InterContinental Century City Chengdu

A decent Intercontinental property in Chengdu, it is not a new hotel, but it retains a certain degree of class and grandeur. The lobby restaurant with real trees and real birds is very pleasant, and add the design of the tea house upstairs, it all makes for a very very nice ambience. Club Intercontinental is big, service was a mixed bag, some staff like Maggie, Yulia, Shirley were awesome, while some were not well trained and were simply not interested. The cuisine standards were good, but if only they knew how to keep the food warm, what a waste. Housekeeping staff were all awesome, nothing is too difficult, laundry service was excellent, the gym was very functional with good staff, like Lucy for eg. Rooms are good, and functional, although some parts showing some wear and tear, but no big problem to me. No pool at this hotel, location is ok, there is a huge park opposite , and the global center mall is aobut a 15 minute walk away. Concierge staff were helpful . REception staff who checked us in , Verity, was amazing. The restaurant staff were all very good, except for the egg station crew who needed a bit more training, but they were very nice and pofessional. OVerall, thank you to all the staff.

I love staying at this hotel! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is really kind and helpful. Additionally, the rooms are comfortable and nice. It has some nice touches that makes the stay worthwhile. I also loved the breakfast buffet. I definitely recommend!

The overall check-in experience was good. My butler, Giri Zheng, provided excellent service, being gentle and patient. He recommended many Chengdu delicacies to me and always addressed me as Mr. Kai. The room was clean and spacious, and I was very satisfied.

Got free comped breakfast, most of it was not very good. Some unpleasant fragrances used, smoky corridors, and a hint of off smell in the room. An okay hotel if you can get it cheap, much better than Renaissance Chengdu.

I chose InterContinental for my business trip! The nice staff Giri Zheng.contacted and arranged the room in advance. The hotel is strategically located, just a few minutes' walk to the business district, Intime, and the Twin Towers, making it extremely convenient for travel. They even addressed me by name, "Mr. Mark," so I will definitely choose this place again next time

When traveling to Chengdu with my family, we chose the InterContinental Chengdu. The room was quite spacious, quiet, and well-soundproofed. There are also many dining options nearby. My butler, Giri Zheng, affectionately called me "Mrs. Alice". Next March, when I come to Chengdu on business, I will continue to stay here🌹🌹🌹

Great place to stay in Chengdu. Rooms are nice and service is great also. Breakfast buffet has a lot of options including traditional Sichuan cuisine.

The room assigned to me was old, smelly and tight with an unnecessary structure which used up a lot of space. The air conditioning unit is unspeakable, noisy and silly. When a temperature is set it cuts off completely when the temperature is reached. Resulting in big drop of noice level. When the temperature heats up the air conditioning cuts in again and starting to be noisy again. Truly the worst Intercontinental hotel I have stayed.
