I can’t say enough about how AMAZING the food is here!! My son & I tried it for the first time on October 7th, and I’m SO glad we did! I didn’t know what to get, so the guy let us try the different types of chicken so we could see what we liked! I didn’t get his name, but I was REALLY impressed with his customer service! He was very welcoming & polite!(It was about 12:15pm, and he had little round glasses on that he wore low on his nose) He deserves a raise for sure!! 🙌🏼. The food was cooked & seasoned PERFECTLY, and the portions were very generous for the price! This is our new favorite food spot! 🤤🥰

Absolutely incredible! The jerk chicken with rice and beans, cabbage, and plantains was one of the most flavorful and satisfying meals I’ve ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, the sides were fresh and full of flavor, and everything tasted homemade with love. You can tell the chef puts real care into every dish. I’ll definitely be coming back again—this meal was unforgettable!

Food is amazing! Portions are awesome too for the price you pay. We love the 1/2 savory and 1/2 jerk chicken with mango salsa & clinateo lime sauce! -chef kisses—— Also they have THE best cornbread in Cleveland. Got over 8 of them for a Thanksgiving dinner & everyone raved about them. Will be back again to see if I can buy a loaf or so!

The customer service was exceptional; the lady patiently explained all the food items and also provided helpful recommendations. The food quality was high, the establishment was impeccably clean and hygienic, and the prices were reasonable. Furthermore, the dishes were freshly prepared, resulting in an excellent overall dining experience. A visit is highly recommended.

This place is absolutely delicious! I love the flavors of Jamaican food but can’t handle the spice. I like how they have different options including non spicy meat. Everything is always so yummy including the cabbage!

This place is incredible, and the food is great! But, they don’t fill the bowls up enough. If you’re paying $14 for a small bowl, it should at least be packed full. They leave a lot of space for macaroni, and then only add 2 small scoops of chicken. I will try again but if it’s not filled there is no point in going there for me.

This is a hidden gem that is one not too miss. I grabbed a box lunch and lemonade and stuffed myself down at the park by the zoo. Perfect mesl.

The food here is amazing! We take out maybe once a month and every single time it is absolutely delicious. So flavorful, just the right spice and a healthy portion. The gentlemen working are always super friendly. Highly recommend!

We love Irie! It is our go to spot when we're hungry and don't have food at home. Their box with rice + protein, cabbage, and plantains is delicious and enough food for leftovers! I love to add the cilantro sauce and a side of Mac and cheese for the perfect meal!

You don't have to fly to Montego Bay to try Jamaican food, you can find it right here in Cleveland! I was on my lunch break and wanted something different, so a quick internet search led me to Irie. While not a sitdown restaurant, there are numerous dishes that are sure to suit a variety of tastes. The menu is comprised of dishes that include chicken, beef, oxtail, and sides such as plantains and mac & cheese. The portion sizes range from a bowl (small) to a box (large). Upon walking in there were a few patrons waiting in line which gave me ample time to decide on what to order. I opted for the vegan bowl, which came with rice and mango salsa and was topped with plantains. Overall, Irie serves healthy and delicious choice that is bursting with flavor!

Great customer service. Store was hot and humid so we waited outside for our order. I was disappointed in the food. Oxtails were tough and not flavorful. Jerk chicken was spicy but not seasoned well. Mac and cheese was just okay. The best thing was the cabbage.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Some of the best food I've tried in a while. My husband and I randomly decided to get Irie for take out on a Saturday night, after driving past it a million times and seeing it all over social media. We got the jerk chicken box which comes with rice and beans, cabbage, and plantains. This combination of flavors is perfect, delicious, and amazing. The cabbage was simple yet a perfect balance with the spice of the chicken. The plantains were cooked perfectly and a sweet touch to the box. We ordered it again a week later!! This time I added the Buddha vegetables and it made it even better, if that was possible!! For a great mix of flavors and great quality food you need to try this place asap!!

I started ordering food from here around mid-year, and they have yet to disappoint! The food is delicious, fresh and very filling. I can see why the Three Likkle Birds dish is on Chef Omar's features and favorites list because it rocketed up to the top of mine as well. Each type of chicken is cooked to perfection, and the combination of their three different sauces laid out next to each other is heavenly. Experiencing the different heat levels over a bed of rice really warms you up on the inside. The loaded chicken patties were also a delightful bite to eat. You can get these with many different combinations, although my personal favorite is with mac n cheese and the cucumber salsa. I could rave for days about the freshness of the cucumber salsa, and I would easily buy a jar of it by itself if I could. For anyone who has never tried Jamaican food, like myself earlier this year, please do yourselves a favor and give this place a try. You won't regret it!

Irie is a whole vibe! Food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I've always had a pleasant experience no matter the location but HUGE shoutout to Irie on Pearl. I came in on a dreary Friday and just wanted to pick up my food and go. There were a few people ahead of me, people coming in and out for meal delivery, etc. The woman behind the line had such great energy, she was talking to everyone. She was bubbly, friendly, outgoing, and so sweet. She was running out of items and communicating with the chef but made sure to keep everyone in the loop as well. I wanted to stay and hang out just because of her energy!! I didn't wait long at all, this sweet woman even snuck in a complimentary cornbread for the wait. (I see you, Blondie. Thank you for that sweet little gesture!) Highly recommend for the food AND experience!!

