When I entered the parking structure today, I was struck that there is no elevator on all of the levels. There is a big, painted wall that reads, "Hotel Entrance" on Floor 2, but no way to access the entrance from other floors. Thus, you have to haul all of your luggage, laptop, and kids down or up, depending on which level you're on, to actually get to the hotel. If this isn't an ADA lawsuit waiting to happen, it certainly is a civil one, considering there's scant lighting in the garage, and anyone could maim, kidnap, or kill you if he/she was so inclined. I certainly hope they have cameras...or a high insurance policy. While I loped down to Level 2, the hotel entrance, I almost got mowed down by a driver exiting the garage, unable to see me, I presume, because of the poor lighting.
When I get to my room, I find the thermostat doesn't work, and is permanently set at 62 (seriously, 62?!?). Every sleep study out there says the optimal temperature is 68, not 6 degrees colder.
I then turn on the t.v. only to be met with a "no signal" on every channel. I called the front desk, and the gal that answered said that she would send an engineer up to recalibrate it. About 2 minutes later, she called back, and said that due to the "downpour," I would not be able to watch t.v. until "the storm passes." Now, I know that rain can mess with cable, but I also know that Minnesota suffers from below freezing temperatures in the winter, so I'm shocked to hear that their fragile digital television shuts down with a little drizzle.
There is no bathtub in the bathroom, only a shower. I am in one of the Executive Suites, which says a lot about this hotel, and its standards of quality.
