Ippudo Daimyo branch

I had Ippudo Ramen several times in different countries, so I had to pay tribute and visit the branch where it all started. The rich tonkotsu broth has the right balance, not too overly greasy and heavy. I prefer my noodles on the hard side and the staff can cater for that. Also I really like their spicy moyashi (Bean sprout) side condiment, such a good pair to go with the Ramen. Lastly even though I don't speak Japanese , the staff are friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the meal experience there.

Stepping into the birthplace of Ippudo in Daimyo, where it all began back in 1985, felt pretty special. The ramen here is as authentic as it gets… rich tonkotsu broth, perfectly springy noodles, and that nostalgic vibe that makes you appreciate why Ippudo became such a global icon. A must-visit for ramen lovers in Fukuoka!

Very first Ippudo shop. Interesting experience. Prices are much cheaper than in Singapore. No regrets taking a cab here. There is also the special ramen that’s only available in this shop, which I find tasty as I like that kind of ramen. They also sell the ramen packs that you can cook at home.

The mother ship of the international Ippudo chain. Well worth tracking down, the ramen is outstanding.

As always, Ippudo never disappoints with the quality of their ramen. Simply delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient.

There is a lot of excitement just by queuing outside this Ippudo main store in Damiyo Fukuoka. What is special here is their Hakata Shoyu Ramen which is unique to this main store. I expected the Ramen here to be no different from the ones I have been eating back at home in the past. But it is not. The ramen feels lighter and more springy, and the broth is rich and yet feels light on the palette. It is quite an experience to enjoy the ramen here amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the shop.

★★★★★ Best ever. The honten ramen and broth is so many levels above the other ippudo branches even in Hakata (let alone overseas). Travelled from Osaka and back in a day just got the ramen here. The broth is full of depth and flavour without being too "heavy". Just love the ramen here.

Visited on a weekday evening with the shop half full. Not sure why I was not assigned a table immediately (had to wait 5+ min outside in the cold). The Staff were unmotivated and moving slowly. The store exclusive shoyu ramen was light and easy to eat even for tonkotsu lovers. Would only recommend this shop as part of your ramen pilgrimage in Fukuoka (only visit once!)

Ippudo 一風堂 in Fukuoka VS Ippudo NYC With no line up at all at Ippudo and a half empty restaurant, the experience for sure is much better than at NYC. I love the cozy and energetic vibe of this smallish noodle place. Conveniently located in Tenjin District is great to drop by for some noodles any time of the day. Menu is quite simple and with a lot of photos made it easy to order. We orderd 白丸元味 Original (700 Yen) and 刺激の一杯 (800 Yen) both with a 一風堂流玉子 (80 Yen) on the side. I just could not resist the perfectly cook runny eggs in Japan. Broth was creamy and savory. Thin noodle cooked with a perfect bite. And all those sides I could help myself to top off my noodle. Ultra Friendly service even with my ultra limited Japanese language skill. Highly recommended for a casual Ramen experience.

Coming to Fukuoka must come to Ippodo ramen at least once. Add ramen only cost Y100 more.

Ippudo is a famous Tonkotu ramen in Japan, and has recently advanced to the world. Originally born in Fukuoka, Iuppudo suppressed the distinctive smell of Tonkotsu ramen, and the stylish interior was impressive, and succeeded in differentiating it from conventional Tonkotsu ramen. The characteristic of Ippudo is that it is unconventional, that is, whether it is a food or an interior decoration, it continues the challenge without being caught in common sense. For example, ramen mixed with sauce, chilled Chinese noodles like shaved ice, and sweet confectionary ramen in collaboration with Audi ... Ippudo's challenge continues today in Fukuoka. There are many stores in Fukuoka, but the main store in Daimyo, or Ippudo TAO is recommended.

Best Ramen I've ever had. The soup was nice and thick, just the way I like it. Must try the pickles they have available on every table. It adds to the flavor. Service was good, fast and energetic. If you are in Fukuoka, must try this place!

In the heart of the stylish Tenjin district lies Ippudo West. With ample seating and fast service it was relatively easy to grab a seat on a Wednesday night around 8. The menu is simple and straight forward, the Hakata style ramen is delicious! It's the perfect stop after an afternoon of strolling all the cool boutiques in the area.

This was the best ramen I've ever had. I got the classic and some potstickers and my friends got the classic with egg and more potstickers. It was all amazing. The ramen broth was outstanding in particular. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual night out and it being open late was great for us because we'd just gotten off a long flight and needed food at 11:30 pm. The staff spoke English well which was an added bonus. We loved it so much we decided to go back again for dinner the next night.

The birth town of this restaurant is Fukuoka! Absolutely love their ramen and that's telling for someone who is not a big fan of ramen/noodles in general. Have had their ramen in Tokyo and Yokohama and they do not disappoint. A must try.
