This is a really awesome coffee shop! The converted bank space is cool, but what makes it is the great food and friendly staff. I ate here a few times during my week in Columbus and always left happy. The menu is very large and has something for everyone. A few words on everything I had over my visits:
Spicy Sweet Potato Sandwich & Wasabi Ginger Hummus Sandwich: Tasty and creative vegetarian options (and can be made vegan if you remove the cheese)! The sweet potato sandwich in particular was really memorable - I loved how the cheese melted into the sweet potato mash. Both the sourdough and wheat breads were fresh and wholesome.
Blue Cheese Slaw (side): I really enjoyed this different take on coleslaw! Tasty dressing and fresh, crunchy vegetables.
Butternut Squash Parfait: Possibly the most I've ever enjoyed a yogurt parfait. Loved the mashed squash with cinnamon, and the nut topping went very well with it.
Workout Scone: This contained dried fruits and nuts. I like baked goods with lots of "stuff" in them and this was very enjoyable. Topped with coarse sugar but the scone itself was not too sweet.
Sweet Potato Biscuit: Fresh and fluffy, and very nice heated on the grill.
Almond Toffee Pie & Coconut Pie: Both had a rich filling (especially the almond toffee) and a perfectly baked buttery crust. The toffee pie melted in my mouth and the coconut pie had large tender shreds of coconut which gave it a nice texture. The toffee pie was quite sweet, as you'd expect, but the coconut was a little lighter.
Latte, Steamer, & Iced Americano : I had the latte with almond milk and amaretto syrup, the steamer with macadamia milk and butter pecan syrup, and the americano black. Their decaf espresso is great! I usually take my drinks without sweetener but couldn't resist trying the different flavours they had, and was relieved that I could clearly taste the flavour without the drink being overly sweetened.
Kombucha: They have kombucha on tap! I took the non-alcoholic but they also have an alcoholic kombucha. I didn't ask what the flavour was, but it tasted like cranberry. On the sweeter side as far as kombucha goes, but not so much that it covered up the funky fermented taste (which is a good thing if you like kombucha).
Everything was really great, and I always felt so welcomed by the staff. The service was very efficient - they kept things moving along even at the times when it got really busy, and they use a speaker to call when orders are ready so it's easy to hear even if you're not near the counter. If this shop were located where I live I'd be going all the time.
