InterContinental Warszawa (Warsaw, Poland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The building that houses the InterContinental Warsaw is a landmark, but not — yet — for its historical significance. Rather, this jauntily cantilevered tower is remarkable for the way it towers over its mid-rise surroundings, and offers views from its upper floors that no other hotel in Poland — and few hotels in the world, frankly — can match. And inside, as you might expect, is a hotel that ranks, at least by some measures, among the finest in town." - Tablet Hotels

Great service, but rooms need renovation InterContinental Warsaw is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic location. The breakfast is outstanding, and the entire staff is incredibly attentive, professional, and welcoming truly top top level service. The parking is spacious and very convenient. The spa is nice, but already feels quite old. Unfortunately, the same can be said about the rooms they are worn out and clearly need renovation. The bathrooms, on the other hand re modern and updated, which was a pleasant one. The pillows, however, were terrible flat empty and completely uncomfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay thanks to the excellent service and location, but for the price they charge, the rooms should be in much better condition. It was good, but it definitely could have been better for this level of hotel and cost.

Unacceptable and humiliating experience at the front desk I am writing this review following an extremely unpleasant and embarrassing experience at the front desk, caused by an employee named Paulina, who claimed to be the manager on duty. I had officially arranged and paid for a late check-out until 6:00 PM. Earlier that day, my key card had already been deactivated once by mistake, and the issue was corrected after I reminded the staff about the late check-out. At around 5:00 PM, after returning from shopping, my key card did not work again. My wife was waiting alone in our room on the 32nd floor, so I went down to the front desk to have the key reactivated. Instead of resolving a clear and simple issue, Paulina began arguing with me publicly, in front of other guests, insisting that my check-out was until 5:00 PM. I calmly explained multiple times that it was until 6:00 PM and had been paid for. Despite this, she continued to argue rather than verify the information properly. She then demanded my passport. I explained that it was upstairs with my wife and politely asked for a temporary key so I could access my own room, especially since our driver was scheduled for 6:00 PM. At that point, she said to me — in a dismissive and humiliating manner, in front of other guests — “I don’t know who you are.” She then called hotel security and instructed them to escort me to my room to verify that it was actually my room before opening the door for me. I have stayed in many high-end hotels around the world, and I have never experienced such treatment. Being publicly doubted, embarrassed, and escorted by security over an internal administrative error is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this level. This was not just a technical mistake — it was a serious failure of professionalism, discretion, and basic respect for guests. I sincerely hope hotel management addresses this incident seriously, as this behavior does not reflect the standards expected from the InterContinental brand.

Check in was smooth and the staff there were very kind. Room was comfortable, but even on the 30th floor you can still hear noise from the street, so bring your earplugs Rooms lacking some amenities which are usual in a 5 star hotel, like a good hairdryer or some shaving cream or toothbrush. And TV didn’t work properly, older technology Pool and sauna are PACKED, impossible to enjoy, too overcrowded even in low occupancy hours, with kids and adults screaming everywhere and no staff around. Breakfast not worth it, and staff isn’t very helpful Location is great, within walking distance to many places Gym is good

The hotel was excellent in every way. The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the staff were extremely polite and always willing to help. The breakfast was very nice, with good quality and variety. The pool area was also very clean and well maintained. I really liked the system of booking a specific time to use the pool, as it prevented overcrowding; if everyone could go whenever they wanted, it would be very chaotic. Finally, the view was absolutely fantastic and made the stay even more special. Overall, it was a perfect experience and I would definitely choose this hotel again!!!

I recently stayed at the Intercontinental Warsaw hotel to celebrate my birthday. The staff welcomed me with smiles, and I was assigned a room on a higher floor, which offered an absolutely stunning view of the city. I enjoyed the sunset right from my room. On my first day, I received a complimentary cake and a bottle of champagne. The following day, which was my birthday, the hotel staff surprised me with another birthday cake, warm wishes, and another bottle of champagne. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was large, featuring both a bathtub and a shower area. The hotel boasts excellent amenities, including a beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi located on the top floor. You can take in breathtaking city views while enjoying a swim or relaxing in the jacuzzi. Additionally, the breakfast options were fantastic; I really enjoyed the breakfast experience. Overall, it was a very good experience.

