WOWZERS! If you are a cannabis enthusiast and visiting Denver from out of town YOU HAVE TO GO HERE! The light experience in the church was beautiful had me crying of the pure awe and beauty. Everything about this pace is a stoners dream. A place to truly celebrate the plant. Loved the waiting hang out area. We got to play some Mario cart in the coolest video game hang out room, signed our name on the big stoner wall and looked at all of the amazing stoner accessories and memorabilia. Loved the garden outside. (Just wish the rules allowed for smoking and use of the plant but is only offered for members on certain days-just get ripped before hand😂)

What an incredible experience at the International Church of Cannabis! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant, psychedelic art and welcoming vibe made me feel right at home. The elevation ceremonies are truly uplifting—combining spirituality, community, and cannabis in a respectful, enlightening way. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring everyone feels safe and included. Whether you’re a local or visiting Denver, this is a must-see spot for open-minded explorers. Highly recommend for its unique blend of culture, creativity, and chill! Can’t wait to return.

The church of cannabis was a relaxing experience and very colorful! I wish we wouldn't have gone during "family friendly" time so we could have smoked while we were there, but still pretty cool. They had lots of free arcade games to play while waiting for the light show and lots of photo options, great for any age!

A must do thing to add to your plans!! The visuals and message are a spiritual awakening moment! dont forget to look around & check out the gardens & get photos!

One of the coolest and most eclectic places I’ve visited — If I could spend an entire afternoon here, I definitely would. Relaxed vibes, friendly staff, and the light show is so impactful. It feels like my soul belongs here, mixed in with the colouring books, retro games, and whimsical decor.

This was a fun way to spend a couple hours of the day. The game/art room was so much fun. There's a nice and quiet outdoor space as well. The guided meditation and light show was relaxing. Staff was very nice.

Do you want an afternoon to just chill? Do you NEED an afternoon to just chill? The International Church of Cannabis is your place. First, it's not quite what you think - nothing is sold and nothing is used there. I wouldn't say it's exactly family friendly for every family but there were little kids there. We started with the meditation/laser show. The room, once the church sanctuary, is painted in the brightest colors imaginable. It's absolute eye candy. You sit (or lay) on church pews that are full of squishy pillows. The lights dim, the meditation starts and the lasers illuminate various parts of the room. Even with the rock music, it really was mellow and relaxing. I don't know if you're permitted to sit through it more than once but I know that I would have liked too. While the laser show and "brightness" may be the main draw, the arcade was the most fun for us. Everything is included, no quarters needed. I played ski-ball until my arm was tired. While my husband played Galaga, I was drawn to the lite-brite. Simple? Yes but I wasn't allowed to have one when I was little and this was an absolute thrill for me. We then went into another room where we played Mario Cart - the game was projected onto an entire wall. There were board games, more arcade games, crayons and markers...everything needed to unleash your inner child - my husband and I spent the entire afternoon doing just that. We're back home now. I'm looking at the clock thinking about what to make for dinner. You know what? Heck with it - I'm going to go color instead...

Searching for things to do and see for our June, 2024 trip to the Denver area, I came across the International Church of Cannabis and immediately knew that we had to go here. We visited on the afternoon of Friday, June 21, 2024. After finding free street parking, we arrived shortly before 4 PM, took a few photos outside, then paid $25 per light show ticket for Mom, Auntie Ligaya, Alyssa, and me to watch "BEYOND: A Guided Meditation & Laser Light Experience," a one-hour light show on the church's colorful walls that combines lasers, guided meditation, and music that is open to people of all ages. A ticket also buys you the opportunity to take a look at other components of the Church, including an arcade, media room and turf-covered backyard. Tickets are good for ANY day and time and allows guests to stay for as long as they want. The building, a converted old church, is adorned both inside and out with intricate murals frequently described as "trippy" in news reports. The vivid, surreal paintings are psychedelic in theme, emphasizing bright colors and unique imagery to create an atmosphere you won't find at your hometown cathedral. Contrary to common opinion, the church does not allow for the consumption of cannabis during ordinary services, nor does it sell any marijuana-based products. Luckily, Alyssa and I were a little high during our visit. Watching "BEYOND" was likely much more enjoyable for us because we were a bit baked. Overall, we spent about an hour-and-a-half at the International Church of Cannabis. Definitely a unique spot to visit, but, honestly, the $25 ticket price is a bit steep for the experience.

