The hotel is very elegant and has a nice, huge lobby where we can entertain our friends when they come to visit with scrumptious food and dessert. It is highly appreciated that staff is very warm and accomodating allowing us to order late at night even if it closing time already. A big shout out to Askale and Katia from the lobby although all of them were very warm and kind. Mark from Concierge was extremely very very helpful, patient and kind. He is quite passionate with his job. He took care of us very well even bringing us to the taxi to make sure the taxi knows where to take us. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Rooms are spacious as well and the beds were very comfortable letting us sleep well through the night.

Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Price We stayed for three nights and, unfortunately, found the experience quite disappointing. While the doormen were consistently friendly and welcoming, the reception staff fell short — often curt and unhelpful. One receptionist even snapped, “Do you mind me using the desk?” as I was speaking with a colleague, in an unnecessarily rude tone. The only member of staff who stood out for their kindness and professionalism was the concierge, Victor. He was thoughtful, helpful, and gave us great local tips — a bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming experience. When we arrived at our room, an extra bed had been set up for our daughter — which came with a £60 per night surcharge. Shockingly, the sheets and pillow on that bed had visible bloodstains. Thankfully, the staff member who set up the bed was kind and quickly replaced the linens. On our final night, our room was disturbed by loud music well past 11:30 p.m. We could clearly hear songs like “Sweet Caroline” playing. When we called down, we were told — with an apology — that the music would continue for another 30 minutes. They did waive the extra bed fee for that night, which we appreciated. We love London and can’t wait to return — but we won’t be staying here again. For the price, the service and quality simply didn’t measure up.

Had the most amazing afternoon tea, and free flowing champagne which was a birthday treat for a friend. The delightful Olivia attended to our every need and was such a well spoken, well travelled and extremely informative member of staff. She gave us a thorough run through of the many ‘Royally themed’ picnic inspired afternoon tea delights. It was an absolute pleasure to be in the company of such a delightful young lady. She is an absolute credit to the establishment and they are very lucky to have her. I would definitely recommend afternoon tea at this hotel, it was fantastic.

The hotel and Staff were amazing! Easy check in, wonderful bell/Valet Staff. Everything was perfect for our 3-night stay prior to our cruise. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable to stay. Great location. Can't say enough of how great all the staff was. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Google
Very cozy room, not the usual small rooms that I have stayed in in the past in London at other hotels. Wonderful staff. I would absolutely stay here again. |What I appreciated the most is that we were able to get into our room very early because our flight was short and landed early which meant no sleep on the plane. The staff in the breakfast room were also so accomodating for our early morning departures. I highly recommend this hotel

Google
We stayed in a refurbished room - dubbed the ‘Mayfair floor’ rooms - for two nights in a classic room. We paid extra for club lounge access. Overall the stay was ok - the room was comfortable and quiet. It’s not large for two people.||My birthday wasn’t acknowledged at all (so surprised by this) - in my room or in the club lounge. Found this a bit odd for a 5 star hotel.||I found the club lounge the best bit about the hotel. Fantastic views, breakfast, afternoon tea and early evening drinks and nibbles - all better than I was expecting.||The location is great for London.

Google
What a fantastic stay! Even before my arrival, I was already impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the reservations team. A special thank you to Mrudula, Constance, and Meenal for their attentive and helpful communication throughout the booking process.||From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. Alina, Amanda at the front desk, Mathew from concierge, and Freddy and Fernanda in the restaurant — each one went above and beyond. Freddy and Fernanda made breakfast a daily pleasure, remembering my preferences and welcoming me each morning with a smile. That’s the kind of thoughtful service that truly makes a guest feel at home.||The hotel’s location couldn’t be more ideal — just steps from the tube with easy access to all of London, including a direct route to Heathrow.||The rooms are beautifully designed, with elegant furnishings and excellent lighting. Small details made a big difference — like the heated, fog-free bathroom mirror, the in-room coffee machine, and complimentary bottled water refreshed daily.||I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will absolutely be returning. The InterContinental London Park Lane will be my go-to choice whenever I’m in the city.

