount to offer. Their bins are wholefoods-esque, but have a better selection. They have a number of granolas which are fun to try. My favorite things to get from there are fresh peanut butter, honey, and dried mango. The staff are friendly and there tends to be ample parking.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite places. They have many obscure items that you can't find elsewhere in town and I love the bulk sections. They also give a nice student discount for PVCC and UVA which is stellar. Most of the staff is friendly.

Yelp
I've heard great things about Integral Yoga Natural Foods, and they always have coupons available. On my visit, I was just popping into grab a supplement for my dog. A younger employee greeted me and helped point me in the right direction. She also gave a helpful recommendation. Overall, it did the trick for what I needed, and I'd love to go back and see what they offer in terms of groceries.

Yelp
pros: When this place has sales, it is awesome and so very affordable. Lucky for us, they often have sales. Even w/o sales, I find any grocery store that offers beans, rice, nuts, whatever in bulk to be pretty sweet. Bulk will always be a good deal. cons: Sigh. No eggs, the cheese selection is limited, and the price for produce is rather steep. overall: I love all grocery stores, and Integral Yoga deserves some love. As with Food of All Nations, regular trips to Yoga will tell you what your favorites are (mine are some cheeses, bulk nuts, vegetarian chorizo, and shampoo bars). After you establish this, it will make your life easier. Include Yoga in your routine.

Yelp
Best produce in the area. I go just for the produce, cheese and some occasional specialty items like raw honey. Some of the prices are way off, like $9 for Amy's frozen pizza and $4 for Fage yogurt. But their selection is good overall and customer service is great. They had this obscure brand of all-natural big repellent I was looking for-- I guess they do their research. They have good sales too. I really wish they would source better bread. C-ville seems to have a dearth of good bread-- and I'm talking about the whole grain, multi-seeded variety. We've got the white flour bread covered, but I imagine it's not what the Integral Yoga customer prefers.

Yelp
I used to work here many years back. I was proud of the customer service there. Went I went back last week, The guy (Chris) at check out was pretty rude. Said I could put my basket on the checkout belt but I only had 3 items so I took them out and put them on there. He got irritated. Selection of products is lacking too. Not a great natural foods store any longer by any means.

Yelp
(This rating is for the Juice and Smoothie Bar. I am not really familiar with the rest of their offerings.) We have had the Tropical Green (banana, mango, pineapple, spinach, pineapple-coconut juice blend, fresh ginger juice) the Alpha Omega (banana, raspberry, blueberry, hemp oil, chia seeds, unsweet coconut milk) and the Endurance (banana, dates, almond butter, maca Root, unsweetened coconut milk). All excellent. All $8 each. A little spendy perhaps, but having all those ingredients on hand is not convenient or practical so for that reason alone it's worth it. If I had unlimited access to those smoothies, I don't know if I would ever eat solid food again. Seriously yummy.

Yelp
I often visit Charlottesville for solo trips and enjoy stopping at Integral Yoga. I popped in yesterday and loaded up on some awesome local, organic produce. It's uncommon for a grocery store to sell so much local and seasonal produce, so I appreciate the selection at Integral Yoga. The staff was thoughtful and helpful and the location is in close proximity to other conscious businesses. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Great student discount and monthly sales! IY is your earthy-crunchy grocery fix in Charlottesville. A substantial bulk department and excellent smoothie bar are icing on the cake! My only qualm is that they don't carry eggs.

Yelp
The familiar scent of patchouli oil welcomed me into Integral Yoga Natural Foods and I wondered if I had suddenly been magically transported to my corner grocery store in San Francisco (see SF Real Foods). This store is meant for the true hippies in C'ville--they sell no meat (though eggs and milk products are available) and their vitamin/supplements section is to be commended. The prices also reminded me of the San Francisco Hipster scene--which is to say, you don't shop here for prices, you go for the community experience, man.

Yelp
I love Integral Yoga. It has been a healthy-lifestyle staple in Charlottesville for as long as I can remember. The staff are always helpful and kind, and the selection is great for the size of the store. Some prices are a little high, but I'd rather support this great local grocery store than the big chains. Oh, and the cheese and bulk food sections are terrific.

Yelp
This place is great. Wonderful selection of quality local and/or organic foods at reasonable prices. I think they have the best produce in town, sometimes even better than the farmers' markets or CSAs and definitely better than Whole Foods. Being an omnivore however, I must get my meat products elsewhere. Otherwise, I could probably get most of my groceries here at IY.

Yelp
Love this place- they have great fresh juices and the best herbs/dried fruits. Keep it up!

Yelp
love this store and their options! a tad pricey, but that's to be expected. Wouldn't do all my shopping here but would definitely stop in for a few items.

Yelp
Love the fresh local products as well as the cafe which serves awesome sandwiches, salads and healthy smoothies!

Yelp
This place is the exact reason you hate natural food stores. Today I needed tart apples. They sell at least 6 kinds of apples, in fact the only reason you would ever tolerate the people who work in this store is that they have good produce. BUT what happens when you ask which apples are tart? You get a lot of shrugs and apathy.... I am told I have to buy one of each apple to figure out which ones are tart. As I reverse in line to try to recall the name of the 4th kind of unlabeled apple I get big attitude from the clerk.... like I just killed her dog... 'are you ready or NOT????'. It's Layla! And apparently she's having a bad day, or maybe she's just always this unpleasant, who knows. When I ask her if perhaps she knows which apples are tart she glares at me 'that's just a matter of taste'. When I tell her the recipe calls for 'tart' she points 'these ones are the sweetest' to the gold rush', seemingly pleased with herself for not answering 'which ones were tart?'. Well upon trying all 6 varieties I discover the only tart variety ARE the gold rush, the exact opposite of what she just told me. When I tell her this she rolls her eyes and says 'oh like I said it's a matter of taste'. No it isn't, tart versus sweet is objective, but thanks lady what I really needed besides condescension and wrong information was a bad attitude. So obviously Layla hates her job and if not people in general at least annoying ones who ask her unreasonable questions about the products they sell. I'm so over paying extra for bad attitude. I will from now on go to Rebecca's Natural Foods, at least the people try to help you and do seem to care. This place is so awful, so everything you don't need in life, they have so many opinions on how treat animals but apparently humans don't get kindness or consideration at all

Yelp
Just picked up three delicious organic juices! Have been looking for fresh organic green juice and am very happy. Thank you!
