On the Grid : Indian Road Cafe

"You can find me at the bar, but Indian Road Cafe is nothing if not fantastically versatile. It's almost hard not to feel intimidated by the delicious menu of farm-to-table cooking, a full-bar with handcrafted cocktails, a stellar selection of beer and wine, and super friendly staff. Not only that, but they have weekly bar trivia, live music, a monthly 'Lost in Inwood' series, and beer glasses that say: 'Hi - Neighbor' because they know how to melt hearts. I'm not the sort of person that makes reservations, and I love them for making me feel at home whether alone at the bar, sharing beautiful food with friends, or bringing a notebook and drinking coffee. They are a perfect embodiment of the Inwood vibe: understated, friendly, and tasty as you'll find anywhere else in New York City. I love Indian Road Cafe. You will, too. Everyone does." - Jeanne Henry

My friend and I went for Sunday brunch, and it was hands down the best decision we made that day. I had the French toast bites and the brisket mac & cheese both were absolutely delicious. My best friend ordered the steak and eggs along with the unlimited mimosas, which definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing, the customer service was on point, and the overall vibe was warm and welcoming. It’s a very family-friendly spot, and if you prefer something quicker, they also have a cozy little café section where you can grab something to go. Bonus: they bake their own cookies, and they looked so good I’m definitely picking one up next time!

Google
Wonderful cafe. The food is scrumptious. They have quite a bit of indoor seating and also outdoor seating weather permitting. It is right next to the park and across the way from the water so you can get the views. They also have a coffee counter for take out with delicious looking baked goods. We had the mushroom dish and the hamburger - both were excellent and did not leave us feeling uncomfortable or bloated. You can walk in the park after and enjoy the beautiful views . There is very limited street parking. It seems to have wheelchair accessibility. Lots of high chairs. There are things in the menu that kids would like and lots of meatless/ vegetarian options from the menu. Our server was competent but not friendly and did not offer suggestions or speak about the specials. Regardless, we will come back as the food was delicious. (In contrast, the girls at the coffee/ take out counter were a delight)

Google
Such a cute spot! The area feels like a beautiful escape from the city. My friend and I came here after a run around the nearby park. ✨ We had the intention of getting brunch, but brunch service didn’t start for another 30 minutes, so we grabbed pasties and teas instead. 🍵🥐 Service could have been a little friendlier, but I’m from the south so I know my expectations are high. I will definitely be back to experience brunch & the beautiful outdoor seating once it gets warmer.

Google
I go here every morning for coffee and the occasional pastry- staff are top notch! Have had dinner multiple times and recently a lovely outdoor brunch. It’s the cutest place in the area by far: excellent food, friendly, prompt service. I have never had a problem- 100% lovely experiences. Just double check the hours as weekday hours are slightly different. Definitely a must try! I usually get the Farm Burger and hand cut fries- burger is always made to my specifications- perfect and generous portion. I also love their Cobb salad. Ten stars!!! ⭐️

Google
Inwood Farm perfectly accommodated my graduation lunch. I secured a reservation by email and they were ready despite the rush. My family loved the cozy vibes and the hearty food. Most of us had the burgers and there were no regrets!

Google
I love to come here, and then take a walk in the park across the street. The bakery is divine, and the tomato soup is one of the best I've had. I enjoy brunch here, especially the biscuits and gravy!

Google
Great spot for brunch. Worth the wait. They don’t take reservations. We were a part of six. The steak and eggs, eggs bene, biscuits all highly recommended. My wife didn’t love the French toast brioche. Great coffee and delicious Bloody Mary!

Felix Mastropasqua

Google
What a great spot. I got the bruschetta and burrata toast and was blown away by the flavor. I consider it a little pricey for the area but comparable to what you’d pay downtown for a nice trendy spot like this. I went on a weekend at peak brunch rush and, because I was by myself, got to sit at the bar with no wait. Definitely make a reservation for any more than 2 people.

