Exceptional Service and Comfortable Stay We had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental Mexico City! After arriving around 9 AM, we were extremely grateful that the front desk gave us early access to our room at no extra charge. This was especially appreciated because we had just left the Sofitel nearby (only a 5-minute Uber), which wanted to charge a full day for a 4 AM check-in. Intercontinental truly goes above and beyond—apparently, they always accommodate early check-ins when the hotel isn’t sold out. The breakfast buffet, while tasty, was the smallest we’ve encountered compared to other Intercontinentals (we’ve stayed at about six over the years). The lounge is lovely, and the evening desserts are delightful. One minor note: the kitchen door can bang quite loudly and often, and it would be nice if guests could self-serve water, tea, or coffee when staff are away. Our room was well-designed, clean, and comfortable. The mattress and sheets were high quality, and the blackout shades worked perfectly. The city view is spectacular. The room door isn’t as soundproof as the walls, so some noise from the hallway or adjacent spaces can be heard—but this didn’t significantly affect our stay. Overall, excellent service, generous policies, and comfortable rooms. We would happily stay here again!

The hotel is in Polanco. It has a lot of amenities as well as food places on the property and around it. Positives: • The gym facilities are excellent — clean, spacious, and well-equipped. • The restaurants on the property are very good, offering a nice variety and quality of food. • Au Pied De Cochon was one of my favourite restaurants to go to for breakfast. Edgar and Jorge are AMAZING! They went above and beyond with their service and always made us smile. They are a credit to the restaurant and hotel. • The rooms are fine, comfortable, and come with great toiletries. • The hair and nail salon team were wonderful — genuinely welcoming, attentive, and professional. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provided excellent service. Negatives: Unfortunately, there were several disappointing experiences that really affected our overall stay. • Buffet breakfast is ok. Nothing to rave about. • During our visit to the spa, I tried to enquire about massage availability but was made to feel uncomfortable by Sheila at reception. Her tone was curt and dismissive — when I asked to note down the times she listed, she seemed visibly frustrated. When I asked questions to clarify availability, she responded sharply and seemed annoyed to be speaking with me. This was especially disappointing given that both times I’ve visited the spa, the reception staff have been unwelcoming and unapproachable. It’s such a shame, as the salon team next door clearly understand what good customer service looks like. • We ordered room service one evening and received falafel served with pita bread that was rock hard. We removed the falafel and used the mint dip instead, but unfortunately this made us extremely sick the following day. As we had only eaten at the hotel, it was clear the food was the cause. When I spoke to the ambassador about staying an extra night to recover — as my sister was very unwell — he informed me that the manager refused to help because our booking was made through a third party. No alternative or empathy was offered, which was truly disappointing and unprofessional. • The concierge service was very inconsistent. We travelled specifically for the Day of the Dead parade, and when we asked where to go, the concierge rushed us and only suggested one viewing point. When we asked about other options, he brushed it off and insisted on that location. Sadly, the parade had already passed by the time we arrived. Later, when we asked for restaurant recommendations off-property, he simply told us, “Go down this road and pick,” which felt dismissive and unhelpful. • The cupboards in the room often got stuck, which meant it was hard to get our clothes out. We ended up not closing the door or putting anything in the drawers. Overall, while the hotel has excellent facilities and some standout staff in the salon and one particular restaurant , the lack of warmth, professionalism, and customer care from several team members — especially in the spa, concierge, and management — really let the experience down. With more consistent training in hospitality and empathy, this property could offer the five-star experience it appears to promise.

You know a hotel doesn’t care when they don’t ask you at checkout: How was your stay. So while our room (complimentary upgrade to 41st floor) was fine, the overall lack of genuine hospitality was obvious from arrival to departure. Yes, the lobby is beautiful, but there wasn’t even a beer opener in the room for the Dos Equis in the mini bar. Won’t return, especially after an equally disappointing drink at overpriced Chapulin. I have overall four stars because the lounge team did go above and beyond. But this InterConti isn’t up to par — aside from the stunning views.

