Someone recommended this place to us. We were a little disappointed. We started with the wings, and they were decent. I had the special of the day, chicken Alfredo. Unfortunately, it was too salty for my taste. My husband's fries were good, but that was it.

I really enjoyed this place. I love they have outside seating, and that rapped around the bar inside that extends outside, but that's 1 bar. The second bar is an Irish theme, and the 3rd door is a larger bar . They have pool tables,different games for kids and adults like a mini Dave and busters. The food was good and the service was amazing. This is a place for family and adults, but I'm not sure if they cut kids from coming in past a certain time like some restaurants do. They had a live band. The place was clean and well organized. The atmosphere was so enjoyable and fun. I will definitely go back. It's so much to take in, but you definitely will have a great experience. Oh, and all the customers looked like they were having a good time, so no one was disrespectful, but everyone was enjoying the good, including me.

This is a really cool spot whether you like watching football, playing billiards, playing arcade games, or running a golf simulator. The staff is really friendly. The food I had was really good, German food. The Irish/German combination works for me. They have a great Spirits selection and they even sell Five Flowers and Mary Jones Hemp-Infused Beverages for folks who don't want alcohol.

I've deleted a bad review I left in the past. Everyone has an off day. I was quite pleased with my order last night. They have a good burger, and the chili was better than usual. For a burger and chili I would love them to have a cookoff with Southside 17. I would give my meal a 4.7 out of 5. Nicely done.

The service was slow. Our server was running around with her head cut off. Food took forever to come out. My coke was very flat, so I ordered sweet tea. Came with family and friends. There were 13 of us, they divided our food order into 3 sections. By the time we got our food the rest of the family had already finished and was getting the check. So we sat and watched them eat. My teenager was not happy with that, he was really hungry. As we sat there a new family showed up and sat down, got their food immediately. Which is upsetting even more. It was a very active and overwhelming feeling to the environment. A lot going on at once. Parents with their children running around and screaming. Barely hear the person next to you for conversation. The menu is hard to see, dim lighting and different fonts on the menu. Now the food and potato soup was really good. The wedge salad was on point. That blue cheese was so good. The chicken buffalo chip was delicious. The chips were soft and crunchy. So, I would go back and sit in another section.

Food was great, I had prime rib sandwich and friend had fish and chips. Bread was fresh, topping fresh and COLD, meat was HOT sandwich was perfect! Fish and chips I was told was great. Onion straws were tasty but might consider switching to onion rings... They were more of a topping than a side... Didn't quite do it for me, nothing to really grab a hold of and hardly edible with a fork... Was like shaking the remnants of the bag of broken potato chips and that's it... Anyway, service was great, drinks filled steady and napkins o plenty. Tables clean so too were the restrooms. Desserts... For the price could have been a little more stylish or homemade? I had the red velvet brownie with crock of vanilla ice cream. Was nice but "plain"... Cheesecake I didn't have but seemed simple and I didn't hear and oohs and ahhs from my guest. Experience was good but was rather pricey for not having any alcohol...

THE BEST BAR! Try it out!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This place has so many TV’s, such fun games, cold beer and full bar and lots of space for watching sports and hanging out with friends! Amazing! Tldr: Excellent service (our waitress Kat was amazing on 9 Aug 2025) , and enough distractions to keep the kids/bored adults busy while others talk. We accidentally ambushed them with a party of 25 on a Saturday evening. We had had 9 kids under the age of 11, and almost anywhere else this would have been a non-starter. Irelands own found a quiet corner (on a Saturday night). And got drinks and water for our entire party (even tracking me down when i was herding our toddler through the arcade.) We go here regularly, and appreciate the mix of sports, food, arcade games, and family friendly atmosphere.

Speaking only for the Jaegerhaus restaurant inside: The interior looked pretty cool, but the schnitzel was just okay. Nothing I'd go back for. Their beer list is also very middling. Not very diverse in flavor or type, all mostly on the bitter side. Staff was nice though. Personally, I'd stick to the game room side of the establishment if you're not looking for food.

I love this place for watching sports and the vibe but not so much for the food. It is definitely a frozen food that has been fried vibe. They have two separate areas, one German and one Irish so two different menus. Very authentic to each of those cultures. Tons of TVs around and they always play the games with the sound on. They even have golf simulators and arcade area for the kids.

Great place to watch a football game! Service was great. Vegetarian food options were lacking. My husband enjoyed the corned beef. I'm the vegetarian & wasn't excited about options. I had a dude salad & dude of Mac n chez. Mac n chez was very good.

