When I initially heard about this place, I thought that it was a restaurant serving Indian cuisine until my friends let me know otherwise.
My friends and I came here after visiting nearby Wave Hill Public Gardens. There was a decent amount of outdoor dining, as well as adherence to social distancing regulations. On the table, there were QR codes to view the menu and signage indicating that tables are self-service and to order inside. In addition, we were treated to live jazz music on the Saturday evening that we went, which added to the festive and light-hearted atmosphere.
I decided to order an iced mocha coffee drink and the brisket sandwich, which came with french fries. The food comes in plastic container within a brown bag.
I enjoyed the iced mocha, which was delightfully creamy with strong mocha taste and just the right amount of sweetness.
The sandwich was pretty good. It came with a nice portion of brisket, accompanied by sweet BBQ glaze, which was quite tasty. In addition, the sandwich came with cucumber and chipotle aioli. The brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. There were a ton of fries, which were extremely crispy and delicious with tons of potato mouthwatering goodness.
Later, I had the chocolate chip cookie, which they were almost out of... I think I got the last whole piece. This cookie was wonderfully warm, gooey, crumbly, incredibly moist, and rich with plenty of chocolate.
The servers inside were lovely, as well as kind. Also, the other patrons were extremely friendly, funny, and there was a true sense of community... The kind that is difficult to find nowadays. All in all, an evening full of tasty food, compelling conversation, and much laughter with old friends and new friends alike.