Was in Cleveland for the whole day of Friday. Was hungry and I was on the mood for oxtails and boy oh boy I found the spot. I ordered the oxtails rice bowl and it's was heavy holding it. The employees were friendly and quick. I loved the oxtails it had flavor and was tender. The plantains were tasty and so a was the cabbage. I was full for the whole day and I'm a big guy. I will for sure be back here for more Jamaican food. Love this place.

Irie kitchen was absolutely delightful. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in. I got a vegan bowl. They were very informative about what sauces were vegan and which weren't. It had to be one of the most delicious meals I've had compared to the islands. The cabbage in the bowl was cooked to perfection. The bowl also had plantains, chickpeas and rice. I will def be back to patronize. Highly recommend.

Delicious. I've eaten here twice now, and while it always clears out my sinuses very effectively, it's never too spicy to cover up all the amazing flavors of the jerk chicken. Even the rice and beans is flavorful, not just substrate for sauces.

Irie Jamaican Kitchen lives up to the hype! I was so excited to discover that Irie is newly delivering on UberEats. When we saw it, we knew we had to order immediately! We have been hearing about them forever and following their beautiful Jamaican dishes on social media. For dinner, I had the Half & Half Box (half jerk chicken/half curry chicken) with peas and rice, curry vegetables and plantains. To be honest, it wasn't my most favorite combo on earth. But, I think it's because we really didn't know what we were doing when we ordered and the menu didn't have a ton of description. Next time I'll get it with full curry chicken. I liked the jerk chicken but it was pretty spicy for me personally. The curry chicken had a great, creamy flavor to it that was addictive! The curry vegetables had a lot of onion in it for me, but I'm just not someone that can eat onions. That being said, I'm not dumb, and I know good food when I see it, even if I didn't order the best combination for me personally. Let tell you though, I am still dreaming about those plantains. They were perfectly fried, crunchy and sweet. I absolutely loved the way they tasted with the curry chicken. The value at Irie Jamaican Kitchen is tremendous, the food is authentic and delicious and they definitely know what they are doing! I can't wait to explore more of this menu!

First, YOU NEEEEEED this place in your life! This food is GOOOD! I do NOT play about my Jamaican food at all! It is ALWAYS good and the portions are ALWAYS PERFECT. I've never received bad service at all and the mood is always a pleasant one! I have even got my co-worker's loving this place as well! This is truly one of my GO-TO spots!!!

After living in Old Brooklyn for the past 6 months, my husband and I finally made our way over to Irie for lunch. The interior is set-up like a Chipotle and there is no room for sitting. You order your preference of base - whether you want a box, a bowl, a rasta pasta, or a mac and cheese, and then you choose your protein and toppings. There is a big variety here for proteins: everything from veggie curry to oxtail to classic jerk chicken. My husband got a bowl with veggie curry and enjoyed it a lot - he thought the rice and beans combo that is the base of the bowl was especially good. I couldn't decide on a base, so I opted for none! I got a side of jerk chicken and a side of cornbread. With their powers combined, they were a full meal. The jerk chicken had a really nice heat - it wasn't overwhelming but it built low and slow. By the time I was done eating my nose was dripping a bit but my mouth wasn't on fire. I thought the sauce on the jerk chicken in particular was good and the cook on the chicken was perfect and smoky. The cornbread I had was tasty - but on the second piece which had cooled down a little bit, I kept getting faint hints of freezer burn. I wonder if they put them in the freezer and then heat them up when someone orders? From a business perspective that would make a ton of sense - but they should cover them better in the freezer to prevent that taste. I consider this to be a fluke though and it wasn't a deal breaker, so we'll be back to try more in the future!

Our food was good but they were out of a lot of options so there was a lot that we were not able to try. They were out of shrimp, veggies, oxtail & banana pudding. The girl working said it was because it was a Saturday evening, so we'll know for next time to go early or on a week night.

Placed a catering order for 50 people with short notice. 2 days later I called and added 20 more people to my order, with many of the items needing to go to a separate location. When I arrived to pick up the food, they had everything separated exactly how I needed. It was all packaged for either location A or location B. Also included was place settings for 70 which were also divided perfectly for each location. The food was amazing! Everyone raved about the robust flavors. They helped me choose a variety of spicy and non-spicy items to satisfy everyone's palate. I would highly recommend!

Food is decent. The portion size is on the small size though and not equivalent to the price paid. Overall, it's worth checking out.

I was so excited to finally have Jamaican food near me, sadly took so long to finally make it here but I am so glad I did! First off, need to start by saying it is not a sit down type place, just as a heads up. The food appears fresh and homemade. I ordered the traditional chicken curry box (I was starving) which includes red bean and rice, the sweet plantains (I grew up on that-tropical creature here!) and a side of cabbage. They do not skimp on portions. This meal was so worth it. I also got the Jamaican beef patty and it was so good. The staff was friendly. I will come back again for sure. My only (diminutive ) complaint was that I was unable to add tip on card, has to be cash but I don't usually carry cash.