This was a great find! The food was delicious! They serve dishes from Ireland and Germany, and I tried both! I had Shepherd Pie bites as an appetizer and then I had chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. I loved all of it. The service was fantastic too. The restaurant decor is more of an Irish pub and I loved it!

I will be honest. I have heard of this place existing for quite some time, but just visited for the first time. Upon arrival, the front bar was closed and there was no one at the host stand, but there was a sign stating the need to wait to be seated. After several minutes, someone came up and asked if we wanted a booth or a table, to which we said booth. Little did we know, we were taken into an entirely separate part of the establishment, with a large bar, lots of twinkle lights, booths, and tables with highbacked cloth chairs. The rest of the place is definitely a sports bar. The staff was promptly at our table to take our order. I got the Irish nachos with chicken. We also ordered the shepherd's pie bites for the table. To me, the bites definitely lacked flavor and were kinda boring. I actually enjoyed my Irish nachos - they were basic with house chips, chicken, ranch drizzle, a lot of jalapenos, and queso on the side for dipping. Overall, pretty tasty. After we finished eating, we went to explore the rest of the space and saw a large arcade area and a separate space for other games, pool, and cornhole. We were surprised at the large space and the different options. I'd probably go back to check out some other options, but I'm not in a rush.

Ok, a great sports bar! Girl behind bar was cordial, funny, and accommodating. Corn beef was small chunks vs sliced. Red potatoes were ok but too large. The 2 hotdogs tasted good. Good beer selection. Pool 20 screens, major bar area . Frank G

Easily the best sports bar in Charleston, plenty of room, reasonable prices, great food. And the best part is they always have game audio on during college football. I hate watching football at at "sports bar" that has music on in the background, just doesn't feel right to me.

Cool place to watch football. Several TVs around tje inside. A few large projectors. The service was quick and helpful with answering questions. I ordered wings, and they were good. I've heard they have good meal deals throughout the week, so u wouldn't mind trying them outside of football Sunday.

Really fun games. Lots of pool tables, tv, etc etc. and everything was nice and clean and easy to use. My gf and I had a great time and will be back for sure. Highly recommend!

Place was cool! Went to watch the head game and it was super loud. But the karaoke was so fun! Everyone performing was so good haha! However...the wings took almost an HOUR to come out. Kind of a bummer cuz we had to eat them after the game ended... Overall seems like a fun place to go w a big group!

Solid sports pub with an Irish/English pub fare focus! They also have a HUGE arcade area for the young and young at heart. Parking is super easy and there are a ton of seating options. We sat at one of the bars. Service wasn't the fastest but the server was friendly and good. On the whole, the food was good but nothing out of this world. They do have great ranch. The fried items were nicely fried and the gravy is delicious. Lots of great draft beer options. It was a Saturday evening when we visited, all the football games were on but it was pretty chill/quiet in the restaurant. We'll be back!

The chilli cheese dogs are SOOO good!!!! You have to try them. We always add onions and jalapeños. One of our favorite things to eat. The Mac and cheese is a perfect side, or the crinkle fries! Even the red potato's... or cabbage!

Large place - indoor and semi-outdoor seating. Various rooms with different themes. Irish. German. Game room. Adult game room. Good simulator. Traditional bar food items with cultural flare.

The food here is what it is in that you're looking at overly fried pub food. I will say it is a good place to watch a game on the Irish side with all those TVs and the beer selection is pretty good as well. Service was average at best meaning we got what we ordered but there wasn't much personality added to the experience. What do you want? Here it is; kind of thing. They do have a lot of space and there are games if you're into that but overall this place is average at best.

Ok, so I've been to Ireland's own probably 15 times. If you're looking for a place to watch the game, shoot some pool or play arcade games, it's a great spot. However... this is a restaurant and I'm sorry to say but the food is terrible. We ordered mozzarella sticks which came out cold and like little smushed patties, the Irish nachos which were also cold and basically just potato chips with sour cream all over them. We also ordered the kids cheese burger and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers looked ok but the cheese burger looked absolutely terrible. Even the 7 year old commented on how gross it looked. She took a couple bites and wouldn't eat it, which with kids that's sometimes no fault of the restaurant but her dad tried it and he wouldn't even eat it. Long story short, only come here if you're not hungry. Great place to hangout and they often have live music but probably some of the worst food I've had in awhile.

