"The Black and Blue Bites — a dish of blackened tenderloin, melted bleu cheese, and portobello mushrooms with horseradish cream — is a must at Inver Grove Brewing Co. The menu features American fare like lake perch fingers, reuben nachos, and dill pickle wings. You’re as likely to find an amber ale here as an IPA, as there’s a huge tap list of house and guest beers." - Louis Livingston-Garcia, Eater Staff

Yelp
IGB has such great food and a wide range of drinks! They are also very willing to modify menu items to accommodate picky eaters like myself! I'm a big fan of their nachos, pizza and tacos! I was so excited to dig in that I failed to take a picture so I will update the review next time I go! Their parking lot tends to run out of spots fast but the overall vibe and wait staff will make up for any struggles getting in!

Yelp
Had the new "It Takes Two to Mango" sour and the new "Hot Hoagie" pizza. The sour was very good. The pizza was interesting, but I wouldn't get it again. Very much like a taco pizza, but could have used more garlic aioli sauce. Service was reasonably quick. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Restaurant was busy. The restaurant charges a 2.6% fee to pay with credit card, but didn't reduce the price of their food by 2.6% which had the credit card processing fee baked in. This is an irritating way to raise prices. In the most recent visit, they brought the Toast Tab payment terminal to the table to pay instead of taking the card back to the register - this presents the annoying 25% 20% 18% tip options when you pay, instead of letting you just choose how much to tip.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Sunday before noon. This is the second time I've been here and I like that they change up their menu often. My friends love their bloodies and I tried there. I typically do not like them, but this one was tasty. Actually, this was the first bloody I've ever ordered. You can pair a regular sized beer for an additional $2. Mel was our server and she was a doll. We sat on the patio and it quickly filled up - about 11 or 12 tables. She was the only server outside and we felt bad for her. She tried her best, but it was too many tables for one person. My drinks didn't come to the table until well after my meal was delivered. We found out that management cut servers before the lunch hour. I'm not sure how that makes any sense!? Poor decision on their part and many tables were waiting like ours. One server can only do so much. Bottom line: nachos, parm bites, bloody and Octoberfest were all excellent. Would come again and hope management don't cut staff right before lunch and/or dinner rush!

Yelp
Very good spot for a beer and something good to eat. 2nd time stopping and will be back again. Food excellent and beer selection very good. Thumbs up.

Yelp
Great beer selection and now that I am a non drinker super stoked to see they had a few options for the NA drinkers! Sat at the bar - which is large and seats are comfy A few screens were on so able to catch a bit of a twins game while sipping a really cold NA called Nialas my new fav / dark N A House salad was a great size a bit pricey but not outrageous and fresh so thumbs up for that! We shared a pizza which is a fav here called sweet and spiced sausage with a hint of honey! Really tasty highly recommend! Bartender was pleasant and attentive- always appreciated! Outside seating and I did spot a dog so dog friendly to boot!!

Yelp
Nice place with a great vibe and a menu that should suit the palettes of most patrons. We had a party of seven on Mother's Day, and they readily accommodated our party, which was a huge plus. We had a few of their beers, and overall they are well-made but nothing to write home about. Menu-wise, it is mostly bar/pub fare consisting of burgers, pizzas, some pasta dishes, and sandwiches. I did notice that they had oysters Rockafellar and in the half shell. I might give these a shot next time. Some of the highlights that are worthy of consideration are the wings. I ordered the plain dry-rubbed wings, which were exactly what I wanted. I also ordered the cauliflower for the group to share; this was undoubtedly a group favorite. Several others ordered the pork tenderloin. It is a nice gimmick and presentation to pound out a tenderloin thin enough that it extends out from the bun three or four inches, but it just makes it more work to eat. It was delicious. However, they need to serve it with mustard and not that house sauce they provide with just about everything. I had their hamburger, and kudos for serving it as requested: Med-rare. I will give it another shot another day

Yelp
The beers were amazing! And the staff were so nice! The atmosphere is emasculate it's a nice mix of restaurant and bar. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I come here sometimes because it's really close to my in-law's. I'd say it's okay especially food wise. I've never had a bad meal here but it has never been outstanding either... and I didn't realize there was a regular knee high and orange cream knee high. I thought I ordered the orange cream one when I asked for knee high but I quickly realized it was a regular one so that was a bummer haha. The service was good. The ambiance is nice for a casual and maybe to watch some sports.

