Fantastic local bookstore! Light and airy and welcoming. Loved the variety of books on offer. Tons of staff recommendations. I found quite a few new-to-me books and took several home as souvenirs of a great visit to Dallas. Staff was friendly and helpful and were total enablers to add more books to my TBR pile. For real - thanks!!

This bookstore is truly a dream for experienced readers. The Interabang team has such impeccable taste that you don’t even need to ask for recommendations because the shelves speak for themselves. Every display feels curated with intention, depth, and respect for readers who want to be challenged and delighted in equal measure. From discovering books that make me say, “Oh! They read what I read!” to joining discussions that leave me thinking for days, every moment has felt aligned. I even have the peace of mind of knowing that translations of books I’ve always wanted to read are being carefully selected by booksellers that know what they’re doing. I have zero decision fatigue here. I haven’t bought a single book I regret. Every purchase feels intentional, and I couldn’t be prouder of the growing collection on my shelves. Even my husband, with his very specific taste for horror and Japanese literature, has found community and thoughtful recommendations. Watching him light up as he discovers “his section” has been the best kind of surprise. We’ve also met such bright minds along the way. Shoutout to Stuart, Lori, and the entire Interabang team for creating a space that honors readers, curiosity, and the joy of getting lost in a great book!

Story time was delightful! Ms. Vanous shared her story of Asher as Bubba, the book illustrator, drew a related line drawing. Great interactions with the kids. They seemed to love the experience.

I went to a book signing here. This is a small book store that carries well known authors as well as local authors. The store is very clean and has a restroom available for customers.

The staff were super friendly and the book selection was varied despite it being a small store. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had many books from small publishers on the shelves. Their website and in-shelf staff rec cards were helpful for finding something new to read as well.

Loved this little bookstore!! The big blue door is so inviting and they have a fantastic selection of books. The layout was awesome and they had great staff picks! My kids both found books they were excited about and they LOVED the fish tank! So cool and unexpected! Definitely recommend!!

This bookstore is nothing short of special. I walk in without knowing what I am looking for every time, and Stuart is always able to point me towards great reads (hasn't had a bad recommendation yet!). The employees care deeply about making every customer's visit enjoyable. I have great conversation every time I visit and always leave happy I stopped by. Support your independent bookstores!

I prefer to support small businesses. But I do prefer small businesses that are intersectional in nature and don’t treat nonwhite customers differently. I went in over the weekend and was not greeted upon entering as the four employees continued their conversation. That wouldn’t have given me pause if I didn’t then witness them greet every white person that entered the store. I went up to the register and also had an unfriendly interaction. I went out of my way to say hi how are you? despite their curtness and non-greeting. Again, wouldn’t think anything of it if I hadn’t heard continual checkins and conversations at checkout with white customers. I work in service and make sure to treat everyone fairly but that’s just me. Might be sticking to my other usual spots from hereon out!

What an amazing bookstore! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was going to love this place. Like any bookstore you see tables and shelves lined with books of course, but what adds extra pizazz and interest are the hand written recommendations throughout the store. There is something really special about handwritten notes with short reviews to spark interest. Even though the space is small, it is carefully curated to carry a nice selection of books, and what is not available can be ordered. As with most bookstores, Interabang also carries a great collection of small gifts like journals and globes. Also worthy of mention of the excellent tunes playing in the store. I heard a nice assortment of 80's Synth Pop, Indie and more to keep me groovin' as I made my way through the store. Think New Order, Arcade Fire, Lene Lovich and more. Excellent music being played here to enhance the atmosphere! The service here is wonderful. I appreciated the inquiries to check in on me every so often to make sure I was good. I also got to observe service for other patrons in the store and over the phone, and was really impressed with how dedicated the team was and how the absolute pleasant vide with the service and atmosphere created such a calm, happy place. The value here was on the nose. I think the prices were fare and totally normal. I suppose some people may be used to deeper discounts if they are buying from a large chain or online, but I'm happy to pay the still totally reasonable prices to support an independent bookstore like Interabang. It's a no-brainer. Overall, im really happy with all aspects of my experience here and will be back soon!

