Love love love this place! Absolutely everything we have tried here tastes fantastic! I had the shepherd's pie, and it was just as delicious as last time. The chips and artichoke dip were great. Please bring back the cheese steak egg rolls 🙏

Google
Came here 9 pm on a Tue looking for a quick, delicious dinner and boy did this place deliver! I sat myself and the bartender got me a menu right away. I put my order in and got my beer within 5 minutes and my appetizer (Brussel sprouts) a few minutes after that. Both were fantastic. My entree, bangers and Mash, arrived shortly after I finished my appetizer and it was delicious! Then I got checked out and on my way super quick. I was really impressed with both the food quality and service here! Highly recommend for Irish food, and only slight con and I can of is that it's a bit pricey as I paid ~$50 with tip for 1 beer, an appetizer, and an entree.

Google
I got the shepherd’s pie which was good. It could’ve used more mashed potatoes on top and the gravy was a little heavy but still good. I went on a Monday night and the atmosphere was very laid back and chill. I’d recommend this place. Their prices could be slightly better but for downtown DC, it was reasonable I guess.

Google
We stopped in for an early dinner and had no wait. The server, Dave, was very attentive. We shared the Spice Bag and then Bangers and Mash. The spice bag was fun and different and we really liked the curry sauce with it. The bangers were good, the Brussels sprouts were tasty and the gravy was absolutely delicious!

Google
The Bartender was amazing and made one of the best Ling Islands Ive ever had. We had a great experience and we will be back!! I highly recommend this establishment, the customer service was awesome and the vibe was so chill.

Rose Amadeus

Google
I highly recommend. I got the shrimp tacos and they were very good. People in my party got, corn beef sandwich, Chipotle chicken sandwich and chicken Alfredo. Everyone enjoyed their meals! Oh and the French fries are fantastic.

Google
Holy crap this place is amazing. Seriously the most flavorful food with portions that will fill 2. Great service, true Irish Pub. The atmosphere is welcoming and the place is where you want to be with friends. Food till 11pm and drinks till 2am, music, sports and conversation. Waitress was conversational and helped and encouraged some choices. Seriously this is a must go.

Google
Oh my GOODNESS!!!! The food was so amazing. Service was amazing. We got the Nachos, Sheppard pie and the meatballs. Meatballs were my favorite, but the pie was really good as well. The atmosphere was loud and what you would expect from a "Pub" so not ideal for young kids but we will definitely be back next time we are in DC.

Yelp
Irish Pub Love! Everything about this pub is delightful! From the first-class service, extensive whiskey selection, melt in your mouth pot roast to the warm hug of their bread pudding. I love the Irish Channel Restaurant and Pub - I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Ordered the spice bag to go in advanced over the phone. Had to wait some time before it was ready. The spice bag was good, but not as good as the other one I had. The fries were not very crispy, but still spiced well. There's also jalapeños, so watch out for that if you don't like spicy. I liked the curry sauce, it's similar to Japanese curry. The portion was definitely enough for one person, but it was on the smaller side.

Yelp
Food was not good at all. Got the Guinness meatballs which we were excited about. But we're gross actually. The ambience needs major help too. Could be a cool place but it was dirty and unorganized. Too bad. Could be a cool place in a fun location.
google avatar

Yelp
Descent food semi cold beer the service was excellent and ambiance had fish and chips

Yelp
This spot nails the cozy pub atmosphere with a side of mouthwatering goodness. The place feels like a second home, and the food? Pure comfort. I got the nachos and the hot wings -- both of which were delicious! I'll definitely be frequenting this place again.

