How to Make Takeout and Delivery Meals Feel Special | Eater

"A Toronto counter-service chain whose boxed meals can suffer in perceived value, but whose executive chef delights in meticulous home plating as a remedy: varying color and texture, arranging elements to lead the eye (triangles work well), and even playful touches like tweezer-placed snacks or a sprinkle of Cheeto dust to make food feel intentional and more enjoyable." - Caleb Pershan

The Almond Brother smoothie was room temperature, lol. The food is good, but I always have to wait for the staff to come to the POS side. And now they don’t offer any dine-in plates or proper cutlery. they just give you takeout containers and plastic utensils. The Yorkdale location was so much better.

Date of Visit: June 21, 2025 Location: PwC tower, 18 York st. I’m writing this review with genuine disappointment. I was a regular at the former iQ location in the TD Tower PATH and always looked forward to their Lima chicken bowl — it was fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. So, when I spotted the iQ sign at this location, I was excited to give it another try after a long time. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. When I walked in, the restaurant was empty — just one staff member at the counter and another in the kitchen, who seemed more interested in scrolling through his phone than attending to orders. After placing and paying for my order, I patiently waited, only to notice that the kitchen staff hadn’t even started preparing my bowl. He kept on scrolling his phone and I had to prompt him before he began working on it. He seemed very disinterested in doing his work. To make matters worse, when I opened my takeout bowl after coming home, I realized the chicken — the main component — was missing entirely. This was not only disappointing but also careless, likely a result of the staff's inattentiveness. To top it off, the quality of the food has noticeably declined. This is a far cry from the vibrant, high-quality meals and prompt, professional service that once defined iQ. Sadly, after this experience, I won’t be returning. You’ve lost a once-loyal customer.

Even if you sit and eat in, there is no option for reusable mugs, plates or bowls. Even the cutlery is plastic. Way to go for being sustainable. Food and coffee were okay

Salmon bowl was really good - ingredients felt fresh and well cooked for the most part other than the salmon being slightly dry. Sauce was tasty. Portions were good. I got a hot matcha latte which was only lukewarm though and it was just okay. I would come back for a bowl but not a drink probably.

HEALTH INSPECTION ADVISORY I made an order for 20 meals for a group at work, as we all usually love this place! We ended up not eating anything because there was a CRICKET in one of the salads. Not one to ever complain but this is absolutely disgusting and none of the orders were eaten because of it. With many feeling sick afterwards as well. Please see the cricket in the photo for proof, but this restaurant desperately needs an inspection if this is happening. Have not been helped by UberEats or the establishment for a refund. Will not go back to this restaurant, until this is resolved!

Nice little spot for healthy food. Salads, bowls and toasts. Freshly made, full of flavours and colors. Their matcha latte is really tasty. Service is courteous and fast. Not a lot of seating space.

Had a Maple Squash bowl from them and it was delicious! Loved the ingredients and proportions. Would go back. Their chocolate chip cookies are top tier too. Only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricey side with bowls starting at about $17 each.

Very chic and modern. This small cafe focuses on a small health conscious menu. The clean and industrious looks make the cafe look impressive. The menu has many gluten free and vegetarian options which means it’s a good place for some people with allergies or restrictions. The smoothies and baked snacks are very nice! Coffee is good too!! The food is a little on the expensive side as you’d come to imagine which is why I gave it a 4/5
