It was my first time ordering from here and really enjoyed the food, they have a variety of Persian and Mexican dishes, kebabs and seafood, staff are very patient to get the order and help you decide what you want, they also have vegetarian stews

I'm a frequent customer but this time I have enough. Food was horrible pretty sure from the day before. Yogurt was watery, rice dried and uncooked tomatoes. I just could eat the beef kabob. STOP REHEATING FROM A DAY BEFORE. l restaurant if you wanna keep your customers, food has to taste the same and same quality everyday.

Located in Jon's grocery store to the right. If you are in a rush (maybe even hangry) and want Mediterranean food, this is a good spot! The ingredients are fresh and the food was good.

Ordered family style kabobs and rice with various side dishes, and everything was great! Tender and juicy meats! Plenty of rice to share! Yogurt with cucumber, yogurt with shallot and shirazi salad are terrific, plus Persian flat bread for dipping. I would definitely go back.

Where is my favorite Persian restaurant in the San Fernando Valley? It's International Market Grill. I heard Sadaf in Encino (also in TO and soon BH) is the best in LA (according to different Persians I've met), but for value, I choose International Market Grill. At Sadaf, you'll spend $25+, but here you can have delicious and healthy Persian meal for $10 - $20. My favorite and go-to is any of the Persian rice (these days I get the rice with fava and dill (baghali polo), complimentary fresh sangak, Persian eggplant dip (kashk bademjan) with either the beef or chicken koobideh. I've tried to move away from koobideh, but this to me is their specialty. The gyro is not so good and youll'll be better getting a gyro sandwich at Firehouse in Tarzana...you're welcome. It's inside a Jons and you wouldn't know about it because no one writes about it in the food media. I also like visiting Sabzee Market in Encino, but their parking lot is hell and there's no seating. You can buy any drink or dessert from Jons or Lilit Bakery and bring it to the food court as well. There's family packs and a catering menu. I've ordered large orders multiple times and people I bring it to love their food as well. Tipping is not expected, but if you're in the mood, there's a jar. Lots of parking. I never have any issues. ***Pro-tip: Call in your order and avoid the wait.***

Persian food cafeteria style. International Market Grill is located inside of Jon's Marketplace Van Nuys; they have a second location at Jon's in Torrance. It's mainly a fast casual takeaway spot but seating is available inside if you wish to eat there. Impressive section of Persian style stews, appetizers, salads, rice and grilled meats. Kabobs are made to order and take about 10 to 15mins depending on how busy they are. Family style meals and Catering are super affordable. Freshly made Sangak flatbread are made there. Staff are so helpful and friendly!

I was looking for a good kabob place and reviewed at least 20 places on Yelp before I decided to come here. Boy was I impressed! It was everything I was looking for! Tasty beef koobidehs and rice. Large portion of yogurt sauce comes with it and the bread and hummus were absolutely delicious! I was told the full gyro plate was great as well. (Substituted more rice for the salad). One of my favorite places in Los Angeles so far! I'll be back next time I'm in town!

Located inside of Jons this place is a Persian food paradise. Tons of cooked hot food ready to be served and juicy made to order kabobs. Some kabobs such as the beef koobideh and chicken breasts are halal but others are not. We tried the beef koobideh which was juicy and delicious! The Joojeh kabob (thigh meat) on other hand was dry and I would not order again. I loved the bhagali Pulao!! Super delicious! We also tried the koko sabzi and potato cutlet and didn't really like either. Overall this place is great with a ton of choices and reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

We bought 4 packages of catering for our bb shower here for a great price. They did a great job w making sure everything was prepared right. Everyone in our bb shower enjoyed the food. Will def always come back to them for any catering service!

I work on Van Nuys Blvd and any time I am looking for a nice protein packed lunch meal that option is always International Market grill. I love ordering on the phone and by the time I drive down the street my order is always ready. It is located in the Jon's Market food court. I have been eating here for about 4 years and have never had a bad experience either with the food or the customer service. The restaurant has the menu on the wall which makes it really easy to order my favorite is the #3 with double chicken.