My family stayed for a week. Location and staff were fantastic. The common areas are beautiful, the rooms were clean, but could use some updating (had adjoining premium king rooms). The beds, pillows and bedding were very comfy. Lighting was dim and moody (which we enjoy) but not adjustable and made getting ready, especially in the bathroom rather difficult. The temperature and thermostat was great, one of the best we’ve ever encounters in a hotel. The bar staff was supper nice, made great drinks and even remembered what we liked from night to night. I would say the breakfast was just meh, expected a little better quality, but it worked (omelettes and pancakes were very good) and while the coffee was good, it took half way through breakfast to get your first cup every single day. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and would recommend it.

Yelp
Always an enjoyable stay and the staff, from front door through to restaurant, are a delight to deal with. Rooms are to a high standard, which you'd expect, and a missing iron and ironing board was promptly replaced. There's a huge choice of places to stay in central London and this remains one of the better establishments.

Yelp
Nice hotel, I'd stay here again, in a lovely part of town, on Park Lane, and with cute little streets of Mayfair tucked in right behind you. The building is newer (which in London means 50 years old or so) with real elevators, a nice lobby, solid lobby bar and food service. The room was nice, if small, but it had a nice bed and a nice desk (hard to find) which is all the business traveler needs. The HVAC was a nightmare but numerous calls and a visit from Engineering fixed it after several days. I was in a Mayfair class room and I suspect Mayfair in this instance just means "renovated." Not sure about the regular rooms.

Yelp
We had High Tea here and it was delightful. From the wonderful staff to the delicious foods, it was one of the best High Teas we've had! Crystal was a very attentive and knowledgeable wait staff! Would highly recommend adding this to your itinerary!

Yelp
Stayed here this summer and absolutely loved the proximity to Hyde Park and all of the other attractions. The service and the staff were nothing short of superlative. I particularly liked the door men and their willingness to get us to where we needed to get even though they were times when we didn't even know where we were going. The nicest thing was that they were so willing to assist with recommendations. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spacious and well laid out. For the rest of our trip we actually selected smaller hotels but we were really spoiled by this being the one we started with. Highly recommend

Yelp
This gorgeous hotel in London provides an elegant experience for Afternoon Tea that is just simply exquisite. This beautiful hotel is located right next to many popular London landmarks and overlooking the royal parks. You truly cannot beat the overall ambiance and experience. In full disclosure, I am not much of a tea drinker so I honestly had no clue what to do when making a tea selection here. The waiter, Stephan, was absolutely fabulous and made some incredible recommendations. He not only was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, he went above and beyond to take some high quality photos for us at many angles to capture the memories of this unique experience. The menu is outstanding as well. We did the Royal-Tea which consists of a range of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts "fit for a queen". It truly was amazing. Standouts were the free range coronation chicken, curry mayonnaise, and apricot sandwich, the combination of the jam and Devon clotted cream for the scones, and the decor of the desserts were absolutely adorable. We also purchased rose champagne to pair with the meal and it genuinely made the experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone that has the time and financial (it is a bit pricey, but completely worth it!) ability to do so! It was one of the most memorable experiences I've had cuisine wise abroad.

Yelp
The hotel is in a fabulous location and it's a good hotel. But there are so many others I would look at first. They only have a gym, a bar and restaurant. The place inside is pretty but for the cost the toiletries are nothing special and the rooms are not really decorated.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Well located and had a good gym. Breakfast pretty good with poor service. Bar downstairs a bit small. Would return for Business.