Yelp
We met some friends for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner as well. I had the stout which was very tasty, smooth with nice rich flavors. I chose the Greek salad for my meal. Lots of fresh veggies with a nice tangy salad dressing. I also really liked the pretzel breadstick. It was starting to get busy at 4:30 and by dinner time, it was hopping. Service was excellent with our server being very knowledgeable about beer options. I like the vibe in here, lots of TVs, lots of people talking, and lots of energy. Fun place to connect with others.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Stopped in for beers and bloodies after a walk event with some friends. We sat on the patio as its likely one of the last times for the year. Mel was our server. She is friendly and visits with her customers. I did feel for her, she was left with serving the busy patio area without much assistance. She apologized for not being as attentive and we appreciated that. This is one of my favorite places to get a bloody. Bloody mix is homemade and has a great blend of spices. Steak tacos are one of my favorites on the menu. Always delicious and great portion size too. Overall, good dining experience.

Travis H.

Yelp
This was my 2nd time here. I finally got my wife and some to try them out! We had the bacon spinach dip for an appetizer and it's a 10 out of 10!! I had the bison burger for my main meal and it was cooked perfectly. We will be back again soon!

Aneesa K.

Yelp
Service at the bar is always great. Food tasty , beer beer and more interesting beers made on premises good . I ordered chili really good, just like I make it . Sorry I gobbled it down and couldn't stop to take a picture Muscle's were delicious and comes with a fresh baked pretzel stick(?) personally for that delicious sauce it comes with, the breading should be toasted baguette slices‍ and lots of butter to schmeer on it THEN DUNK into that delicious broth

Laura K.

Yelp
Inver Grove Brewing always seems to be busy when we go, but rightfully so! They brew some delicious beers but also dominate in the kitchen. We recently came and ordered drinks off the brunch cocktail menu. The beermosa is beer mixed with orange juice and I may ditch mimosas in favor of these forever. The Bloody Mary mix is ON POINT. A great balance of flavor and heat, very original tasting. We shared the pickle pizza which is something we've had before and really enjoy. We tried the chicken wings for the first time. The wings were saucy and crispy and the chicken itself was moist so 10/10 as far as wings go. We liked the house wings which are a mix of buffalo, bbq sauce and blue cheese. Yum! IGB is my favorite restaurant in Inver Grove Heights

Ashley J.

Yelp
Great food, drinks, and ambiance! Always is pretty busy but they get you in fast. Love their cocktails!

Emily K.

Yelp
Favorite place to go ever since it opened. Great food and friendly staff. Food always comes out quick and family friendly! Chicken eggs Benny, bloody Mary's, and any of the tacos and pizzas are just a few of our favorites! Only thing that would make a 10/5 review for us is if you could "join the waitlist" before coming since they don't take reservations.

Brad L.

Yelp
This is our favorite local brewery in IGH. Not only are there beers really good, but the food in-house is SPECTACULAR. I really enjoy their Spicy Sausage and Pepperoni with honey pizza as well as their French dips. I've had many things from the menu and have always been pleased. You can't go wrong with anything. The only time we had troubles was on a Saturday night. We tried to make reservations and they only accept walk-ins. It was super packed, but happy to see they are thriving. They offer cocktails and beer, so if you don't like beer there are other options. Kid friendly as well. If you live close to Inver Grove Heights, you need to try it out.

Megan W.

Yelp
Inver Grove Brewery has the perfect amount of beer and cocktail mixes for anyone in the party. The service is great with the wait staff having great recommendations on drinks and food. The food is delicious, my personal favorite was the pretzel bites. If you're looking for somewhere fun and chill this is the place to go, but get there early as it tends to fill up fast.