I love being able to find and buy books at brick and mortar independent bookshops. I love the feel and touch of books and exploring the next book to get my incite my curiosity. This cute shop had a great selection of books and hosts several book events. Staff was friendly and available to help but not pushy. Supporting local and the literary arts is one way to give back!

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and we have a tradition of visiting local book stores when we travel. Lately it seems like we see the exact same collection of books at every bookstore we go to. Interabang was a breath of fresh air! It's been a long time since both my husband and I left a bookstore with a ton of new books on our TBR. The store was peaceful, but bright and uplifting, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and this may be weird, but I'm obsessed with their bathroom! Picture attached! We can't wait to come back our next time in Dallas!

It is a rarity for me to visit a REAL bookstore anymore. I used to go to independent bookstores everywhere I traveled. Unfortunately, there are so few of them around now. There are a lot of things to love about this amazing bookstore. The selection of titles is curated and appeals to all types of interests. This is one of those places where you could spend a few hours, browsing and having amazing conversations with the friendly staff. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Higher prices at a locally owned, independent bookstore prices are no problem to me since the connections with actual human beings add so much value to the purchase. Human connection is rare in shopping experiences anymore. I actually checked a few titles on the Interabang website and compared with similar editions on Amazon. Amazon is definitely less expensive. However, I would rather spend a bit more to buy from a local bookstore. How many titles I have picked up at a local bookstore resulting in some sort of memory associated with the purchase of the book and perhaps conversation with the staff and fellow customers. You cannot get that when you purchase from Amazon. I enjoy the handwritten notes with recommendations for selected books throughout the store. They motivate you to explore different topics and perhaps discover a new must read historian!

This bookshop has such a great curation of different genres and authors! We stopped by on the weekend to browse and loved it!

Cute book store! I was looking for a guided journal but they didn't have it but the employees were so helpful! I would definitely go back.

I really do love this store. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the layout is intuitive and easy to navigate, the whole store is bright, airy, open, and welcoming. The store itself is small, but the selection is impressively engaging, and I've never walked in here without leaving with something that's somehow exactly what I wanted. I love the hand-written cards with staff recommendations sprinkled everywhere, and the comfy reading spots inviting me to curl up and audition a new read. I also particularly love the children's book section, and always make a visit whenever one of my friend's kids has a birthday coming up. The selection is unique and lovely and varied and I've always been able to find just the right thing. Just one note - I participate in a monthly book club, and in the past I've tried to order the monthly selections through their website, but if the selections aren't already in-store it frequently takes 2-3 weeks for orders to come in, which makes it a real nail-biter to finish reading before the next monthly discussion (since we never choose the books ahead of time). Not a complaint since I know it's a consequence of being a small business, but it's something to plan for. If you're ordering something specific from the website, be sure you're planning well in advance.

Was a little throw off my the name of the bookstore, but looked it up - definitely fit very well. Books are regular retail price, didn't see anything second hand. Definitely a very cute place, super friendly staff - will be back for sure!

i arrived after a half-hour drive to the store closing 5 hours early. (Adjacent stores were still open. Huh?) I had been hoping to give this place a try, but even my ask for a 15 minute look around was denied. I travel all over the country spending hundreds at independent book stores. I certainly won't be making a trek back to Interabang. It might as well have been B&N as far as my experienc. Check out "Read This!" for many many independent bookstores that have been welcoming and wise. Parnassus in Nashville. Faulkner House in NOLA. Chop Suey books in Richmond, VA.