Yelp
There was one big error at intercontinental that undid all of the goodwill intercontinental built up over the years. It happened in the summer of 2018 when I was traveling from one intercontinental property to another (New York-Chicago-London-Paris). Somehow this group had me booked in 2 cities for the same night. To make matters worse, there was somehow a "non-cancellable" room in all of this. Not only did they double book me, they insisted that I pay for TWO FULL NIGHTS even though SOMEONE knew I was not showing up for the first night. So, two errors on top of each other. BUT given I was personally or indirectly responsible for at maybe 20 nights a month for me and my group, I figured it would be settled and no big deal. WRONG. They didn't care. And I haven't since stayed there either. Months have passed. No attempt to fix anything. So, for all you intercontinental people out there, I don't know what's wrong here, but I suspect it's because the central organization has little power over the individual properties. And why do you have "loyalty" if the group doesn't show "loyalty"? Just know that this apple might appear attractive, but it's rotten on the inside.

Yelp
Great location. Good walking distance to all the key sites throughout London. Added bonus of walking to Hyde park in the mornings. Nice accommodations and good service

Yelp
Fantastic service. Really attentive. The Terrace Restaurant is beautiful and the waiters were very warm and personable.

Yelp
Central location on Park Lane within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, shopping, museums, Trafalgar Square. Easy access from the Hyde Park Station of the Underground. Have stayed there couple of times in the past and every time the stay has been absolutely lovely. The lobby has the modern décor and they always have huge fresh flower arrangements which they keep changing are beautiful always. Their service, staff are friendly, doorman always smiles and greets everyone. However their rooms always had a mixed review - this time the water in the bathroom sink was getting stuck and the shower tub had a few problems as well. Still overall its better than many of the London hotels we've stayed in. We'll stay here again but this time ask for a better room.

Yelp
Don't let this pass you by. Elegant, refined, delicate, subtle, boozy, and eternally memorable.

Yelp
We stayed here for three nights using IHG points and free Chase night. Based on the fact our stay was basically free I didn't expect a stellar room, but even the most basic room here is very elegant and fancy. The rooms are classically beautiful, though not as modern as other Intercontinental Hotels I've stayed at in the States. I would say the basic rooms are larger than the average European hotel. Slightly smaller than US hotel rooms, but will do for any couple. Our view was an ugly interior view, so ask for something better when you check-in. The little benefits here make the stay fantastic. Every day we were given addictive shortbread cookies, free glass-bottled water, and fresh fruit. It was delightful to see what we were given each day. While the location is close to things, the fact that it is near some larger vehicle only roads makes getting to the Hyde Park Corner station more of a pain than it should be. You can't cross many of the roads directly and instead need to go down and up under the roads. This is not fun with bags, though I assume most of the people that stay here are using car services to get around. The clientele was certainly of the ilk that shop at Harrod's. Check-in was excellent as the front desk staff, and really all the staff are helpful and professional. One thing that is odd is that the front doors aren't automatic and the doormen were often missing. Additionally, right when you walk in the front doors there are no ramps so you have to carry your bags down the stairs. An odd way to start your luxury hotel experience. I would easily stay here again on points, by due to the oddness in walking to the tube from here, if I had to pay I'd likely find similarly priced hotels in better proximity to the tube.

Yelp
Stayed here for a few nights just after the new year to end our two week vacation in Europe. Check-in was flawless and the front desk agent was incredibly friendly and helpful (I wish I could remember his name; he was a young French gentleman). Don't expect any special upgrades or perks at this property unless you've paid for Ambassador status (I'm Spire Elite which didn't count for anything.) Our room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the quirky detail of being able to turn on the television volume inside the bathroom, haha. The location is great. We walked all the way to the British Gallery in half an hour. For anything farther, there is a tube stop right by the hotel, and the more useful Green Park station is less than 10 minutes away by foot. The original Hard Rock is next door and the small "museum" under the gift shop is a fun visit.

Yelp
This hotel bar is the best. We went here because we often go to the Intercontinental hotel in Times Square on Friday nights for their fabulous drinks. This one in London did not disappoint. The bartender "Leonardo" is the best! He did a Lychee martini that was "Devine". And it wasn't even on their cocktail menu. We had been at Stonehenge and touring all day. We needed great drinks. And Leonardo made the best drinks for us. Thank you Leonardo we will go back next time we're in London!