Matt F.

Yelp
Good for the area. I've now went to IG Brewing dozens of times. They always have a good selection of microbrews and their own beers are generally good. I've also eaten there many times. Having had more items on the menu, I do find that much of their items are ok but not particularly memorable for my preferences. For the area, this is a great spot though, and it holds it's own against many of the places in nearby cities (excluding St Paul/ Mpls). Decent service and a loud but fairly comfortable environment that's a bit more restaurant than brewery. As an aside, all things being equal, I prefer Lakeville Brewery (owned by the same group that started IG Brewing) for food and their beers.

Tricia K.

Yelp
I really enjoy this restaurant! This was my second visit and the beer and food is always good. I LOVE the pickle rollup pizza. The crust is so light and delicious with a cream cheese topping with prosciutto and pickles topped with lots of mozzarella cheese. It's so amazing! For beer, I tried The Bubble Peach. It's an American lager, good flavor and not too heavy. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the gorgeous MN evening. It is quite large with high tops and picnic tables and cute lights. Our server was great too! Only complaint we had was one of the hostesses was extremely rude. But she was only a minute of our evening, so no biggie! Try this place, it's really very good.

Athony B.

Yelp
Awesome brewery with a vibrant atmosphere for all ages. The food was prepared to a high degree of satisfaction and the service was attentive and knowledgeable. They will definitely see get my business again.

Kelsey R.

Yelp
There were a bunch of different options because the brunch menu was also available. I enjoyed my corned beef hash and we also ordered some sides that were very good. I was very impressed with their kids meals. Their food was also good and included dessert.

Carrie K.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Fun atmosphere, yet still able to hear & converse at the table. Friend & I split these two appetizers, of which we got the small order on the nachos & couldn't finish it. Reuben nachos had crusty rye bread sticks, instead of chips. Then topped w/corned beef, cheese (which was all melty), saurkraut, coleslaw & served w/thousand island dressing. It was so different & good! They also had a Rachel version w/turkey & two other types of nachos. Lots of burgers, etc. Definitely give them a try. Only slight negative w/ my friends alcohol drink had a cool huge ice cube in it, & while it looked cool (& probably was ), it displaced a fair amt of any liquid in the glass. We'll be back.

Lynn L.

Yelp
This was our second visit so we've now been inside and outside. Staff is efficient and friendly. The patio is spacious (with a brand new bar). Full bar sos you don't have to just drink beer, despite the name. (Husband had two of the beers brewed here and said yes, he would have them again but wouldn't seek them out). The food both times has just been ok, at best. There is a pretty wide menu so maybe we just haven't hit yet on what's really good. On this visit, we both tried the pork tenderloins. They were very big but just ok. (I'm originally from Iowa. I know a good tenderloin!:) Bigger isn't always better. We will probably go back when nearby, but wouldn't go out of our way.

Jade W.

Yelp
A fun restaurant! There's outdoor dining with live music or indoor dining and bar seating. The staff are super friendly and helpful with deciding on a beer choice. Boneless wings - decent but have a lot of breading, even for boneless wings. Sweet inferno was the best sauce we tried. The Eli's raspberry sauce was way too sweet. Dewey Thai Pizza - The menu says to ask for it spicy, which I did and it still wasn't spicy at all. I really enjoyed the crust to toppings ratio, and it had a good flavor. Bacon Patty Melt - delicious

Paul C.

Yelp
Walleye Torta - is phenomenal The service is exceptional-and remember, its not just a restaurant its a brewery & Sports Bar

Nicole H.

Yelp
My aunt, uncle and I recently went when I visited the area on vacation. None of us had been before but were told it was great. We had a booth in the bar. We were seated promptly, our server was amazing (sorry, I didn't get her name) and the food was great overall. My chicken sandwich with beans, Mexican cheese and avacado was phenomenal. My aunt and uncle liked their food too. ONLY problem was that my aunt and I ordered extra crispy fries and they were both very soggy. Big bummer. Also the dip appetizer was just so-so, but my sandwich and the spot-on service made up for it. We did not drink here as I'm a non-drinker. Would definitely recommend!