I don't even know where to start. My family and I (from Atlanta and Upstate NY) converged upon Cleveland, OH. We were looking for a great place to have a meal and based upon the reviews we were excited to try this restaurant. Nothing about this place was authentic Jamaican or American food. It was flavorless and inedible. We purchased over $100 in food, the banana pudding taste like eggnog, the oxtails were chewy and undercooked, as well as, the Beef Patties (undercooked). Our first indication should have been there was no aroma, at all, in the restaurant (good or bad). And, if you're a true Jamaican connoisseur you know there is always aroma bursting from any restaurants we've ever patronized. I've never had a completely bad experience - where there wasn't something I could not salvage. Well, this place has finally helped me check that off my list. Would not recommend this place to anyone, except, an enemy. The service was lackluster as well. From the exterior and interior decor of the restaurant I had high hopes for this restaurant. However, they were completely dissolved after tasting the food! I'm sorry. I don't typically post negative reviews about establishments, however, I believe ppl need to be warned before going here. Ask for a sample. Trust me.

I've been wanting to check out Irie for a while, and I'm so excited to have finally had the chance. Large portions are important to me, and the jerk chicken box did not disappoint! The chicken was super juicy and the jerk seasoning was pretty spicy (as expected), which was exactly what I wanted. The PLANTAINS! I had a hard time saving two of the four for later. They were perfectly caramelized with a little bit of crispiness on the outside. The cabbage was also great and I had to hold back from eating all of it in one sitting as well. The curried vegetables were a welcome side option, which included red and green peppers, onions, chickpeas, and sweet potato. YUM. In addition to the excellent food, the online ordering process was super simple, and my order was ready precisely on time. I'm looking forward to exploring more of Irie's menu!

This is my first Yelp review and I'm happy to make it. I got the jerk chicken box and loved it. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Then once you add the rice, beans, cabbage, and plantains it was a perfectly well-rounded and tasty lunch. The mango salsa was an addition that made a good impression. I wish I could buy that by the jar. I did online order and pickup so I didn't get to interact with the staff much. The place was busy with lunch pickups and the staff still tried to enhance COVID protocols by asking some of us to wait outside. (I don't envy any front-line worker who has to do that.) My only regret is that I waited so long to finally visit. I'm already thinking what my next order should be.

The food is really good especially if you enjoy spicy food the macaroni and cheese is to die for and the cabbage is really good as well sometimes a little overcooked but still good I haven't ventured at the entire menu yet but I plan to do so My only issue with this restaurant so far is the customer service every single time I have visited this establishment which has probably been about 6 times so for every single worker seems to be having a bad day they are always in a bad mood never welcoming and just all in all seem like they don't want to be there I am a person who feeds off of energy I can be completely happy before I walk in there and as soon as I start interacting with one of the workers they immediately drop my energy down and just make me feel uncomfortable

Ordered lunch from Door Dash and everything we tried was amazing! Food was still hot when it arrived and our order was 100% accurate. The jerk chicken bowl was delicious! It was fresh and well seasoned! A great dish for someone trying Jamaican food for the first time. The three little chicken dish was an awesome way to try all the chicken styles- jerk, curry, and stewed! Personally loved the stewed but they were all great! Generous portions. We will definitely be ordering from here again!!

Going to the zoo? Make sure to pickup Irie for a picnic before! Irie brings it's wonderful Jamaican flavors to the West Side in a carryout only location you cant miss when driving. Between the stewed, jerk and curry options you can't go wrong with any. Although I wish the jerk options had a bit more kick and would punch me with some more spice. My biggest issue with Irie is the slow service and online ordering process. Every time I order online I find myself waiting outside while seeing my order ready to go while other customers crowd the inside waiting for food. Also be careful to not order from the wrong location. Whatever you order, don't skip on the plantains.

i wish i could leave no stars, i paid $25.94 and the restaurant literally gave me 3 oxtails, 3 oxtails!!!! a ton of rice & peas, i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, i was beyond disappointed and i will never ever order anything from them again if you do decide to order from them, call them first to see how many oxtail you get in the box order, the manager i spoke to told me, the bowl order gets two (bones) servings and the box order get three (bones) servings. such a horrible disappointment fool me once

Simply amazing. Literally everything we've tried is on point. I would highly recommend the jerk chicken, stew chicken, and ox tail. The curry chicken and jerk shrimp are good but second tier. Do yourself a huge favor and check this place out!

I need more spice! More in depth flavor! BUT! I need to keep in mind that they are new, and so that means a lot can change in a short amount of time. So I will definitely be back to try again. I ordered food from here twice and both times my food was messed up. I paid 25$ for 2 oxtails ,2 fucking oxtails. And the shit was disgusting. Door dash refused to give me a refund and the restaurant is not holding any accountability. What a waste. I'll never eat here again.