I had a great stay at the InterContinental. The overall atmosphere is warm, elegant, and really well thought-out. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic – great quality, lots of variety, and everything tasted fresh. The pool may be on the smaller side, but it definitely makes an impression with its views and vibe. Overall, a super comfortable and enjoyable hotel experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An exceptional experience thanks to the amazing staff! We’ve stayed in hotels around the world, but the experience we had at InterContinental Warsaw truly stood out. We booked our stay with both breakfast and dinner included, and while the breakfast was absolutely one of the best we’ve ever had, the dinner at first was quite disappointing. The menu didn’t suit us, even though the atmosphere was very nice. Our waiter, Roman, was outstanding. He had a great sense of humor, paid attention to every detail, and made us feel very welcome. The next day we shared our feedback at the front desk, and the restaurant manager, Faustyna, went above and beyond to make things right. She listened carefully and made sure that our next dinner would be a completely different experience. The following evening was amazing. They even prepared a special kids’ menu just for our children. Roman remembered our drink preferences and the jokes from the night before, and the entire meal was simply perfect. After dinner, Faustyna personally came to check if we were satisfied, and later she even sent a lovely surprise with a handwritten note to our room. What started as a disappointing dinner turned into a truly unforgettable stay. The kindness and professionalism of the staff made it a 10 out of 5 stars experience. We highly recommend this hotel, not just for its luxury, but for the wonderful people who make every guest feel special.

Yelp
If you want some elegance, the InterCon in Warsaw delivers. This is a modern hotel soaring in the Warsaw skyline. The fitness center with a pool is on the top floor making the views inspiring. With Ambassador status they were prepared and had a food plate and wine - a nice touch often forgotten. This hotel is centrally located to everything. Rooms were decent sized and comfortable. I felt valued.

Yelp
We are IHG members which the hotel reception recognized when we checked in. What a gorgeous lobby! And, do immerse yourself in their amazing, ample and scrumptious hot breakfast in the morning. You will not be disappointed. The location is wonderfully central to Warsaw's delights: historical sites, shopping, restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, our 23rd floor room reeked of cigarette use. The bed was nice and firm, however the comforter was too heavy and hot for summertime, even with the HVAC unit adjusted for cooling. I was force to call for a plumber because the toilet was not flushing consistently. I was unable to figure out which faucet adjusted the shower temp from the water pressure. All to say, it would be nice to have signage for explanations. The roof view is amazing though. The space was nice for a dinner meal too. I might return to the Intercontinental, but I'd approach carefully.

Yelp
Warszawa Poland is wonderful! What makes it even better is staying here at the Intercontinental Hotel. From the people that assisted us with checking in to our room and delicious cuisine they offer, great amenities, along with the very accommodating, attentive staff.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the InterContinental Warsaw hotel during a business trip and was impressed by their staff, the dining experiences, and the gym/pool area. My room was the apartment-style suite with a range, fridge, plates, and utensils; had I been there longer, I would've cooked my own food :). With that said, there are a lot of places to eat nearby that are within walking distance, convenience stores, and coffee shops. I highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
The level of guest service is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced at any IHG property worldwide. I came in person to check availability and book a room after spending 2 months in the Ukraine. I waited 17 minutes to be seen before n line. A young girl, came up and was greeted by staff immediately in the Ambassadors line, she apparently just had a question, as I had been waiting. I voiced my frustration but was ignored and then finally assisted by 2 trainees that quoted me prices far above than what was offered online. I asked for a manager and no one was available. I left. I tried calling the property, 5 different times over a 24 hour period.. No manger ever available. I left my contact information, no one ever responded, until I was in the middle of writing this letter. I explained everything to him, the 6th time I have had to repeat the issues. True to form, towards the end of the conversation, with nothing being resolved, only being informed that this supervisor would bring it to the General Managers attention, we were disconnected. I tried customer service, 6 different times, disconnected twice, hung up on twice and was transferred twice only to be disconnected. As a Diamond Elite member, loyal to IHG for many years, I am astonished but what I have experienced by both this specific property and by the customer service people at IHG. With the opportunities there to fix and resolve the situation several different times, I now must question and voice my frustrations so others that may experience or have experienced similar issues understand that they aren't alone in their own situations. I DO NOT recommend or encourage anyone to use the IHG brand of hotels again until their process for helping loyal members is addressed and repaired. I especially DO NOT recommend the Intercontinental Hotel in Warsaw, Poland as their guest service is far below any reasonable measure of satisfactory. Clearly, the management team there do not care about individual guests and their issues. I will report this to every possible social media site and review locations as possible so others don't use, patronize or waist their money on an organization/company that doesn't support loyal members. #worst #guest #service #experience #poor #relations #do #not #use #ihg #properties #intercontinental #hotel #warsaw #poland #diamond #member #dont #matter #customerservice #failure

