Out of this world wings, jerk chicken, plantains, and beef patties! The grapefruit drink was excellent too. Service was super friendly and we got our food fast. No complaints. I highly recommend stopping by Irie in Midtown Global Market. We left feeling full and happy.

This was my first time coming here and I am sooo impressed! I’m very picky when it comes to my rice and peas and theirs did not disappoint-very soft, tender, and fluffy. There’s also that hint of sweetness which I love. I ordered a small oxtail which came along with the rice and cabbage. Before I placed my order I overheard a patron joke with the chef about them “skimping” on the cabbage. To my surprise it was a bit true! Lol. The flavors were immaculate- the oxtail came with a bit of juice which enhanced the overall flavors of the bowl. All in all, the food touched the lid of the container so I was happy with that, it was more than enough to eat on throughout the day. I also got the fried plantains because duhhh! Those were also really good, super soft and sweet. Bonus!!! There’s a restaurant behind this one that has yams and Mac on their menu! I got sides of those to pair with my Oxtail Bowl.

Wow. First time visiting. It was all good. Wraps with shrimp were freshly made in front of me. Server apologized for the wait but it was well worth it. Server was very friendly and professional. Workspace was clean and organized. It's located inside of the market place and there were tables to dine at. I would dine here again next time I am in the area. Great job.

I have been to this place about 4 times now and each is better than the last. I have finally got something other than a beef patty. Let me tell you, outside of these two guys being the sweetest and kindest. This food was chef's kiss. I enjoyed this food so much its crazy. The portion size was outstanding freshly cooked. I got the ox tails plate and baby let me tell you this was amazing. I have never tried plantain at all but I would eat it every day if I could. I don't know what else to say but make your way over there. Just go !!

So happy to have this place in the Midtown Global Market! The coconut shrimp was good. The jerk wings were flavorful , spicy, and juicy. These are quality jerk wings. I was blown away by the Rasta pasta. So much savory goodness and I added shrimp. Absolutely delicious, Irie Express is definitely one to check out!

Food was great!! Everything came out fresh and it was so good!! Never had Jamaican food before. I thought it would be spicier but it was nice for the first time trying it. I also tried the fresh pressed juice, was looking for a lot more ginger with the pine apple but overall I will be going back so long as the service doesn’t decline.

Yelp
The food is amazing, I tried both the Jerk chicken plate and he Oxtail stew and they were both sooo tasty. They also gave me a free drink for being a returning customer. this place is a vibe.

Yelp
Don't miss this spot! I decided to try this instead of my usual Midtown Market spots and it's an immediate favorite. I got an order of jerk chicken with rice and beans. Omg, my first bite blew my mind, I've had a lot of rice and beans in my day and these were maybe the best I've had. The chicken was great too, wonderful jerk flavor and juicy, succulent meat. Not that spicy. The order was huge, and it also came with a pair of great fried plantains. I got a Jamaican soda for a drink and loved it, eager to try the other flavors next time. Can't wait to dig into the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Overwhelmed by the options on our first visit to Midtown Global Market we reluctantly agreed to just a snack from Irie Jamaican Express. We both got the beef patties and boy were they good! They were served up quick with a smile and we proceeded to devour them. The folks working were pleasant and the vibe is inviting. The place is a little quiet for a Friday early evening, but don't let that deter you! The food is full of delicious flavor and Jamaican spices. We'll definitely circle back to try their other offerings.

Yelp
There's a huge misrepresentation of what they claim is oxtail stew, and the portion size is for a kid or a sample size! The oxtails are sweet like candy and they are way over priced for what you get, very sad and disappointing. Was not impressed and will never order again. This was pitiful and I hate to give a bad review but someone should have warned me so here I am, warning you!