Biker B.

Yelp
After much disappointment dining out, this place is such a breath of fresh air. Great food and great air staff. I had oysters on the half shell for an appetizer and the house burger. The oysters tasted fresh and not fishy or ammonia. The oysters were tasty. The burger was a typical pub burger with premium ingredients and fresh veggies on top. My wife had the melt sandwich and that was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place to eat. I look forward to trying their other offerings.

Hannah G.

Yelp
We stopped at Inver Grove Brewing when we were passing through the area and SO GLAD we did! From beers to service to food, we have a great experience! We sat at the bar and Nicolle gave us some great beer recommendations. Hubby got a flight of 4 IPAs (for just $8!) and I got a peach lager. Hubby got the nachos and loved them. He kept raving about the chili on top of the nachos. I got the Chicken Torta and really enjoyed the sandwich. Great job, IGB!

Amy B.

Yelp
This a cozy, fun place! They had a live singer and we were right next to him. He played with the volume just right. Very talent guy! Service was friendly and fast, especially during a crowded house. Reuben nachos were surprisingly a tasty start! We had the dill pickle wings and the dry curry rub. Um yum! I really was thinking the pickle was going to go wrong there, but very good flavor! Big helping of French toast bites and a long stick of bacon for the kiddos for $5 each. And the pizza... pepperoni cups. Yep. Yum. Now the flights... my fav in order: 1. Night Shift Coffee Lager 2. Tropic Thunder 3. Knee High 4. The Bubble - Peach Also tried the Key Lime, Orange Cream, Bubble and Cream Ale. Such a good selection! Cheers to this place!

lyle m.

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten here twice and have had very good meals both times. I am not a fan of non traditional beer but it seems everyone else is. Even though I could not get a Coors Light beer that will not stop me from having a good meal there again!!

Danny A.

Yelp
As a craft beer lover and avid taproom traveler, I had to make it out to Inver Grove Brewing as soon as they opened and they keep me coming back. IGB being a brew pub offers not only house crafted beer but also delish pub grub and fun craft cocktails. The space is open and well lit with tall ceiling and lots of windows. Combined with a fun and energetic staff you get yourself a welcoming beer hall hard to pry away from after a beer and an app. The beer menu is sizable boasting a variety of styles such as Stouts, IPAs, and Ambers. A few of my recommendations being the Fun Juice NEIPA, knee High Cream Ale and, Pa Pas Pilsner. When I'm tipping a few cold ones back there is nothing better then a menu full of filling pub style creations. One of my favorite items is the Rueben Nachos with Fried Danish bread, corned beef, kraut, coleslaw and cheese. The corned beef is soft and tender and melts in your mouth; a perfect compliment to the crunch from the fried bread and tangy kraut. The coleslaw gives a nice creamy finish. IBG comes highly recommended and in my opinion is one of the top brew pubs in the TC area. Also visit Lakeville Brewing!

Tracey F.

Yelp
A great little find in the south suburbs. Does seem to get busy quick and can be a bit loud, but get past that and the beer and food are good. Beer selection is fairly vast, so you're bound to find something you like. They also partner with a couple other local places to bring in other beers and ciders. Had the chicken tacos and it was enough food to split - 3 large tacos and a hearty side of tortilla chips with salsa. Partner had a French dip with the sweet potato tots. Also, easily splittable. Service is fast, so you can get in and out fairly quick. Do everyone a favor of there is a line of people waiting and don't dink around not buying anything and taking up a seat.

Erin C.

Yelp
My husband went here with a colleague, and they both noticed that my husband specifically was treated differently compared to everyone else. Note: my husband is Mexican. He was the only nonwhite customer in there at the time. He doesn't have a Yelp, so I'm leaving a review. 1 star for being racists. You don't deserve to be in business if you're going to be racist.