It was quite an experienced. Situated in an old Victorian church. The inside has an activity things that you can do. Very interesting. The Beyond the light show for 30 mins was good. We were able to lie down and watched the light exhibit. They provide pillows and chairs. Park on your own. The attendants were really friendly . Lots of dyed t shirts as souvenirs . For me it was ok. I was just interested what difference things they offer. Overall it will be a one time visit.

Cool space with a lot to look at. Video games, books, and artistic spaces for the creatives. You could spend awhile here if you wanted. Didn't get to the light show as they were having technical difficulties.. Love the tye dye options for souvenir t-shirts!!

Would definitely recommend stopping by, at first I was hesitant because of the $25 price tag but the light show they do is 40 minutes long and they have a whole entertainment room. You can literally hang out for hours here just coloring, playing Mario kart, arcade games, generally just chilling on the couches.

Such an interesting place. Downstairs, they have a lobby that includes antique/ vintage arcade games, and video games along with multiple 'selfie' areas. Depending on how early you arrive, you may be hanging down here for a while, as the light show is only every hour on the :20 mark. When it's finally time for the show; the liaison gathers everyone up and brings you upstairs, where the actual chapel itself is. You can choose wherever you want to sit, lay, stand, etc., whether it be on some old church pews with pillows or on the carpeted floor. The immersive light show itself was so relaxing, and almost put me to sleep. Overall- cool experience but the $25 price point didn't really match the expectations that I had preconceived in my mind. Reminds me of meow Wolf, a tiny bit. A one and done type thing, but overall worth checking out at least once

It's like a rave inside a stained-glass cathedral that's totally mesmerizing, and weirdly calming at the same time. Before the show, there is a waiting lobby, which is strange, but awesome! Picture this: a mix of neon lights, bizarre art, and more random knick-knacks than you can count. It's like a thrift store on LSD -- in the best way possible. There's so much to look at, that your wait time flies by! By the end of the show, you'll be so relaxed you might forget where you are (and possibly fall asleep right there). It's a good kind of tired, though -- like the "I've just meditated for hours" kind of tired. A totally unique experience that's a must-try if you're in Denver.

We came for the light show and it did not disappoint. Lying on the ground watching the show was so relaxing. We stuck around for awhile after and played some video games and did some drawings. Chill place to spend an afternoon in Denver

Immersive lights show experience that is truly relaxing and elevating. Recommend this place as a local or a tourist. If you visit Denver, this is something to do. People are friendly and accommodating. Its not crowded and plenty of space to roam around. This is basically a church converted to this art piece where people can gather and meditate.

Brought my family out to the church after seeing it on numerous must-see lists. Was concerned it wouldn't be family friendly but my kids had a blast and the light show was entertaining as all get out. Hoping to make another solo trip out sometime!

Absolutely amazing place to check out if you are in the Denver area! From the game rooms, the staff, and the light show is fantastic. Such a welcoming environment and definitely a unique experience!

This place is fun. The light show laser show took me back to my youth. However, my only complaint is the smell. It feels like you're in a guy's room in high school and he probably hasn't washed the carpet in years. A bit of musty smell. Other than that the light show and music are perfect.

A fun experience once. I came back a second time with a friend so that he could experience it. A little bit boring the second time around. Upgrading the music during the chapel part of the experience wouldn't hurt. It's definitely a place that you'll find nice, laid-back people.

I used to go here a lot, and I just went back after not visiting for three years and my gosh, it's somehow more friendly then before. It's even more immersive - with even more interactive technology and lots more new art. 5 Stars because they really made me look cool in front of all of my visiting friends!

Built in 1904 and restored in 2017 when they built the church of cannabis. This place was so awesome! I loved all the quirky decor and the light show in the church itself was unbelievable. We were sober but I can't imagine how much more fun it would be if you were high. The staff were all friendly, and they don't allow videos during the proprietary part of the light show but they dedicate 5 minutes at the end where people can record it for their social medias, which I appreciated.

This place is such a blast, its so fun to look at all the decor and they also have games like ping pong, table top games, coloring, skew ball etc. and then you get to go into the light show which is so trippy, I highlight recommend checking this place out

You can pay $15 to hang out in their game area with Mario kart, two more consoles, retro emulators with thousands of all video games, ski ball, ping pong, board games, coloring books, etc. You could pay $25 to have access to the game area and also gain access to the meditation light show in the church. We decided just to do the $15 ticket so we did not experience the lights and meditation.