Yelp
This review is for the afternoon tea service, not the hotel stay - but I'd come back here any day! Situated right by Hyde Park, you know it must be posh! However, given the location, this afternoon tea service is very affordable. When you walk into the lounge, there are large windows, well lit, and the decor is very elegant. Definitely made me feel like I was a baller.. at least for a day :) There are 3 menus to choose from, priced at £28 and £38. The Wellington Tea £28 - would be your standard selection of sandwiches, except it was much nicer! Spanish ham with fig and cheese, ham and duck egg, spiced sardine. Botanical and Royal Tea £38 - depending on which one you chose, the savoury sandwiches included smoked trout, eel, coronation chicken + mango, lobster and shrimp with caviar. Desserts included macarons, eton mess shortbread, coffee mousse and walnut torte.. and it comes with a cocktail or champagne. Our party of 6 opted for a mix of Botanical and Royal Teas, and I don't think we were disappointed with anything. Service was excellent, I think I liked all the sandwiches! Again, I'm not big on desserts / sweets, so I didn't bother eating half my desserts. Though those who do have a sweet tooth, weren't *too* impressed with the selection. Either way, it was a great experience. OH, their teas were really good! I find that the tea selection is usually the standard English breakfast, earl grey, chamomile, etc. However, this hotel had several different blends, and my favorite was their house blend - I forget what its called, but its delicious! I think you can even purchase tea leaves from them as well. For such a classy and elegant hotel, I feel that this is a great value afternoon tea service. Even for the standard tea, which would normally cost £30-35 at other places (and with very normal sandwiches), this is a steal.

Yelp
Oh my goodness stop. This place is so nice. They were so awesome. So elegant, so spoiled, so gracious. Amazing! Unforgettable! If you go there a lot props to you man! Great hotel! Close to the tube but methinks most of y'all are not arriving on the tube! lol Best wishes fancy people! Give this hotel a try! They have really nice bars in it - I really loved Ella Canta. Beautiful rooms. Everything was great.

Zachary M.

Yelp
I have never had such a dusty room before. Also, the food has been horrible. Their TVs don't even run movies in HD yet, and I've never seen such a limited selection of movies at a hotel. I'd recommend finding somewhere else. I'm baffled at how this place earned a 5 star hotel rating

Yelp
We stopped by the bar for a late night dessert and drink. It was quiet and comfy. The waitress was very nice. And of course, the dessert was amazing! The rich chocolate cake was paired perfectly with the tangy orange and creamy ice cream.

Yelp
Great hotel with outstanding service, gorgeous views and premier location. Club Lounge is one of the best in Europe. Always enjoy returning there.

