InterContinental Miami, an IHG Hotel

I understand they want to bring Miami vibes, but truly the pool music does not need to be SO loud that it resonates full sound through the entire overlooking hotel rooms throughout the day. I know most people are out and about at these times, but good luck trying to rest or take a break in your room during the day. I have earplugs in, curtains drawn, and I can still hear and feel every beat. Other than that rooms are lovely, but ask for a room not overlooking the pool if you want to relax.

We were there one night getting ready to debark for our cruise. We decided to splurge and get a really nice hotel. The hotel was stunning! Very esthetically pleasing and picturesque. We ate at the restaurant below and my husband had the best steak of his life. Yes, it was wagyu! Our room had a gorgeous view of the ocean and we both took a moment to just sit and look out across the area. The staff were so pleasant and very helpful with getting us situated. Would love to stay there again if we found ourselves in Miami once more. While I don't have photos of the room, here are some photos of our meal!

We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend while visiting family in the area. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. The meeting rooms and common spaces are impressively maintained and provided plenty of room for our family gathering. The open layout of the lobby made it easy to find a spot to sit and chat, even during the busy afternoon hours. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and the housekeeping staff did a great job of keeping it that way throughout our stay. Everything felt fresh and well cared for. The location couldn’t have been better — we walked everywhere! There were several good restaurants nearby, along with a supermarket and a scenic marina just a few blocks away. The only drawback was the noise level. We could hear conversations from the room next door pretty clearly, which made it hard to fall asleep one night. Soundproofing could definitely be improved. Still, we really liked the place and would happily return if we're ever in town again.

Nice hotel with decent size rooms and bathrooms. The products in the bathroom are phenomenal, all Byredo product. 😍 customer service was lovely and the hotel is very well up-kept. Pool is on the smaller side but has a nice view. Close to downtown business district versus Miami Beach area. My only pause is the cost of parking at $62 a night. Wow.

I had a great stay at this beautiful hotel! It stands out for its direct view of the sea, with breathtaking scenery from the rooms. There’s a spacious promenade right in front of the hotel, perfect for walking or jogging, and it also includes a playground for kids, which is safe and fun. The hotel offers a variety of great restaurants with delicious food and options for all tastes. The lobby is elegant and spacious, and there’s even a Starbucks inside, which was perfect for starting the day with a coffee.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at (I have stayed at a lot of high end hotels) From the customer service of everyone working there to the quality of rooms, this hotel stands above the norm. Very accessible and many restaurants on site as well as a Starbucks. Special thanks to Bessy from the front desk who made our experience all the more enjoyable. I LOVE the pillows in the rooms, I will definitely come back.

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Great attention to detail was taken with my reservations. My entire family (4 rooms worth) was well taken care of. We had a medical emergency during our stay and the staff was amazing during our ordeal. 10/10 recommend. Family friendly. We won’t be staying anywhere else when we are in Miami now.

We had a fantastic stay at the Intercontinental earlier this week. Our room had an amazing view overlooking the bay, was very clean and spacious, with a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool was also very well kept, and also had amazing views of the bay and park along with pristine sauna, steam room and drench showers. Such an idyllic setting to just chill. In a perfect location in downtown Miami right next to the very scenic bay, park, river, and Biscayne marketplace. Didn’t seem too crowded at all. I can’t imagine a better hotel in Miami as we’ll be there on our next visit!