Yelp
I loveeee Inwood Farm! When I lived in Inwood I would walk to Inwood Farm for their matcha latte or freshly baked cookies on a weekly basis! The staff is super friendly and attentive. If I had any negative to say it's that the wait time is LONG even with a reservation. You must get their cornbread with strawberry butter. The Mac n cheese was delicious and it didn't feel too heavy. The cinnamon trio pancakes were not my vibe at all. It was like 3 pieces of honey buns, just dry with no syrup. The eggs Benedict were great but the bread was cold (bread should ALWAYS be toasted). My options are limited because I am a pescatarian but their other options always look great.

Yelp
Good vibes, Good music, Good service I get a lot of homework done here & the burger is bomb

Yelp
So good! The burger is to die for! This is one of my hidden gems in Manhattan. Ambience and vibe is so soothing as well.

Yelp
Decided to give this restaurant another try and it has become my new favorite place to visit for my cafecito's!!! It is such a neighborhood gem that honestly brings the community together! I love that it is pet friendly (in cafe area) and they have a cat resident, Archie. My favorite evenings to come for dinner is when they host Lost Inwood events. Reservations are strongly recommended and they are super organized with seatin

Yelp
We came to Inwood Farm after having it on our list of places to go for quite some time. When you walk in, you're immediately met with the smoothest of R&B music, creating such a relaxing and chill vibe. Inside there about 3 different levels of seating, including a bar area. We sat down immediately, and the service was good throughout the night. For drinks, we had the French 75 and Strawberry Margarita. Since it was gin and champagne based, the French 75 came in a champagne glass, so it wasn't your standard cocktail size. But at the end of the night, we both ordered another strawberry margarita. Luckily, we ordered appetizers because we had a feeling that the entree sizes wouldn't be too filling (and they ended up being on the small side). The brussel sprouts with sliced green apple and prosciutto were delicious, and the honey bourbon wings were some of the best I've had. My love had the Australian lamb cops and I had the Pan Seared Branzino. We both enjoyed our meals, as she had since tenderness to the lamb, and my fish had a nice crunch along the edges. The oyster mushrooms were cooked well. For dessert, we had the cookie and cream, which was a giant and warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla gelato. We couldn't get enough of it. We look forward to future visits and trying out the brunch.

Yelp
We haven't gone back to this spot since we had a bad experience, BEFORE they became Inwood Farm. I am not sure why they didn't create a new Yelp page when they changed over their name, management, everything... But hey, here it goes. This spot has changed its name once or twice, and now it is called Inwood Farm. The inside space is the same, with a nice large dining space with lots of natural light. They have a fully stocked bar as well. They have the "café" section in the front as well, with all sorts of baked goods, and ice cream too. We were there for a brunch, so we ordered cappuccino, Crab Cake Benedict, Stuffed Brioche French Toast, and side of Bacon. Stuffed Brioche French Toast was a nice size. It is made with Raspberry Filling and Mint, although I don't know where the mint was on ours, I didn't taste any minty flavor. Crab Cake Benedict is pricier for obvious reason, but I really wanted crab cake... It is made with Jumbo Lump Crab, moist and flavorful. The biscuit/English muffin (?) on the bottom was a bit too hard. We had a pleasant brunch here at the Inwood Farm, I say the new people are doing a good job! The food was tasty, the service was friendly. A nice relaxing brunch. I would like to go back again to try some other dishes in a near future.

Yelp
I came in to warm up, and the hostess seated me in the interior. I asked about the rose hot chocolate, and sensing it didn't appeal to me, the waitress suggested their regular hot chocolate. The room was filled with all types of folk and was big enough for 2 animals, a big dog and a cat in the window. Though it looks a little pretentious on the outside, it really is a friendly place to relax.

Yelp
Came for Brunch on Sunday for a friend's birthday. Had a cappuccino and the lavender lemonade. Everyone liked their food but the winners were definitely the brisket mac n cheese. As a vegetarian, there were a few options. I ordered the Country Fried Mushroom which was on the heavier side, because it's deep fried. It had good flavor but could have benefited from a little more seasoning- some peppers. It doesn't come with any home fries but that might be a nice side to order if you're really hungry. The Mac and cheese was really good on its own and if you're a vegetarian, that could also be an option. Their alternative milk options are almond, and soy. No coconut milk or cold brew fyi.