Yelp
This hotel, and the abysmal treatment I have received at Marriott hotels over 30 years of relentless travel, is why I always try to stay at an Intercontinental Hotel, wherever I travel. I stayed at the Intercontinental Hyde Park for business and found myself at the hotel over a weekend. I am an avid photographer and wanted to spend a day taking photographs of the Cutty Sark at Greenwich. While I was not traveling with a good camera (SLR with aperture, speed and zoom settings), I had myself convinced that I could find a used camera at a reasonable price on Saturday and do my Cutty Sark visit on Sunday. I thought I could use the camera once and donate it to someone after the trip. I asked the concierge if he knew a place where I could buy a good, used camera. I believe his name was, 'Peter'. He directed me to some shops near an art museum. I went off to do my camera shopping. I was surprised to find all of the cameras I was interested in cost far more than any similar SLR I had purchased new many years before. It seems they had all become collectors items. My plan was thwarted. I returned to the hotel. I saw the same concierge as I arrived at the Intercontinental and he asked whether I was successful or not. I recounted my story. I said I had several simple, but nice SLRs at home that sit unused on a shelf, due to their older technology, but, which would have done the job nicely. He agreed and said he had a similar camera sitting at home, unused for years. I told him how surprised I was that the cameras I looked at cost so much. He agreed. "Wait," he said. "If I lent you my unused SLR from home, would you use it?" I told him that I certainly would, but that he need not go out of his way. "Not to worry," he told me, "I am working tomorrow morning and will bring you the camera here at the hotel. I no longer use it. It would be good to see it get some use. Just return it to me when you are done." Wow! It worked like a charm. I spent the better part of the day in Greenwich and got some nice shots. I was to finish too late to return the camera that day, so I kept it another day. The camera had no case, so I went to a camera store and bought a nice padded, solid case for storing the camera. I returned the camera to the concierge the next day, along with the new case. Both the concierge and I were very happy with the result. When I was on the phone with my wife later, I told her the entire story. She was impressed. She agreed with me that never, in a million years, would a Marriott employee be so kind and trusting, nor so good a problem solver as the concierge at the Intercontinental Hyde Park Corner,. From that trip onward, I always made an effort to stay at Intercontinental Hotels. Later, after 9/11, when the Marriott chain raised its room rates to make up for the shortfall in volume and thus did their best to gouge business travelers, I swore off Marriott entirely and only stay at Intercontinental Hotels or boutiques. I have been a happy traveler as a result.

Yelp
Yes ... I am a fan and a loyal customer at the Intercontinental. Staying at this hotel, and having a special dinner with Bill Clinton at this hotel, was a highlight of 2012 for me. The Intercontinental hotel has a beautiful location in Mayfair. Lots of good views. The Club Room is terrific and the staff is clearly here to please their guests. They do an amazing job. Yes ... I will be back. With many fond memories of my week here this year, I can't wait to add more memories again.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel. Breakfast buffet was the best we've had on our 3 week UK trip. The bed was one of those giant beds with a down comforter with the crispy white sheets that everyone loves. Bathrooms had great plumbing and hot water. Large rooms. Pricey hotel though. The location is next to Green Park and Hyde Park Tube stations. Great for getting around. It's not in a great area for night life, because not much seems to be happening in that immediate area.

Yelp
Wonderful property in one of the greatest locations for tourists and business people alike. Restaurants are top notch as are the friendly and competent staff. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice home away from home while in London.