We were only booked here for one night before a cruise, so we weren't expecting much. On the other hand, this is an Intercontinental, so we expected everything. We got a little bit of both. When we got off of our shuttlebus from the airport, there was a porter who took our luggage, put tags on them and handed us the receipt, telling us to be sure to give the receipt to the check-in person. The luggage would then be delivered to our room. There was a short line, a few other guests as well as the three other couples from our shuttle. There appeared to be four or five people working to check in guests. It was a nice surprise to be asked if we were IHG One Rewards Club members, which we are. Our experience in the past is that if you don't make the booking directly but as part of a package, you don't get points from other groups. She told us that we did and helped me look up my account since it didn't populate with the first email address that I gave her. It would have been nice that since we were here to go on a cruise, if she had told us where the cruise company desk was instead of me having to ask. Even experienced cruisers sometimes forget to ask and are then left wondering what to do next. After we checked in with our cruise line representative, we went upstairs to our room. The room was clean and spacious. Single king bed, work table with lamp, corner piece chaise lounge with one additional section. The bathroom has both a long bathtub and a decent sized shower. There was enough room for storage had we been staying the week. The towels were fluffy. Location wise, the hotel is next to the water. From our 23rd floor room, we had a great view of the building across the way. Turn your head a bit and you could see boats moving on the water and great cloud formations. Not too long after we got to our room, I got a text message welcoming us to the hotel, thanking us for being IHG One Rewards Club members and asking how everything was with our room. I replied that, "Room is great. Took a minute to figure out how to lower the window dressing." I could easily tell that they only gave a perfunctory look at my message because their response was, "You are welcome! Have a wonderful day!" instead of asking me if I had any other questions about our room. Positives: Lobby is large with plenty of seating. Elevators are fast. Most of the Valets and Front of House staff are friendly, make good eye contact and greet guests each and every time. Plenty of accessible outlets where they're needed. Two grounded outlets and 1 each of USB-C and USB next to the desk. Additionally, facing the bed on each nightstand are 1 grounded outlet, 1 USB and 1 USB-C. Super convenient. Bathtub AND a shower. Missteps: The elevators require that you show your room card before you can select a floor. Didn't know that until someone told us and then we read the sign. Others apparently ran into the same issue. The toilet handle is loose. This tells me that communications between housekeeping and maintenance is not as good as it should be. It took me a few minutes to find the controllers for the electric window dressings. It would be very easy to put a small discreet sign somewhere near the window. Nespresso Machine offered 4 creamers, 2 black teas, 2 decaffeinated and 2 regular coffees. Either get a larger tray or get rid of 2 creamers and add 2 more regular coffee. It doesn't make sense for a highly rated hotel to be using motel quality toilet paper. Let's up the ante a bit, please. Our cruise package booked the hotel and gave us each one voucher for the breakfast buffet in Toro Toro. Breakfast was fine and there was plenty to choose from, but we had hoped for more than conventional American Breakfast.

The place to stay in downtown Miami! We were here to head out on a cruise. This is in a great location for the port. Great clean hotel that is super nice and very clean. Great amenities. Amazing staff. A top notch hotel in Miami. Worth every penny!

So this could have been a 5 star review. The hotel is beautiful, I was upgraded, my room was already paid for since I was attending a conference. The issue was the customer service - specially the concierge desk when I'd call for a question or problem. I understand having a conference at your hotel is stressful, but everytime I called the front desk with an issue I was met with an extremely rude, curt response (can I have an extra hour for late checkout, could you tell me how to get on to the WiFi it doesn't look like it's working). It soured my mood.

Beautiful hotel and the staff was able to fix the problem quickly with the mix up of my check in date and put me in a gorgeous temporary room until my room was ready. I was there for the Make A Wish foundation and everything was superb! They handled any need that I had with grace!

The comfort of the room was awesome along with the shower although my room temperature was bit cold. A pool was too cold no hot tub for top notch hotel. Also what got me was the outrageous breakfast buffet $47 if you didn't the package which should of been included for that price and the snacks drinks in the room don't open it.

This hotel was better than expected. I'm an IHG member and got it discounted thanks to points. The front desk staff was friendly and got me check in early. The room was clean and spacious. The only thing that was a disappointment was the bar at Toro Toro, I got a drink voucher at check in so I decided to use it at the bar. The bartender barely acknowledged me, once I ordered my drink & gave her the drink voucher I could feel her annoyance. And to top it off the drink was TERRIBLE. She never came back to ask me if I liked it or wanted anything else. Save your money and don't eat here. But there are tons of other options because the hotel is in a great location.