What a fun place! Lots to do. Multiple sections to check out. Gaming section, sports bar section, restaurant etc. We went to celebrate a.birthday and to watch a particular soccer game and they had it on multiple screens making it easy to watch. We ordered a bunch of different items and all were very good. German food and Irish food. They have a good selection of both German and Irish as well as local beers to choose from. We were a party of 6 and service was great. We will definately hit this place again!

I'm giving a star because of the space and the games. Basically the whole layout. Great energy with all the locals. I did not know this place was that big. They've been on my yelp list for about a year. I don't venture out to West Ashley as much these days. Sometimes it's unrecognizable. This place is in the shopping center that used to be Cherokee arms apartments. I would tell you stories from that apartment but I'm not sure the statue of limitations is gone yet. So I will hold that thought for now. Let's just say I learned big lessons on manhood back here. I can tell from the pictures on yelp that they have some original dishes. And they didn't really let me down. As soon as I walked in the energy was so high I didn't even go to my table. I just walked through the whole spot, soaking it all in. I got all the way to the back of the game room where some little kid was walking around with fistfuls of dollars. I was like what the hell. He pulled a couple bucks out and put it in the machine told me to punch the punching bag to see what level of power I had. How could I resist? I took two steps back and launched like Mike Tyson. He was impressed. We're friends now. Lol. Love the menu. I had seafood platter which is not really a platter. They lost some cool points for that one it's only a few pieces of shrimp with a piece of cod. That is so not a platter not even in ireland. Lol. But it was fresh Seafood shrimp was a little overcooked. Couldn't go with the Schnitzel I may try it one day but I just feel it's fried chicken breast. Just with another name. The shepherd's pie was decent. I really enjoyed their wings they have TVs everywhere. Their TVs are so clear they make you feel like you're on the field also. I will definitely be back to watch my Cowboys get their ass whipped. Our waitresses seem to be a mother and daughter tandem they were very nice I guess this is family owned. The gameroom was pretty packed full of energy we will definitely be back. I enjoy myself like the pictures told me I would. Yelp never lets me down.

We stopped at Ireland's Own for dinner Sunday afternoon. We sat at the bar to watch the NFL games. Immediately after sitting, the bartender greeted us with a smile. Her name is Kierstin, and she was fantastic. As busy as she was, she still was able to attend to all of her customers! She always smiled and made eye contact with us. As far a the restaurant itself, it's a great place to watch sports! Lots of TV's and plenty of bar seating. The food was absolutely outstanding! I had the prime rib and my wife had the fish and chips. My prime rib was done exactly as I wanted, medium rare! Although I personally don't like seafood, my wife said the fish was excellent. They even let her substitute mashed potatoes with gravy instead of chips, and they didn't charge extra. I totally recommend this restaurant, and our wonderful bartender Kierstin.

Brandon, our waiter, 5 stars for sure! He was very attentive and very good at his job. Especially because the place was pretty busy..... my three stars is based off of the food and place in general. Located in a strip mall and out of the view from anything, unfortunately Ireland's Own was just cursed from the beginning because of this terrible location. The food here is not really good either. The menu represents Irish food as well as American bar food, but neither options really fulfill the palate. They serve a Reuben and they serve shepherds pie, which are both pretty Irish dishes. Both not anything to write home about. The chicken tenders, typical bar food, also not very good and they were over cooked. They do have golf simulators which is pretty cool!

My friend wanted to take me to lunch on Monday. I had never even heard of this place. I'm so glad she suggested it! The place is HUGE and has a game room for kids! How amazing is that! My grandson will love it. The food was okay, not the best I've had, not the worst. The Fish and Chips is straight up Beer Battered Cod and I wasn't a huge fan. But the service more than made up for it. They didn't have Fried Pickles on the menu at all but the waitress said let me ask the Chef.. he whipped up some in a matter of minutes! Unbeatable service. The Pickles were satisfactory but could have used a little more crunch. But for something not usually on the menu they were so good to have. Because my friend and I were gabbing so much I didn't get photos. I also don't know the cost of the meal because she paid. I got the fish and chips which I believe were 15 dollars. She got chicken strips. Plus the Fried Pickles and sodas. I am not finished with this place. The atmosphere and service alone will have me going back to try as many things on the menu as possible. I can't judge the place by my one experience with Cod. I'm not a huge fan of beer batter in the first place so I perhaps should have ordered something else. Next time I will.