We had a good stay at the Intercontinental Mexico City, but to be fair, of the six or so Intercontinentals we’ve stayed at, this one was the least impressive.||On the positive side, service was excellent. We arrived around 9 AM, and the front desk kindly gave us early access to our room at no extra charge. This was especially appreciated because we had just left the Sofitel nearby, which wanted to charge a full day for a 4 AM check-in. Intercontinental’s generous early check-in policy really made a difference. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, with quality bedding, great blackout shades, and a spectacular city view.||That said, there are some areas for improvement. The breakfast buffet was the smallest we’ve experienced at an Intercontinental. More concerning, the hotel charges 180 pesos for 1 liter of bottled water, while the 7-11 across the street charges only 10 pesos for the same amount. Gouging customers on something as essential as water—especially when tap water isn’t drinkable—feels like blackmail. No other Intercontinental we’ve stayed at charges for water, and this practice makes the hotel seem cheap and as though it’s trying to take advantage of guests.||The lounge is pleasant, with tasty evening desserts, though the banging of the kitchen door is noticeable, and it would be nice if guests could self-serve coffee, tea, or water when staff aren’t nearby.||Overall, while the hotel delivers on service and comfortable rooms, the limited breakfast and the water policy left a negative impression. With a few thoughtful changes, this property could truly match the high standards we’ve come to expect from the Intercontinental brand.

Irving was absolutely fantastic during our three days at the lobby bar. His professionalism and kindness truly made our experience exceptional, and he went above and beyond to make our lives easier with his attentive service. We highly appreciate his dedication and warm attitude—definitely a highlight of our stay!

The InterContinental was good, but a slight step below my experience at other intercontinental hotels. The rooms felt a little dated (not enough plugs at the desk to get work done, manual blinds) and the room I stayed in was quite loud since it backed up to the elevators. If you get one of these rooms, ask to be moved since you'll hear the elevators deep into the night, especially if you're on a low floor. The location of the hotel was great. A quick 2 minute walk to restaurants and bars, close to shopping and right across from a park and a the zoo (the park is perfect for runners).

Hugo, the bartender at the Intercontinental Hotel, is hands down the BEST bartender in the world! 🍸✨ His cocktails are not only perfectly crafted but also served with so much personality, charm, and genuine care. He makes you feel like a VIP every single time. The creativity, precision, and passion he puts into every drink is unmatched. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just want something refreshing, Hugo will always deliver above and beyond. The hotel itself was also fantastic — beautiful, welcoming, and an amazing spot overall. 🏨🌟 Between the incredible service and Hugo’s unforgettable drinks, the Intercontinental is the perfect place to stay and unwind.

The hotel location is perfect for shopping / walking / restaurants |I had stayed over 30 years ago at same location and what a difference ….👎||The hotel has done renovations and refurbishing …|Rooms could be thought up better …the experience room/ bathroom / shower / sink and closet are disposed in a weird way …|its restaurants are nice and pleasant ||Can’t say same about the staff in general ||We are a large family group (over 10 people )||Housekeeping is erratic (if any at all …2 of my siblings in 2 different days didn’t have service )|And when service would come every day something was missing in room …either towels …or mineral water (as you may know it’s not recommended to drink tap water in mexico )||Club lounge staff is either under trained or under staffed |They are always in bad mood and non collaborative with its guests that is when they are not straight CONFRONTATIONAL when asked about certain service at lounge (happy hour time )||Concierge is border line useless ||And the request to speak to a manager went unanswered for 5 days |Although they send you a WhatsApp asking to rate their service the staff answers and says yes certainly someone will contact you (get a comfortable chair waiting )||Other than that we had a great time in family celebrations

So this was a childhood dream unlocked - I was excited to get back to Mexico City, and the Intercontinental Presidente was a great host. We celebrated, and they were conscientious hosts from beginning to end. Had a lovely view of the Auditorio Nacional. Would absolutely stay here again. The water pressure was good, communication ahead of time great, and the bed comfortable. Coffee grab and gos across the street, as well as a 7-11. Around the corner from many outstanding restaurants and nightlife. Safe neighborhood. They also acknowledged our recent anniversary - so sweet!