Yelp
Correspondence from my recent stay: On Aug 19, 2014, at 5:51 AM, Caroline Jillings wrote: Dear Mr Frye, Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey after your recent stay in our Hotel. I was somewhat concerned by your feedback and therefore wanted to investigate your comments in detail. As mentioned, we do have your calls logged in our Emergency system at both 5.29am & 6.05am. Your calls resulted in both our Guest Relations Manager and Hotel Security to proceed immediately to the location of the disturbance. We take all Emergency Calls very seriously and I can confirm that a verbal argument between two resident Hotel guests had taken place and had spilled out from their designated room into the corridor, which unfortunately did result in a disturbance. However I would like to assure you that the Hotel received No Complaint from the female guest the following morning. Unfortunately 'Domestic Disputes' do sometimes occur in Hotels and although we cannot prevent such incidents from taking place we can react and professionally manage the situation to ensure minimal disturbance results. Training is given to our Response Team Members as part of the Hotels "Duty of Care". Incidents of violence will not be tolerated in the Hotel and as such the Hotel would have no hesitation in involving the Police if such action was deemed necessary. The Hotel can only apologise for the guests selfish behaviour and for the lack of respect they showed to you and our other guests. Mr Frye, I hope my comments have highlighted how isolated this incident was and I feel very disappointed to note that based on this experience you may not choose to stay with us in future. That said should you reconsider when next coming to London, please do let me know your booking details and I will be happy to ensure your stay with us will be both comfortable one Kind Regards Caroline Jillings Director of Rooms INTERCONTINENTAL LONDON PARK LANE One Hamilton Place Park Lane London W1J 7QY UK Tel: +44 (0)20 7409 3131 Direct Dial: +44 (0)20 7318 8725 Fax: +44 (0)20 7493 3476 parklane.intercontinental.com My response: Hello Caroline, I appreciate your acknowledgment in regard to this matter. I understand that domestic disputes occur publicly and that it is often outside the parameters of hotel professionals to handle each case. At which point, police should be notified to handle a more serious situation. I want to clarify that my complaint is that the hotel did not manage the issue by alerting the police, thus placing hotel guests in possible danger. I called 'emergency', not 'the front desk' to attend to this matter. The lack of urgency resulted in my second call. It was not brought to my attention that this matter was being resolved, hence my attempt to resolve on my own regard. In my opinion, it is not the hotel's responsibility to remedy situations outside their abilities, but to ensure the safety of their guests, which did not occur in this case. In this situation, I did not feel safe and I expected it to be handled with urgent attention, not to take on the issue myself. Additionally, my experience in social worker is that it is standard for women whom are victims of domestic violence to deny the abuse in order to protect themselves. Realistically, it is no surprise that the female guest did not complain to the hotel front desk that her husband was violently beating her all night long; nothing would have been done and she'd be in greater harm. Ultimately, this seems to be a cultural dissimilarity. In the US we take issues of violence more seriously than other places apparently. I assure you this was a very threatening situation that left a serious impact and it was necessary that I reported the incident to the hotel establishment. My hope is that Intercontinental personnel take these issues more seriously moving forward to ensure the safely of their hotel guests. Regards, Ms. Frye ________________ Never heard back from the hotel group.

Yelp
Can only recommnd staying here if you like to chewed out by the concierge. Dan at the concierge desk was extremely rude and had no problem speaking rudely and telling me, the guest I'm wrong. Treatment was so rude I will never recommend anyone stay here unless they like to pay for rude treatment.

Yelp
Beautiful yet simple hotel sandwiched between Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, this Intercontinental was a pleasant surprise after having stayed at a cramped Holiday Inn up near Oxford-Circus. Service was impeccable and the room, while on the smaller end, was elegant and tastefully decorated, like much of London during the Christmas season. Staff were incredibly well-trained and attentive. I'd highly recommend this hotel for travelers, whether it be for vacation or for work.
google avatar

Euge R.

Yelp
Park Lane, yes like the Monopoly board as the friendly front desk representative uttered with a smile. Service was great and my rooms were as good as it gets in terms of the view. The room was very spacious with amenities and the bathroom all marble. It was nice having a Spa just a few feet feet from my room. After stepping out of the hotel after a door man wishes you a nice day or evening, in one direction is Piccadilly Circus, the other is Buckingham Palace, and just a few yards away is the famous Mayfair area and the Park. This hotel is definitely upscale in a modern way. My room was fabulous as it was in the corner and I had panoramic views on two sides of the room. While I was looking at one of my windows I caught a glimpse of the Queen in her Stage Coach going for a stroll into the park.

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel in London and worth a visit. The club lounge upstairs is amongst the best club lounges I have seen in any hotel.

Yelp
Came here for a hedge fund conference. Very nice venue in a good location. Doormen are good-humored, floors are nicely laid out. Nice views looking onto the street/Hyde Park Corner/Hyde Park. The bathrooms are clean and have moisterizing cream for after washing one's hands. The lunch and dinner I had here were both superb. I cannot comment on the rooms as I didn't stay here. But if you have the choice to come here for a conference, I would say go for it.
google avatar

Marco d.