Yelp
Disappointed in the attitude today. We got there around 2:45pm for brunch. The kind hostess said it would be a 30-45 min wait but to come back in 15 mins because a 4-top was about to finish. I asked if we still had time for brunch she said yes which was great because that is what we wanted. The hostess sat us down around 3:40p and said we have last call for brunch. The sweet and kind hostess told the waitress (tall girl) and the waitress said no brunch is over. Ok. But why not ask the kitchen if they were willing to do "last call" or maybe offer brunch appetizers...we got nothing but just a flat NO. I'm a regular too. Even ordered a glass of Albariño while waiting. I am writing this review as feedback. Maybe instead of a NO before 3:45pm ask the kitchen what the options are or not but at least ask. The least you can do for excited customers waiting 40mins.

Yelp
I have been meaning to go to this restaurant for such a long time and i finally did! I was excited! Inwood Farm is located near a park and a body of water that you can take a stroll around after eating. I went on a date with my bf and when we entered I could see that the restaurant was also a cafe which was nice. The cafe side was very dog friendly which was cute. We arrived around 430pm and just missed brunch so we ordered the Brussel sprouts with bacon and Apple shredded on top and honey bourbon wings for appetizers. For the main course, we ordered the Bronzino over cauliflower purée and the Australian lamb over mashed potatoes with carrots. I would say the service could've been better. I wish the waitress was more attentive. We had to ask for our waters to be refilled and it didn't seem like they had bussers on staff to collect our finished plates once things got a little busy in the restaurant. The drinks were nice, but we had to order two they weren't as strong as we used to, but we enjoyed the prickly pear margarita (it was a tad bit salty). The appetizers were delicious! I really enjoyed the wings. I definitely recommend ordering the bourbon wings. The lamb chops were tasty I ordered them to be medium well done. I was surprised about the portion size but I'm glad that we got appetizers first so that we could feel full at the end of our meal, The Bronzino tasted better than it looked, I loved the vegetables that came with it because I am a fan of oyster mushrooms. I would probably would've plated the Bronzino in a different way. It really didn't look appetizing at first but it tasted really good. I loved the music and vibe of the restaurant it was cozy, warm. I loved the oldies music playing in the background. The grand finale for dessert was the chocolate chip walnut cookie with vanilla gelato ice cream. Oh my gosh this is the best cookie I ever had in my life! I usually don't like walnuts, but they were not the main flavor that you taste when you bite into this cookie. I loved that it was served warm, which I appreciated. It deliciously paired with the vanilla gelato. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I look forward to going back soon.

Yelp
The server Adina was rude, uninviting and possibly the worse restaurant staff I've ever encountered. Every request seemed to be a problem and her tone gave off agitation. I will never return there. I've been there before and it was pleasant enough to return. I was with my elderly mother so I just wanted to pay and head out. When my bill was incorrect. I went over to her, she just took it and updated it. We definitely were not demanding so the rude service seemed inappropriate and unwarranted.

Yelp
Decent brunch, but service was painfully slow (and can't say the place was particularly crowded). It was an inopportune time too--we stopped to refuel in the middle of The Great Saunter--a 32 mile walk around the Manhattan shoreline, and didn't have the near 2 hours it took us to finish a simple booze-less brunch. I Will say that the Crab Cake Benedict and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts sides were on point. On the other hand, I ordered the Steak and Eggs which were a bit disappointing--steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare, came out brown and tough) and eggs were as well (over medium vs requested over light). Our server, Joyce, seemed pleasant but was a bit hard to find at times and didn't seem to expedite anything--including bringing the check--even after we indicated we were in a bit of a rush.

Rosario M.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The service is good, the staff is attentive and professional making you feel welcome at all times. The food is delicious! The breakfast burrito is great, and this is coming from someone that doesn't like eggs.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere Very solid new American with a range of pastas Great value in this category

