London’s Best Cafes and Coffee Shops | Where to Drink Coffee in London | Eater London

"This cute spot in West Hampstead has come on in big strides, first since opening and second since starting to roast its own coffee — a transition that countless have attempted and many have failed. It’s also willing to keep what made it such a strong starter going, by bringing in exciting, conscientiously brewed guest coffees from U.K. and European roasters doing interesting things, rather than relying on the older guard, and also making oat milk free." - James Hansen

It was long overdue to stop by in this amazing coffee shop! Had a few of their beans before, but wanted to finally get in and relax a bit. We had a cortado and a flat white with a wonderful Ethiopian bean, and tried their Gesha pour over. All the coffees were great, the pour over was exceptional and easily beats some other coffee shop's more expensive beans. The vibes are cozy, music is great and the staff is super passionate about coffee in every form. Very friendly, helpful and approachable bunch. It is a bit out of my way, but will definitely return. We picked up a bag of beans as well, which I can't wait to brew. Special thanks to Jo, who showed us the Hoop brewer, and generally just had a good chat. Great place which is a must to visit to all coffee lovers.

Was in West Hampstead over the weekend, looking for a coffee and realised I had Intermission saved on my Want to Go list. I don't know how long it's been there, but very glad I did. The coffee offerings were excellent; I asked the barista about the guest espresso option and how it went with milk, he gave me an excellent answer and I had one of the best coffees I had this year. If you get there before they change it, the DAK Pannetone is exquisite. Service was excellent, thoroughly recommended.

Located conveniently on Heritage Lane next to the West Hampstead Overground and opposite of tube, this cafe is such a treat! Friendly staff, good coffee, lovely vibe, also offers a range of coffee supplies and patisserie. If you needed oat milk, they also carry some options here! They don’t offer discount for bringing your own tumbler though.

Fantastic flat white. Really happy I stumbled upon this shop. The baristas were great to chat with and the espresso is top notch.

One of the best coffees in West Hampstead and Hampstead area, and we’ve tried them all! Whenever we are in West Hampstead, we always travel to get a coffee from Intermission. Great flat white (regular or decaf)-right temperature, amazing foam, great beans with no bitterness. Right on par with Ozone, Kaffine, Monicle, Monmouth, Prufrock, Roslyn Coffee, JavaJava, Alex Coffee, the attendant, and Taylor Street Baristas. Right near West Hampstead Tube and Overground. You won’t be disappointed!

went there for a morning coffee on Saturday. few tables outside the shop to enjoy the sunlight. you can also sit inside but the space is quite small. ordered one americano which was good, and also they let you choose the illustration on your takeaway cup (thought it was cute) would love to try some pastry next time!