Gorgeous hotel sky high prices for their restaurant that's open for dinner and a breakfast buffet. They charge 18% gratuity so please watch that. There is a Fed Ex on the first level, along with a Starbucks. The Spa is to die for!!! I sat in the Arizona room until I couldn't take it anymore. If ever in Downtown Miami, go see them! You won't be disappointed.

Hotel is amazing. Staff as well. Enjoyed the one night stay. 4 friends 2 rooms. Caveat once home found they overcharged my room which had the "valet charge" by $30.21. Not much you say but when calling hotel they stated "oh it was an oversight on the original reservation". Essentially it was a "hidden fee" issue. They must be in trouble with their "cash flow" as it is apparently too much to refund. They did however offer 2 food/beverage vouchers on a future stay. RIGHT!!!! like I would stay there again, NOT!

We are returning to stay the night here and I'm already having an issue ordering lunch. We ordered the items in the picture. Pretty simple right? Then we're having push back. 1. The chips are potato chips (cold) 2. No Caesar salad 3. Chicken fingers/fries (cold) Pretty looking Guacamole. Returned every item. Attitude about the meal from whoever is running the show should learn your attitude should be better when you made the mistake. So I need others to know. Very nice hotel but an employee with a shitty attitude makes for a bad business experience. The 2 is strictly the Room service (day shift). So far the hotel has been A-1 for my girlfriend's Birthday. Very nice room with a view upgrade and then this mess. So we will walk get our steps in and eat something. Much better service at night.

I was really excited en route to the hotel when the driver said it was the best located hotel in the area. After going back three times to front desk because key didn't work only to find the room assigned was occupied . After getting into room which was an icebox all doing my stay ( had to turn it off completely) House keeping can at 5pm to clean room . Not a pleasant experience

Recently stayed here and was pretty disappointed considering how pricey the rooms are. I will say the staff at the hotel was incredible and friendly however, out of 6 elevators only 2 were in operation during my entire stay.It got so bad at heavily busy times there was a line formed in the lobby and at around 3pm I waited for 18 min to get to my room on the 27th floor. I wish I had taken a picture of my food from Toro Toro but that was equally disappointing for the price point. :/

Their reconstruction has helped improved their hotel. Their Club Lounge is actually worth it. Unlimited breakfast for 2, unlimited alcohol (can't bring out) and unlimited snacks. Here is the reason for 5 stars: 1. Room is very clean and spacious and you can control the blinds with a press of button. 2. Bed is very comfortable and very clean. 3. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The valets were very nice, front desk and both housekeeping and house men are nice and very responsive to text of service which is more modern and faster than calling their PBX or operator the old method. 4. Overall, the bathroom was clean and the shower stall as well. 5. Their gym is extremely clean and nothing is broken. I say give this place a retry as I think their reconstruction helped improved their gym, club lounge and rooms.

Perfect for a quick weekend getaway with the family. We arrived on a Friday morning and checked out on Sunday morning. TLDR: I would definitely stay here again. There were a few minor issues, but nothing significantly impacted our stay. Hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating, and we loved the location, which was walkable to places we were going to. ROOM (5/5): The Intercontinental has recently been renovated, so the rooms have been updated with new decor. (This was a knock on prior reviews, so unfortunately, this hotel has a lower star rating than it deserves.) The most important thing is a comfortable bed with comfortable pillows. YES! I didn't want to get out of bed. The window shades (with a separate privacy screen and a blackout curtain) are automatic with the tap of a button. I have to give kudos to the hotel for making sure the blackout curtains ACTUALLY cover all of the window AND block light from entering the room. We slept in, and when we checked our watches, it was 10 a.m.! There was a good-sized TV that seemed to have the ability to use streaming services. (We barely were in the room so we didn't use it that much.) Underneath the TV, there were four cubbies to stash stuff as well as drawers on each side of the console. There is no old school alarm clock (or iPhone charger), so if you rely on that, you'll need to bring your own. There is a small analog clock on one of the nightstands, mostly for an asthetic touch. The nightstands have built-in chargers with one electrical outlet, two USB charging slots, and one USB-C slot. Very convenient! Our room had a nice little chaise/lounge area, which was nice to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee/glass of wine in. I'm not sure if this is standard in king-sized rooms. There was also a table with chair and lamp so if you HAD to work, there's an area for it. The bathroom is also nicely redecorated. IHG has gotten rid of the single stay toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion). There was AMPLE space for our stuff. Not only was the closet there, but there were glass shelves, space under the sink, and two drawers. The mini bar area with coffee maker was also a nice addition. There's a separate fridge from the mini bar, so you don't have to worry about trying to cram in drinks around the mini bar items. There's not enough room to store food unless it's in a slim container. The one comment I have on the room is that the hallway in the room was just BARELY wide enough for our stroller, and we don't have a big stroller either. Otherwise, the fridge was cool enough for us to safely store milk. (I brought a thermometer to check.) There was also plenty of space. The fridge was separate from the hotel mini bar. SERVICE (5/5): From the front desk to the bell services, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. It's clear that hospitality is the game at the Intercontinental Miami. The Intercontinental is the flagship of the IHG brand, and this hotel really lives up to that. FOOD OPTIONS: This was not factored into the review because they are separate from the hotel with the exception of room service. (We did not order from room service.) There are two nicer restaurants, a Starbucks, and a pool bar with cafe.