Yelp
This little hidden gem is the cutest. My boyfriend found it for his birthday. The menu is short but meaningful. I would definitely go back. The food as really good. My boyfriend and I both got the burger which was brisket and filet mignon blend. SO JUICY and delicious. They have lunch special deals and also do brunch. There's an on-site bakery that had baked goods and Gelato. We definitely indulged. I got a cinnamon roll and my boyfriend got cookies and cream gelato. Our server Adina was excellence. Impeccable service and attentiveness. The ambiance was really cute. It's located across the street from a park. After lunch my boyfriend and I went for a stroll in the park. It was very lovely, I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Inwood Farm has great coffee and food, but the service from the baristas in the cafe is terrible. I normally give an 18% tip, but I had no desire to tip the barista, black hair with shorts and a tattoo on her shin, after visiting two days this weekend. She had an attitude from when I ordered coffee to when I asked for water, saying brusquely "it's at the end of the counter." I go there, and there are no cups. I asked her politely for a cup and she gave a labored expression implying it was the biggest task in the world. To top it off, when I ordered a coffee with cream and sugar, she gave me a stale, cold coffee with cream and zero sugar. Couple this with the fact that she ignored my request to redeem my $6.00 in rewards points and I was pretty frustrated. Another downside is that the cafe side is always populated with swarming flies, which is dirty and detracts from the atmosphere. Having had the opportunity to visit Japan several times, I can say with certainty the barista's behavior and attitude would not be tolerated there.

Yelp
Not ideal for solo dining. Food was delicious, came here for cafe in the morning and back for the pasta at night. Came solo and an elder gentleman also came solo and asked not to be in a booth because of his back. In a 1/2 empty restaurant in a snowstorm, the staff gave him a hard time about taking up a table. My heart went out to him. Then I was glad I only ordered one course, because I was informed I couldn't read from my iPad. I would be allowed if I went over to the empty, closed cafe. I came here specifically to celebrate receiving a special piece of writing and read it over dinner on my iPad. The staff said it's just policy. I quietly sat and ate my pasta. Ironically, when the check came, the heading read, "Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."-MLK

Yelp
I've been coming to Inwood Farm for almost two years now for lunch, dinner, coffee, ice cream. Although I'm dropping my score to a 3/5, it's still going to be a place on heavy rotation. Here's the good stuff: 1. Location is amazing, looking out over the park, and some great sunset views. 2. Staff are fantastic. 3. Menu is straightforward neighborhood restaurant stuff (burger, roast chicken, steak etc). 4. Some nights they have live music (blues/jazz etc) which is always fun. 5. Good coffee (if you like a dark roast). Here's the reality check: 1. It's a bit grimy. It kind of needs a deep clean. I've had a plate come out that had residue from previous meal. Ice cream cabinet has broken glass in it. HVAC vents have grease/dust build ups. 2. Kitchen can be a bit inconsistent- I like meat cooked medium, but asking for medium can get you anything from medium rare to well done. 3. Price/quality is a bit off. I had a chef friend order the burger (which I think is fine) and they mentioned it was poorly seasoned and kind of disappointing for the price ($18). I still love this place, and could easily be a 4-star place with a little more attention to detail, but to be realistic I have this a solid 3 (still worth a visit, but with appropriate expectations).

Yelp
It's impossible to ignore Inwood Farm as you walk by the north side of Inwood Park. The windows are tall, drawing you into a large space, delicious looking food, and interesting cocktails/coffee drinks. In the evening, the lights are dimmed, creating a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a date night. The menu caters to both meat eaters and vegetarians, and the wait staff is plenty knowledgeable and willing to answer questions about it. I will definitely have another date night here.

Yelp
Phenomenal experience. First time in the area, decided to stop in to this spot for brunch. Mikey was amazing & very attentive. He made great recommendations and met all of our needs! Service was above and beyond. The atmosphere was calm, establishment is clean. Food was amazing! my partner and I ordered the bruschetta toast, chicken& waffles, Brussels sprouts, carbonara, pork eggs Benedict and lastly the chocolate lava cake for dessert! Food was soo good we kept ordering different things to try! Mimosas were really good aswell! Highly recommend this place! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
An update to the review 9 years later under a different name and NOW EXCELLENT service. I returned after many years for dinner with a couple friends as they had vegan, vegetarian, and meat options for dinner. And let's just say it was HUGE improvement from the time I had first gone. The staff were kind and attentive. The food was delicious. I wish I had snapped pictures but I was ready to dive in. And the night ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. I'm happy I returned and plan on returning again very soon.