Our first time in Denver, Colorado, and we had to check out the church considering it was Sunday. Definitely an amazing place to visit. I loved the idea behind the church and what it took to make it. 10 out of 10 experience

AMAZEBALLS! drove by this little gem on the way to marshals- my bff & i made a U-ey and decided to take a peek. okay... more than a peek. we got to enjoy a whole freaking light show!!! *mind blown* theatrical productions with lucid visuals & sounds to create such vivid realistic dreams! you can come prepared or sober like us ;D and still enjoyed the whole immersive experience. don't want to mention too much & ruin the surprises! just comeeeeeeee, be curious!

I am not nor ever been a smoker of the weed, but I do not judge those that do. When I heard of this place, I found it very interesting and had to check it out. And it did not disappoint. I am not sure if it is a real church or not, but they sure sell it as if it is. First, it is located in an actual church, with pews and everything, second they refer to their frequent visitors as members. The first thing that you will notice when you are pulling up to the place is that it is very colorful and creative. The stair mural is amazing. There is free street parking available out front and within a reasonable walking distance, which is nice. When you walk into the joint you will first come to the desk where you pay for your admission which is $25. On the main floor you will find a stoners dream area that has lounge chairs, couches, and old video games. They also have a "D.A.R.E." Room in the back that is dark and has a video game system displayed on a big screen with couches. This level also feed out to a nice patio area on grass called the Ghandi patio. There is a nice long mural across the fence and tables and chairs out there. The place is located in a neighborhood, so they do have people living next door and request that you be courteous of the neighbors when out on the patio. You will find the church's gift shop on this level as well. You can purchase t-shirts, buttons, stickers, pins, toys, and snacks here. As you could imagine, the staff here were so cool and chill. Like very, very chill. Upstairs is the chapel. You must be escorted up there during a tour and it is an amazing spot. Many people believe that marijuana leads to creativity and by the looks of this place, they may have a point. It is painted in a vibrant style and is well done. You have to see it to believe it. They host special event in there such as guest speakers and having smoke sessions in there for church members after hours. Smoking the J during operating hours is not allowed, because, as they put it, it is a family friendly place. I do not know if I would bring my kids here though. Anyway, after a brief introduction, the guide turns on a 7 minute immersive relation show, followed by a 20 minute light show set to classic rock. It is amazing. It is very well done and I was so impressed. It fills the entire chapel and guests are free to take off their shoes, lay down if they would like, relax, and enjoy the show. I enjoyed the show sober. I can only imagine what it would be like high. After the show, you can choose to hang out in the chapel for a bit or go back down stairs and use the church's facilities. This place is a unique and creative spot and is a diamond in the rough, when it comes to tourist spots, no matter where you stand on the marijuana use debate. I really enjoyed my visit here and highly recommend checking this place out.

This was absolutely breathtaking and relaxing at the same time. Literally felt like I was as free as a leaf for most of it. Super recommend if you want a chill and short activity at Denver!

The International Church of Cannabis was by far my favorite tourist destination that I have ever experienced. Of course, one must have an appreciation for cannabis and a curiosity about the spiritual practice of Elevationism to appreciate this sacred destination fully. This church is open every day of the year, welcoming guests from all over the world to their lounge and guided meditation and laser light experience called Beyond. I decided not to participate in the light show because of motion sickness, so tickets to the lounge were appropriate this time. The staff was amiable and welcomed any questions we had. The church does have services where they partake in the sacrament (cannabis); however, during regular business hours, consumption is not allowed. Inside the lounge, so many activities are available for use. There are 20 different video games, coloring, painting, reading, board games, outdoor activities like corn hole, and a gift shop. Make sure to complete their fun picture scavenger hunt for a free sticker! Overall the lounge was one of the coolest cannabis-friendly hangouts I have ever witnessed. As their website mentions, "The International Church of Cannabis' mission is to offer a home to adults everywhere who are looking to create the best version of themselves by way of the sacred plant...Elevationists claim no divine authority, nor authoritarian structure. Therefore, those of all religious and cultural backgrounds are welcome to visit our chapel and take part in our celebrations." Do you want a place where all are welcome, and cannabis use is a meaningful part of your spiritual journey? Then this is the community you have been searching for.

Plan to spend some time here (2-3 hours!). There is tons of free arcade and video games you are more than welcome to hang out in the shared space and create memories. Also the light show upstairs is really cool they play it every hour during open hours! (It is a bit longer than I expected, almost 40 minutes). There is even an outside garden you can see. I would defiantly recommend going and checking out !