A fabulous bookstore this is. So cozy and bright it is inside with fantastic ventilation. Along with the soothing background music, one can easily stay for hours to browse, to attend a reading, or to shop. Beautifully displayed are the new releases at the front table. Intriguing are their staff's reviews on novels they're recommending. A mix of new, classic and cutting edge literature to be explored. Without a doubt, for my next read, which is within every few days, here I'll be. Loving that I can always depend on all the recommendations given from their incredibly astute and knowledgeable staff. I miss their location on Preston. That store size was bigger and I just loved the layout they had created but their new location is cozier and smaller. I love a small book shop because despite how small they are they have such an amazing selection of books. I love popping in for a book. One of my favorite indie bookstores in the DFW area. I highly recommend it!

I was on the hunt for a book for a couple of weeks. Online retailers were out of stock. None of the big box stores even carried the title. After realizing that this is an uncommon book, I called around. Interabang had a copy and offered to hold it for me! Opening the bright blue door and walking into the store for the first time was a pleasant experience. I was asked to wear a mask; staff were being extra cautious during this phase of the pandemic. I didn't have one with me, so they kindly offered to give me one. Books are clearly organized, and trinkets and shelf candy were also for sale (ray gun bookends, anyone?) The book selection was, frankly, fantastic. I am grateful that a shop like this exists in DFW. You'll be paying MSRP for every title, but you've gotta support local, right? There were so many titles I was able to add to my Goodreads "want to read" list that I had never encountered before. The staff were courteous and friendly while I was browsing, and were also open to help me with any questions. If you cannot find your title of choice, Interabang offers book ordering services to the store and even to your home. Cool. A couple of things that could be improved: 1. The handwritten staff book notes were cute, but often illegible. Perhaps allow the staff member with the best handwriting to produce the cards? I'm sure the written reviews are helpful! Just wish I could read them. 2. I am 6'5" tall. The lowest shelves are only a few inches off the floor. I understand not everyone is as tall as I am but I would love to be able to comfortably browse that 1/3 of the store inventory. Enjoy the experience of going to Interabang and grabbing that hard to find book! I can't wait to return :)

Awesome book store in Dallas! Recently started reading again and the staff was more than happy to give recommendations!

This was my first visit to this bookstore and the look of it was great but that went south quickly! I went for the Tracy Wolff book signing. They couldn't accommodate for the fan base, they stopped her mid question to tell her only 2 more, then cut her off multiple times while signing and taking pictures to ask how much longer. The lady stood by her table with arms crossed and an annoyed face. She began rearranging the shelves and having people move, making it even worse. It was the most uncomfortable signing I've attended. The author was kicked out, due to time, I didn't get my book signed in the store but the author, happily, grabbed a table outside and finished signing books and taking pictures. I'm am avid book lover but will not be purchasing from this bookstore.

Amazing, personalized service. I was surprised to see their attention to detail, noting the small details I had requested during my online order, and then went above and beyond to make it happen. Plus, it feels nice to support a local, independent bookstore.

This place had a feature article in Texas Highways magazine, and I absolutely had to check it out. Immediately upon entering, the warm and friendly staff greeted me and were extremely helpful. Can't remember the last time I paid full price for a book, but I wanted to honor my gracious host for the hospitality. They have regular events such as book signings. Seriously y'all, I know you can "buy that cheaper at Amazon" but you get what you pay for. Interabang is an indie bookstore that caters to readers of all genres and doesn't just stick to the best sellers. PLEASE support your local indie bookstores! So many have gone out of business and cities and towns are the worse off from the loss of these gems.

I LOVE reading. I LOVE bookstores. I LOVE libraries. I basically love anything related to books. So when visiting my family in Dallas for the Christmas holiday, my dad and little sister said there was a bookstore they just HAD to take me to. So after doing a little grocery shopping at Central Market, we popped into Interabang. And they were right - I was impressed. It is one of the prettiest bookstores I've ever shopped in. Seriously, it looks like a bookstore that should be attached to an art museum. It's open and bright with shelves only on the exterior walls of the main room (there are more bookshelves in the back area), which gives the room an open feeling and (I imagine) leaves space for readings and author events. And they had a great selection of book! I decided to let myself pick out one book as "souvenir" and I had a hard time picking! Simply a beautiful store.