I love this hotel and the area. Very impressed from my first visit. You can find many shops, restaurants and other places to visit around here. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Many restaurants and shops are inside the hotel as well as many services. I truly recommend this place even if you don't stay here. I will definitely return here again. This is my fourth time staying here. We got the suites that included the club and it is awesome. Great breakfast and snacks and drinks in the evenings. Huge room with great bed, nice amenities and sofa and desk area. Beautiful views.

We were very impressed with this amazing space - the lobby has the most beautiful floral arrangements and the lobby bar had the best live band, complete with saxophone and electric guitar! Such a wonderful vibe - the drinks were strong too - we had equal parts of Don Julio, TopoChico with a spash of Lime juice. There is something so very great about these workers too - so many people were accommodating to us during our time in the lobby! ALSO, the art this lobby has in incredible - every couple of feet there was another geode like structure with never ending mirrors inside them! I had seen this sculptors work in Palm Spring but only one! Here in the lobby of Presidente Intercontinental they have an entire GARDEN of these things - some hung on walls and some freestanding strewn around the lobby itself. Its beautifully curated and I cannot to continue to explore these!

I have stayed at this hotel twice, on both my trips to Mexico City. My first trip was spur of the moment with my partner at the time. She and I flew from Tijuana and into CDMX. Going on the recommendation from a friend of mine who lives in this town, I decided to stay at the Presidente Intercontinental. Our journey landed us in CDMX very early morning, and we were checking in at 3AM. We were able to get a room with a good view, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a French restaurant in the lobby area that is 24-hours. The room itself was very comfortable. It had a comfy bed, a couch, a large window overlooking Bosque de Chapultepec, and nice amenities. The room service was very efficient, and the food available was phenomenal. I was impressed by this hotel my first time around, which led me to book a suite here on my second trip to CDMX. On this second trip, I was here to meet a friend who invited me for her birthday. I booked a standard room through the booking.com app, but opted to upgrade to a suite once we got here. The suite was very nice. The bedroom had a king size bed, which was comfortable. The living room was spacious, with comfy seating, and an espresso machine. The main bathroom had a shower, a bathtub, and plenty of floor space. Much like my first trip, I found the room service to be very efficient, and it provided great dining options. This hotel is run very well. It is a highlight in the posh neighborhood of Polanco. If you find yourself travelling to CDMX, I highly recommend staying here!

It's been a few years since we were here, but I don't know why the negative reviews. We were extremely impressed with the service and the hotel itself. It's a great location in the Polanco. We were able to walk to local restaurants. Getting a taxi or uber was also quite convenient. The hotel staff was always extremely friendly, professional and helpful. We look forward to planning another trip and staying at the Presidente Intercontinental!

I went there in January 2024. Hotel has a great location and restaurants. I was there for a concert at the auditorio national. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because how they can decide their own peso exchange rates. From what was booked on booking.com and what I was charged on exit was $100 more. How does that seem fair or legal. I tried to dispute it through my credit card company but it's pretty much at the hotels rules. Rule of thumb is pay in advance in dollars in the US. Avoid the theft.

I had a wonderful stay here in November with my MBA class. While expensive, the hotel definitely delivered on quality and the view from the bedroom was beautiful. The room itself felt high quality with comfortable bedding and enough space for me and the one other person I was rooming with. The shower was luxurious and so were the bath products. Service at the hotel, especially how they handled covid (thermal sensors, mask checks) made me feel very safe and showed great attention to detail. We also had breakfast every morning which was excellent, although it took a while to get used to having beans for breakfast! Overall the hotel is high quality in a safe and beautiful area of Mexico City. It was a great place to call home base for my first time en la Ciudad.