Yelp
We came to watch the first Jets game of the season, and we loved the energy of all the fans at the bar! The place was packed and people were having a good time (well, at least for the first few minutes of the game)! We were able to snag a table and order some beers, tenders, and mozz sticks. The food is your regular bar food. The beers were nice and cold! We had a fun time hanging with the fans. We were bummed about the start of the game and the outlook of the Jets season but we hope to come back for another watch night.
google avatar

Yelp
My cousins host an annual St. Patty's Day party here and this was my first time. What a welcoming and wonderful environment! Everyone was so happy and friendly, good drinks, good food, and our server, Genesis, could not have been nicer! Love this Irish pub and can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
This bar is a great place to watch an NFL game, it is a Jets bar, but not the rowdy folks rather a fun group. The food was AMAZING! I had a delicious brunch chicken sandwich and some French toast and both were worth it! The mimosas were also very good and strong, just how I like it. Great service, it does get packed so you'll take a while to find a seat BUT I promise that you'll have a great time around true football fans. Also, if you didn't know, I'm a Giants fan and I came there in all blue for the Giants/Jets game but it was all love and fun. Highly recommend this sports bar.

Yelp
We were in DC for a hockey game and we wanted a special place filled with excitement to get our energy going for the game. An Irish pub ... perfect! Close to Capital One and the hotel ... check. So, we chose the Irish Channel. It's always weird to attempt to explain that some things were so right but other elements fell flat. But, if you notice the review is four stars and that's the good news. So, first the bad ... there was absolutely NO ENERGY in the pub. None ... you could almost hear a pin drop and this was the "dinner" hour immediately before a hockey game and the pub was filled with folks wearing Washington's red jerseys. So, my only critique of the pub's management ... put on some music and create some energy. Perhaps this was an anomaly but my brother and I were in GAME MOOD so even while definitely noting the lack of energy we went on with our meal. I should note that this is NOT FINE DINING but very few folks reading a review about an Irish Pub are seeking perfected table cloths with those oddly starched napkins creased in ways that napkins should never have to be folded because they are after all napkins. The decor and set up might match a pub from the streets of Dublin or Killarney. We didn't have table service but the bartender was SUPERB! As I scanned the brews that are available my mind blurred perhaps more a result of having been on the road for a couple of hours and the quiet of the pub but he looked at me and asked ... "What do you like?" Thankfully, my mind was clear enough to describe my FAV kind of IPA and he smiled saying "I have the perfect choice for you." And, he did ... made me happy from the first sip to the last drop! The menu is "typical" but we each had something in mind. My brother went for the FISH & CHIPS (As Buffalonians, our definition of a fish fry or fish and chips always includes haddock but even when you wear Buffalo sports' gear you can't expect haddock.) and I chose the Guinness Stew. Although our bar keep disappeared after providing that superb IPA for me the service never lessened. Each staff person we interacted with was conversational, upbeat, and ready to answer our questions. I guess I have been missing Guinness Stew because I smiled as my meal was placed before me and yes, it tasted so good. Melt away beef and a tasty rich broth. My brother was very happy with the fish and chips. So, THE BOYS who each had drive hundreds of mile for a hockey game left the pub full and ready for the game knowing that in the arena we'd be loud even if the Washington fans consider quiet the way to prepare for their team's games.

Yelp
Excellent Irish pub located in the Fairfield Inn hotel. Great ambiance and classic Irish bar setup. Our server was excellent making sure we had all we need. I started with the Deviled Eggs which were superb. Stuffed with jalapeño and sitting on a radish. Very good. My son had Irish Nachos. Seasoned potatoes, ground beef, jalapeños, spring onions, diced tomatoes with cheese. Super tasty. I had a great Steak and Cheese Philly cheese steak and he had a blackened salmon sandwich.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a Thursday night and instantly felt welcome! The bar seating was comfy and the prices were really good for being right near the Captiol One Arena (still can't get used to saying that, RIP Verizon Center!) I had a wicked hot toddy, and topped it off with a Guinness! They have trivia nights twice a week and for a random Thursday night it was packed, so I can only assume their food is good as their drinks! Definitely plan on going back soon!
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Came here to watch a Spurs game over breakfast. And yes I ordered a proper Guinness for breakfast. It was delish. As for the food, it was solid. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito though the potatoes were a bit bland. Service was very nice and it was a great place to watch the game.