I visited this hotel because it was hosting a conference. The accommodations were aligned to a previous stay at an Intercontinental hotel. The location and views from this hotel are great if you are visiting the Miami area. There is not a beachfront with sand but is a code enough drive or walk away.

The Intercontinental Miami is slightly better than average. The good: -Staff is unbelievably nice and helpful. -Location is great. -Rooms were good sized (we upgraded to a two story one bedroom). -Views are nice. -Breakfast is good (oatmeal was amazing). The not-so-good: -The hotel claims to have undergone extensive renovations but really just the rooms have been renovated, and only partially. The lobby, hallways, and even parts of the rooms are still in their original dated state. -Room decor is strange...the furniture is nice enough but it looks like they mixed some old stuff with new stuff and truly the carpet choice is just strange. -There are no heaters, just A/C, so the rooms are really cold in the mornings especially. -Prices are VERY high for what you get. We paid $700 for our room + taxes and fees which is really high considering the strange decor and halfway done renovations. -Water doesn't get too hot in the shower. This hotel really caters to a business traveler (which is why we were there). I don't recommend it.

I went there for a weekend dance event and I am very impressed with the facilities and the upkeep. The rooms are very nice and tidy. The only suggestion that I have is to have more bartenders available at the pool bar. It very conveniently located, there is a Whole Foods nearby as well as plenty of other restaurants. Kudos for having Nespresso coffeemaker in the rooms

Was very pleased with interior lobby and friendly demeanor of staff. Did not stay for a night but instead got a day pass to use for pool and spa. Unfortunately the rooftop pool leads you to the small pool on the fifth floor rooftop, not exactly all the way to the top, but still a nice view. The building next door casts an overshadow at some point throughout the day and you're left in the shade. The spas, which are separated by gender, include amenities such as a sauna, steam room, and relaxation room which are right next to Pool and are all beautiful and relaxing. Drinks and food are available for purchase by pool.

Beautiful rooms and friendly staff. Within walking distance to shopping/dining at Bayside and the Miami Heat stadium. We can't wait to come back and stay again!!

Stayed here the day before our cruise and so glad we did, the service was great from the bellman at the front door, then the gal that checked us in sent a bottle of champagne to our room so sweet... it was our 40th wedding anniversary I know crazy right??? But she didn't have to do that.... And the view crazy good if your in Miami stay here

I stayed here two weeks ago and I was treated so amazing! I have to throw a shout out to Zaria for having empathy of the airline losing my luggage that she accommodated me to have a better peace of mind and pleasurable stay while they found my luggage. I really was grateful for that because I was boarding on a cruise the next day. Henroy and Claude were also amazing and very kind holding my bags coming and going home. After cruising, I had a seven hour wait for my flight and they held my bags for me while I was waiting to get to the airport because I had stayed there prievesly. The room was clean, the tea time was so serene and peaceful. I really enjoyed that. Also in the restaurant, Toro, the waiter Clinton was extremely nice and the food was so good! Look. I'm ready to come back to Miami just to be around these smiling people! Ha! My experience here was nothing but amazing.