Yelp
Unless you have an appointment or have an afternoon tea with the Queen or are invited for some official function at the Buckingham like Prince Harry's wedding, or are attending another Rolling Stones at Hyde Park, or are looking forward to having lunch or late-night drinks at Hard Rock Cafe, then the Intercontinental is the hotel for you. With that said, the Intercontinental is in a bit of a dead area of the city, even if Hyde Park Corner station is just a block away. We would have not stayed here if had we not used our AMEX points. Though our room's updated, any hotel that still has smoking rooms deserves no more than 3 stars. What's the point of making room reservations if they can't give what you have 'requested'?
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
Upscale location. Rooms could use an update...or maybe that's what upscale traditional English looks like. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Except one doorman. He kept asking if I was a resident at the hotel. Are you security or the guy that holds the door open? This was the tail-end of my 3 week european travels....I don't have the crispy-est laundry at the end. So I might not look like I belong. But I do. And I can't wait to recommend my friends that travel for business to other hotels that have properly trained staff...

Yelp
A basic room at this lovely hotel is as comfortable as the best rooms in any other I've been in. The staff is attentive and so professional, and I keep getting distracted by the incredible flower arrangements. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Great location; nice place. Relatively neutral in personality. Can't say I would be able to pick out this room if you moved it to any other city, but it really is comfortable and has world-class service. I'd be quite happy to stay here again. As with other hotels in London; paying an absurd amount for WiFi seems somewhat an insult after already spending several hundred dollars to stay. Don't nickel and dime me, just wrap it into the cost of the hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty overrated and definitely not what you expect from a 5 star or an intercontinental. -They put us in a smoking room. I hated that but they didn't have non-smoking rooms available. But at the same time, what are reservations for? -It was the smallest room I've been to. Instead of 2 double beds, it was 2 twin beds...you know, like a hostel or a b&b, not what I wanted. I stayed at the marriott a few days before for half the price and got 2 double beds. -Modern?? It must have been new a few years ago but everything has a distinct tinge to it by now. But maybe its because we were in the smoking room. -Amenities? No pool. No work out room. Spa was closed. Bah. Location-wise- Not everything is as close as you think. I wish there were more food places, shops and etc. around here but there isn't. You basically face more and more hotels. Its a 20 minute walk to victoria station. What a big overpriced mistake.

Yelp
We stayed here for only one night, but that was long enough to know that we would stay again. Our room was modern, large and quite comfortable. And the Park Lane area is absolutely fantastic. It's a short walk and tube ride to the heart of tourist London, or a slightly longer but very nice stroll through the park. Just don't take a cab -- the traffic is horrendous (as it is in much of downtown London!) There are numerous restaurants nearby, and the staff was attentive and pleasant. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and I am comfortable recommending it to others.

Yelp
I came to the Interconti to taste their new Spring Tea Palace Afternoon Tea and loved what was presented. The menu starts with a Bellini cocktail of fresh pineapple puree and Japanese sencha. A Tea cocktail? Sounded a bit dubious at first, but tasted luuurvely, great sign of a cocktail when you can't taste the alcohol!! Moving on to the food spread, Sandwiches, Scones and Cakes of course!! But married up fantastically to the tea flavours. The sandwiches include sea trout with pansy petals and lemon yoghurt, cucumber-chervil and duck egg, and spring chicken, asparagus and chevril mayonnaise. These sandwiches are amazing, I really hate cucumber but tried this sandwich and even went back for more. And who would have thought a chicken sandwich could taste so melt in the mouth delicious!! The scones and cakes were equally scrumptous and my favourite was the Pineapple mousse cake with Prickly Pear Jam, looks like a big green lump, but tastes devine! All this topped off with a green tea & lime sorbet, which you can feel cleansing your mouth, very refreshing. Executive Chef Paul Bates has done a great job on taking the effort to match the flavours of the Tea Palace tea to the food on offer. I would certainly take my mum here, there is a lovely relaxed atmoshphere but with a hint of luxury!