Yelp
The Irish pub at the edge of Chinatown. They have Trivia nights on Tuesday (maybe other days as well). I cannot say anything specific about their food. I tried just some appetisers. But I didn't feel an Irish vibe. There are a couple of other pubs near the Union Station and I like them better.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a few pints and had a great time. The bartender was super friendly even tho he could tell we were not local. Service was good even as the placed filled up for trivia night. Didn't eat here but the food looked above average for an Irish pub style bar.

Yelp
This would be a "No" for me. Service: This was a Saturday night and it was nice crowd size already included. Was greeted when I came in and was told to choose my own seat. There was about a 10 minute wait before the waiter could show up because they were working several stations by their self. The waiter still provided great customer service and apologized for the wait. Food: NO....this was the worst food I've had since the first time I've tried to cook for myself. For an Irish Pub, I didn't think you could mess up Fish & Chips. Fish was hard and not eatable and the sweet potato fries were burnt. I was asked to have it re-made but I wasn't going to take that chance. My drink was just juice. There was absolutely NO alcohol in my drink (And this is coming from a non-drinker). Overall: Unfortunately, I can not recommend this place for food or drinks. If you want to just hangout or maybe a beer (I hope they can't mess up beer).

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem after looking at the national law enforcement memorial. Loved all the Irish decor and menu options with traditional Irish fare. We didn't eat but the food looked good. Bartender was super friendly and kept the Guiness and Magners coming. Quite the happening and busy spot but super laid back.

Yelp
It was packed here on St. Patrick's Day (duh) but we were able to find a corner spot and ordered lunch from a floating waitress. My friend had the infamous corned beef and cabbage platter and I had the Ruben sandwich with fries. Pleasantly surprised that the food was very good. She loved the mound of a carrot-like salad on the corned beef platter (it looked like an orange potato salad-at first we thought that). It was so good that as we were leaving she asked for a side to bring home! And the waitress complied. The place was packed but the service was good. We really had no table to eat our lunch on but when the food did arrive, she had brought us a small black metal tv-tray-like table that accommodated us just fine. It was a pleasant & delicious lunch despite the boisterous and happy St. Patrick standing-room crowd!

Yelp
I'm such a fan of this place. Super low key. Came for a a scavenger hunt and the one guy was servicing us so well and handling the bar.
google avatar

Arielle W.

Yelp
We stayed at the Fairfield Marriott and this is the pub attached. We had a few other things while we were there and tried this the last night. Bummed we didn't eat there for every meal. This food was outstanding. The fries were flavorful and loaded. Chicken was perfectly crispy. Soo good!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Trivia on Tuesday night is super fun! Usually a full crowd with an excellent atmosphere. Great selection of beers and always high quality service. Only downside is the food isn't the best, but if you come here you won't leave upset.

Taylor C.

Yelp
Happened to visit this place on St. Patty's day weekend without thinking about it (in town for ACC tournament) and it was the best experience ever. Had a yummy beer, yummy fries, and while tipsy an Irish dancing group came in to perform. Great afternoon and super cool place. I'll definitely be bringing family back!
google avatar

Phil M.

Yelp
If you are in the area, swing by this neat little pub. Great service and friendly people make an excellent combination. Throw in a fantastic selection of beer, bourbon and Whiskey with a sprinkle of tasty food and you have a destination. HIGHLY recommend the Spicy Bag, Fish and Chips and Bangers and Mash. While you're there, try a shot of Roe and Co. So tasty!

Yelp
Great pub in the heart of DC, one of the city's few saving graces. Great staff and great food in the heart of China Town
google avatar

Kelley N.

Yelp
Feels like being transported to Ireland and going to a local pub. Atmosphere- very much pub atmosphere where the staff is very warm and welcoming. Staff were attentive and came by frequently to pick up plates and refill drinks. Food - I ordered the sheppards pie and fish and chips. Sheppard pie was beautiful and extremely flavorful. Which tasted like a family recipe. The fish was beautifully fried and were generous in size. The French fries were fresh and just the right amount of salt. Overall, this is a great place to grab a bite to eat, grab a beer, and enjoy the game!
google avatar

Ethan G.