I was first put off by the steam table. But you shouldn't let this bother you. Kebabs were some of the best I've had...cooked to order. In the area next to this place, a bakery is making fresh lavash which is served with the meals. Unexpected bonus!! The to go business was brisk too. The value was definitely five star+. Don't want to say too many good things or else this gem will be overrun!

I hate when the food is so good that you forget to take pictures!!! I've had Iranian food a few times at kebob places and a couple Iranian friends homes. I am shocked at how good the good was here. So wholesome and cooked with love. Surprising for a grocery store deli! I had saffron rice, gormeh sabzi, kookoo sabzi, russian eggplant and lentil stew. It came with a wonderful flatbread that was browner and had lots if sesame seeds compared to the round white pitas you usually get with food from nearby countries. Every thing was delicious and ill be able to make at least 4 more meals out of these portions. I just happened to be at the Kaiser nearby for an appointment. This isnt my usual neighborhood. But if it was, i would eat here all the time.

Sometimes I like to keep hidden gems like this secret in fear of people discovering their amazingness and it getting to busy lol but wow, this place is on another level. Been eating Persian food and Mediterranean food my entire life and all I can say is this place is on the top top of my list. The staff is the best part. Whoever manages this place, keeps this employees very happy because they're always so pleasant and eager to please. I absolutely love every single item on their menu and not even home cooking tastes this good. Please don't ever change!!!! I love you guys!!!

Wow! This place is incredible and I wouldn't have known it was even there unless a friend told me about it. It's in The Jon's Market and well worth finding. I've had many kabobs over the years but these (at least the beef and chicken) are the best I've ever tried. Not only are they so flavorful but they are tender (the beef ones) and melt in your mouth like buttah! I've gone there five times so far and would like to try some of their other dishes but I just can't say no to the 2 kabobs!! Try one chicken and one beef for an introductory plate. It comes with a huge amount of white and saffron rice. I'm just getting hungry thinking of it now. Their salad with cucumbers and tomatoes is also great on the side as is the flat bread that is served with the meal. So good!

Sometimes you need a break from the grand interiors a lot of Persian restaurants around Greater LA tend to have. That's where IMG comes in. Located inside Jon's Supermarket on the 7100 block of Sepulveda, IMG serves delicious Persian cuisine--from Koobideh and a variety of filleted fish to Fesenjoon and Ghormeh Sabzi. FOOD: #19 - Naan-o-Kebab: Delicious and a great deal! The #19 comes with x2 Koobideh, x2 Chicken Kebab, x4 grilled tomatoes, and fresh basil and onions on top of Sangak bread; packets of sumac are also included. The Koobideh and chicken kebabs were cooked well, with the latter being the most flavorful. When combined with slices of tomato, onions, basil and sumac on a piece of their fresh and delicious Sangak bread, it all just ties so well together. This could certainly feed 2 to 3 people (or one very hungry person). Pair this with bottles of Ayran and you're set. #9 - Gheimeh Stew with Basmati: Good! It's basically a well-seasoned split pea soup, but more savory and with mutton mixed in. I loved the texture of the split peas and tender mutton. More mutton mixed in would be great, but this is delicious nonetheless. The lady who took my order scooped a generous amount of rice. I'd order both again, although the Spicy Chicken Kebabs and poached fish look just as delicious. Long story short, IMG serves tasty and freshly cooked Persian food with friendly service to boot. I'll be back for sure.

This place is BOMB DOT COM. I've been going to this place since it opened and the quality and taste has always been great. At REALLY reasonable prices, you can tell that the people behind this place care so much about the food they put out -- everything always tastes so authentic! Recently, I had the chance to order catering plates (Middle Eastern cuisine) and I kid you not, my friends asked if I had someone's mom make the food from because everything was straight fire. Don't sleep on the Market Grill, you'll regret it for sure!