I haven't visited this store but called to see if they had the books I had been driving around town looking for and the customer service over the phone was impeccable. I plan to actually visit just off that. Customer service is so hard to come by nowadays that I had to write a review just off the phone conversation and taking time to look for the books. They got also suggested a special order since they weren't in stock at their store. Thank you!

My co-worker works here and I went for the store's 2nd anniversary party. Omg what an amazing book store!!!! Wow, beautiful really! Perfect size too!! They have popular items and unique selections. They also sell little gifts as well! Great place check it out!!!

Interabang has a very well curated collection, it's as if every book in every section was chosen for a reason, without a bunch of filler. If you're looking for a recent publication, they probably have it. If you are searching a general topic without a particular book in mind, you'll likely find interesting options you didn't know existed. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful and it's obvious that they're passionate about reading. They also have "Staff Recommended" postcards with handwritten synopses which led me to an awesome book of poetry I'd have probably never looked at otherwise. In addition to this, their prices are all reasonable. They've really nailed the book shopping experience all around and made it fun again!

There is such a need for a good independent bookstore. Interabang has a really neat selection, it's a beautiful store and a great location. I have bought several books there over the last couple of months and not once has anyone asked to help, offered any suggestions, or engaged in conversation while I am checking out. While this is a neat bookstore, it could be so much better with the right employees. Customer service is an important part of making any independent store stay in business.

I was so excited to visit this bookstore after hearing about it from my stylist. As someone who appreciates literature and the old-fashioned hard copy book, I was thrilled to learn of a new independent bookstore in Dallas. I love supporting local businesses as much as possible so this seemed like a perfect place for me. The interior is quite charming, and I absolutely loved the staff recommendation section. It's definitely a place one could wander in for hours, enjoying the diverse collection. Unfortunately, the customer service was very lacking on the day of my visit. I wandered through aisles for over 30 minutes and not one employee asked if they could assist me. I even made eye contact and smiled at one lady as she walked past me and she continued without saying a word. In a day and age when printed books and independent bookstores are almost a thing of the past, in extremely disappointed that no one offered to help. I decided to purchase two books and even had to ask someone to please check me out. She did so without asking how I was doing, if I found everything okay and don't offer a farewell salutation. I enjoyed their selection and would be willing to visit again to see if I had a different experience, but I won't be recommending to anyone else yet based off my first visit.

We visited this bookstore yesterday for the first time since moving to dallas and loved it! It's such a big bookstore and everything is so well marked and easy to find. They also have a lot of the newer titles displayed at the front of the store for easy browsing. And their kids section was very cute. We'll definitely be back for more!

This is a brand new independent bookstore. Their shelves are still a bit empty, but they have some variety. Topics ranging from science, mystery, sci-fi, a small collection of comics, lots of children's book. If you enjoy books and like to support local independent businesses I definitely recommend this place.

We love Interabang books! We actually heard about this place from Deep Vellum books in Deep Ellum (another great bookstore!). We have visited 3 times so far since the grand opening. My kiddo wishes we lived there. It truly is a magical place for any bookworm. When you first walk in there is display wall of books to the right with handwritten summaries/thoughts about that particular book. A great way to grab your interest and attention. They are all so interesting! They have a comfy seating area next to the display for your convenience. The entire store is open and just beautiful. The kids' area is so cute and colorful with a little stage for story time. All of the staff were super friendly. Also, outside of the restroom is a counter with monthly lists of independent books with reviews/synopsis. Super handy for trying to figure out which book to read next. Love it! So glad North Dallas has an awesome independent bookstore! Eager to share this place with our friends and family! Can't wait to visit here again!