Came here for a wedding and had a fantastic experience spending the night! Rooms were modern, well appointed, and comfortable. Everything was of high quality, with excellent materials used throughout the room. The bed was comfortable with a very supportive mattress and plush pillows that you just sink into. The bathroom was very spacious with brightly lit mirrors and a beautiful vanity. The best part of the room was the view. Beautiful large windows allow you to look into Downtown Miami. I think this is a fantastic location and hotel. Yes it's expensive. But for the price, you get all the benefits of a fantastic stay :)

The hotel is located in a great location. Our room is looking over the water, and all the cruise ships and yachts. The room itself is very nice- however we have a broken mini fridge, the shower is leaking badly, we have to wipe up all the water each time- and it's making the ceiling peel above. . For some reason the rugs in bedroom are all very damp- not sure why. Employees are all very nice, just disappointed about the room condition.

Great food. Great rooms. Great location. Great amenities. Great service. Pricier than comfortable but reasonable value for quality (thus the 4-star rating instead of 5). Heads-up: 18% gratuity added to almost everything (so don't accidentally tip 38%!) No Jacuzzi :-/ Decent ocean views. Enjoy! :-)

Cool hotel. Nice bar and art gallery. However parking is valet only. Mostly Cubans here.

Very nice hotel right on the Miami waterfront. There's a nice park right next to it that's great to go for a walk in. The hotel restaurant served up decent food for the lunch buffet and there's a Starbucks inside as well. There's massive space for conference rooms for work events on the second floor. There's a spa and gym but the men's steam room was out of order. The pool area was nice but the adjacent cabana was under construction during my visit. There was also loud noise from construction on the 14-16 floors from 9-5pm. ‍ The building is shaped like a triangle and only one side faces the water so if you're looking for a water view be sure to request it at check in.

Had a wonderful stay here. Checked in with Mary late in the evening. She was so sweet and helpful in getting me oriented around the hotel. Stayed in one of their recently renovated rooms. Very clean, comfortable bed and hot shower. Will stay here again.

Arrived to find a flight of stairs to enter - not good for handicapped people. Got to room - very cold - was told there was no heating- best you could do is shut off A/C. Only one restaurant on premises - limited menu and quite overpriced. Food was at best ok. One in our party said it was terrible. When received bill found a tip was already added and implied that an additional tip would be nice. I find it extremely offensive when a tip is added without asking. Service marginal - front desk neglected to provide info from our group, waitresses were a bit snippy in the restaurant. All night , strange sounds were experienced-being on a high floor it couldn't have been in Renzo you're doing your best thank you street noise - woke me up several times. It's now 3:30am and again woken up! Overall - yech!

Coming in to the Resort was a beautiful sight to see, they have a bellman who helped you with your luggages and also opened the big front doors for you. Got our rooms quick and the rooms were spacious. Received in room flats to use around and beautiful shower/bathroom. Again, very spacious. The amenities were great. I really loved how quiet it was during the day and night while I stayed in my room. I also loved how there was a real Starbucks in the lobby. They're open until 6pm which was very convenient for me! I needed to print something out and the concierge was very nice, friendly, and welcoming. Offered to print my stuff out and was very knowledgeable about the area we were in. You can tell this person was a very good one. He also made sure my food was safe when my Uber eats person dropped it off at his desk and I got my food! Overall Mauricio is a very excellent concierge with a friendly smile.