I was originally very excited to book a stay at the Intercontinental in Mexico City. By the end of the trip, I felt they were severely lacking in several areas. First, the concierge wasn't incredibly helpful. When asked if there were any restaurants nearby that were open, the concierge replied 'no' and directed us to their own restaurant within the hotel. When we walked outside to check for ourselves, there were at least two restaurants open. We ended up dining there and had a wonderful experience outside the hotel, which is what you try to do on a trip - go outside the hotel and experience the city. Second (and more worrying) was that they said we drank a bottle of wine from the minibar. We had not. Unfortunately, there was no way to dispute since it was our word against theirs. The ultimate amount was de minimis, but it was still a weird experience being called a liar by the hotel clerk. Or, as the check out attendant said "Are you sure that maybe you didn't drink it and forget?". No, sir. I did not forget opening the minibar and drinking a bottle of wine. Third, the room we had booked was supposed to have a single king bed. Instead, we were given a room with two queen-ish size beds. In their defense, I should have notified them when we got to the room, but it was past 12:00am in the morning and after a long flight, I wasn't really in any sort of position to trek down and lug luggage any extra distance. Overall, disappointed with the Intercontinental and would not recommend. The surrounding area (Polanco) is fantastic and there are more than a few great options that come to mind (The W, for example).

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff was very friendly at check in. We were given a room in the 26th floor overlooking El Bosque de Chapultepec. The room was confortable and the floor was quiet. Every time we made our way around the hotel, the staff was very polite and always greeted us. This might be our place to come back to in CDMX

Beautiful hotel and an amazing art show in the grandest of lobbies. Located in the hotel zone off chapultepec park and nestled behind many beautiful buildings and homes and amazing upscale restaurants and shops of Polanco. Was met by Edgar upon arrival and his greeting was genuine and warm and not wasted on me. He ordered a birthday cake to help me celebrate and a nice room! I felt special and not like a corporate guest first timer....remembered at checkout as well. Temperature reading upon entry and gel readily available.. Bravo!

This is currently my favorite choice. Great location walking distance in safe area. Rooms are ample, great decor work area showers and smell and feel like new. Huge TV and great bed and AC. Loved big windows with city views. Day and night. Many restaurants and bars and shows inside hotel and around it. Location is amazing. Another huge plus are gym and spa. One can relax after a good workout and be ready for night out. Check in and staff are amazing too and the prices were not bad at all. I'll be back every chance I get.

This is definitely one of my favorite hotels in the IC chain. Wonderful staff and very welcoming. The rooms are well maintained and have excellent views of the city. There are multiple top restaurants that I have included in my photos. The concierge was extremely helpful as always with making bookings and giving advice on sites to visit. This was a lovely hotel with superior customer service. A great place where one can peacefully unwind from the hustle-and-bustle of the city. The bed was comfy, the robes fluffy, and you're walking distance from an abundance of coffee shops (including Starbucks across the street) and a super cute, pop-up Mercado every weekend. I highly recommend Presidente Intercontinental! especially if having the convenience of a fully equipped gym with TRX ropes, smith machines, free weights and kettle bells (just to name a few) is important to you.

We stayed here in January and were delighted to have stayed in a fabulous room with an amazing view of Polanco! This is my first time here in Mexico City. I felt safe, was able to walk to the neighboring streets without issue with my husband to eat at various restaurants. We also took Uber and there were no issues. We tried their restaurant Chapulín for breakfast and dinner. Dinner was a lot better than breakfast. Everything is within walking distance. We were able to get on the City Turibus which was less than a mile away from the hotel. Room and bathroom was kept clean daily! Free internet worked well! The concierge was helpful

Nice full complimentary hotel. Many fine restaurants including the Palm. Nice gym, full spa, and great room service with reasonable prices. Nice clean rooms with fantastic views. Great staff. Jacuzzis were not as clean as I would have liked but otherwise I was very satisfied. Had a rental and on-site parkng $10/day with entry exit w/o extra charge. Obama stayed here. If that means anything to you the reader.. many pics already posted so I dint add. One drag, No Pool.

