InterContinental Century City Chengdu

The room assigned to me was old, smelly and tight with an unnecessary structure which used up a lot of space. The air conditioning unit is unspeakable, noisy and silly. When a temperature is set it cuts off completely when the temperature is reached. Resulting in big drop of noice level. When the temperature heats up the air conditioning cuts in again and starting to be noisy again. Truly the worst Intercontinental hotel I have stayed.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at InterContinental Century City Chengdu, where I booked the Executive 1-Bedroom Suite with Club InterContinental lounge access. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the contrast between the hotel's modern exterior architecture and the rich, traditional Chinese design inside. Stepping into the lobby and my suite felt like being transported into an ancient Chinese palace, with stunning intricate woodwork, elegant décor, and a warm, cultural ambiance.||||My Executive Suite was incredibly spacious (108 sqm), featuring panoramic city views, a deep soaking tub, a separate living area, and luxurious Byredo amenities. Every detail was well thought out, making my stay both comfortable and indulgent.||||One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the beautiful tea house located just above the breakfast restaurant. Even though it was indoors, the design—with trees, shaded areas, and ornate details—made it feel like a tranquil outdoor retreat.||||The gym was quite large and well-equipped, perfect for maintaining a fitness routine. While the property doesn't have a pool, it makes up for it with a full-service onsite spa for relaxation. Plus, its prime location next to the Chengdu Century City Convention Center makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.||||Overall, I loved my experience here—elegant, comfortable, and rich in culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chengdu!

I have been stay in this hotel many times. Summer is my customer manager. Every time there is a very warm welcome before my stay. And all things are settled before my checkin. What I need to do is just enjoy stay in intercontinental hotel and focus on my business. Thank you very much especially Summer

Top notch. Business trip, excellent 5 star room and services. Plenty of choice for food. Tea area upstairs is an excellent option.

The service was excellent. When I informed the staff that need not to clean my room because I will be working in the room, the staff brought me a plate of fruits. Wonderful services.The hotel lobby is bright & airy, very high ceiling, & connected to other restaurants, Teahouse, shopping or services via backyard, very convenient

Had an amazing stay at IC Chengdu Century City. As an IHG Diamond Ambassador, we were upgraded to a King Jr Suite with a dining area and a spectacular view of the Global Center. The bathroom was fantastic, featuring a twin shower and a whirlpool bathtub. The indoor "garden" restaurant was also spectacular, with lush trees and birds creating a unique atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed an evening at the hotel bar with our welcome drinks, where a band played cover songs. The band was perfect for the occasion! The lounge was nice, though the selection was a bit limited. We were very grateful to be able to leave some luggage at the concierge for a few days before check-in, which saved us from having to carry it around. All in all, this might have been our best experience at any InterContinental hotel so far. Absolutely nothing to complain about!