I attended a conference at Intercontinental Miami this week, I can not say enough good things about it! Located right on Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami, minutes away from everything. Walking into the hotel you are greeted with a fresh aroma, clean and vibrant interiors. The lobby atrium has soaring ceilings of glass and an impressive massive stone art piece. There is convenient seating around with plush and stylish furniture. Nice clusters around for clients to have privacy while working or lounging. Toro Toro is their inhouse restaurant. The pricing of the food is quite substantial price point but delicious. Armando j Febles is the executive chef, he obviously knows what he is doing. Everything I have had from burgers to the grouper has been amazing. I ordered the beef fillet antichucho this evening which is Peruvian aji adobo, chimichurri and charred corn salad for $28. Tiny portion, pretty but tasty. They play fun and vibrant music sure to get you in the party mood. The rooms are well designed, stylish and clean. The sheets are starched and as much as that looks nice I did feel like it felt like sleeping in tissue paper. Housekeeping did a great job of refreshing the room and making it tidy each evening. I reserved a room with a view and it did have a view but you had to train your neck to look out to the side. Directly across is another building of condos, there was always people on the balcony. The conference went well, the rooms were always clean. All of the employees at the hotel and restaurant where welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate. It was a great experience, I highly recommend the Intercontinental.

This hotel was highly recommended. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with a trip to Miami. I booked and also noted that this was indeed for a special occasion and asked if room could reflect. Maybe extra special touch. I celebrate myself every year for my birthday, most times traveling internationally. Without asking , my rooms have ALWAYS had welcoming birthday flowers, chocolates and even cakes when noted that it was special reason for my stay. Upon checking into Intercontinental, the young lady first tried to sell me on buying breakfast for the days I would be there, which was already included in my reservation and paid for. She checked again and then noticed it was. She then took a moment to continue reading and saw that this was a special stay for me and then proceeded to say " oh we can see what we can do perhaps tomorrow to make you stay extra special " . Well that never happened . She did however, suggest that I upgrade my room , which I wasn't interested in doing . Another selling moment for them . The room was average to me. Not worth what they charge and nothing special about it. Still I was determined to enjoy. My final night there , I came back to my room around 9 pm. I immediately could hear a dog whining and barking in the next room. I called the front desk and was told that security would come up and check it out. Then they were to try and contact the owner. Well I never heard or saw anyone come up. The whining went on for several hours. I even recorded times and noise. I finally fell asleep around 2 am only to be awakened by the dogs crying at 3am. I tried calling the front desk again..no answer. This went on until 5am which is when I finally fell asleep again although the dog was still whining. I got up around 8 am to finish packing and to make sure that I ate breakfast at least before I was to head to airport. Upon checking out I informed the " manager " of what happened because they said I needed to speak with them directly although I asked for a number to their corporate office. The " manager " apologized and said that she didn't know what outcome was when security was to check etc ?? She offered to waive my hotel incidental fees...and said she hopes I visit again soon !!! Thats it. No one checked with me the ENTIRE night while this dog continued to whine. No call or anything. Way not allocate floors for family with dogs? How unfair and unacceptable? I paid for a night and didn't get any sleep ? They should have credited the 1 night back as well. I will NEVER stay there again nor will I recommend. Beyond disappointed. Shame on you Intercontinental Miami !!

Long review alert*** Called prior to arriving to make sure my reservation was correct for a check in time of 10am . Everything was great. Walked into the Intercontinental Miami of course the ambiance is always nice I've been on a cruise for the past 6 days I'm looking to relax and unwind before my flight tonight. I'm a member and was able to book a day room at this location . I get to the counter to speak with Patrick . Once I provided my ID he tells me they don't do early check ins unless im a member. I said I am a member and I was told I can check in at 10am for a day room, he then stated it would be 100 fee and I wouldn't be able to check in early until 2pm . This information was conflicting to the information I received over the phone ( I've called like 2x prior to make sure I had no issues) I then asked to try and speak with a manager . He stated the manager is right here and pointed to the woman standing next to Him. Her name is Hitomi she is the front desk supervisor. Hitomi was hearing our entire dialogue and not once stepped in to assist. The entire time I spoke to Patrick I tried explaining that when I booked the reservation Kacey notated the account for a 10 am check in and assured me it wouldn't be an issue. I then spoke to Hitomi ,the manager that was standing next to Patrick the entire time, reiterating again what was just told to me on the phone prior to me arriving . She told me "the employees who answer the phone are not front desk & you will need to pay the 100$ fee to check in at 2pm" . No effort on hearing my story, what happened and trying to make this situation right, nothing! ( this is a supervisor?) So immediately I called the number I called prior to arriving. As soon as I call and explain they call front desk and talk to Nicolas who came to the front and apologized for the mixup. Explaining to Patrick it's a day room. ( which I was reiterating the entire time) Would you believe Patrick said " oh a day room? " as if he was unaware. Just utter disrespect because all He and Hitomi had to do was listen, I was saying this the entire time. I really don't want to believe I was racially profiled so I'm giving 2 stars because Nicolas saved the day. Also the customer service prior to this experience was exceptional. The two workers I encountered Patrick and Hitomi need extensive customer service training, workplace diversity and inclusion training & need to be updated on policies and procedures . Unfortunately I will not be back to this location . I do greatly appreciate everyone else who I encountered. Thankyou