October was my first time at this bookstore, and I have to say that it was an amazing experience! I was there for the Tabitha Brown book signing and had purchased my ticket/book in advance online at the store. I called to find out if they had accommodations for people with disabilities. I was told that they would certainly see what they could do and informed me to call when I arrived in the parking lot. To make a long story short, I was escorted by my son and immediately got discouraged by the extremely long line that had formed well before the doors were to open. When we arrived the staff beckoned for me to enter ahead of everyone else, held the door for us, offered us a chair and water. As Mrs. Brown was finishing greetings with some personal friends, they said to me "She is ready to see you now." As I walked towards my role model, l I began to cry and received the biggest warmest hug from her, and was even allowed to video tape and take pictures with her! This was a gift from my son for my 60th birthday and Interabang staff and Mrs. Brown made it epic! My family and I will be making future book purchases from your location. As with most people during this pandemic, I am very cautious about being in crowds and thanks to you we practically had to store to ourselves! Thank you for going above and beyond in customer service and for amazingly personalizing my experience. I wish your bookstore much success.

Just opened a few months ago amidst considerable media hype, Interabang Books bills itself as a community-centered, independent book store. However, whether the store lives up to the hype and image is a matter of personal taste and expectations. This store, for many, will fall short of the idealized image of the iconic, truly-independent book store. Independent via self-promotion and merely-in-fact by way of not being part of a chain operation, this store fails to measure up as progressive or eclectic in any sense. This is no Tattered Cover Book Store (Denver), a Powell's (Portland), or an Elliott Bay Book Company (Seattle). Independent should also mean independence of thought and convention. Here you will not find a diverse cultural experience via books or charming atmosphere. Although you may find a few novels and assorted titles not seen at Barnes & Noble, the selection and reach of literary titles and non-fiction categories is limited, especially in the critical thinking areas of politics, sociology, economics, science, religion, current affairs, etc., where subject titles are under-represented and alternative viewpoints sorely missing. The nature-science selection is dismal. You won't find much in the way of a Noam Chomsky, Richard Dawkins or other alternative-radical thinkers, the great philosophers, the unconventional. There is not even a whiff or trace of the great French salons where intellectuals and thinkers gathered to muse, question the status quo, or ponder the trajectory of society; no coffee or even a place to sit down, congregate, or relax. There is no showcase section for local authors where one often finds subjects of interest regarding local stories, characters, events, and happenings. Also there is little or no representation of independent and self-published authors where emerging authors and diversity thrives--giving this store an elitist taint. Both the store amenities and range of authors seems rather circumspect, even staid, if not politically correct. There is little here for the hip or cultural non-conformist: gay- lesbian, feminist, minorities, the non-religious, the independent thinker--indeed, not much to inspire the cross-town, diverse reader to make the trip. The store seems intended to cater to the north Dallas community of the affluent and conservative. If you are seeking a unique cultural experience look elsewhere. Even the Barnes & Noble across the street has a better and more diverse selection of titles. Surely a large, rich city like Dallas could come up with a better vision and model for a truly unique and iconic book store. As a so-called independent, Interabang is a major disappointment and not well suited to represent the more diverse interests, neighborhoods, and readers of the larger Dallas metroplex.