Nancy W.

Yelp
What a surprise! Food scratch made and delicious, on tap beers plentiful, service top notch. Our table had the Thai Chicken salad, the House Burger with Sweet Potato Tots, and the Thai Chicken Spicy pizza. We were able to take advantage of happy hour prices; our tab was quite reasonable. We will be back...sooner rather than later. (I almost didn't want to leave a review, lest they become more popular...you're welcome.)

Cynthia F.

Yelp
The bone-in chicken wings are the best!! I've tried 4 different flavors and so far the honey Sriracha inferno reins supreme!

Sarah W.

Yelp
Very happy with this brewery! Not only are their beers very good, but they also have an excellent kitchen and a full bar. We came on a Saturday when they had live music (a very good guitarist) which created a great atmosphere. No worries about their safety precautions with staff and patrons. Mask wearing is taken very seriously with everyone being cognizant of social distancing. I was super impressed with our server, Mary, and the beertender, Brad, who were top notch and attentive. Overall, an excellent experience.

Jil Z.

Yelp
We loved the splash ipa!! Great beer and ambience. Kid and pet friendly. Fun neighborhood too

Zac G.

Yelp
This #wingwednesday I want to show you a new flavor at @invergrovebrewing I tried - Inferno. Inferno is a sriracha honey blend that I really enjoyed. This is the hottest flavor variety IGH Brewing offers. I would love to see a hotter version but these were still nice with a little heat. The honey really comes though nicely on these wings which is not always easy to do when combined with any type of pepper/heat. I also had to get the Dill pickle dry rubs again. The Dill pickles are my favorite wing flavor at IGH Brewing. They do a nice job highlighting that sharp & tart dill flavor to shine. When you combine that with a nice crispy wing that they also achieve it's hard to beat. Have you been to IGH Brewing for wings yet? If you have, whats your fav? If you haven't, you gotta go! l

Yelp
Incredibly busy on the Saturday afternoon we went on. It was already past the lunch rush hours but this place was still popping. There were a lot of families here so I'd say this place was kid friendly. A live band was also playing crowd pleaser hits. We were seated right away but it took a while to get served. But since they were busy, we couldn't really complain. Otherwise, service was excellent. I ordered the Watermelon Strawberry Sour and Walleye Torta. The beer selection was decent and it was nice to see pours from other breweries offered as well. The Walleye Torta was okay. Although the individual ingredients were good, I just didn't really enjoy the torta. I would order something else next time. My boyfriend got the pork tacos. The meat was juicy and flavorful. It came with a side of chips and salsa. Overall, food is a very good value. It's not expensive and they give you large portions. I can't wait to return and try more food and beer.

Gaby R.

Yelp
Went here on a Friday night with some friends for dinner and drinks. We went knowing the wait was going to be pretty long (an hour). However we were able to get a beer from the bar until our table was ready, so it wasn't too bad. The food was really good. I HIGHLY recommend getting the sweet potato tots. They were SO GOOD.

Jaime R.

Yelp
I was initially drawn to try this place after driving by, subsequently checking out the menu online and seeing PICKLE FLAVORED WINGS!? And a pickle flavored pizza... and a pickle chicken sandwich... and pickled perch fingers. I mean seriously sign me up! Finally a few months later we were able to check it out. It was super busy in the parking lot on a Tuesday evening so I was worried it would be a long wait or crowded. But the inside is way bigger than it looks and we were seated right away by a friendly host. There ars a variety of seating options: bar seating, booths, tables, high tops, and some folks were even standing near the bar area for what appeared to be a birthday party. My companion and I ordered the pickle wings, fish tacos, and the Nino pizza. The pickle wings were worth a try: a dry rub reminiscent of dill pickle chips. Yummy and well cooked. The fish tacos were surprisingly delicious. I was worried because they looked bland in presentation but were delicious. Fresh fish, fresh slaw, and thick Tortillas. The Nino pizza was also yummy and delightful spicy. A crust reminiscent more of the "Margherita" style which we enjoyed. The beer was... okay. We both had their in house brews. I had Orange Cream Ale and my companion had the Fun Juice IPA. They were both just okay. Seriously nothing wrong with them but nothing stand out either. Their cocktail list looked more impressive so I'll definitely try one next time. We will be back! (To try more pickle flavored things...)