Great hotel! My room came with amazing views and the service was top notch. My only issue is that the entrance does not have easy access for large suitcases or wheel-chair bound individuals. The location is awesome, with many shopping options on the ground level.

20 minutes on hold (including disconnected, 10 minutes on hold for concierge) to ask a simple question re transportation. Got a Front desk Manager eventually who really did not know best way to get from train station to hotel. High prices for terrible customer service.

Great hotel however, they use Covid in July 2021 as an excuse. Unless they are short staffed as well. I decided to go use the spa today. Well only the gym is open!! Not the spa or the pool is open for use. That's ridiculous. Also besides valet only paid parking available and don't miss a minute because you'll have a ticket!

THEY ARE DOING CONSTRUCTION. DO NOT STAY HERE. So, I came to Miami with the idea that I would "work from home " from the hotel. This was not possible as they are doing construction and I could hear it from both the pool AND my room! They do not have another outdoor space besides the one pool. Jackhammering, sawing, and drilling so loud you can't hear yourself think. They're lucky yelp won't let me post videos. In addition, the ocean view from the pool is blocked off by a wall where they are doing the construction. It was complete waste of my trip. I had to eventually just book another hotel and leave. They barely mention the construction in the tiniest font on their website that is purposefully easy to miss. There is no point staying here until the construction is done. Also, the location is not even that good. It looks ocean front on the map, but realistically, there's nothing around there.

Tremendous location in Miami downtown. All of the taxes and resort fees make the hotel stay very expensive. I don't like paying for their pro sports stadiums.

This ICONIC hotel South Florida in heart of downtown Miami and is probably one the the most filmed and photographed in South Florida. Many will recognized it for it's colorful lighted murals of dancing people during the countdown celebration on new years. As one of IHG most luxurious brands and home to many business traveler while on the road can say that during my business travels would be my go to hotel chain. This hotel is centrally located about 10 minute drive from Wynwood art district and fifteen minute drive from South Miami Beach ten minute from the Wynwood. Rooms are spacious, clean with plenty pillow cases and super comfortable bed. After a busy day of work it's nice to stop off for happy hour celebration of beer, and wine at the exclusive executive lounge. Those who rather mingle can hit TORO TORO steak restaurant and bar for happy hour or dinner. Pool, recreation and ballroom area are all clean and always a fun crowd to be found during stay. Just a couple blocks from Bayside or James L Knight Center for concerts and brief walk over the Miami River bridge you in Brickell City Walk Mall that includes theater, bars and other activities. Highly recommend this place for business traveler or tourist alike.

When I was getting to business, I was told by a senior partner "provide excellent service- and you will be better than 85% of the providers out there".... The front desk folks here did not get that basic lesson. The front desk made a mess of our previously confirmed reservations...with an air of total indifference bordering on condescension, we were told we were to arrived a day late - we weren't- and our room had been given away....i ask for manager - she came out after a bit - no apology- indifference again.... My company was hosting a conference m, the front desk made no effort to contact the event coordinator until I insisted... suddenly there was a room available- with a smirk the roughly 12 year old front desk attendant gave us a low floor room with two double beds and a view of the parking lot..... we left and went to the Four Seasons, which was of course the opposite in every way... this was like that Seinfeld episode where Eliane is stuck in coach in a flight - while Jerry is In first class...."I can't go back, I won't....." of course the food at the conference was overcooked and blah....

