"Ensconced in the Freigeist hotel is this appealingly modern and lively restaurant. Diners have the option of sitting at the counter with views of the action in the open kitchen, as the team prepares a broad offering of Japanese and South American cuisine: dishes range from sushi and sashimi, tempura and yakitori to meats grilled in the Josper oven. These are also perfect plates for sharing." - Michelin Inspector

It is a very nice restaruants located in the design hotels. It serves both perruvian and Japanese dish with blending concept. Staffs are very friendly. If you are overwhelmed by the menu, you can always ask for the recommendation. Recommend to go with a group and share the dishes for more varieties.

The restaurant was dimly lit, which created a cozy and intimate feeling that was perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two. The quality of the food ingredients was also top-notch. The fish used in the sushi was incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the cuts of beef used in the steak dishes were really good. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this fusion restaurant. I appreciated the attention to detail that went into each dish and drink, and I loved the combination of Japanese and South American cuisines. If I had one suggestion, it would be to see even more fusion of these two cuisines on the menu.

Delicious food with great service. We had an amazing dinner here and almost everything we tried was delicious. The waiters were attentive and fun. Unfortunately the dishes are quite pricey but def great. I also love the aspect of ordering dishes and then sharing everything and trying new things . They do have some great vegetarian options as well.

Nice place, in the hotel, nice fish plates, not big plate but ok, cooked on the fire/grill, good wine list, good service, nothing bad to say, I recommend!

Incredibly disappointed. We were excited to try some Japanese and Peruvian Fusion food, even if it were a little expensive. We tried the Chef’s recommendation. Out of some 20 things, 3 were nice (the Aubergine, the Salmon and the caramel ice cream (?) in the dessert). The rest of the food was average especially for the price charged. The cocktails were good, but quantities could have been more. Very nice and friendly service though.

Amazing restaurant that I went to eat twice, while staying only 3 days in Göttingen. I'm still thinking about the IKOKU UDON soup I ate there - yum!

Amazing experience, high quality food in good portions and friendly service. If you can afford it, try the chef's special, but you can also go there for a decently priced bowl. I would love to come back! I can confirm that they sometimes seem to forget to serve you (I once waited for a long time and had to wave before we even got the menu), but service was great once we had ordered and staff was otherwise very competent and friendly. It did not diminish the experience.

Promising - but some management effort needed here. Things need to be fixed - such a mixed experience and what a pity in these promising settings! The food: The main course was just about perfect. The desserts probably good too, if they had been timely served. The wine: The open wine was good value. The service: After an initial fine start, with help getting seated, the service detoriated quickly after the main course, to the point of being be pretty much absent. We had to ask three different waiters for the desserts menu, which finally arrived - in the form of a QR-code card. OK, corona... When we finally had the chance to order, another long wait went by. The desserts had been ready for a while, but just not able to make it to our table - evident by my wife's lemon tart meringue toppings gone soft. We really liked the hotel, the ambiance, and most of the staff were great. But the restaurant staffing needs to be upped, in quantity as well as quality. Quite often, the staff went clueless around with food and drinks, not knowing which table actually placed the order. Stressful or disorganized? I actually think they tried their best. But some management and guidance could do wonders to the experience. The hip-and-relaxed ambiance at the hotel doesn't mean that you can do without professional/well-educated staff. We will probably give the hotel another go, but would have second-thoughts about the restaurant.