Like many of you, I'm always on the hunt for things that do not exist. I'm not talking about Bigfoot's Pet Rock collection, or the remains of the best roller disco in sunken Atlantis. I'm talking about a solid, independent bookstore that sells actual, physical rectangles full of words that people used to have on shelves in their houses. Truthfully, these types of stores have become elusive in recent years, seemingly going extinct with the rise of e-readers. Enter Interabang, an independent bookstore that continues the tradition of welcoming customers to a shop lined with shelves of major and minor literary releases. From the electronic mural that rotates out word bubbles spoken by the pop art motif on display, to the shelves of hand-picked recommendations by the staff, it's clear this is a place that values a more customer-focused approach with a slight (but not abrasive) edge. And the DFW area is all the better for it. The first thing I noticed before walking in here on a Saturday afternoon was the little stand-up placard on display out front. It said something about how dinosaurs didn't know how to read, and now they're extinct. It may have been fatigue offset by four cups of coffee, but I thought that was way funnier than it should have been. So I stepped inside and found myself in a modern-looking store that had individual tables positioned in the main area with books stacked atop in displays, magazines sitting to the right and a wall of fiction disappearing into the expansive length of the shop on the left. Imagine a capital "L" that had too much to drink and is now standing on its head. That's kind of the shape of the store, with one long "hallway" extending into the distance, and an alcove jutting out to the right specifically for kids. As you head down the room, you'll come across that electronic display I mentioned earlier, and I'm going to assume that given the amount of space it has between it and the nearest table, this could double as the perfect spot for events, readings or book signings. There were a few staffers milling about, engaging the customers and striking up conversations here and there. They were all perfectly attentive without giving the impression they were stalking anyone through the aisles of the store. This is a good thing, as stalking tends to hinder any enjoyment when it comes to browsing through the pages of a book you never knew existed. And that's actually a good point to raise: despite the fact that the store is maybe a quarter of the size of your Barnes & Noble (or the Borders that occupied a few doors down in this same strip mall years ago), they have a surprising amount of books you will not typically find in your more recognizable bookstore. They even have a section dedicated to "birding," which I just learned is another term for bird watching. I was learning stuff just by walking around in this store! Of particular importance, to me, was the back left corner, seemingly dedicated to art, film and music books. I'm a huge film nerd, and an even bigger music snob. Seeing literal shelves of these books gave me a rush of euphoric satisfaction, and I got caught up in the moment with the display of 33 1/3 music books. Someone clearly has good taste who works here, as books focused on The Modern Lovers, Television, The Grateful Dead and Patti Smith were all featured prominently. However, I took it upon myself to put the Bruce Springsteen book on display back on the shelf and replace it with the book on Throbbing Gristle. It may end up being my token good deed for the year, or it may go unnoticed for millennia. Either way, it seemed appropriate. Despite my realistically failed attempts at broadening the horizons of "people who may happen to stumble into the 'music' section of a bookstore one Saturday afternoon," Interabang has done the seemingly impossible and made physical books enticing in the rapid-fire world we live in. If you've been around the metroplex long enough to recall Legacy Books, you will be excited to hear Interabang feels like that place's younger sibling: eager to live up to their older, more seasoned relative, but wanting to be unique and stand out due to their own abilities. It's a fantastic bookstore and a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I'm all about breaking the shackles forced upon me by chain bookstores, and Interabang is excellent proof that independent bookstores are SO much better than the larger chains we've been dependent on. When I visited, there was a signing that was finishing up (some news anchor personality) but the vibe was welcoming, and you could tell the employees really value being a part of a customer's experience in finding their next read. The gal that rang my purchase up was so friendly and invited me to join one of their book clubs. As an out-of-towner, I found myself feeling like I belonged there, I was sad to decline such an offer, because I felt that the Interabang Books employees were really bookish people. Stop in if you get a chance!

I went to Interabang last Saturday for a book signing for Stassi Schroeder on her new book. I was super excited because I saw all of Stassi's book tour posts on how she got to interact with fans, they stood in line and were able to take her picture and laugh with her. This was a completely different experience here in Dallas. This might not have been the book stores fault but maybe Stassi's publicist but when we arrived there was no line (which was great) but they were shoving us through the process like we were a heard of cattle. The screen was faced back towards the wall so the only time we could see her was when we were pushed to take the photo in which I had no time to even look at her because I was pushed out. Definitely not what I had paid for and not what had been promised on the ticket. Super disappointed and everyone that was in the store at the time felt the same way.

My new favorite bookstore! They have the most extensive selection of children's art books I have ever seen. I was blown away! I have browsed at many art museums and independent bookstores that all seem paltry in comparison. The staff was helpful, friendly, and welcoming to my kids. It's a great bookstore. I will definitely be back.