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hotels in Warsaw. It is conveniently located just off of the Warsaw Central station, and features easy access to the city. The lobby staff are attentive to providing excellent hospitality, and are very accommodating with stays. The hotel features apartments for long term rentals, and rooms. It had been some years since I stayed here so I noticed that they announced that renovations had been made in 2018 to the hotel. The rooms are all spacious, and have a great amount of natural light making them perfect for everything from working to taking photos. The beds are super comfy, and huge, and the bathrooms have a nice combination of a shower and bath. Some of the rooms also offer seating against an elevated area by the window so I would request that type of room for anyone who wanted to take photos. The lobby and elevators are okay as I would say the Westin shines here, but the best part about this hotel is the amenities. On the top floor is an epic panoramic view of the city with a pool and hot tub, sauna, and gym. The pool is large enough to do basic laps in, but because of the pandemic, the entire area can get too crowded with influencers trying to take photos to families. I recommend avoiding the facilities during peak holidays, and also making reservations for early hours as currently a reservation is needed for access. I would also recommend the hotel employ extra staff for cleaning the pool area as there were towels lying everywhere on the floor during peak time. I enjoyed the gym and sauna more because there were significantly less people, and both felt great for a recharge. Overall, an excellent hotel that deserves its five stars which I would recommend to anyone visiting Warsaw.

Yelp
The Intercontinental Hotel in Warsaw, Poland is an amazing choice for your visit. The hotel is walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and to the Palace of Science & Culture. The front desk staff were all very friendly, efficient and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. As a Platinum IHG Rewards Member I was checked in by Anna the Guest Relations Manager. She was a bundle of joy - super helpful, kind and informative. We ended up in a Junior Suite on the 20th floor. The room was large - and had a full bath and a powder room. The bed was very comfortable, the water pressure strong and all in all - perfect for our needs. We had the opportunity to enjoy the Downtown Restaurant in the hotel for Sunday brunch. Great food, Chef Stations..... and bottomless beverages. Yes please! The 43rd floor's fitness club was also awesome. Great views - nice pool and steam room and sauna. Great way to relax at the end of the day. Our two night stay was great. I'd stay here in a heart beat again!

Yelp
The Intercontinental Warsaw sits in a uniquely shaped building, and is across the street from the Museum of Modern Art, the Palace of Science and Culture, and many shops and restaurants. Rates were extremely low during the stay, around $80. I am not sure if the hotel is normally priced that low, or if we went during a slow period. The lobby is on the smaller side, but is elegantly decorated. There was a medical conference going on at the time, so the lobby was usually somewhat congested. There is also a Sixt car rental agency within the hotel. There is a small café in the hotel, which I did not get the chance to try. Upon entering the room, the bathroom is to the right. The bathroom itself is fairly large with a lot of space to maneuver. There is a single sink with plenty of counter space. A glass enclosed shower with fantastic water pressure and temperature. There are dual shower heads, so you can double your pleasure if you choose. There is a separate tub, which looked good for soaking after a long day. The toilet was wedged between the shower and sink. The hotel featured Agraria bath products, which had a refreshing citrus scent. The King bed came with four fluffy pillows, and a robe and slippers decorated the bed. The bed was very comfortable, and sleep came with little problems. There was a bench at the foot of the bed as well. In the corner was a chair and small coffee table. There was a dresser with a flat screen TV, which was on the smaller side compared to most hotels of similar stature. Next to the bed was a kettle, the in room safe, tea and glasses. The closet was spacious and held a luggage rack, ironing board and iron, along with a small chest of drawers. There was a complimentary bottle of water and Nespresso maker behind the desk. Service throughout the hotel was very good. All employees were friendly, and we were greeted by the doorman whenever we entered or left the property. There is a small grocery store located next door, and the main train station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The Intercontinental Warsaw is an area with plenty to do, and I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Stayed here two nights while in a tour. Wonderful hotel and staff. Very modern lobby, excellent breakfast buffet and dinner places to eat. Centrally located near transportation and shopping. Would recommend this hotel anytime in Warsaw

Yelp
Fantastic value but a little tired and dated in the interior decor. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I even got put in an "apartment" style room which was very spacious. That said the place felt more like a 4 star hotel than a 4.5 or 5 as I associate with the brand. The lobby isn't particularly impressive and the furnishing in general feels a little worn and dated. The elevator layout is also confusing with the bank going to the parking places where'd you expect the main elevator bank to be. I'd stay again though given it's central location and good value. I just wouldn't make this a destination.

Yelp
From the beautiful views of the room, the super swimming pol at the 43rd floor and a very good breakfast buffet (with an harpist playing contemporary songs), this InterContinental hits all the right points. It has an easy access to one of the biggest mall (around 5 minutes walking) and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The pastry store on the ground floor is also a very good point. Loved this hotel!

