Tucked in the shadow of the old Voorhees Town Center, Iron Hill Brewery has staked its claim as the kind of place you stumble into and don't want to leave. The whole area feels reborn--modern and clean with a touch of soul. Think of a little European village tucked inside Jersey: restaurants and shops on the street level, with apartment balconies climbing five or six stories above, like something out of Prague or Munich but with better parking.
To be honest, my wife and I didn't plan on going. We had reservations for the Brazilian steakhouse next door and found ourselves early--forty minutes early, to be exact. We figured we'd grab a quick drink at the brewery to kill time. But as soon as we stepped inside, everything changed. It had that warm amber glow and soft hum of good conversation. The kind of place that makes you want to stay for one more round.
I'm not usually a fan of IPAs--too bitter, too trendy--but after asking for a recommendation, I ended up with a pint of "Philly Phavorite," and it lived up to its name. Crisp, clean, flavorful. A true beer lover's beer without any of the pretension. My wife went the cocktail route--handcrafted, balanced, beautiful. It looked like something out of a magazine and tasted even better.
We didn't eat that night--we were saving ourselves for endless meat skewers--but after chatting with some folks at the bar, we found out everything on the menu is made in-house, even the desserts. That sealed the deal: we'll definitely be back for dinner.
Iron Hill isn't just a brewery--it's a vibe. Friendly staff, great drinks, and a setting that feels like it was built for stories. Whether you're killing time or making it your destination, it's worth a stop. Or two. Or ten.
