The Best Butcher Shops In Boston

"You can purchase a whole goat or lamb at this Roxbury butcher shop, as well as cuts of chicken and beef. But we also enjoy the North African and Middle Eastern goods, like pomegranate sauce and dry mallow, that can be harder to find elsewhere. While you’re here, you may want to consider grabbing something from Milkweed too - it’s just down the street, and their lemon ricotta pancakes are always great." - joel ang

Got Goat Legs today, although I called the store before going in and confirmed that it’s fresh, after cooking the meat seemed to be not to fresh at all, had to dump everything!

Gots lots of spices and some nice drinks and frozen stuff. Haven’t gotten their meat but their fish supply is rather scant.

My review is so far only for their meat, for halal purpose I really appreciate how they take care of us, as you know some of halal grocery place sell us even expired meat, but International Halal Market always sell us only great fresh ones. My cat eat their law chicken and VERY HAPPY. I almost can judge quality of meat by how my cat eat them. As you know rest of meat places might sell same product but this place knows how to take care of business. I thank Allah and International Halal Market all the way up !

I had bought meat 2-3 times from them before, and it was okay. But last time, I bought fresh chicken. When I opened it to store in freezer at home, i was very disappointed. Boneless chicken was broken like someone has smashed it against a wall. And colored was very white like it’s already boiled or was in hot water. My mistake, I didn’t check the quality of meat when he packed it inside the butcher’s section.

Nice place and very friendly people, but the new guy in the butcher shop doesn't know how to cut meat. The chicken I bought recently wasnt clean and it was cut into inappropriate sizes. Wasted my Biryani.

Fresh meat. Decent pricing. I am new to Boston and started buying meat and naan from here 2 weeks ago. It's very conveniently located near Roxbury crossing. Recommended for Halal meat.

Poor customer service. Need a lot of work! I don’t recommend and I will never go there. I went there for halal meat. Only one guy is cutting the meat and the line is not moving for 20min.

Yelp
GUYS ! Please visit at least once on your life time. You will be pleased with quality of your choice of meat selection. But please be patient, every meat is cut by order and yes, you could order not cut as well. Manager is the man of the humanity of the Roxbury Crossing, Boston area, Massachusetts USA. He is so informative and if he doesn't have with him, he will kindly conducts us to the best options for individual needs. It's super close from Orange Line stop Roxbury Crossing of MBTA, just across the street and walk left to the store on your right. 66 MBTA bus also goes there. It's quite treat, besides meat, I take Moroccan Fish Can, Turkish Coffee and surprise items. Amazing Goat, Lamb, Chicken, Beef and....freezer had fish too, I can not wait to try all more. Butchers are in the back and they will show you the best options for you, so it's important for you to think what you want and listen to individual worker there for beautiful insights for your great meal plan. Again, AMAZZiNG !!