I loved everything about my stay at the InterContinental Presidente Mexico City. The beds were fantastic, the down comforter was awesome, nice, soft and fluffy, the pillows were plentiful and down filled (not the cheap synthetic pillows), full blackout shades (I could have slept all day). The AC in the room gets nice and cold, great water pressure in the shower. The rooms are very clean, well equipped, the WIFI is very strong, you only need to log in one time during your stay. The location of the hotel is in a very safe district of DF, lots of restaurants and shops within a short walking distance of the hotel. Definitely the best stay I have had in a longtime, I was sad to leave the hotel.

The hotel staff is very nice and accommodating to whatever needs you have. The location is nice, it's on the high end part of Mexico City next to the JW Marriott. Great views from the rooms and the executive lounge puts on a nice evening spread. After staying at other inter continentals this one is lacking. The rooms are clean, nice but a little average for a higher end hotel. The gym has a lot of the workout machines and only a couple weightlifting ones. Gets busy around 6am, prime time for business people trying to get there workout in before their day begins.

This hotel does NOT know how to take reservations. They booked us for the wrong days without our booking code, which obviously caused a huge inconvenience.

Rooms are very nice and spacious. Awesome views from very room. The customer service was exceptional throughout my stay. The gym areas were substantial with a respectable selectionbof equipment and gear.

DO NOT stay at the president hotel, my mother in law left her necklace with diamonds in her bedroom and they lied to her that "it fell in the hallway and that they had footage of her"' it was a lie. They didn't know what to say because we reported it to the police ASAP and told them they were going to get in big trouble if they didn't give it back. They gave it back eventually, but I still DO NOT recommend it. They STEAL.

Ive been to numerous areas in Mexico and was so excited when my cousin chose to have his wedding in Polanco, Mexico City. My entire family booked rooms at the Intercontinental Presidente and we talked about this trip for the months leading up. We were delighted at the hotel and its location upon arriving. We checked in and were told that our room was a double which being a married couple, asked if a king bed was available. They said there was and assigned us to a room. Upon chatting the front desk employee told us that we could upgrade our stay for $50 a day which would include: access to the 39th Floor Lounge, happy hour a the lobby bar from 7-9pm and breakfast included. We said that sounds like a great idea lets do it. We ate breakfast daily at the only place we knew that had breakfast; Cafe Urbano. Which was great and offered a variety of items. We closed out daily to the same total thinking this would be covered in our "$50 upgrade." We never made it to daily Happy Hour as we have dinner reservations we made thru our amex platinum concierge and we ventured up the 39th lounge one day only to see a mediocre food spread at best. We traveled outside the hotel daily only to come back to our room never cleaned or beds made (mind you this was 5pm or later). The noice from the street was loud and kept us up numerous nights as well. We did dine at Chapulin which our families loved. Our stay seemed to go not so bad until we decided to check out and were given charges for the breakfast which we stated we were told we could eat breakfast at the Cafe Urbano (which mind you was the only place we knew that served brunch buffet). The front desk employee told us we were only allowed to eat the 39th floor lounge to which we stated that was not told to us. We also stated that we did not drink at the happy hour any days of the stay. We said we are fine iwht paying for the daily breakfast at Cafe urbano if you could take off the Daily "$50 upgrade." The front desk employee seemed to understand and think that was fair however he had to double check with his manager on duty. Well when we spoke with Alejandra, her demeanor was first off less than pleasant. It seemed as if she had worked a few too many days in a row and just didn't want to hear what we had to say. Upon explaining the exact same scenario we had just explained to the front desk employee, she replied that the charge would stand and that she would check the cameras to see if we in fact drank at the bars (check the cameras as if we were shoplifters), as you can imagine that made us feel really great. We tried to explain over and over that it now wasn't even about the money but the principle that her staff did not have or give us anything in writing about where to eat, drink or what the lounge was used for. We wound up leaving only to speak with other family members who said they had a similar experience and were also upset considering we had an entire wedding party under Sheridan there. Just to think that's the last impression we had upon waiting for our Uber really makes you think about what hospitality really means and how well training is at the Intercontinental Presidente. Needless to say this was the first time at a Grupo Property and will be our last. Taking care of guests is why you chose a job in the hospitality field. For the record I currently own 3 restaurants and previously worked for Starwood Hotels for 10+ years. I get in it when guests want want want or try to take advantage of the hotel. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. We feel very taken advantage of over a situation that could have easily been resolved