I'm so glad a friend turned me on to this spot. I've been inside other Jon's Markets just this is one of the few with an international food market inside. Inside you can choose an item and 2 sides for around $8.00 ranging from Persian Food, Greek and Mexican Food. Today I tried their Hawaiian Chicken Kebob, Persian herb rice and their cucumber Mediterranean salad. Plus each dish comes with a side of the Persian Sangak bread which is delicious. So many different selections, this will be a regular for my lunch breaks close to my office. Definitely give this place a try! Next visit I plan to try their Gyro plate and their various fish dishes.

There are many Persian restaurants around and the quality and price very greatly. I found Market Grill a few years ago. I wasn't expecting much mainly because of their prices. What a shock. The kebabs were large and delicious. I have tried most of their other fare over the years but the koobideh is always my favorite. They have the best koobideh in town. Also, not only is their food the best around, their service is just as great. These guys are friendly and do their best to make sure you have the best food you can get for your money. You can't go wrong with Market Grill.

Food was good like always...but guess there was miscommunication?! I tried to order 4 gyro wraps, but ended up with 1 wrap and 3 plates...Still got eaten, Just wasn't what I ordered?! Why I only gave 4 stars...So, I will make sure, next time to check foods prior to leaving?! Don't really have pics to post as my peeps were hungry enough to eat what they got!! You won't regret ordering and eating here, just check your order especially big ones like mine, for pick up!

I have been going here for quite sometime now! The food is absolutely delicious!!! The quality is second to none Everything they serve is great!! There 1/2 chicken is the best in Los Angeles by far!! No ones can compare and you get two wondeful sides. Your host Brian, will greet you with his warm smile, along with cooks Sergio, and Carla, who are the very best around Im sure that you will agree! I understand they have customers that drive 50 miles to come here, and then return home after they dine, it is that good!! International Market Grill is a delicious gem located inside Jons supermarket. This establishment is not one to judge from the outside. Though the atmosphere is no-frills, the food is the beauty you seek. When I'm in a rush and looking to satisfy my cravings for Middle Eastern food, I usually come here. This fast casual eatery serves terrific pre-prepared Persian, Greek and Mexican dishes at reasonable prices and good value. The dining area provides clean, adequate seating. Both the chicken barg and kabobs plates are excellent. The meat is fresh, well-seasoned and very tender. They're cooked to order and come with choice of two sides. I usually get the basmati rice with my order, but I recently discovered baghali polo rice which is made with basmati rice, dill, and fava beans. OMG it's so aromatic and scrumptious. I can devour this by itself. It cost a few dollars more, but so worth it and portions are generous. The side of shirazi salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, parsley, salt and lemon juice) completes it. Made fresh daily and fabulous. Great service - the staff is friendly and helpful. If you're a fan of Middle Eastern food, you definitely have to try this place. I haven't had their Mexican dishes on the menu, but judging by other reviews and my past/recent dining experience, I will be back again to give it try! Review update to follow.

I've been using this market grill to buy Persian food to go orders, last order I picked up tasted like crap and overcharged, came here today to bring it to the manager attention, manager is trying to tell me otherwise. NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN TERRIBLE DISGUSTING FOOD

I've been here a few times and pretty much always get the same thing: Ghormeh Sabzi ( no rice, thanks), Shirazi salad, and yogurt with cucumber. The Ghormeh Sabzi is always fragrant and flavorful with plenty of large chunks of beef. The tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers in the Shirazi are diced to the perfect size and the dressing has just the right amount of tang to it. The yogurt with cucumber is very thick and not watered down like it seems to be at some places. They have a very large menu and someday I'll get around to trying something else. For now I'll stick to my Persian trifecta.

The food here is pretty good. But they are closed every time I want dinner. I went there today and it was just after 6:30 and there was nothing available. Everything was cleaned & put away. Its a shame, because Market Grill would make more money of they stayed open the hours that are listed.