From the world of don't judge a book by its cover. What they do in the kitchen you would never expect driving past it. Looks plain. Looks huge. I mean, it looks like it might be a sporting goods store. But their product has earned them a spot in the rotation of UE orders, which not many places get. First try, got the Reuben, because if you're Irish themed (particularly in America) and can't get corned beef right you may as well shut down. Crushed it. One of the better ones I've had. Second try, I wanted to really see what they were made of so I got a cheese steak. From an Irish place, this ain't gonna be any good, right? Whether they did a really good job of making it seem that way or it actually was, tasted like the highest quality beef I've ever had on a cheese steak.And you'll likely have a snack left, that thing is loaded up. So yeah. Get at it. Support em.

Ambiance during lunch was a 2 or 3 and the service was not much better but when we got the food we forgot all the bad and focused on the large plate of delicious food. I got the Pork Schnitzel and mashed potatoes and was super happy. My wife got the Fish and Chips and also fantastic and plentiful with some great fries. They need to organize their lunch service better. Where to sit, where the waiter is, being met. This could have easily been a 2 or 3 review were it not for the owner or manager who finally saw us and yelled for a waiter for us. It was fish and chips day btw and don't think they knew that but that is why we were there and were not disappointed.

Was finishing up some errands nearby one night and realized it was getting late for dinner and our options were getting slim. We came to Ireland's own because they serve pretty late. There was karaoke going on on what seemed to be the party side (where all the games were) and I didn't need a poor rendition of living on a prayer while I ate so we sat on the irish pub side. Overall the place is huge and while you can still hear what's going on over on the other side, you can still dine here without feeling like you're at a nightclub. We started with the shepards pie bites and I have to say they are one of my new favorite apps. Definitely get these! Basically everything you love about shepards pie deep fried and served with a side of gravy. I would love to come back for more of the Irish fare and German fare... hello schnitzel and brats, but we were both craving a burger and went that route. It wasn't a burger I would seek out but it did the job. The service got really slow at the end which is a pet peeve of mine , but I would come back to check out the bar and more of the food.

Great place to have drinks/food, play games and at times, listen to live music! They have a golf simulator, skee ball, basketball game and so much more! The atmosphere is fun and the bar is good, but I have not loved the food. A lot of it is typical, heavy bar food, but I think it's a good fit for the place.

We had a large family party for lunch on a Friday and decided on Ireland's Own from someone's recommendation for a great place to eat. We were happy to be seated right away (party of ten) and have the game room where we were seated for four kids to run around and play. The food was amazing, the service was quick and friendly, and a shout-out to the manager here. He was quick to come out and fix a broken game and after spending what I feel like was an insane amount of money on the claw machine for a Yoshi for my five year old he traded his Luigi he had already won for one. Thank you! Overall, Ireland's Own is affordable, fun, and delicious. We will be back!

This establishment reminds me of mediocre bar style food combined with an adult arcade and a lot of tvs. I liked how their sport coverage was larger than I have seen elsewhere. The items were priced higher than normal, but understandable during these times. The food was nothing to write home or even text home about, even with texts being unlimited these days. The "Irish nachos" did have a good quality corned beef on it, so kudos for that. The Guiness stew and our soups were cold, very much like they werent microwaved to temp. The fries were okay, but we did like the condiments which came with them.

The bartender on duty- Anna; served me sprite with grenadine and a water immediately. I also ordered teriyaki wings and friend mozzarella sticks; she even pre marinated them. LOL! Caitlyn is amazing too, with a great smile :) cheers!

Why do customers have to pay the 3% fee for the owners credit card transactions???? They owe the business it should be their cost. Other places pay their card card fee. Why can't they pay theirs???? I

Disgusting! Bloody Marys much less than good once we finally got the bartenders attention. Shepherds Pie rolls were tasteless. Ordered a Cheeseburger (medium temp), came out bloody also with blood-soaked buns. Bartender was inattentive, didn't ask why we hadn't commented on the barely eaten food. Definitely one and done.

Let me start off by saying our server was awesome. Super attentive and good personality. This dude deserves all the praise. The restaurant in general was average. It was decently crowded for a Tuesday, which gave it a fun vibe. Very reminiscent of the place where I had my 9th birthday. I ordered the Rueben. It had chopped corn beef, which I liked, and had a delicious savory sauce. Overall, it was a solid rueben. As a side I ordered the onion strings. These were not good. They tasted over cooked and had a burnt flavor. I would not order again and honestly they make me weary of ordering other fried food. Onion strings aside, it was a good experience and I will be back!