Details can bring a 5 star experience down to one... after staying here for a few days and buying their $48/a 1/4 a bottle of water daily, we sat in their hotel lounge area for an hour, only to be harassed by their onsite security who let us know we could only be on site if we were consuming. I guess that Italian dinner an hour ago didn't cut it?

The worst hotel i've experienced at this price point. From the staff, cleanliness, and the room, it's dissapointed on every level. I was debating to between 2 or 1 star review until I realized on more than one occassion I was the only one targeted to keep my mask on, even when seated in my own section, when everyone around me (Non Asian/mostly white or latino) were not wearing a mask and not asked. This happened 3 times in the span of 1 day. (Lounge/Bar areas, Gym). The room i found hair on the floor. House keeping didnt come when concierge said they would come and i had to call back again and they came while i was taking a shower. The gym is very basic and outdated. My particular room, i could hear the guy next door speaking alll times of the day(walls are thin). I never leave reviews because im lazy, but this place dissapointed so much I had to. For your money don't stay here unless you're the right skin color or an attractive female, perhaps you will get a better experience.

Apparently, the hotel is in the middle of renovating and they don't exactly make it quiet for their guests. Kiss your vacay goodbye and enjoy waking up at 9 AM to the sound of a drill right next to you. The hotel is seated in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Mexico, but it has sadly been neglected over the years. The hotel is steps to fantastic, while not wholly authentic Mexican, restaurants more catering to the posh international crowd and rich Mexicans looking for a taste of the abroad. For people like myself, there's a conveniently placed 7-11 across the street. The hotel rooms are a bit dated and noisy, allowing anyone who wants to listen into your conversation and vice versa (provided everyone understands each others' mother tongue). Even if your room is situated on a top floor, you'll still hear the soundtrack of the city through single pane glass, a shame if you're trying to get a good night's sleep while some dude races his new motorbike. Where the hotel succeeds is its wonderful staff and hotel cars that double as private tour vehicles/guides. They will literally take you wherever you want to go -- planned or unplanned -- for very reasonable hourly prices. The concierge makes some too notch dinner and daily excursion recommendations. For that: Excelsior! All in all, location & people = good. Rooms = need some TLC.

I really enjoyed the stay at the Presidente Intercontinental. The staff was so wonderful and attended to all needs quickly and professionally. Right in the heart of the Polonco district, there are so many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Look forward to coming back.

This hotel is very good. Amazing location near shopping and restaurants, great views of Cuatehmoc park across the street. The rooms are very nice and newly renovated. I would stay here again.

My stay at the Intercontinental Presidente was excellent. The room as well as common areas are great. My room was facing the park, and that was a great view. The staff was always very attentive and always trying to make sure your stay is excellent. The location cannot be better and the hotel has great options for dining. There are so many restaurants and bars within walking distance that the options are almost unlimited.

For the price, not worth it. This is a hotel for the elite to stay at or those who fear Mexico City. Check reviews of other hotels in the area. Cabs are cheap, even when they rip you off. Best to speak Spanish if possible here. Anyway, hotel is not as high class as expected. People working here are great though. I only stayed here because my company paid for it. ;)

Nice hotel good gym great location , nice little bar , except when you get a glass of wine it's like a sampler size ???? You know when you ask to try a doe wine , it's not much more than that

Nice building, good views.... But they were not able to fix a daily flooding from the shower to sink/closet area... 3 days in a row I reported this, even with photos and they did nothing.

The stay is not worth the price. The rooms are really noisy. I did not sleep all night due to construction noise. The front desk failed to tell me there was going to be noise all night long. The view is astonishing, but the customer service and the the room was not good at all.