Yelp
What an amazing neighborhood spot in Inwood! Came here with a friend early Saturday morning when only the coffee and pastry bar was open and everyone was so friendly and the pastries were delicious. Got a spinach and feta pastry which was so flaky and I am still thinking about it. I definitely want to come back here for brunch/dinner - the atmosphere looks great and seems like such a fun spot.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to circle back. Really see no reason to change my review. We each ordered scrambled eggs but it was like each was cooked by a different person. One were tough and overcooked and the other undercooked. Definitely not the silky, crazy perfect eggs we consistently got every single time a few years ago. The sausage gravy was watery and not the creamy goodness it once was. I dont know what happened here. Had i not ever been here before I probably would give 3 stars because it's not "bad" per se. Im just kinda shocked at how theyve changed. This used to be one of my favorite places.

Yelp
Cozy spot for a slow morning coffee. The view to the park is so relaxing. I went here with my husband for brunch and we enjoyed it so much. It was nice to sit at the deck and just watch the neighborhood people walk their dogs. We tried the Mac & Cheese and the Farm Burger and it was so good. They have draft beers and cider too. Great spot to start or end your day.

Yelp
Been to this spot several times when i need to have a bite or coffee while walking around Inwood hill park. Their food always taste good & looks good. Their coffee is lukewarm everytime& i like my coffee hot. Maybe i'll stick to cold coffee next time The view is always good, just a few steps from the river. muscota marsh/ columbia boat launch is just across the street and perfect spot to enjoy peace & quiet.

Gold M.

Yelp
Cobb salad- suppose to have kale/spinach/arugula. Our bad salad did not contain ingredients listed and 1/4 of the leaves were spoiled ( black and weathered). Upon notifying the waiter he said he is not the farmer so he would not know if the food is spoiled. No offer of a new salad or comping the meal. Terrible food and poor service.

Yelp
Dont be deceived by the looks. This was GROSS! Hard bacon fried sooo hard it is not edible. I mean it just broke off. The french toast was DISGUSTING!!! The raspberry jam too sweet inside. It just didnt taste nice. The chicken was reheated purdue chicken! So disappointing The owner was so nice. And our waitress even nicer. Dope customer service! But very poor food. Ps the decor of the place is beautiful!!!!! Absolutely beautiful for pics

Yelp
Was not expecting much when a friend and I came here for lunch but this place turned out to be a real hidden gem! All of the food was very fresh and you could tell they use quality ingredients. The coffee was good and strong as well. If you sit out on the patio there are some nice views of the park and waterfront to enjoy will you dine. Would come back for drinks and their lunch specials.

Yelp
Best thing is location; otherwise mediocre. Nice ambiance but food just not that good. Service OK. Really not worth a trip. Better places in Washington Heights and Riverdale.

Yelp
Very cute neighborhood restaurant. Perfect for a date or nice drink and ambience. Music just right, the ambience so cozy and loving. Outside seating very attractive, specially on a nice weather. Pretty diverse restaurant with a coffee shop, restaurant and bar all in once. After waiting for the Right timing to make it to this restaurant, so long between reading reviews and exploring its website to learn more about it, since I enthusiastically looking for nice local spots, I thought tonight was going to be the day. Unfortunately they seem to be short of staff, service was extremely slow. Me and my friend stop for a glass of wine and maybe a snack to enjoy it on the little outside patio set up, which seems lovely. We waited to be seated when there wasn't a line nor the restaurant were busy. Once I get the hosts/ server attention, we walked out to the table we picked. Around 10 mins passed for the waiter ( another lady) come around with glass of water and left immediately, trying to catch up with the order of another couple we were dining in, and they complained about being waiting so long for their order to arrived, and incomplete. We kept waiting for over a few minutes more, at this point ( 15 -20 ) mins, no one has come up to take the order of the drinks at least. We choose to leave. We just wanted a glass of wine and we couldn't get past a glass of water. I'll give it my benefit of the doubt, and come back once more, hoping for the best.