This place is awesome! The show they give is unique and definitely one of a kind. I love the arcade they have. All inclusive too no extra money needed to play the games! Best part lol.

Wow! I didn't know what to expect when coming here but I knew the church was pretty! The experience was impressive and trippy haha Admission is $25 for adults and so worth the experience! I came in the morning and it wasn't super busy at all. I highly recommend coming here if you have time in Denver! Also fun fact, the founders did not have any prior experience creating this place so it's really amazing how they created this place!

Such a unique experience! The room with all the fun stuff was a pleasant surprise as I didn't know there was more than just the church itself. I love the eccentric style, all the color, and how the room is just filled with the most unique yet familiar pieces. I love how they take nostalgic elements like TMNT and Campbell's soup and put such a creative twist on it. I'm not sure if this was the intent but someone I was with pointed out how the main room feels like "sativa" and then you go in deeper and reach the "indica" room (more chill, mellow, quiet, cooler, darker). It's a great way to keep company and have fun while waiting for the show. We came here primarily for the show, which absolutely did not disappoint. It's a great way to slow down and give some time to yourself. My only feedback is that it did feel a bit lengthy. It starts with a 7-minute meditation followed by a 25-minute light show, which in total is over 30 minutes. I personally think it would have been good at 10-15 as it begins to feel a bit repetitive. Still a great time! There truly isn't anything like this and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Denver whether a user of cannabis or not. You really don't need to be a user to have a good time here!

Me and my girlfriend had so much fun at the Beyond light show. The meditation was so relaxing and the laser and rock show were super cool!! The staff were all super friendly and I love that there are games to play. Great place to visit in Denver, highly recommend!!

Loved Loved Loved this Place! I left in the morning with no destination in place other than doing a walking meditation down Cherry Creek. I wore my Pink Floyd shirt; dark side of the moon. After a delicious lunch at Meyan Ramen, I decided to hop a bus and visit the International Church of Cannabis, it opens at 4. What a fun place. The main room has all sorts of retro games and furniture. In the video game room the entire wall was a tv screen! Percy for race car games which what was playing. Upstairs was the Church where the meditation and light show played and several songs from Pink Floyd so my shirt was perfect!

Down the stairs is a bunch of free games and stuff you can purchase. Outside just has some games. All of the reviews are good because if you leave a good review you can get something free. Save your money!!!!!! It says it is a laser show, and it is just a projector on the screen. I cannot believe I paid for this

Cool and interesting non-profit that supports community and holds Cannabis-related events. I like that the place has very liberal vibe and is just something different to see/not common especially in states where Cannabis isn't legal. That said, the place was a slightly let down for me. It's not really a church per se...and entrance is $25pp..but rather more of a shop which downstairs holds a bunch of 1980-90s memorabilias..then upstate is laser light and sound show. I went in there mainly because of the light and sound..I was simply curious what it would be like going there..but really it has nothing to do with church..and the light and sound in the family-friendly event (20 min after every hour) was just...some random light/sound to me (though my friend mentioned maybe those attended would feel better if they take some cannabis/gummies on their own before attending those events). Overall, I was glad to check it out. Honestly, I sort of dozed off during the show because I was pretty tired from the travel...and not so much because of the hypnotism /being high or anything. But..it's probably not a place I would check out again.

Well beyond my expectations. The church is a cross between a interactive play room and a art museum. The meditation, music, and laser show was amazing. Great visual effects combined with classic psychedelic rock. Best of all, it's an actual church that encourages community and love. You can join ice cream socials and other community events by requesting free membership. During normal business hours the church is kid friendly, no cannabis use allowed. They have open play vintage video games, coloring books, and friendly and accepting staff to make you feel free to relax and enjoy the freedom on the Denver culture. Worth a visit, plan to spend at least an hour or more. The laser show is 30 minutes and starts at 20 after every hour.

Certainly one of a kind experience, a short immersion in Elevationism and escape from the yokes and burden from the accepted norms.

This was a cool place. There is not a ton to do other than the light show, so I'd suggest planning your trip around that. You can take pictures after the show, but you can't go into the chapel without going to the show first.

A unique experience to try. Everyone who worked there were so nice. We went to the light show which was expensive but I think it worth checking it out once. They have a cool hangout place with video games and other stuff to do either before or after the light show.