Yelp
I absolutely love coming to Irish Channel every Tuesday night for trivia. It is such a fun vibe and something I look forward to every week. There is clearly a loyal fanbase to trivia, as so many teams return meaning they must be doing something right. The servers are absolute sweethearts (shoutout to Queen Marie) and they are always so pleasant whenever our group sees them. The food is nothing to rave about but it is still pretty good.

Yelp
Great Irish Pub at the Fairfield Inn in Washington DC . Staff were awesome, Joe the bartender is fantastic and their spice bag is delicious . Also i really enjoyed the pint of Guinness!
google avatar

Dianne C.

Yelp
I always get carry-out from the pub when I stay in this area. It is convenient to the Fairfield Inn. The food and service are very good. I have tried several different sandwiches and both desserts. The food is very good.
google avatar

Ramia B.

Yelp
Even the decor is super cluttered and a little dirty looking, but it is a great bar over all the food is excellent, I highly recommend the fish and chips the fries were coated with something super delicious and the fish was very crispy on the outside and super fluffy and flaky on the inside. I got the black and blue beer and it was made to perfection. I also like walking by the funny signs they put outside. Over all very good and will definitely be back soon
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
This place sucks. We walked here at 1am and they were closed. Owner says they did last call at 130. It is 1am! Then the owner tells me they are closed....
google avatar

LInda C.

Yelp
This pub caught my eye because they had outdoor seating. I'd been visiting DC for several days and this was the first "sunshine" day. It was across the street from a lovely church and the bells chimed at noon. I had a Ruben Sandwich. As Ruben's go, it was good; could have used a little more sauerkraut, but I ate the whole thing! The fries were served in a cute little basket and were very crispy. The waitress was pleasant and they had Prosecco, so I was a happy camper! The restroom was big and clean.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
I visited on a cold December afternoon to hang with the Capital Jets fans. They had very reasonable deals on beer buckets and the staff was very welcoming. I didn't try any food, so I can't offer an opinion on that. But it was a nice place to visit and hang with some good decent people.
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
I'm almost remiss to write this review in the spirit of gatekeeping, but this place is a hidden gem! I've been coming here weekly for the better half of a year to play trivia, and its honestly one of the best places to play in the District. The servers are welcoming, the drinks are cheap, and the food is good! Whether you're coming in to town and need a nightcap for yourself at the bar, or you and a large group are just looking for a place to sit & chat, this place can provide you everything. The amount of regulars (self proclaimed regular) tells me everything i need to know about the bar's intentions, and they definitely deliver.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Pretty run of the mill irish pub. Went there for lunch and had a few pints of guineas and some fish and chips (pretty average tasting, nothing special). Service was really nice (even split the checks up without us needing to ask!). Ambiance was pretty dead, but that's what you should expect for any pub in the afternoon to be fair. I'd imagine this place is much better when the evening crowds come around, but for a spot to grab a simple lunch and a beer, there are better places. Either way, it's a pretty decent spot if you're looking for a quick bite to eat and want to catch a game or 2, but I would explore other spots for lunch personally.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
We are staying in a nearby hotel. The staff was attentive and the food was good. The bartender was attentive and conversational.
google avatar

Trevor B.

Yelp
I had the pot roast with mash potatoes and mixed vegetables. The pot roast was extremely flavorful and tender. It was filling and I would definitely get it again. The service was prompt and friendly. They were very attentive and we never had an empty glass whether it be the water or other beverages. It is an Irish style pub, obviously, so they had soccer games and other sporting events on the TVs. Good spot to grab a bite and a drink.

Matt Z.

Yelp
Busy place at 5:00 on a Saturday night. I had the soup (sausage gumbo) and the fish and chips. Both were good but couldn't compare to the blueberry and peach bread pudding with the coconut crust. That alone is woth the visit. The atmosphere is energetic and my server Avonda was attentive but didn't visit too often.
google avatar

Cathy F.

Yelp
Beer and food prices were fair. I got a steak and cheese which was honestly great. Fries nice and crispy. The burger my husband got was also good. Service was excellent and attentive. The thing they could improve on was the lighting, we could barely see the menu and since the bar area was so dimly lit the overall vibe was not the best. If they would invest in the atmosphere a bit more then this place would probably do a bit better.