Marco gave amazing recommendations for the Ahumado cocktail and dinner options (I was over full with the octopus Antichuco and short rib and bone marrow arepa). He also provided exceptional service. Highly recommend!

The Intercontinel Hotel on Chopin is a very luxurious hotel. The staff was amazing!! Alex from In-Room Service was spectacular and blessed us with a Happy Birthday song and a desert!. Perfection!!

As a Diamond Elite IHG member, I highly recommend this property. I may not make it back to this status in the next year because of pandemic, but I enjoyed the perks while I could. I had the opportunity to book a room at the Intercontinental Miami for a pre-cruise overnight stay. The check-in was quick and I was upgraded. The room was immaculate. The shower was the BEST. Bed was extra comfy. I had a wonderful stay and will book again. Breakfast in the morning at OLÉ was adequate and fresh. The staff acknowledged my IHG status which was appreciated. I was pleased with the location just across from BAYSIDE MARKET where the front desk recommended when I asked what was in the area. I was able to stroll and grab a dinner there. The check out was easy and a short UBER drive to my destination for my cruise.

My #1 place to stay on Miami. Great views of Biscayne Bay and/or downtown, whichever side of the hotel you are on. It's definitely a high-end hotel...and it feels like it, in all the best ways. Easy to get to, especially if you're taking the Brightline into town from Ft Lauderdale or West Palm Beach. The Brightline+ car ride service can take you straight to the Intercontinental from the station Likewise, it can also pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the Brightline station. Just a couple blocks from FTX Arena and a short Uber ride away from LoanDepot Park.

Everyone knows the Inter Continental in downtown Miami as there is a HUGE neon dancing lady to be seen from afar. The hotel overlooks the bay and the Bayside park. The swimming pool area is located a third of the way up, so there are nice views from there also. However as there are a lot of skyscrapers around quite a lot of the time the pool area is in the shade.

Beautiful location, this hotel is right on the bay with straight access to bayside where there's lots of shopping, restaurants and much more. The rooms are pretty good in size and I was pleased to get a high floor this time around. The beds are awful, maybe is a plug to get you to the spa on the 3rd floor, idk. I was a little disappointed they only offer two doubles or a king bed, doubles are hard to fit me and my little one and I like having two bed options when we travel as a family. Between the $50 per night parking and the resort fee I was hoping to get a little more. The pool was warm which was a plus but the tall buildings that surround it blocking the sun, can make for chills when stepping out.

4.5 Stars!!! Spacious, contemporary, sleek hotel on the waterfront. Large for weddings, conventions, reunions...or to just get lost in. Gives the feels of Loews on Collins. Near a lot of food places. (Stay away from on-site restaurant Toro Toro, except their Empanadas.) Valet parking and additional parking spaces across the driveway. Rooms have great City view. Refrigerator and full minibar but no microwave, not even on the floor, only at the front desk. Spacious bathrooms. Great service throughout and at the bar with good drink selections and price points. Walking distance from the arena & close enough to Collins Ave to feel like your there (you could walk down there too) but without the high sticker tag. Would definitely return!

I haven't stayed at this hotel in over a decade but I couldn't believe how hard it has fallen. The crowd inside the hotel is atrocious, the elevators extremely slow or not working, the energy at the pool reminds me of catholic mass, the pool appears to have no more than six bottle of liquor, and the breakfast... the website for the breakfast restaurant speaks of this exquisite buffet of international foods. American and provolone singles, burnt coffee, and stale bagles/pastries is what you can expect. Whoever is managing this building needs to take notice bc it's stays like these that will turn the Intercontinental brand into the Holiday Inn. The only positive note is that the rooms are spacious and clean but below average for the $400 a night this trip cost me.
