10/10 for cities to visit with children. Everyone we met was friendly. Each restaurant was understanding of toddler crabbiness. Ample small groceries to buy snacks. The macaroni standard on each menu was agreeable. The river was so charming. The city was big enough for variety and 4 days off seeing new things, but small enough to manage. I'd live there. Easily.

Inverness is a little known gem. Set in the Heart of the Highlands. You have an array of fine dining establishments and some great pubs. A lot of live music venues. You can also get to Loch Ness in 15 mins Shopping is ok could be better. But if in Scotland make a visit you won't be disappointed

Food hall in market great. Museum closed when got here so look in advance. Castle shut doing it up. And you have to pay to go in cathedral. £2 each. Cathedral OK but not a lot in there when you do. River walk worth it

Really really huge shout out to the train station and the staff! I lost my bag on a train that was heading to Inverness and thanks to the kindness of the staff I got it back within two days! They were so kind and I wish I can do more but I have no idea how expect to say a huge thank you on here for the lost property staff and especially Jamie! Saved my life!

A nice and tidy train station in Inverness, Scotland. It is in the city centre and in walking distance to all the major attractions, restaurants, and important infrastructure around the city centre.

Being a fairly small station, Inverness station is remarkably easy to find your way around. It is clean and well lit. It is located in the centre of Inverness, which makes getting to and from the station easy too. If you're staying in a hotel in the city, you will probably be able to walk to it from the station.