Nick N.

Yelp
Beer is middling, for sure much better breweries around town. Food was mixed -- burger was really good, but fries were stale and mealy. Asian chicken salad greens and dressing were excellent, very unique ginger dressing, but chicken was overdone and dry. Atmosphere was good, very lively on Friday evening, service was fine.

Tracee T.

Yelp
Great place for food and drinks! Dogs welcome on the large patio. It overlooks the parking lot but if you want to enjoy the summer weather, there's plenty of seating. The place was super busy as expected for a Friday at 5 pm but service was superb! The parking lot was full but I parked in an A&W parking lot next door, as did others. Wonderful experience and can't wait to try their other menu items and drinks.

John K.

Yelp
My only regret was being too full...seems like I just wanted to eat everything the server was passing by with. This place has great food with great prices..I can't give it 5 stars because the service was very slow :( we had to do a lot of waiting around but I'm pretty sure it was an isolated event...I think.

The W.

Yelp
Ordered pasta, mahi mahi tacos and pizza. Only recommend the pizza. The rest seemed like premade stuff waiting in the back for anyone to arrive. Service was fine.

Bethany H.

Yelp
Food is delicious and portions are huge! Rueben Nachos were soooo good! Loved the Steak Tips too! Made them a meal by adding Sweet Potato Fries :)

Kris T.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night with live music, and it was the best experience. The craft beer was awesome, and the oysters went well with it. We enjoyed the environment and great customer service. Music was the best it was a singer who sounded like one of the jonas brothers. Everything was awesome! I would recommend this place.

Rachael M.

Yelp
I love local craft beer, so it was an easy choice to stop at Inver Grove Brewing when passing through. They have some super solid beers coming out of this brewery. The food is just fantastic! I highly recommend their bone in wings! We grabbed Buffalo which did not disappoint. These wings were sauced perfectly. They were juicy, tender, and had the crisp I need in a wing. The buffalo had a nice little peppery kick. I also grabbed the Walleye Torta with a side of sweet potato tots. Since they are a brewpub they also serve cocktails and I had to try one! I will definitely be returning many times in the future!

Lloyd W.

Yelp
What a disappointment... I read a Pioneer Press article regarding the Best Pork Tenderloin sandwiches in the area and set up a lunch with a couple of buddies to check out this place which was on the list. The restaurant is nice...lots of TV's, good seating and a nice decor overall. Our server was friendly and took good care of our little group by checking on us with a smile throughout the visit. She was the highlight of the meal. Two of us ordered the much anticipated tenderloin sandwich (see photo). Bottom line: A massive sandwich doesn't make it a good sandwich. That's especially true when the meat is served dry and tough. Any cook worth his/her pay has got to understand that cooking a thick piece of meat correctly probably means the thinner part of the slab is going to come out chewey and obviously overcooked. And, anyone who creates a menu and who (hopefully) tries to eat such a sandwich should know enough to change from a platter sized piece to something more sensible that will be edible...not just look HUGE! The lack of flavor wasn't enhanced a bit by the dab of mayo (which also lacked taste) that was slapped on the bun. In fact, I cannot recall the flavor profile of the mayo or side sauce at all and we weren't told anything about the sauce once the food arrived...after the 20+ minute wait. So, in this case it's easy to tell that bigger definitely "ain't better" when it comes to flavor. Inver Grove Brewing likely has some good items on the menu but the town's largest tenderloin sandwich just can't be one of them.

Lindsey H.

Yelp
Okay okay okay I get it now. This place is legit. Great beer, and even better food. I loved my torta and can't wait to try other things on the menu. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food as well. Can't wait to try the brunch menu! YUM!