Yelp
Ordered a group lunch from Inwood Farm for a work event. We were told to order via GrubHub, so we ordered a full day before the event and scheduled lunch for 12:30. The lunch did not arrive until around 1:40 pm, and people were ravenous by then. I understand that the restaurant technically opens at noon, but we did give them a day's notice and ordered ahead of time. If they couldn't fulfill the time, they had plenty of opportunity to let us know, and we would have been happy to work with them. I'm wondering why they didn't plan accordingly for a large group order when they had notice. We got a variety of food including wraps, salads, and sandwiches. The food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy. However, they also didn't include any utensils/napkins etc, which also caused disruptions and further delays for us (after having waited for a while already...) in order to procure these supplies. Good food, but not the most reliable for group orders.

Yelp
So it's Father's Day I came across this place about 2 weeks ago so me and my lady decided to come today. After ordering our food the food it took a while to come out. She ordered steak, eggs and potatoes. I ordered the chicken and waffle. Everything was good but the waffle it was just bad looking and moist in the middle. So I sent it back. When it came back it was even more moist and distasteful. So I sent it back again. This time I asked to replace it with blueberry pancakes when it came out the chicken was gone so all I had was pancakes to eat I ate a few bites and left that shit on the table because I was so upset.

Yelp
This is a small, cozy restaurant at the very top of Manhattan, next to the tidal marsh Inwood Hill park. It is more or less on the Bronx River. I was there for lunch with my wife. There is a small bar, a pastry counter with coffee, and a sit down restaurant. It has a smart and appealing menu. I had the fish tacos which was on the light side. My wife had the Cubano Sandwich, which had very good quality pork, and vibrant flavors that complemented each other.

Yelp
Super cute local spot. Nice and relaxing ambiance and a good place for remote workers. Food is delish and coffee I good. Great service. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Elevated coffee shop/cafe/restaurant all in one with solid food and drinks. We shared the farm burger, mac and cheese, and fried artichoke hearts. I had the margarita which was well made. Didn't expect to order such a heavy meal but we were starving and everything ended up being really delicious. The menu had a variety of good options. The outdoor seating was really cute and spacious. Such a surprisingly relaxing, quiet, and cozy vibe - slightly away from the rush. Although we didn't actually have to go inside, it looked equally cute from just popping our head in. The service was kind and attentive. Would recommend and come back next time I found myself in the area.

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor dining area, on a pretty quiet street of NYC. We had dinner on the patio & the weather was perfect. We shared a watermelon salad with feta cheese & red onions for our appetizer, it was refreshing & delicious too! We also shared the Cobb salad and the fancy macaroni & cheese. We really enjoyed everything! Our servers were great, fast & friendly ; ) of course we had to get a dessert, Chocolate & Banana Gelato was a really good choice

So disappointed the last 3 times I have ordered delivery. Very inconsistent food and portions. The Caesar salad was so overdressed and soggy it was inedible - sometimes you get anchovies, sometimes you don't and the to-go container is so small that it is really only an $8 - $10 side salad size not the $17 they charge for it. The cheeseburger had way too much sauce on the bun making it super soggy and there was barely any cheese and there is no longer an option to add bacon. The brussels sprouts had way too much balsamic and the portion size is very inconsistent - last week I got maybe 6 brussels sprouts and this is for $15. And everything is spilled all over the bag because they need to use the flat bottom paper bags not the plain plastic bags they have been using lately. This used to be the best in the neighborhood and I really hope they fix these things.

Yelp
Amazingly good food. Indian Road Cafe is another hidden gem. This is about as close to getting out of Manhattan as you can while still being in it. Casual atmosphere. There's lots of good choices for vegans and vegetarians. Because of the relatively remote location, for me it's not convenient. It's certainly somewhere I would go to more often. This at least is located close off a subway. Contrary to the name, this does not serve Indian cuisine. It's just named that because of the road it's on. As for that road, it's best you take a subway because there's not much parking around here. The food is top notch for casual stuff. At breakfast I like to have the Vegan Breakfast Burrito. It's about $11 for a tortilla stuffed with tofu scramble, with a side of pico de gallo. The price may be kind of high but of course it is with the cool rich people around here. I would come here more often if it was convenient. It's also too pricey to go to often. The quality is excellent and it seems most people around here like it so it's not going anywhere it seems.