Interabang is a small independent bookstore in a shopping center that offers folks an alternative to Barnes and Noble or Amazon. They have a nice selection of books, gifts, and knick-knacks. I came here to attend a book signing by an author I have been a long-time fan of. Interabang requires that customers make a purchase at the store to get their books signed, which is a policy I understand and support. As I already owned the book being promoted, I decided to purchase a different book by the author. Interabang ordered the book for me, and it arrived in time for the signing. The signing itself was a great event. The author talked and answered questions for about an hour after which we lined up for signings. I had both my new book and already owned book signed by the author. Interabang has a tradition of having visiting authors sign the back of one of the folding chairs. The signing was well-attended and well-organized by the shop. Since we live in Austin, I don't think we'll be visiting Interabang too often, but I will keep an eye out for signings that I would like to attend. I would definitely return for the right author.

I'm giving Interabang 3* due to their author events but this morning was the 2nd time I went in to buy a specific book and was ignored by the staff. I want to support independent book stores, but when the ease of shopping and customer service is right across the street, they are making it impossible to justify the headache. Purchased The Masterpiece by Fiona Davis this morning at Barnes & Noble! Oh Well!

We just discovered this delightful bookstore on the southeast corner of the Preston/Royal shopping area. What a great addition to our neighborhood and the whole of Dallas. We stopped in and found a book and some genius stationary that we bought. Curious about the name ?! Interabang refers to the rarely used punctuation mark that is a combination of the question mark and the exclamation mark overlayed on each other. The interior is light, pleasantly designed with space to sit and preview books. There are loads of books on all subjects and a huge selection of fiction. Also, young adult books and a humongous area of children's selections. There are personal recommendation sign cards throughout the shelves by the staff/owners for new or perhaps obscure titles that detail why that particular book made them happy to read. I could see myself checking in weekly to see what's new in books. A small but well curated selection of stationary and accessories for readers rounds out the inventory.

First time at this store tonight. Really cool place. The look and feel is very professional but also inviting. Much more comfortable than big stores like Barnes & Noble which feels like the Best Buy of books. Favorite difference about this place is the handwritten random notes reviewing the books. They know what they are talking about about you will not find that at other stores. Definitely try them out.

Finally Dallas has an easy-to-access, independent bookstore with a copious collection and variety of topics. The staff is quite friendly, knowledgeable and wants to help. What's unique is the delightful mixture of the mainstream books found in generic book superstores, paired with less available--but high quality--publishers such as Europa, World Noir, and Texas authors like Walt Gragg (The Red Line--no, not a western, but a World War III thriller I couldn't put down). The environment is clean, new, warm and features a thorough children's section as well. Comfortable furniture and benches encourage perusing. It may be a 30 minute drive from my house, but it will be my first stop for any of my future reading needs.

Beautiful store, knowledgable staff. They have a lovely selection of books, much wider than most children's sections in a chain store. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. The store also hosts a variety of author events and children's story times which are fun to attend.

I LOVE independent book stores. Except this one. On my first and LAST visit, I bought over $200.00 in books. I started to write a check, and was very rudely told "We don't take checks". I looked for a sign stating such, there was none. I asked if I was missing it, and again, was RUDELY told "No, but we just don't". I asked if he wanted the sale or not. He said" well, OK. And Huffed... I wrote my first and last check at this place. If you are the owner, this idiot should be fired. PS: I buy over $20,000.00 in books a year. That is why I write checks. It is one of my businesses...

I have visited this store a few times for author events. The store is somewhat small and congested. The selection of non-fiction books is limited. For a better selection of non-fiction you will likely need to go to Barnes & Noble across the street. The store seems to concentrate on fiction. For an independent book store, it is lacking in several areas.

Fabulous independent bookstore; what a delight to visit a store that employs people who read and can recommend new authors and books. In addition to a great selection of books; there are fun greeting cards, stationary, candles and other gift items with competitive prices. Fun childrens' section.

FINALLY a fantastic independent bookstore in Dallas. Well-curated yet comprehensive selection, staff recommendations pull out selections that are new to avid readers. Fantastic children's section, large selection and fun, quirky space to browse. Light, spacious interior with nice places to sit. Travel to Dallas frequently for work, and have kept searching for a bookstore like this (like visiting Deep Vellum but it's small), what a great addition to North Dallas.