Most recently, a gyro wrap with hot cheetos! Haha! IMG is a hidden gem inside the Jon's market. They have all their food hot and ready to serve, buffet style! Most of their combos are under $10 with generous servings. Lots of healthy options with lots of spices and seasonings....sweet, tart or savory. Eating here before I get my groceries always inspires my next homecooked meal!

I literally crave this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get the #1 it's your choice of chicken or beef kabob w/ rice & yogurt w/ fresh baked bread kind of reminds me of a tortilla. It's Persian food (I think) It's was only $6.99 for the lunch special before 2pm & after its $1 more. I have brought a couple of my friends here & they love it too! It's super fresh & healthy & very very tasty! The best part is that they also have Mexican food too. Oh & today I saw that they made slow cooked lamb. It's like a hot buffet but I see ppl take out party orders. I might do that next time I host something. Do YOURSELF A FAVOR & TRY THE FOOD HERE!

My go to spot for filling me koobideh fix. Prices are pretty good and the food and staff are awesome even though they get swamped with people sometimes!

Ordered the salmon with two sides. The girl behind the counter said the vegetables would be another 15-20 minutes so we paid and did some grocery shopping. 15 minutes later we came back and another girl gave us the boxes and we left! She looked at both boxes and didn't even notice we were missing the second side for my dish. So upsetting we paid $11 for this

Man..I can't believe I didn't know about this place was inside of Jon's supermarket. The food is great and reasonably priced.

Finally got the opportunity to try this!! First of all, the service is amazing, I called to ask if I could order ahead and the girl who responded was very helpful and patient with my indecisive self (I'm so sorry). Now onto the food, I ordered a chicken kabob plate with rice and salad AND a breathtaking gyro wrap. They did tell me that the plate usually comes with pita, but they ran out which was sort of a bummer because I love bread, but I appreciate them telling me before I ordered. The gyro meat was soft and delicious and the bread it was wrapped in (I believe it's called sangak bread, correct me if I'm wrong) was incredible. The wrap was HUGE! Ate half, but I definitely shouldn't have haha. It did have a lot of bread which depending on your style you might dislike, but I was clearly delighted lol. I didn't have the chicken kabob plate, but the person who did said everything was fresh and had great taste. Tips: 1. If you want salad you have to tell them, it's optional. If you don't you get all rice. 2. Order ahead unless you have 20m to spare.

This is the worst place. 1st time customer and I called in my order for a chicken kabob plate. The lady said it would be 10.99. I asked how much would it be to add another kabob she said 4.99 I get there paid for my food when I realized I was charged 9.99 I asked why when the lady said 4.99. They said she was wrong an extra kabob is 9.99. Which is a dollar less from the plate. I felt ripped off. Never again will I go there and the kabob was dry tasting too

Went back after a couple of years. Had Hawaiian Chicken with corn and potatoes. The chicken was fresh and tasty. The sides was good as well Along with bread. The service was good. I got the lentil soup that was tasty as well. Definitely will go back!!This is place is a good value indeed!

So the Market Grill restaurant inside Jon's Fresh market on sepulveda and Sherman way is so delicious. I love chicken breast and this hidden gem makes it perfect every time. So tender and yummy. The special marinade makes every bite sooo good! The plate comes with a huge helping of rice and your choice of one more side from fresh salads to Mac and cheese. Also if you're in a hurry they have great ready to go food choices. You definitely get your money's worth. I also really like the fun group of young employees that remember you and make you feel welcome like Bryan, Sergio and Carla. Please say hi to them if you go. They are great people. So really if you try this place you will go back just like me.

Great food selection. Always fresh. Especially the kebabs with their fresh baked Persian bread are bomb. Very fair pricing so far. Also we recently had a family gathering and picked up larger portions of food. The quality was very even at that scale up! I definitely recommend The Market Grill morning inside Jons Grocery Store.