Yelp
Stayed in many hotels, but top floor at InterContinental is one of my favorites. The view is incredible and the room is huge. Definitely will stay again (they also have AC which is difficult to come across in Warsaw)
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
This hotel is wonderful, and one I hope to visit again soon. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is to die for (live harpist included) and the staff friendly and able. Lastly, the pool/spa is at the top. Great views.

Yelp
I have had the good fortune to stay in a number of Intercontinentals... Vienna would be my favourite and probably one of the best. So, I have certain expectations when I walk through the doors of a new hotel in the chain. Upon entering, the Intercontinental Warsaw is impressive, it is all that you would expect - big, plush, exceptional staff, all a bit formal, everything in its place. check-in is smooth, I request a smoking room (Poland is still a civilised country, you can do that sort of thing) and make my way to my room. On first inspection it is smart, a nice mix of modern and classical; comfortable and clean. The bathroom is huge with a very promising looking shower (it didn't disappoint). however, there were flaws, it was surprising but worth noting. I'm going to do a bit of a list here, on balance it is a fine hotel and well priced and I'll be back but here are a couple of things to look out for! Pro: LAN interconnection was great (about 30 Euro for 24hrs though!!! Con: WiFi was terrible! Pro: desk space was well laid out and comfortable to work at Con: my chair was broken (I found out the hard way) Pro: they have smoking rooms Con: an ashtray & matches would be nice!! Pro: they have room service Con: would be even better if someone answered the phone when you called them! Breakfast was great, a huge selection and all very tasty... and a harpist playing in the corner to provide some distraction!

Yelp
We had a standard room for 3 nights. Big rooms, nice views, central location, very helpful staff 24h, Platter - one of the citys best restaurant on site and reasonable price!! Will stay here again!

Yelp
In the heart of the business district, not far from the Central Station and 2 minutes from the Warsaw Hardrock and main shopping center, the location is tough to beat (outside of the old town area, of course) There is stiff competition in Warsaw at this level of hotel, but this one is a safe choice, in any case, especially if a discount is secured on the internet. Do, however, pay attention to probable additional charges for breakfast and wifi, about 30 euros/night each if not included! The view from the fitness center is unsurpassed in Warsaw, providing an overview of the city, the Palace of Culture & Science (Stalin's "present" to Warsaw -- a must see, if only one time). The fitness center itself is well-equipped, clean, and includes weigh machines, treadmills, sauna, Jacuzzi and free entrance and towels to guests. If breakfast is included or paid for, it is a hard to beat selection, with a chef cooking eggs and omelettes to order on the spot. As for the rooms, they are new, tidy, replete with the usual amenities of a business hotel. The hotel has 46 stories, so for good views, the higher the better. But ask to face the Palace. Staff are friendly and helpful, while maintaining professional reserve.

David G.

Yelp
Had a great stay here. Room was fabulous and the view was breath taking. The spa on the last level was nice too :) The Staff was great and gave us a lot of information. Perfect service!

Anna-Maria T.

Yelp
Pearl beauty spa there is terrible. Went for manicure and pedicure there. Got the impression that girl that was doing the manicure was doing it first or second time in her life.

Martin S.

Yelp
The room was spacious and a breathtaking view of the Cultural Palace. However the hotel charged me Three times for my stay and are currently claiming that they have refunded me even though I have talked to my bank and they are saying that there are no transactions coming from the Intercontinental Warsaw. If the IHG and the hotel had good service I've would have been repaid in an instant. Now I filed a police report on the hotel for fraud and are currently investigating the possibilities for a law suit against the hotel.

Yelp
Great Location! Across the street from the Palace of Culture and Science and a hip mall. I mostly spent time exploring Warsaw museums and sights. The hotel is contemporary and elegant. The front desk staff are professional and attentive. My room faced the Palace of Culture and Science : ) People still smoke indoors in Poland. So there are smoking and non smoking rooms. I was on a non smoking floor but I could still smell the stench of cheap euro ciggies in the hallways. ACK! Nasty. The room is lovely. The bathrooms are modern and spacious. The water pressure is divine. I am not too impressed with the maid service, depending on her mood you got your chocolate. This chic never smiled, greeted or gave us a whisper of acknowlegement in the corridors. So unfriendly. The bar on the second floor has the nicest and friendliest bartenders. These girls made a simple cocktail with my friends into one of the best experiences at this hotel. I should add that we had club level access. The food was always delicious the manager on duty was friendly and smiled when we entered. The girls in charge of cleaning up- not so much there were NO smiles just necessary picking up of plates and replacing cutlery. The gym has the BEST views in all of Warsaw.
