Yelp
Excellent sushi. We were looking for a place with a great quality:price ratio and we found it!
We ordered the Color roll, dragon roll, and Chef's special. The color roll and dragon roll did feel a bit like inexpensive filler but they were nonetheless satisfying.
The Chef's special was nice as well though I didn't like the eel nigiri, it was much bonier than the previous times I've had eel. Other than that, the tuna and salmon nigiri couldn't have had higher quality for the price and the crunchy/rainbow/color rolls were enjoyable.
10 pieces for 10 bucks for the dragon rolls is more than fair. We aren't sure how the deal is for the chef's special. I would say its worth getting the nigiri but my husband would rather buy two sets of the Maki rolls.
It doesn't seem to change you much money at the end of the day to do a combo because the cost of the nigiri alone is ~2.50 per piece whereas the nigiri is sold as part of the combo is still ~2.50/piece. I personally would still go for it since it isn't any more expensive and it's nice to try different types of nigiri you normally wouldn't order for yourself.
Including a 20% tip, we paid 50 bucks but we were more than stuffed at the end. Getting a comparable meal at Kyoto sushi ran ~71 bucks for two at dinner hour. Well worth the price, certainly just as good, if not better fish quality.