I'm so glad I went on Yelp and found these guys! I didn't know if I wanted Mexican or Persian food...well what do you know? This place has BOTH with some Greek too! You can't go wrong coming here! The owner here is super friendly and makes his food with pride. I love that if you are NOT familiar with Persian cuisine, although I think you should...we live in LA. :p, come here! The cuisine is beautifully displayed so you know what you are eating! I see so many Middle eastern people ordering here, it must be good! With so many Persian restaurants here in the valley, you cannot simply be mediocre! Visit them inside the JONS!

Absolutely marvelous! Called ahead for pick up, and the food plus sides for 3 was ten bucks per person! Chicken was moist and tender, the fesenjoon delicious, the rice well cooked and the yogurt sauce, yummy! Yep going back!

What a hidden gem! My husband and I walked into the Jons market to kill some time before an appointment we were early to in the area, and we stumbled across this little cafe style/order at the counter restaurant inside. The gentleman that served us was named Angel, and he was wonderful! Very gracious and friendly! We ordered a gyro plate and tilapia plate and both entrees were amazing. My husband said it was the best gyro he's had in LA! I loved my tilapia plate. The fish was perfectly seasoned and the two sides I picked (rice pilaf and creamed spinach) were both delicious, especially the spinach. It was one of the tastier and more flavorful creamed spinach dishes I've ever had. The price was on point too - very inexpensive for the quality and amount of food. Large portions, great value, lots of variety, delicious food and welcoming, hospitable service... this place has it all and we'll definitely be back!

Drove to this place out of mere curiosity since nobody I know actually recommended it but the menu looked intriguing specially for a restaurant located inside a supermarket. Parking is a bit hectic because is shared with a bunch of other stores (clothing, BofA, etc) but there's always a spot to park. I ordered a #1 (beef kobideh/luleh) and while it only comes with a grilled tomato, a pepper, and no pitta or hummus, the flavor of the meat and rice was definitely on point (no pieces of nerve on the meat and the basmati was moist) Great place, great food,... I'll definitely be back to try their chicken kabob or even the soltani.

The food used to be amazing. I would tell friends the Persian food was tastier than Raffi's. However, recently the kabobs are burnt and 25% smaller. I used to order at least once every 2 weeks from here for the last 4 years, but not so much any more. You guys are really leaving me disappointed.

their Koobideh...wow...best I have had by far. This place gives great portions and isn't so expensive so definitely getting bang for your buck. The owner explained that he grinds his own meat and you can definitely tell that from tasting the food. Normally when I order Koobideh at other places, the restaurants will usually overcook the meat, but this place gets it just right. Not to burned not too raw. I came and got a number 1 combo under the persian section. Dont forget to ask for the white sauce as well. Its like icing on the cake. This place doesn't just have delicious koobideh, they also serve greek, mexican, Italian food (hence the name international market grill) they also have great daily specials. Place is inside Jons Supermarket to the right of the market. definitely a place i would recommend to someone and definitely coming back here

I've tried the beef koobideh, Ghorme Sabzi, Gheyme Bademjoon, Kashkebademjoon, Shohlezard, Salad Olivieh, Sangak, Ashe Reshte (hearty soup), tilapia filet, & kookoo sabzi. My favorite are the Ghorme Sabzi, Gheyme, and Ashe Reshte. These stews are delicious. Their koobideh, used to be a little better, maybe last time I went, they had an off day but it felt a little rubbery. I eat their food on a regular basis for dinner, at least twice a week, but usually 3 times a week because it's cheap, and it's delicious. Also, their customer service is top-notch, the owner and all the workers are super friendly, and their portions are generous. With one order of Gheyme you can feed at least 4 people (and get full). They give you samples of anything if you ask. Not too crazy about: koo koo sabzi (tasted a little egg-y? to me) and tilapia (too fishy). But everything else is pretty good.

Wow! This place is amazing and more people should know about this hidden place inside Jons. My wife and I shared Number 11 and let me say that it was delicious! More than enough for 2 people or one very hungry person. Fresh basil, grilled tomatoes, onions, moist beef, and classic hummus wrapped with that very addictive Persian bread made my taste buds light up. Great customer service and very affordable prices. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes.