Keara L.

Yelp
A fun Irish bar! Highly recommend their shepherds pie and the spice bag. My family and I have gone to the Irish Channel a couple time before caps games and the atmosphere is great - lots of TVs and a large bar! Definitely a must try if you are in the DC area
google avatar

S R.

Yelp
I've been frequenting this bar for about a year now and it never disappoints! The servers and bartenders are always kind and efficient. The wings and spice bag are my favorite dishes! I love chilling out on the patio. And it's a great place to watch sports. Trivia on Tuesdays is fun too!

Veronica S.

Yelp
Love, love the Channel, fabulous food, great staff. Excellent musicians, a fun time. Hope to see all the crew again. Best fish and chips. Friendly staff and the perfect pint of Guinness
google avatar

Norm C.

Yelp
Solid pub. Good selection of beer and drinks. Looked liked lots of regulars which was a good sign. They pour a proper pint of Guiness so that told me a lot. Had a chicken wrap which was ok. Fries were great. Stayed to play trivia which was fun. Its a Spurs bar so be aware if you're a Gooner. Enjoyed my time here.
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
I actually liked this place. It has that pub feel w/o the pretentious and slightly exclusive feel of a regular Irish Pub. And it has a black bartender, kudos to that. Don't think I've ever been to an "Irish" bar even in CA that had a black bartender. And the only reason I gave it a "3" is because I couldn't get a seat during Euro Cup eventhough I got there a little early :-). If I'm back in DC, I will need to go to this place again.

Kelly G.

Yelp
My group came to watch football and the service was fantastic! We will be back for sure!! Loved the Irish nachos!
google avatar

Cynthia H.

Yelp
Great little Irish pub. Our bartender Joe was great, friendly and got the banter going between the English football folks.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I ordered the burger (comes with fries) with chicken fingers as appetizers. We got there 2:45pm and right before we were directed to our table, the server said, oh, we're switching to dinner menu (which makes the same entrees, and perhaps other menu items, $1 more). Thought it would still be considered lunch time but, just noting that if you are curious about hours. - Maybe this is a common thing in businesses I didn't know about. Anyway- Food: Order chicken fingers for appetizers, and for entree, a burger with fries. Chicken fingers: for $10, not worth. Yea, it's enough to share between two people as apps, but it's not high quality at all. Probably even lower than the food I had at my college's dining hall. At least the honey mustard tastes good. The burger tasted /smokey/. We requested it medium rare but it was mostly cooked well done maybe I got one bite that exposed a bit of pink somewhere. Overall wasn't the tastiest burger. Fries were good, average. Ambience: Good vibes, especially as like happy hour or a sports bar. Saw couple of people there hanging as a work happy hour so seems chill. Service: Very good service!

Yelp
Great food and awesome service! Stayed at the hotel in the same building and popped in for dinner around 5ish. After we returned from a concert at Capital One it was after 10pm and we had the same waitress. We chatted a bit and I found out she had been working since 7:30 that morning. She had such a sweet and positive attitude despite her long shift. The food was great and the atmosphere was very laid back. A+!

Becca U.

Yelp
This place has been my local for a number of years, and for good reason. The service has always been great and the food is on point. The lemon butter salmon is always delicious if you are looking to eat healthy, and the spice bag is great if you aren't.

Raegan O.

Yelp
I'd only be able to tolerate this if I was drunk. We got appetizers, Shepards pie, Rueben's, and chicken sandwiches. All of it was awful and made with really cheap ingredients. The prices were too high for crappy bar food. Our server Jackie was so kind and helpful and was the only good part of the experience.

Emily L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! They have great food, the spice bag is my fav, great drinks, and an awesome atmosphere. It's a great place to watch any games, and a great place to go before any games if your a Nats, Caps, or Wizards fan! Definitely stop on by, you won't be disappointed.

Feargal G.

Yelp
Best bar in DC. Fantastic food, vibes and a top notch staff. Highly recommend popping in if you are in the area.