Yelp
When I initially heard about this place, I thought that it was a restaurant serving Indian cuisine until my friends let me know otherwise. My friends and I came here after visiting nearby Wave Hill Public Gardens. There was a decent amount of outdoor dining, as well as adherence to social distancing regulations. On the table, there were QR codes to view the menu and signage indicating that tables are self-service and to order inside. In addition, we were treated to live jazz music on the Saturday evening that we went, which added to the festive and light-hearted atmosphere. I decided to order an iced mocha coffee drink and the brisket sandwich, which came with french fries. The food comes in plastic container within a brown bag. I enjoyed the iced mocha, which was delightfully creamy with strong mocha taste and just the right amount of sweetness. The sandwich was pretty good. It came with a nice portion of brisket, accompanied by sweet BBQ glaze, which was quite tasty. In addition, the sandwich came with cucumber and chipotle aioli. The brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. There were a ton of fries, which were extremely crispy and delicious with tons of potato mouthwatering goodness. Later, I had the chocolate chip cookie, which they were almost out of... I think I got the last whole piece. This cookie was wonderfully warm, gooey, crumbly, incredibly moist, and rich with plenty of chocolate. The servers inside were lovely, as well as kind. Also, the other patrons were extremely friendly, funny, and there was a true sense of community... The kind that is difficult to find nowadays. All in all, an evening full of tasty food, compelling conversation, and much laughter with old friends and new friends alike.

Yelp
My favorite spot in the neighborhood! Their lunch specials are very affordable ($20ish for a meal and beer, wine, or margarita), and their menu in general is not too expensive. Inwood is a special neighborhood, and this place really embodies that spirit! Try the burger, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Do not waste your time and money here. There are way better places to go for brunch in this area. I ordered food to go, the area was dirty, trash on the floor, the tables were not wiped down so there were flies everywhere. I waited at the counter to order for a while because despite there being 3 girls back there. One was eating, and paid none of the customers any attention. I ordered eggs benedict which managed to take over 30 minutes. My water had black specs in it. When my food finally came, I had to go to the counter for silverware and a napkin. All in all a horrible experience. The food tasted old, like it had been sitting around for a while. Dont go here.

Yelp
Beware! I've eaten here in the past - food and service is palatable, adequate. However, I was walking past one evening and caught movement out of the corner of my eye and stopped to look in - RATS. Plural. Running across countertops, the floor, snacking on crumbs - just making themselves at home! After staring transfixed by this scenario for a couple of minutes, I managed to take a pic but a rat outside the place ran me off before I could properly document the multitude! In a Pixar movie maybe this could be cute but in real life, disgusting and filthy. Yea, this is NYC and rats are everywhere but still. This restaurant inside and out is just teeming with the critters. Inwood RAT Farm is more like it - time to clean up your act!

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks! I ordered the lamb chops from their Valentine's Day menu, and the meat was so tender! Their martini made with whiskey was also worth trying. This is my first time dining in, and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
We came here for brunch. The breakfast options were a bit limiting. We had lunch items instead which included delicious Brussels sprouts as an app. I had a flavored iced tea. My entree was the shrimp wrap which was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the greens and chipotle mayo with it. The rest of my family had burgers, fries and chicken fingers which was made with a great blend of beef. I would definitely recommend this spot for a wholesome fresh ingredient lunch. My nephew wished their ice cream was available. Ambience is cute inside, great location by the college stadium.

Yelp
Every restaurant gives you something different. You can't expect the same from every eatery and tucked on the corner in a quiet block in the Bronx with hit or miss parking you will find in Wood Farm. Driving up to the restaurant you will notice the seating outside where you can eat and enjoy the weather. (Also there is a small park across the street where you can sit by the water) Walking into the restaurant the vibe is very relaxed and casual as it seems like most of their customers are college students and people that live nearby in the area. The menu is too extravagant, but for most people they should be able to find one or two things to their liking. For the food I had crab cakes and macaroni, which was pretty good and above average. The crabcake was seasoned well, although a bit over cooked. The macaroni and cheese was good in my opinion it had a decent flavor. Service wasn't bad but another waitress was needed to properly attend to all guest. If you're in the area of the North Bronx and need a spot for a quick bite this is a solid recommendation.

Yelp
First time at this new iteration in the same space! Food's great (farm burger and lobster mac and cheese) and the service, welcoming and friendly. We were there around 5pm-ish after the Christmas holiday so it was quiet.