I enjoy coming here and letting the kids loose while I enjoy a glass or two. There's not many places in the area where I can do that.... so thank you! The chicken schnitzel was good every time I've had it. Similarly, my kids love the chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks every time. The buffalo chicken dip and chips was good. The Guinness stew was good. The shepherds pie was okay. The Corned Beef Reuben on rye was too fatty and greasy. Service has always been good. The food comes out timely and I've never had any issues.

I ordered this through Door Dash one night as a last resort when we were too lazy to cook or even drive anywhere. Ireland's own is a hidden culinary treat. The Jagerschnitzel is beyond incredible. Seasoned to perfection. I could've eaten 3 more of them.

Went in grabbed a drink. Wondered in to check it out. Wanted to play some video games. Machine would not take my money. Went back to the bartender "we have nothing to do with the machines.pathetic. as a business wouldn't you think the bartender would state let me see what I can to help. His attitude sucked.

We go here for trivia on Thursdays quite often. Scott and KC are a lot of fun and always keep in interesting. We went 3/10 for a birthday dinner. Two had the salmon, 1 had prime rib sandwich and I had prime rib dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their meal including the sides and drinks. The brownie desert was outstanding. Great service from Nikki, we even played some skeet-ball and basketball after dinner. Had a great time and will continue going there

Very disappointed! We stopped in for a few drinks and dinner and walked out. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes and the bartender never even looked our way . We asked if we could get served at the other bar and that bartender acted like he didn't want to be bothered. We won't be back! our experience doesn't deserve the 1 star rating!

We stopped here because we had our dog with us and they had outdoor patio seating (also a garage door they raise in nice weather) and my husband had heard they have a good burger. He had the burger with Spaezl (kind of like Mac and cheese) and I had the eggplant Parmesan sandwich with German fried potatoes. Both were good but not great. I took the jalapeños off the sandwich (hubs put them on his burger!) and also ate it without the huge roll. Could have used a little more marinara. Server (and trainee) were excellent but food was a little slow. Loved my Magners cider (memories from Ireland).

As a fan of Irish food occasionally, I was really disappointed with the Corned Beef Reuben. Much of the meat was very fatty and unchewable. The mac & cheese side was ok but nothing to write home about. While I like the ambiance of the place, my food was subpar. I'm not sure if I'm going to give it another chance or not.

Checked this place out last night with my man and friends. It was pretty cool! Two different sides to this place. One is Iris and the other German. High tables, big bar, draft better and a full menu. We sat on the Irish side, ordered some beers and appetizers and then finished up on the German side. The appetizers were good. My only complaints was that the mahi mahi was a bit dry and the beers was a bit overpriced but everything else was pretty good. We finished up playing games on the German side. They had a small arcade area, a golf area and soccer; virtual ofcourse. We'd definitely come back and try other items on the menu and have a few more beers. They have happy hour M-F from 4-7. If you're in the West Ashley area, definitely give this place a try!

Came back after being out of the area for a few months and they've definitely upgraded on their food and their staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and beer menu. Can't wait to go back. A must try are the shepherds pie bites, they're amazing!

Went there for dinner for a second time. The first time was disappointing but thought I would give it one more try. I had the Reuben sandwich, which was almost inedible. They grilled the corned beef, which resulted in a dried out product. The previoutime I tried the prime rib sandwich, also not acceptable. It was overcooked and tough. I am done with this place.

Busy. And again , yes, busy. I guess if you like to be seen and see. It's the place to go. Not a cozy place. Has lots of atmosphere, has a stupid insane amount of big tv's! I mean ridiculous stupid amount of tv's! Why? Bar tenders are awesome friendly. I didn't have food, so no rating there for me. I would go again. Pretty much run if the mill sports bar line everything else. When will this change?! Ha!

Blonde bartender is a rude B. Literally freaked out about one of our friends drinking a vodka soda when she forgot to ID her.... . Her own fault when she saw a drink in front of her. Also not her fault but they do last call at 1130 on a Saturday night? -10. Would never be back. Kitchen was closed by 1030 too...

It was good food. The hostess upfront was friendly and welcoming. The waitress we had definitely needs more training or maybe she just new. But the food was overall good and can't wait to come back again

Food is decent but service is great. Definitely a bar at night. Fun game area in the back. There seems to be two different restaurants attached to each other with vastly different feels. A fun hang out spot that can get loud sometimes. Really tasty crab dip.