Yelp
I recently went to a Spring tea tasting hosted by the Tea Palace at the InterContinental - what an absolute decadent treat. From the minute I stepped inside the hotel, I knew it would be the perfect afternoon escape. It's not every day that you're greeted with a tea-inspired champagne cocktail, are spoiled with a very comprehensive tea tasting (with fantastic expert explanations to boot), and then spoiled with scones, bijou sandwiches and delightful pastries. Then, to make it an even more unique experience, the chef of Cookbook Cafe (where event was held) explained the inspirations behind his Spring time tea menu. Going back to the 'real' world was not easy after that sort of afternoon...but, alas, that's why it's such a luscious afternoon. Everything was perfect: the tea, the libations, the delectable nosh, and - of course - the company. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This is a modern hotel, which is rare in London - the rooms are nice and modern, but in keeping with the English tradition quite small. Probably the smallest rooms of any Inter-Continental that I have ever visited.

Yelp
The recent Tea Palace Tea Tasting at the Intercontinental Cookbook Cafe saw our gang discovering what was on offer as part of their Spring menu. After being pepped up by the range of teas we were served a bellini cocktail with green tea and pineapple puree - simply tea-licious. although i nearly poked my eye out with the large protruding leaf. On to the food, and it wasn't a bad spread although the tea influence which chef Paul Bates was at pains to emphasize seemed at times a little stretched. The usual cucumber and chicken sandwiches were nothing special although the sea trout was a little different. The Scones were great, although again nothing out of the ordinary. The cakes were nice though, particularly the apple and sweet rhubarb mousse and the Green tea and lime sorbet was a nice touch. It seems like a lovely hotel with friendly, approachable staff and I get the feeling the Cookbook Cafe is just the tip of the iceberg as far as its offerings go. I hope to be back to try other goodies here in future..

Yelp
Great location. Super easy to the tube or a walk to Buckingham Palace or Piccadilly. Good bar in the basement or go across the street to the Four Seasons bar for variety.....or a short walk to Mayfair for some sensational bars. Great service and lots of taxis etc here. Rooms were nice and super clean. Decent size with good mini bar too. Had a great stay for week here.

Yelp
Great property. Classic amenities. Near the park but if you're looking for the tube it's about an 10 minute walk

Yelp
A great hotel to stay in if you're visiting London as a tourist. The suite I stayed in was beautiful, the service provided was excellent and the location was perfect. I selected the Intercontinental for my first trip to London and it would be hard to top the experience choosing a great place to stay provides. The Intercontinental was within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, as well as a few nice restaurants, pubs, clubs and clothing stores. It's also priced competitively...which is nice because London is not a cheap place to travel...

Yelp
Nice hotel but the rooms are very small for such a high price. The location is OK but we could have probably found better for the price. Be careful of buying theater tickets from the concierge, as the agency fee is about 30% (our seats were £65 and we paid our hotel £86, a huge increase) and the concierge didn't notify us of the option to walk 5 mins to the theater to save ourselves the fee. The club access is convenient but only offers 3 things a day: breakfast until 11, tea from 3:30-5, and champagne with cheese and crackers from 5:30-7:30. Difficult times if you're out sightseeing but the breakfast was good.

Yelp
My most recent stay at this property was one of the best I have on any if my trips into the United Kingdom and I would recommend a stay here to anyone that is looking for luxury, exclusivity and to be treated like a VIP. The price per night is comparable to the services and accommodations included. I was happy to know that my stay was perfect from the bell hop being car side upon arrival, checking in with my bags in room when I got to it all the way to checking out and my bags being in my car even before I got done at the desk! Perfect location, amazing staff and complementing room!

Yelp
We were here for Sunday afternoon tea, we opted for the Royal Tea at £40 per head inc a cocktail (there's a choice of 3 different menus). I enjoyed the selection of sandwiches, cakes were good but not amazing, scones were good too but we were already too full to eat any more! There was a good variety of teas, some were special blends for the Wellington lounge. A lovely place for afternoon tea in Park lane and great service too.

Yelp
Nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Service is average and overall a little overpriced. Nice bar/lounge and my room had a nice view of Hyde Park. I would return but would also consider the Sofitel St James for the same price point.
